We had an outstanding experience with Bradford & Kent during our kitchen remodel. We started with some ambitious ideas to bring down some load-bearing pillars and expand our kitchen space in addition to modernize it but had no idea whether it was possible. Not only did B&K help confirm early on that our dream could be realized, but they made it very easy and fun to make it come true. Andrea Shoop took our very loose layout and aesthetic ideas and created a beautiful design for us, using 3D rendering to help us iterate and ushering us through a non-intimidating process of choosing all our elements (with plenty of laughs along the way!) Our B&K project manager, Dana D'Anza, brought a high degree of discipline and detail-orientation to the project, making us feel well taken care of at every step. And that's saying a lot when we had a 20-foot steel I-beam coming through our window that needed to hold our house up! Everything B&K does is with skill and a customer-friendly approach. Highly recommend for your future house projects!

After accepting bids from several contractors, we hired B&K when we downsized houses last year. This was our fourth project with them having added 2 additions and remodeling our old house. This project was an addition doubling the size of our new cottage style house and remodeling the existing structure. They did not disappoint. Working closely with Mark and the design team, the new addition not only blends in with the old, it has greatly improved the look of the entire structure, tying both sections together into a beautiful home that 9 months in, still has neighbors complementing us on the greatly improved look of our house. The selection process was well organized by Sarah who after asking us about our taste and budget, presented us with thoughtful suggestions and made an overwhelming process, easy. Brian our construction manager, executed the project well and helped us work through numerous issues with the original structure which were revealed once the walls and ceilings were open. Our new house is very functional, solid and quite As with any major construction project, we’ve had a couple of small issues pop up post construction but they have been quickly and adequately addressed. Although we have no plans to do any further projects, we would not hesitate to work with B&K again and highly recommend them.

We had an incredible experience working with Bradford & Kent. We updated our kitchen and had hardwood floors installed throughout the first floor. From the initial visit to the completed project, everything and everyone was fantastic. Diane, our designer was able to envision and design the changes we were looking for. Our project manager, Jeff, managed the project expertly, so much so that it was completed ahead of schedule. Every person we worked with was very professional and meticulous. We are completely satisfied with the quality of workmanship and will use Bradford and Kent for any future home improvement projects.

I highly recommend Bradford & Kent for any renovation projects you are considering. They did an amazing job from start to finish on my interior renovation. As the project progressed, I ended up adding some additional items and they had no problem taking on the extra work. My project manager had an incredible ability to address any concerns that arose and reassure me when something didn’t go exactly as planned. He was extremely organized, efficient, and knowledgeable. I am so grateful to have had his guidance and leadership throughout this inherently stressful process. As a company, Bradford and Kent always stood by their work, and made corrections to all mistakes (which weren’t many, but of course things happen in any renovation) immediately upon discovery. I was very appreciative, as I have heard horror stories of other contractors not maintaining such high standards. My home is now the beautiful place I envisioned and I am so grateful to Bradford and Kent. Some of the work that B&K completed at my home: - Complete kitchen remodel - move laundry room to upstairs (create large space out of a bedroom walk-in closet and part of the bedroom with entry from hallway) - Turn previous 1st floor laundry room into a beautiful and functional mudroom that leads to back deck - remodel foyer from garage entry - refinish and extend hardwood floors throughout the entire main floor - remodel staircase - replace basement ceiling tiles …And many smaller items * I remodeled the exterior of my home the season prior and I can honestly say that I wish I would have used Bradford and Kent for that as well. Unfortunately, I went with a roofing/siding company that specializes in exterior only. I saw a house down the street in my neighborhood have almost identical exterior work done on their home by Bradford and Kent - theirs looks better. My Hardie siding has visible gaps and theirs does not. I wish I would have gone with B&K so I thought it was worth mentioning for anyone looking to do exterior work as well.

We worked with B&K on a project to add a covered porch to our house. The team was fantastic from start to finish. They were patient as we worked out the details and tweaks to the design, and the execution was top-notch. We are so happy with our end product & get compliments from all the neighbors. Highly recommend B&K!

Bradford & Kent was great to work with from design through construction. During design, Greg took time to listen to our wish list and came up with a great design combining our too small dining room and outdate kitchen layout with a larger, more functional space. The 3D views he provided gave us confidence in the overall layout. We even have cabinet space that we have not used yet. Mary Kate patiently attended to our cabinet, counter and fixture selection as we went through the tremendous variety of each. She even steered us away from selections that, now that the kitchen has been completed, we are completely happy with. Brian was great during construction keeping us informed and up to date on all construction activities. All construction projects have their unexpected challenges and ours was no exception. The few small issues that did arise were quickly and happily addressed by Brian and his team.

Bradford and Kent did our kitchen and exterior remodel. From the beginning, we had excellent design help. During the construction process they kept us up to date in every way with great and thorough communication. Construction went smoothly. All people involved definitely knew what they were doing. Everything turned out exactly as we wanted and we would definitely use this company again.

Everything B.K. did was excellent, on time and budget. The designers who helped plot out remodeling our kitchen were very imaginative and conscious of our budget. The management were involved every day to communicate to me what theitlr expectation were for the day and to coordinate with the B.K. team The management also return at end of day to review the integrity of the work that was completed. The only unscheduled delay in their timeframe occurred due to the late arrival of some cabinets that needed to be installed before the backsplash could be applied in a small are of the kitchen. This did not prevent other scheduled work to proceed as expected.

B&K and I worked on two different projects, a basement remodel and front entrance door replacement. Both projects were run from start to finish, by B&K's project mgr.'s and sales team. Both projects turned out great. I highly recommend giving them a look.

We just had Bradford and Kent install these 2 picture windows where there were no windows at all. We had an awesome experience with Chris who came out for the initial consult and Emily who oversaw the entire project. We had used this company in the past for a kitchen renovation project and were very familiar with the process. We had some hiccups this time around but Emily handled everything with ease. She was on top of the last minute changes and handled everything very professionally. She communicated everything immediately and we always felt like she kept us in the loop. I highly recommend them for your future window needs.

I have completed a project with this company, and it was a one of the worse thing I ever did. I have add pictures to verify all my statements are true. At the end of the project I had to hire a lawyer because the contractor wanted to buy there watanty back. We did sell the watanty back to them because they would not be able to handle it. So please contact me and I am more then happy to give you a tour of my quality job. You have many choices. Please do your research and talk with people. We recently used Bradford & Kent to completely gut and remodel our kitchen, laundry room (moved to a new location), master bath, refinish all hardwood floors, new doors and windows and put addition on garage. Our remodel included removing a load bearing wall (no issues), moving water, electric and HVAC among other things. Our designer, Laura, worked with us through many iterations of the plan until finding the one that was perfect for our needs. We did not have any already made decisions on room design, materials, etc. when starting and Laura was able to guide us through and as importantly, keep us from making mistakes in the process to select what is now a beautiful remodel. The work was all done as described. Of course with any job of this size there were some small surprises, but that is to be expected and all were able to be worked through easily and quickly with B&K. The workmanship was professional, workers all respected that we were still living in a half gutted home, were polite and cleaned up all work areas each day. We would recommend B&K, especially to those looking to remodel with a full service company; from idea to design to demolish to rebuild/build the new space.

This was the first time I've done a major remodel, and after researching a number of different companies, I chose Bradford and Kent to remodel my master bedroom. My house is over 100 years old, which required the electrical, plumbing, and flooring to be moved. These guys are experts and the results were fantastic. Not only was all of the structural work top notch, but the quality of the cabinetry, tile, glass, and finishings are exceeded my expectations. A first class experience starting with the design, along with the work performed, as well as the detailed communication throughout the project. Shoutouts to Greg for an awesome design and Jake for managing the project effectively and efficiently.

We did a project with Bradford and Kent after seeing what an amazing exterior renovation they did for our neighbor. We had new Pella windows, a new front door with sidelights, Hardie Board siding, and a Timbertech deck installed. Chris was very helpful during the planning stages and Louie and Emily made sure the project ran smoothly. They worked quickly and procured materials despite the national shortage. Their crew work long, hard hours especially Conner their carpenter. Would definitely do another project with them.

Darci from Bradford and Kent designed our kitchen remodel. Darci was a pleasure to work with because she is friendly, upbeat and knowledgeable. It is obvious she takes pride in her work. We were impressed with her ability to listen to our wants and transform them into a stunning kitchen design. Darci even improved our vision while staying in budget. Each meeting with Darci was organized, well presented and focused. We felt that she wanted our kitchen to be as awesome as we did. Our positive experience with Bradford and Kent continued when we went into the construction phase. Louie was the one who orchestrated and oversaw the trades. He was sweet and funny. The trades all did a fantastic job. We were impressed that the owners visited the project too. We highly recommend Bradford and Kent.

We almost never write any review. But at this time we decided to warn any potential customers of B&K. Just finished small 11'x7' bathroom remodeling. When we started entire nightmare in January we were promised just about 4-5 weeks construction time. We were also promised B&K is not going to start demolition until all material will be in our garage. Nothing of that was true. Project last long 16 weeks! Ordered wrong glass for cabinet doors, entrance bathroom door order took 14 weeks and nobody from B&K knew what was going on. Project manager was so upset, that when he took from us cabinet doors with wrong glass, he didn't properly secured in on his truck and damaged door frames as well. B&K ordered those doors 3 times! Project manager was replaced and B&K continued with their incompetence, sloppiness and constant lying to us until very end of remodeling. Unforced errors in documentation, very unprofessional project management and even owners were not helpful and didn't want to take honest approach to customer. Just be careful if you looking for remodeling company....

We have been working on our kitchen project for months now- although brandy the designer did a good job- she bailed out at the end when we had some questions-she didn't return any of our texts and calls at all. Days later one of the owner contacted us to assist us with the questions we had. The cabinets came right at the time they promised but unfortunately were ordered incorrectly , therefore we had to wait another 3 weeks to received the right cabinets - It's been 4 months almost and our kitchen project isn't done yet. We are now only dealing with one of the owners and we are hoping we can finish our project sooner than later. Very disappointed for the amount of money we spent.

I used this company 10 years ago for a second floor addition and we were very happy with everything. They offer a 5 year warranty that can't be beat. We called them 1, 2, 3 years later just to fix minor things related to settling. We are in the process of using them again for a bathroom renovation and exterior work.

Description Of Work: Our first interaction was a complete kitchen remodel including all the floors on our first floor and creating a new room out of an extra hallway. This was about 3 months long. The most recent interaction was converting a room into an office. This was just over a week, plus time to wrap up. Up front details about B&K They do NOT allow any employees or sub-contractors smoke on premises, very nice! They were nearly always early, very punctual. We had such good luck with our first project we used them again. Both designers we worked with did a great job. When there are issues with any work they did, they come back out and fix it. If it is an emergency, they take care of it. They don't do the painting. But they recommended someone to do that, and that guy was awesome too. Project 1 During the kitchen remodel there were issues that popped up with at least 5-10 different things, but the supervisor from B&K always got everything resolved. Any large project will have issues but how those issues are handled are what make the difference between mediocre and great service. This project consisted of a slew of electrical work, ripping out and entire existing kitchen and flooring in 4 rooms, putting up walls where an extra hallway existed. Creating a new laundry room, new mudroom, new wood flooring, new appliances and a new staircase, uncarpeted to match the new wood floors. I want to focus on the new cabinets we put in the kitchen. The person they had working on installing the cabinets was meticulous. At first I was a little taken aback by the lack of progress with the cabinets getting installed, but after some substantial portions getting knocked out, my concerns were completely and utterly erased. I have never seen someone install cabinets so well and so perfect. I mean, PERFECT! This dude not only knew what he was doing, but at one point, he was explaining to my wife and I that it had been taking him a little longer than normal because of a couple locations for how they came together and he wanted to make sure there were exact or else we, and everyone would notice. He was so right. One major issue we had was with our new range. The stove top wasn't working. Clearly not a fault of B&K, but they got the manufacturer to get it fixed in a timely manner instead of me having to deal with it. As a matter of fact, I think our supervisor was more upset about the issue and resolution process with the manufacturer than I was. There was an issue having an improperly sized cabinet ordered and they took care of it swiftly. When the new counter tops came in with the wrong nosing, they solved it and rectified the issue. All in all, it took probably about 3 weeks extra time to completely wrap up the project because of the combined time delay from the issues. Again, to reiterate, how mistakes are handled is really the name of the game. No home project will ever go perfect. Having B&K do this project was excellent. About 1 year after this project was complete we had some grout cracking between the counter top and the tile on the wall, they came out, ripped out the old grout and regrouted. Project 2 The office project was fast. Demolition took just about a day. Electrical took about a day. The new flooring took less than a day. and the cabinets and desk got installed in about 2-3 days. After that the office was trimmed. The cabinet company shipped a door that was the wrong style, so we had to wait for a new door to show up, but in about 1 week the project was 90% done. The last 10% took about a month to finish, but mostly due to my own schedule and availability to be home to show what needed to be taken care and to let them in. The office was completely useable by the end of the 2nd week.

Bradford and Kent did a good job on the Hardy Board that they put on our house

We just finished our kitchen remodeling project and were very pleased with Bradford and Kent. Our previous kitchen was a dated, dark and closed kitchen. Thanks to Bradford and Kent, we now have an open, airy and bright space that we just love! The design process was productive (and fun) and the designers helped us through every step. Throughout the project, we received great customer service. The completed work is definitely of high quality. Bradford and Kent really cares about the finished product, are detail oriented, and they value making sure that everything is done right and to your liking! We highly recommend Bradford and Kent!

We've been doing business with B&K for years and immediately contracted with them to upgrade our house in Glen Ellyn. The remodels and additions have met our very high standards. Large projects are always going to have hiccups, but the B&K team was immediate and through in their responses. In fact, the job supervisor wanted to drive 100 miles on 4th of July to address a small issue we had mid-project. (We told him no). They were tireless in addressing all the details, and my teenagers and wife are very happy with the results. A big thanks to Joe and team.

my have hired this company for my over 1 million home project, and I have paid every thing, First, they delay the project by five months, and then they give me a long list of the items that need to be fixed, and since we moved until today already half year, still a lot things have never been fixed, such as my house fan does not work at winter time, but they told me they can not find the problem and let my self to find professional people to check it, and my west wall leaking water problem, my mast shower door can not open very well...... the worse problem is my front door blue stone step and back yard blue stone patio they all crack and falling parts over the winter, I can not use my front door until today, and I was worried people will getting hunts by front door falling blue stone step everyday, even my ankle was injured already by the back yard falling blue stone step and they never give me the answer when they will fix it, so many things still waiting to fix, they are really slow to fix the problem once you paid them. anyway all I want to say is: my nightmare is started since I hired this company. I am so regret that I hired them , they are totally not qualify for my project at all. as now I think we may need into a legal issue to resolve the all the problem, I do not know when my nightmare can be end!
