Best Restaurants in Oxford | Where to Eat on a Day Trip to Oxford - Eater London
"When Branca opened nearly two decades ago, this big, brash Jericho Italian restaurant had the feel and energy of something in Manhattan. Thanks to a big recent refurbishment, it’s now got a brilliant delicatessen and extra space in the bar, and the cooking’s grown more confident. Gnocchi and goat’s cheese and smoked haddock risotto are dependable standbys, and the pizzas have always been popular, especially the ‘half and half’ option that allows diners to create their own doughy behemoth." - Alexander Larman
Thank you so much we hired the private room for my daughter’s family hen party. The location, food, atmosphere and service was outstanding. The staff worked so hard and nothing was too much trouble five stars from us all. My sister in law said the pizza was the best she had ever had!

Overall it was a very good experience, the food is amazing, the attention was great and even so we had a misunderstanding with the reservation they resolved it quickly and we got a table. Was a lovely family dinner and hopefully we will come back again.

Great attentive service very warm and welcoming
The restaurant is full of vibes super vibrant full of energy
Location is also great a touch away from the busy centre which is full of character
Good value for money as per location and service
The disappointed part is the food. Great salad but poor pasta. Not quite to the Italian standard but the intension is clearly there. Just need to brush up a bit to get there.

The food was excellent. All for guests had a different thing from the menu and pretty much couldn't fault them apart from a minor thing here or there, but that's being picky. I have only given it three stars for atmosphere as it was quite cold and noisy. They were a bit cheeky adding a reasonably high percentage automatically for service charge and then asking us if we wanted to add a tip

Last Saturday I celebrated my birthday with about 30 family and friends, for a lunch. It was a surprise, to say the least. The restaurant went out of their way to make the occasion SO special. The food was delicious and the staff were attentive and great fun. A huge “thank you” to all the staff involved, you were terrific!

Went as a group and was at the underground room. This room was very stuffy and we didnt have enough staff coming to check on our needs. The starter gazpacho was nice but the lamb kebab was ok and the lemon tart was too sweet. I can imagine it will be different for smaller group menu but felt disappointed.
