Interesting little brewery, came because it was on the passport. Cute place. I bet people could enjoy relaxing here after work. I am enjoying the lager.

Google
This is my favorite brewery. The beer is consistently excellent, creative, and worth coming back for. For this reason, I am giving five stars. However, I do hope management takes a closer look at the customer service. While the beer shines, the bartenders often are a bit unfriendly. It’s disappointing when the experience doesn’t match the quality. With better engagement and warmth from the bartenders, this place would be flawless.

Google
Tried their sours, a stout and an IPA. All in, everything tasted like a session brew - not a lot of character or depth. Nothing was gross, but nothing was great. It was alright. Pricing was good. Environment is bright, playing good music at a good volume. All brews are served in a single style of glass. Service speed is okay, but not welcoming. Decor is rustic suburban - think sticks, bricks and rusty metal on melamine and blonde oak. They have a covered patio seating area as well. The stout is aptly named as it actually tastes like you are drinking a candle that is campfire scented. Sours are extremely effervescent. The Violet Perception and had a good hint of perfume on it. They indicate on their menu when they are out of something which I appreciate because not a lot of places to. They do not offer flights fyi. My recommendations are to work on countentance as it relates to customer service, have a sessions section to differentiate between low abv, low character smashers and deep dwellers, and credit the brewer(s) somewhere as I looked around and couldn't find any info.

Google
Some of the best beer in Dayton. We tried several of their beers and they were all really good. 5/5, A+, gold star etc. Would recommend.

Google
Branch and Bone was a pretty modern looking brewery with an interesting but bright style inside. Their bartenders were professional, and the beer was good. I tried two of theirs, and both were solid. I definitely want to try more of their beers in the future if I’m in town; it seemed like a cool place.

Google
A great little brewery right down the road from the Oregon district! Greeted by friendly bartenders this place specializes in sours but has some awesome IPAs as well! With an expanded covered outdoor seating area this place has a great small brewery vibe that really results in a personalized experience. Would certainly recommend, looking forward to trying their summer releases!

Google
Really impressed with their line up of beers. All were good, with a few great standouts! Can't wait to come back and check them out again. Update: still one of our absolute favorite places.

Google
We LOVE their beer!!! We come here to try new beers so we can buy them other places. That said, when I asked for samples I was met with annoyance. Even suggested I just try my husband’s beer. We are very beer versed and just wanted to try what we had not. There was no one in the brewery but us so it wasn’t a matter of being too busy. Good customer service goes a long way. My tip went down, but we will be back.

Yelp
Best beer made in the Miami Valley!!! Food trucks on weekends, patio available. Growlers etc, cans to go

Yelp
I love Branch and Bone beer! I was so excited today to finally try the brewery as I've had their beer many times at local restaurants but never actually at the brewery. What a cool spot! The service, beer and ambiance of the brewery were all perfect. Well done Branch & Bone! I absolutely recommend this little brewery!

Yelp
Stopped in to grab a few to go. It was early Saturday afternoon and they weren't very busy. Ordered a Growler and a 4 pack to go. Paid and headed to the my car parked down the street. Got to my car and found they gave me the wrong 4 pack. Had to to head back. Confirmed the what I thought when I was being waited on that the Server was not paying attention. Happy with the Beer but a notch down for the service.

Yelp
This was a day trip for myself, my husband, and our dog Ziggy. I was PLEASANTLY surprised that I THOROUGHLY enjoyed the beers that I had tasted (Moribund-Czech dark lager, Visage-Farmhouse Ale Saison, and Dignity&Toil-Vienna lager). We were able to bring food from outside and sit in their enclosed patio. I got to sample their Crumble-Extra Special Bitter (which despite the name had some sweetness to it, but not too much).

Yelp
We're almost "done" with our "Tour de Breweries" of the Dayton area (though are you ever REALLY done, as they seem to be popping up all over the region, which is GREAT!!!) and this was a fine addition to our ever-growing list!! Small, cozy, and had a nice, manageable crowd for a late Sunday afternoon/early evening. Not sure how crazy things might get on a busier weekend visit... It's pretty small and there's a tiny parking lot, but I'm sure there's street parking to be had. Bob enjoyed several of their IPA's, and I tried one of their surprisingly good sours. No food except chips, but looks like they have a good line-up of local food trucks. Try B&B if you're in the area. Great new addition to Dayton's growing list of "home-grown" breweries!!

Yelp
It is time to update this review. Unfortunately, things have gone down hill at Branch & Bone. To begin, it has become obsessed with IPAs. They dominate the menu far too often. If you don't like IPAs, you shouldn't go. Second, many of the non-IPA flavors taste too watery. Branch & Bone used to have wonderful body in its taste profiles. Now, there's just a lot of water and washout. Finally, the staff. It just isn't friendly anymore. It clearly favors its friends. Heaven forbid you have a question about a beer. You'd be lucky to escape without a sigh or rushed service. Very disappointing. Won't be going back.

Yelp
First visit drinking inside in a long time! Their beers are really the best in Dayton in my opinion and the variety they offer is broad enough, while also staying true to a unique style that is very fun as a guest. From our last visit, would recommend Cosmic Slop and 2021 Bourbon Barrel Feral Dawn. I prefer to drink sours and fruity IPA's and my husband prefers IPA's and Stouts/Porters. We always find multiple delicious beers to try at Brand & Bone. Please bring back half pours is my only request! It makes it so much easier to try more beers. It kills me that places have stopped offering them due to COVID when they definitely make more money charging over half the price for half the amount of beer. We are the silly patrons they definitely cater to so we drink less, but try more! All about socializing and enjoying our hobby, their craft!

Yelp
Very good! Excellent selection of sour beer. I was super impressed by their product quality here! Every thing we tried was refined and delicious. The space is nice and comfy and you can bring your own food in. The staff was nice to talk to and on their game. Will definitely be coming back next time I'm in Dayton :-)

Yelp
I flippin' love this place. It was such a great experience here. The place is beautiful, the staff was friendly, the pours were generous, the seating was comfortable, and the beers were delicious. If you come with a full tummy and are prepared to find parking, this place is amazing. PROS: -So. So. Much. Natural. Light. It looks gorgeous in here. All of the bright windows partnered with all of the plants make this place SO pretty. I loved being in here, and it was so comfortable. -The two restrooms are both unisex. One has a child changing station as well as complimentary feminine care items. Both were clean. Fantastic! -The beer was delicious too. We tried a sample of a bunch of different beers, and they ended up overpouring some. (Oh noooooo. More beer we need to drink!) All of the beers we had were delicious, and I found it interesting to choose to go a "Sour" route for the holiday season. I'd definitely come back to get more beers. The flavors they had were really unique - along with a wide variety of types for every different type of drinker. -Decent types of seating. They have regular tables with chairs, bar seats, and a couple tables that have movable-bench seating. Should accommodate most humans without too much issue unless you can't sit on hard surfaces. -Friendly and busy staff. They're very engaged with each other and customers and keeping the place looking nice. I really appreciated it! CONS: -No food. You can order some in, but there's not a whole lot of anything - snacks even. Just keep that in mind. -Parking lot is noticeably small. If you have a DD for your night, there's only about 8 spots in their dedicated parking lot. Street parking is where you'll end up being most of the time.

Yelp
I was headed to Dayton for a family activity and only had time to swing by 1 brewery while there. Branch & Bone came highly recommended so I made this my pick for the day. And I was thrilled with my experience. The space is small, clean and bright. The service was excellent. And the beer was really great. I was able to try small pours of 5 different beers and each was good to great. The most memorable was Dimmer (a coffee golden ale) and my favorite was Passion Fruit Salty Gose. Make sure to check ahead of time and see if they have a food truck available; if not consider bringing in some food. But either way; check this place out!

Yelp
Dayton truly has its first artisan brewery on Wayne Avenue in what was a former body shop on the Northern edge of the South Park neighborhood. I first heard about the brewery via an Instagram post so was excited to check out on a beautiful Saturday afternoon with good friends. We arrived around 2:30 in the afternoon and had the taproom to ourselves so we sat at the bar to get the scoop on the new brewery. They do not have an official flight of beers, I went with 5 art, 5oz pours as I love sampling a variety of beers from IPA's, Pale Ale, Gose to Berliner Weisse sour. All fresh and delightful on the palate. We found out they only opened their doors five weeks ago from the taproom manager. Started by 3 friends who home-brewed bringing their own unique artisan style Belgian inspired beers to the Dayton area. A passion for funky, sour, farmhouse-inspired beers drives their lineup of beers using ingredients they foraged themselves and many will be unique only one time ales. The manager did say they would eventually can beers & bottle sours. Stop by while you're in Dayton and enjoy the true artistry of Branch and Bone. I stopped in again this weekend, Branch and Bone truly is my new favorite brewery in Dayton - come in & try their beers so good!!!

Yelp
We stopped in to check this new place out and we are so glad we did. The space is small, but has a parking lot so that was nice. The interior is really just a welcoming, pleasant space to be in, the staff was great, and the beers were all really unique and delicious. The pea blossom ale is purple, slightly tart, and apparently going pretty fast, but the real standout for us was the Future Correlation made with spruce tips- it was DIVINE. And the logo is fantastic, so I ended up taking home a tank top I'm wearing as I type this. Also, the bathrooms are gender neutral and come provided with sanitary supplies for those who might need them. They do have a list of dates and food trucks where you can get food, though there was nothing there when we were in. Check this place out. It was really really delightful.

Yelp
A decent craft brewery. Only been operating this year and have developed an impressive range of beer styles for the unquenchable Dayton beer market. I enjoyed their mashup of Smales Pretzels and Beer fermentation arts - "Pretzel Queen". A Kvass style beer from the old country. A salty sour beer.

Yelp
This place is amazing. The inside is absolutely gorgeous, the beers are great, and the staff is top notch. I was very impressed with the pandemic set up that this place had - inside seating with plastic dividers between the tables, plus a spacious outdoor seating area. The staff was helpful in recommending great beers to try based on your style preference, and they made sure to keep things clean and sanitized very quickly.
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely the best beer in Dayton, possibly Ohio. Staff is friendly, atmosphere is awesome, everything is clean. I highly recommend this brewery to all. They are going places!!

Yelp
My girlfriend recently had an art show at Branch & Bone and the entire event and process were seamless. We went in a few days early to hang up her artwork and they really helped us out. Landon was very accommodating with helping us get more supplies and opening up his schedule when we realized we needed to come back later in the week to finish up. Then, at the event, it was great service and a fun environment. Even though they don't have food, you can order food to be delivered, and there is a pizza place just a couple blocks away. They also have a pretty good beer selection. Try the porter or Oktoberfest when you go in.

Daira R.

Yelp
Highly recommend! Cool vibe with really good beer. Was recently here with friends and had a good time. I enjoyed the multiple sour beer choices on the menu and I thought they all had really interesting flavor profiles. I liked that there was a selection of board games you could choose from, if your group was so inclined. I also loved the art on the walls. Very interesting stuff and I think from local artists. I'm just knocking a star off because I wish the snack selection was a little better. However, they do allow you to order food in so at least it makes up a little for the lack of varied treats to purchase on site. Overall I would gladly return.
google avatar

Jessica T.

Yelp
Very minimalist atmosphere, but the seating is comfortable and they have quite a few board games. We got a flight - they do big pours - 5oz! No food served, but they have a bunch of menus of places you can order from. I look forward to trying more of their beers, they are doing some interested stuff! We tried: Violet Perception (made with butterfly pea flowers, so it is purple!) Bend Beyond - Vanilla Milkshake IPA Monostatic #2 - IPA Elder Beast with Coffee - Stout The violet perception is beautiful! A bit too tart/sour for me, but if you are a sour beer person, this will be right up your alley! I was shocked at how much vanilla flavor was packed into the milkshake IPA. The elder beast was my favorite though. Can't go wrong with a coffee stout!

Yelp
My favorite brewery in Dayton and is changing my mind about the mid-west. Great beers from sours to IPAs. Taproom has a super great vibe. It has a smaller bar ~6 people and a few tables. Has exposed brick and high ceilings. It's super clean and bright inside. You can get anything as a five ounce pours in the same glass as full pours. I wish every brewery did this because it makes the beer taste better than in a sampler. Growlers only except for can releases. Only food was chips. Came on a Friday when opened and had a few people at bar but guess this get busy on weekends and nights.

Timothy N.

Yelp
This brewery is on the cutting edge always. The recent release of the Sauers are incredible. The staff is very friendly knowledgeable it makes you feel at home.
google avatar

Paula A.

Yelp
Wonderful beer, great service and atmosphere. We got a flight and every one of the beers were great. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Chad V.

Yelp
Worth going out of your way for. Excellent sour beer and new England IPA. And who's ever heard of a hot sour? By the way it was good too. Great service. Very small bar space. It's mostly a brewery space. Crowded and noisy because of its small nature. They had board games people could play. Very welcoming and warm atmosphere.
google avatar

Wendy R.

Yelp
Cute brewery In a cool building. They have sours on tap which I was excited about cause I've had a hard time finding them here; I enjoyed both! Go up to the bar to order (at least as far as I can tell). Staff was very friendly. I'll be back to try out some more brews! The bad, though it did not impact my experience: the inside is really cute. Cement floors, brick walls... but the furniture is so so ugly and unfitting for the room! Looks like cheap chintzy ikea stuff that someone threw in and I'm so sorry but it does NOT work at all. The furniture should be robust. Why not something like tabletops that look like keg tops for the standing table? Anything would be better than what is there now.
google avatar

Sean P.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this fine place after being disappointed at other breweries in Dayton. Finally some delicious sours, Pilsner craving warm weather, and a milk coffee stout that rivals some of the best. The bartenders were super helpful and had great recommendations based on what you're looking for. Passion fruit salty salute - damn tasty gose with enough tartness to make it interesting like a tart piece of fruit Dark fortress - Fn tasty and well balanced if you like coffee Red plum (Bweiss) - super balanced but not a standout after starting with the passion gose. I tried it again later and it was much better and gave me the plum flavor with a very well balanced tart profile. Anasazi? Hazy - unfortunately this brew was too bitter for my taste and not like the NE IPA or American IPAs out of CA Micro castle (Pilsner) - Balanced and yearning for a hot day. Damn drinkable with great grain flavor

Yelp
I've been meaning to come here for a while and I'm glad I finally did. This place is quaint and amazing! Super chill and laid back. The beer is a good variety so if you're not into ipa you still have something to choose from. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a relaxed atmosphere for an after work beer.

Brian P.

Yelp
Best up and coming brewery in Dayton. If they stay the course, they're going places. Imo.

Kelly E.

Yelp
I love this place. The craft beer is great. My personal favorite is the fruit sour. It is a tiny place but a great one to meet and have a few beers. They also have various games to play at the tables. I for aure would recommend!

Karin C.

Yelp
Great beer, great merch, adorable place and lovely atmosphere. We were from out of town and popped in on the way out. Will return!
google avatar

Sid L.

Yelp
Love love love. B&B raises the bar from above above-average to exquisite. As an IPA drinker I have tasted many and have really enjoyed reading the detailed descriptions of each offering. I have even ventured off the IPA path and enjoyed some of their less-sour sours. Enjoyed a 5 oz pour of the Tiki Torch a couple of nights ago- so delicious! The staff has been helpful and friendly on each visit. The only downside we have experienced has been the acoustics. It can get really loud inside when a big crowd gathers.
google avatar

Lauren C.

Yelp
This was our first time trying this brewery on a sunny weekend day. The location and outside patio were great. When you walk inside it is a very beautiful location that appears quite simple. Unfortunately the beer options were a little too different for our liking and most of them were very sour. We were hoping for food options as we were hungry and they only sell bagged potato chips. We tried the house made seltzer which was alright. This could be a neat location to bring people who want to try a very different or hipster brewery. We may try this brewery again when they rotate beers, although at this time it is not at the top of our list.
google avatar

Jan W.

Yelp
I tried the peach which was a bit more sour than warped wings. Cute small brewery. There were some kids in the corner in which seemed after hours. Some board games offered as well.
google avatar

Jon C.

Yelp
Most solid line up of beers I've had in many years of being a beer snob. Many IPAs on which was awesome. All the actual beers are unique and so smooth! I'll be coming to this place from now on when I'm in Dayton.

Corin B.

Yelp
These folks take great pride in what they do & it shows! The beer is delicious & the service is delightful. Food trucks occasionally come & they're supportive of you bringing or ordering food there. If you haven't been, you've GOT TO check it out!
google avatar

Kathleen K.

Yelp
Amazing little brewery in South Park. Fabulous attention to detail in the taproom, wonderfully diverse beer menu, and really attentive, kind staff. Food trucks on site for their grand opening. Reasonable prices, nice environment. Can't wait to come back.

Mark M.

Yelp
This place is great! Super unique with a ton of unique flavors and takes on ordinary beers. The bartenders are friendly and happy to serve. It has a great and modern atmosphere, turned over from a former auto repair shop. Amazing what they have done with the place! The only cons I had was that the parking is scarce and the bar area is a little small, but otherwise, it's well worth the visit!

Chuck G.

Yelp
Stopped in and these folks are brewing up some fine juicy IPAs as well as plenty of sours. Will be back for sure to try more!

Daniel G.

Yelp
Best beer in Dayton by far, and definitely top 10 in Ohio. Staff is awesome. Dayton needed this.

Lisa G.

Yelp
Wow! We were referred here from another brewery. Big mistake. HUGE!! ( day after Thanksgiving owner) Bar tender didn't even greet us. Acted like we were a total bother. Kept her hands in her jeans the whole time. Didn't even make eye contact. There were 2 people in here when we got here. Not busy at all. She literally sighed. I asked for water because I was the DD and she said "it's over by the wall". I'm sorry. You too busy to get me water?? Screw this place. If you're the owner I would hire better staff how about a smile. Or "hi have you been here before?" Or for that matter, a simple "hi". Never. Be. Back..

Jeremy L.

Yelp
One of my favorite new breweries. Great selection and wonderful atmosphere. Cosmic Slop is great and Monostatic is one of the better IPAs I've had!
google avatar

Lindsey B.

Yelp
Solid brewery with creative beer that is very, very well done. We've thoroughly enjoyed everything we have tried, including styles we generally don't order or enjoy. The space is small but clean and bright, with a cool minimalist vibe that I loved. The staff is my only reason for giving 4 rather than 5 stars. We have been three times and only received warm, welcoming service on one occasion. The other two times I felt like we were an annoyance to the servers, which makes no sense bc we are delightful and love craft beer. In all seriousness, the servers were cold and irritable. The last time we went we were told in no uncertain terms that they would not provide us with a taste of anything. This was a change from previous visits and certainly not what is customary at any other brewery or restaurant that we frequent. We were told that it is "giving away booze for free" and not legal -- all with a slightly suspicious attitude that suggested we were trying to screw then over. It was particularly irritating because we clearly planned to buy something and just wanted to be sure we got something that we liked. Despite loving the beer and wanting to support their growth, we are hesitant to return.
