If you're a tattoo artist that works on Ani DiFranco, then you are definitely going to BrandAni. Make sure you do good work, because she's a Righteous Babe.
What to get: A slice.
What else: Make sure you ask for it to be heated up.
The slice here set me back somewhere between 3 and 4 dollars. It was big, thick, doughy, and tasty, so I didn't mind the price. However I can't give it a 5-star rating because:
(a) Starlight didn't like it. She gets the final say on ratings.
(b) The service was really bad. Like, the kid had disdain for me or something. Or his job.
(c) I was kind of rushed even though I was the only person in the place.
(d) He didn't specify that if I got it "to go" it wouldn't be heated. The pizza was literally cold and congealed. I had to wait until I got back to Buffalo and heat it up myself.
(e) The pizza was really dry. Doughy, crusty, crispy, thick, I don't mind, but it was dry.
It was still the closest "4" to a 5-star pizza in town, because it did taste really good, but considering the above problems, I can't possibly give it more than a 4.
By the way Walter Pandiani was a soccer player, for Uruguay I think, years ago. If he was making the pizza, I think it would have scored a higher rating. As it is though, it was just a little too "American Bandstandy." If you know what I mean. Which I'm sure you do.
