Google
It’s mostly outdoor seating . So think if it’s too hot . The food was good and the tea was good . We went at 1pm on a Friday and it was busy . We got the sampler , very good choice.

Tracie Valle

Google
Stopped in today for the first time, and I have to say it did not disappoint. I ordered the smoking sampler had a little bit of everything. I also added the Texas Twinkie definitely will be returning if you’re looking for some good barbecue check them out.

David Gonzales

Google
This is my favorite BBQ place here in town. Food is always good! And the staff is always polite. Perfect example, must've been the owner who treated us to some burnt ends. After I said I liked the fatty brisket. From one welder to another, Thank you sir!!

Fabian Belgrave

Google
As someone who’s made the rounds at some of Texas’ most legendary BBQ spots—Franklin Barbecue and Terry Black’s among them—I can confidently say that Brantley Creek BBQ has taken the top spot on my list. What sets Brantley Creek apart is simple: the brisket and ribs are on another level. The brisket is everything you want it to be—smoke-kissed, perfectly rendered fat, and a bark that packs both flavor and texture. It’s tender without falling apart, and every bite has that deep, smoky richness that brisket lovers chase. Then there are the ribs. Meaty, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. They don’t fall off the bone (which any BBQ purist knows isn’t a sign of quality), but instead have the ideal bite and a bold, balanced rub that lets the smoke and pork shine through. If brisket and ribs are your benchmark, Brantley Creek BBQ is the real deal.

Google
Had the sliced brisket sandwich with green beans and mac and cheese. It was excellent! Would highly recommend this place. Fast service and an awesome outdoor atmosphere.

Tori Berryhill

Google
This gem was a suprise! Listed in Texas Monthly as an "up and coming" BBQ joint, so we had to check out! Kiddos (5 and 3) enjoyed the playscape, adults enjoyed being able to sit and enjoy yummy good. Surprise favorites were the Cucumber Salad, Macaroni and cheese and the housemade Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage. Brisket that day had a lovely bark, but was lacking some smokey depth that Texas love. Ribs were delicious! Only reason service is a 4 is because once you go through the line you don't see an employee. Dining area was clean - so we know they are around!

Darby Jackson

Google
Excellent BBQ spot that really caters to everyone! I highly recommend the brisket, smash-burgers, and banana pudding. The ribs and sausage are good, just second tier… I wouldn’t recommend their beans.

Google
Best barbecue, drinks, and service I’ve ever had. The owner really goes above and beyond to make the customers feel welcome and give them everything they need. We are not from here so it was a little nerve racking to try a new spot but we were shown nothing but hospitality and kindness.

Yelp
Brantley Creek Barbecue didn't come recommended--it came insisted upon. It wasn't, "You should check this place out," it was, "You're going there tonight." And thank God for that level of conviction, because this spot absolutely delivered. I ended up visiting more than once during my trip, not out of obligation, but out of pure craving. Their Texas Twinkies were in a league of their own--perfectly smoked, balanced in spice, and filled with flavor that hits you like a freight train of umami. Every dish I tried had a level of care and craftsmanship you don't find often. This wasn't just barbecue--it was barbecue done by people who love what they're doing. And yes, I tried all the cobblers. (No regrets. Don't judge.) Each one was distinct, warm, and clearly made with the same attention as the proteins coming out of the pit. What really struck me though--beyond the incredible food--was the environment. Families everywhere. Kids playing. Laughter in the air. It made me miss my own. Brantley Creek isn't just a restaurant, it's a gathering place, a little slice of wholesome Americana where the food just happens to be world-class. If I could copy and paste this place into my hometown, I would--with fingers crossed that it could hold on to the charm, heart, and flavor that make it so special

Yelp
I grew up with Cooper's Texas pit bbq as my definition of true bbq. But now everything has changed with Brantley Creek! And it's just down the street from my house instead of several hours away - which is a culinary relief but a financial concern because it's all we want to eat! Our favorites are the moist brisket, sausage, fries, jalapeño creamed corn, and brisket beans. Although, to be honest, there's not anything on the menu that's anything but heavenly! Including the variety of iced teas! The staff is super helpful if you have any questions or need something specific due to dietary needs as well. If you prefer the burnt ends or extremely lean, they will work hard to get it for you if they have it! But they run out fast so get there in time to get what you want! We have often had dinner at 3PM to make sure we get plenty as well as get food to-go! It's worth it! Despite the demand and crowd combined with open air concept, they keep all the tables, condiments, and drink station SPOTLESS! And there's never any food on the playground or corn hole. I don't know how they do it but I'll pay double if they can come clean my house after or at least show me their magic tricks!!!

Yelp
Bq, atmosphere, music and beer were GREAT..!!! Sides reminded me of school cafeteria food .....

Yelp
Great food. Everything was awesome Brisket. Jalapeno sausage, turkey and ribs all good Cream corn and beans unbelievable Peach cobbler excellent

William Robert T.

Yelp
The employees were amazing. Super friendly staff. However, the pork ribs I had were mediocre. And the brisket had very little flavor. I don't like to leave bad reviews about local places but this place was really disappointing. Especially after going there 3 times. The first time, the line was too long. Drove 30 minutes just to turn around and leave. Went back the next day EARLY, and even though a place I looked online said they were open on Sunday (must've been an old article because they referenced their old food truck), anyway they were closed. So another wasted 30 minute drive. Not a huge deal. But getting there on Saturday at 11 when they opened, we were already too late. The line was 50+ people deep. So we had to stand and wait for about 25 to 30 minutes. The place was very clean and very family friendly. Places to play for the little kids. Live music was great, even though he sang some off color song called The Bucking Song by Robert Earl Keen, talking about Mother bucker, and buck this and buck that. Just wasn't appropriate, but that's on the singer, not management. Lots of little kids around, so it was a little awkward. I REALLY wanted to love this place because I'm a big fan of locals making it big and being successful. But the taste and the value was just not there for me. There were 3 of us, 2 adults and a toddler who got grilled cheese, and the bill was $81.00 before tip.

Yelp
Bring your patience long line but well worth the wait. Food was excellent and plenty of it. You feel like you're eating at a family picnic in the backyard

Yelp
First taste of Texas BBQ, this place didn't disappoint! The location is open and welcoming with games, sports on the screens, and a playground for the kids. The staff was friendly. And the BBQ was delicious! I generally love bbq sauce, but this meat really doesn't need it with the tender smokiness the cook gives it. Yum!
google avatar

Yelp
Loved their lean brisket, turkey creamed corn which has a peppery kick and the cucumber salad. It gets really busy after 5pm but the line moves quickly!

Yelp
Brantley Creek BBQ, I finally get to give you a try! Being originally from Odessa, hearing about a really great BBQ spot had really put it on my radar. Upon arriving I will admit the restaurant is very hidden behind the car wash and Dollar General and has one way entrance off Faudree Road and exit only at Eastridge Road. The restaurant is very modern, enjoy that it has a playground for the kids and outdoor eating area my only downside is no indoor eating so if the weather is too hot or cold could be an inconvenience however plenty of seating available. The line was rather lengthy however kept in mind it was noon at lunch hour on a Friday. I do enjoy reading about their cover stories on Texas Monthly and also all the local businesses posted across the restaurant. You place the meat order in the first window, the second window is deserts and the last window is to pay and drinks. After paying, I got the 3 meat plate, succulent lean smoked brisket, Turkey and jalapeño sausage link packed a punch! The side got the Mac and cheese which was a bit dry and the banana pudding for the desert which was very delicious I do highly recommend! Overall, great laid back atmosphere especially when the weather is nice, full bar and outdoor play area for the kids and the meat quality is amazing! I highly recommend you give it a try for great bbq in the Odessa area!

Yelp
From the atmosphere to the food 10/10! Service was good and prices are cheap for it to be bbq!!

Yelp
The best BQ ever, hands down. Eat here you won't be disappointed. We had the banana pudding and it was the bomb diggitie. The Coleslaw was yummy too. Get here early the line starts before they open!
google avatar

Mia R.

Yelp
Smash burger was amazing! I had the cucumber salad, it was ok. Mac n cheese was also delicious.
google avatar

Rebecca P.

Yelp
Stood in line for 45 minutes before we realized that I would take another 45 minutes to get food after we're able to order. Too long of a wait. Also not handicap friendly for standing in line.
google avatar

Yelp
Went back a few months later in hopes that this time we would be able to actually try the bbq and went around 3:30pm and they told us again they didn't have bbq......this seems to be a trend when I am checking other comments. How are u a bbq place without consistently having bbq everyday on the days ur opened??? It should be Brantley creek burger and company instead. So disappointed.

Ron S.

Yelp
Have been there several times. Some of the best barbecue I have ever had. It's amazing. They cook somewhere between 60 and 80 briskets a day. All too perfection. It's like a well oiled machine that produces extremely good food and wonderful service. Great place to go

Nick D.

Yelp
Best BBQ in west Texas. Good service. Cool open area to sit and eat and kids area for them to play. Live music

Yelp
I never like leaving bad reviews but I have high expectations with BBQ, Houston where I'm from has some of the best. All though I didn't expect it to be that level what pissed me of the most was I paid 35.00 for chicken and turkey and the chicken quarters weren't big enough to please a field mouse let alone a grown man. The portions were very small and they meat was extremely dry. I'm now about to go elsewhere because I'm still in fact hungry... place is very nice and good environment but the portions need work and definitely need to upgrade the chicken to man size.

Yelp
Really disappointed in our experience and food. We live 20 minutes away so I checked their website and Facebook at 5pm to make sure they still had bbq and no where did it say they didn't. We get there at 5:25 and there's a sign that says no bbq after 4pm. They should have had it on their page because we wouldn't have drove if we'd known. And of course at 6pm they put on their FB no bbq and no live music. Well we are already there with two kids so we stay and order the smash burgers. Service was hit or miss with friendliness. As you can see from my picture my "bacon" cheeseburger had no bacon on it. They give you two packets of ketchup and there's no where else to get more so you have to try to flag down a runner or stand in the food line to ask for more. Also no where that had lids. Basically if you wanted something extra you had to ask for it. They should have a station with extras so people can help themselves when needed. Really disappointed but we do want to go back to try the bbq. Hopefully they will be more proactive in updating their information.

Yelp
The food was incredible. Brisket Taco Soup, Smoked Turkey and Jal Corn were just wow! The service and vibe of the joint was just great. If I lived here, this would be my local!
google avatar

Sheryl L.

Yelp
My husband cannot stop raving about this place. He loved the atmosphere and decor saying this is how he would want his BBQ backyard to look like. The brisket was cooked perfectly, and one of the best he has had. The line was long, but time whittled fast because they had live music playing and the line did move. the place was clean, and the servers came around frequently to check on us

Yelp
Facility is top of the line and very family friendly. TV, Corn Hole game & Live entertainment. Been voted best BBQ in The Permian 5 years in a row by the people. Friendly staff that strive to make your experience fantastic. They cook 45-50 briskets a day to try and keep up with the demand. Along with 60-80 racks of ribs 30-40 Turkey breast and 50-60 hole chickens. BBQ is from 11am-4pm. Smash Burgers from 4-8.

Cuthbert S.

Yelp
Great atmosphere. The food is phenomenal. As a backyard smoker lol i have to say these guys definitely know about bbq and I've eaten at the best bbq places all across Texas and I can honestly say we have one of the best bbq joints in Texas.
google avatar

Scottie M.

Yelp
Went here for lunch and it was good. The meat was seasoned well and did not need any sauce. The size portion was great and the ribs were the best part for me. I like a rib where it's tender but still holds on the bone. They did have a line but it moves pretty quickly. When I'm back in town I will stop by again.
google avatar

Tish B.

Yelp
Great BBQ! When they are out the smash burgers are very good! Saturdays they have incredible bread pudding! The banana pudding is very yummy too! A repeat for sure!!
google avatar

Jim D.

Yelp
The only BBQ i will eat here! All the staff is helpful and polite. They always go out of their way to take care of us. Great beer and liquor selection with a couple bartenders that are very good at what they do! To top it off, there are areas for kids to play, cornhole, and table games. There is always a good crowd that is very comfortable. I love heading going to Brantley Creek not only with friends but also with my kids!

Yelp
Needed a spot for lunch to work before heading to the airport. Absolutely loved the set-up. They've got a full menu and the food was delicious. Their customer service is great and they kept the tables clean.

Jeff T.

Yelp
Good story, great food! We stopped by here often, and we also had used their catering service for 25 people . Kylie was awesome and made sure we had everything we needed. It turned out to be a great experience for everyone..

Lauria M.

Yelp
I have been 3 times. BBQ is excellent customer service is great. When I am in Odessa I go get some awesome BBQ- I live in central Texas this place is outstanding. Sorry but this place beats all BBq places in central texas.

Richard H.

Yelp
I have had the pleasure to work with Brandon when he was just doing the food truck and a few caterings. Now that he has the brick and mortar up and running it hasn't disappointed either. We stopped by for lunch and ordered the two meat plate which had the turkey and brisket. Both were spot on as always and Brandon still stops by the table to say hello. Congrats Brandon on a job well done.

Paul H.

Yelp
Best brisket in the area!! Jalapeño corn is the bomb! Ribs are supper tender and cherry cobbler was on point. Live music was great.

Yelp
If there is one thing Texas is known for it for sure has to be their barbecue where to start with this place. The aesthetic is very pleasing. It gives the aesthetic of a backyard home type feel The service was amazing. The waitresses were very polite and efficient. And for the price, you can't beat it. Let me start by saying when I give reviews I give them honestly and without malicious intent I ordered. I ordered the smash burger with grilled onions, mac & cheese, jalapeño sausage, fries, and the famous Texas Twinkie. When I say this again, I honestly and wholeheartedly the Smashburger was a pretty good burger. Only things I can say about the Smashburger was that it may have been a little too greasy, but besides that it's all right the mac & cheese was not that great. The noodles were hard and it was kind of cold but it's not the worst. I've had the jalapeño sausage was not as I expected it to be. It was a little bit on the dryer end but still had some decent flavor and finally Twinkie Twinkie I would have to say was one of the best things I've had that was on my plate. You can never go wrong with a jalapeño popper, stuffed with cheese and brisket. The fountain drinks were the best fountain drinks that I've had in Midland overall I would give this place three stars if I could suggest things that needed to be worked on I would say better circulation and more space but besides that this place was amazing and definitely must visit
google avatar

Jack W.

Yelp
I'm sorry, but no! It's not that good. I paid $60+ for two small plates of cold food. The place was full of oil field trash workers that smell as crude as the conversation they were having. The barbeque bottel on the table requires rubber glove to touch, they are all just covered in yukky sticky somthing I hope is old BBQ sause. So.... No, not what I would call a good place. To bad, that's just the way it was on the day I went.
google avatar

Joseph G.

Yelp
Get here early! Only a 4 star because they were out of everything but smashburgers and desserts. Now those are both things I LOVE, but I came here hoping for ribs and brisket. Lots of staff and they were very helpful and apologetic both. Grabbed a burger and some banana pudding. Smash burger was very well done (2 smashed patties with cheese in the middle) and the veggies in it were nice and crisp. Home sliced fries were tasty and fried crispy. The pudding was nice and airy and stacked full of wafers and banana slices. I can feel my blood sugar spiking just thinking about it. Definitely recommend and will be back earlier next time.

Tony S.

Yelp
I've been on this earth for 63 years. Never have i found better brisket the Brantley Creek. I discovered BC a few years ago from the food truck. Been away for a coupke years and passed through Odessa today abd stop by the new restaurant. WOW! Amazing. Still the exact same. I compare all BBQ to BC which is one point. If you've never been you wont be disappointed. Best in class!

F.Bruno D.

Yelp
Been there 2 times, and both they have been put of BBQ. Had to wait in line and find out at the counter they were out of BBQ. Would have saved time and gone elsewhere. The place looks nice and their BBQ pits look capable of cooking up a large amount of BBQ. Hope that is true in the future.

Yelp
came here only on its third day of being open and arrived around 5, so still ironing out the kinks - they were out of everything besides burgers and fries. understandable! would think they're still gauging the demand and the employees were apologetic about it. so, we decided to get what they had, and DAMN it was a delicious burger. the sauce it comes with is amazing, have had something similar somewhere else, a light pink sauce, a little sweet and creamy. I like the setup and the ambiance of it, it's still super hot out so I bet it would be really nice to chill at in the fall/winter. it's a bit pricey but it's BBQ so that's expected. looking forward to coming back and updating this review when I'm able to try the BBQ and sides. we were also able to get the banana pudding (one of my favorite desserts) and it's easily one of the best I've ever had. update: came back last weekend right at 11 when they opened, still is wildly busy. stood in line for an hour which was killer in this heat we've been having, BUT there were a couple coolers around and a kid that would ask/pass out cold waters if you needed which was really nice - staff is still really friendly. was able to get some ribs and brisket with sides of macaroni and the jalapeño creamed corn. ribs are the best I've had in this area, they're just really flavorful and I like their sweet BBQ sauce they have on the tables. got the bread pudding (think they only serve this on Saturdays iirc) and D A M N. yummy. can't wait for the newly-opened-restaurant-craziness to ideally die down, would love to come back more often.

Honey M.

Yelp
We are from Austin and my brother took us there on Saturday. It was the 1st time for us. Very nice staff. The food is amazing. I am a bbq snob and the food did not disappoint. I got the sliced brisket sandwich. Wow the amount of meat you get. Great flavor. Will be back in area next month going to visit again

Izzy J.

Yelp
The service was great. As a mom of 5 I would just give 5 stars for the playground but the food itself gets 5 stars. The meats are simple and delicious. I love that. The potato salad was awesome. The Mac and cheese was a favorite. I think the jalapeño corn i was expecting spicy but it's not and the cobbler tastes more like a dump cake not really the crispy cobbler I'm used too but so good I don't care what you call it. Banana pudding was delicious.

Alejandra K.

Yelp
If you want the best bbq in West Texas, I'll say you got some winners here! Great people with overall great food, don't miss out you'll regret it !

Ray G.

Yelp
Barbecue was awesome. Have been there quite a few times and it never been let down on their service or the quality of the food. It's pretty cool place to.
google avatar

Emily L.

Yelp
Delicious food. Only downside was they ran out of bbq before we got there so the only options were smash burgers and sides. The burgers were great and the environment was fun! Great place for families or larger groups of people to go.

Terry B.

Yelp
Don't call them for catering not good service never called me back left two messages for someone to call me to do my catering for memorial service. No stars needed.

Byron W.

Yelp
Great BBQ, Texas style and try the Texas twinkle you won't regret it, A real texas treat, the Brisket is great the red beans also and prices are real reasonable

Ashley O.

Yelp
Brantley Creek BBQ is not only the best BBQ in the Permian Basin, but most likely one of the best in TX. Everything is top notch, the atmosphere is relaxing and inviting, the service is amazing. If you don't feel like BBQ there's other items to choose and it's great as well. You're missing out on a local gem if you haven't gone yet.

Marsha G.

Yelp
Excellent food and great atmosphere! I loved the flavor of everything! We will definitely be coming back and will make sure to get there early
google avatar

Steven G.

Yelp
Cool atmosphere but extremely high priced for what I was served. Portion was small and taste was average.
google avatar

Jeremy P.

Yelp
Had heard about how great this place was and had been planning a trip for a while to come check it out. Drove over an hour to get here, once we arrived they said they had no bbq! Cashier didn't explain anything just said "we have smash burger only" then stared at us. Think I was so disappointed coming to a bbq place with no bbq that I couldn't enjoy the experience. Looked nice and a cozy environment though. Maybe will plan a trip back when I can verify they have a full menu

Kim W.

Yelp
Great food, great service and family atmosphere. Very enjoyable time. Great playground for the kids. They have a nice bar also.
google avatar

Ann K.

Yelp
First and foremost, they don't have any barbecue after 4:00. All they had were smashburgers and fries. Even though the double cheese double patty burgers were a good idea, they really didn't hit the mark. The fries are the kind that you find in a roadside cafe. Kind of lamp and pre-cooked tasting. Overall the restaurant was a huge disappointment. The order itself was not right, and when I went up to get the condiments that were to have been included, they apologize profusely and gave me a serving of apple cobbler to make up for it. It's a nice gesture. And I will say the Apple cobbler was the best thing I ate there. We also had mayonnaisey mustard potato salad that I don't think had anything in it other than mayonnaise and mustard and potatoes, and coleslaw that was absolutely tasteless. The atmosphere was kind of fun if you like walking on gravel to your table indoors, And if you don't mind sitting at tables that were completely uneven and benches that or secured and would rock with you. They had a live entertainment which was a young lady, bless her heart, singing in the corner. And it was cold outside, but they did have the heat going which was a blessing. Two burgers fries and two sides with two drinks was almost $50. I'm sorry but fist size burgers even if they're double with those kinds of signs, really shouldn't be that expensive. I normally do not write blistering reviews. The atmosphere was kind of fun, the service was okay, but that was about highlight of the evening. They don't really have waitresses and you get everything yourself like your drink and your silverware of which there were only forks. I really do want to say something nice and give them a better rating, but I just can't. Try yourself before 4:00. Maybe they're barbecue is epic, but pass on the burgers and fries.
