"The signature dish at this casual Colombian spot in Irving Park is a juicy roast chicken marinaded in a blend of soy sauce, garlic, and citrus. But if that’s not enough to pique your interest—maybe a $9.95 price point will. At Brasa Roja, that gets you a massive quarter chicken plate that either comes with potatoes and an arepa or rice, beans, and salad. Not in the mood for chicken? Their skirt steak costs the same. "The dish that you'll see most people eating at this casual Colombian spot is their roast chicken. And it's for good reason—it's juicy and perfectly seasoned. But if the allure of delicious drumsticks and thighs isn't enough to draw you in, maybe a $9.95 price point will. At Brasa Roja, that gets you a massive quarter chicken plate that either comes with potatoes and an arepa or rice, beans, and salad. You'll often see a bunch of takeout orders going through the colorful space with fake roofing and painted clouds on the ceiling, but grab a table—you'll want their chicken fresh out of the kitchen." - John Ringor

The Whole grilled chicken was really flavourful as with the rice and beans, beef empanada. Wish I saw the grilled rabbit first but will definitely go bragh to try it.

First let me start by saying that as soon as you walk in here you are greeted with a smile. The staff makes you feel welcomed and present you to your table right away. Churrasco is what I chose from their delish menu. The price was perfect and the portion was pretty big as you can see on the pics below, medium well is what I chose. As an appetizer I had their chicharon empanadas and I have to say very tasty. They were crunchy on the outside and soft plus delish on the inside. I would totally recommend this place for a nice dinner at an affordable price with large portions of deliciousness...lol enjoy.

After a long walk we decided to have lunch and let me tell you that the food is fresh, the spices deliciously add so much flavor. Coming back real soon.

Plenty of delicious plates to choose from. If you are a meat lover than this is place is definitely for you. Friendly staff food doesn't take long to prepare. Try their empanadas. I shall return.

Our first time trying Colombian food. Pretty good, though the flavor wasn't really my speed. Great staff, huge portions, low prices. Since this was a new restaurant for us, I tried the beef combo platter. The fried plantain was my favorite part, but the beans and sausage were also pretty good, especially for breakfast the next morning.

We ordered some pastelillos.they were so hard. Over fried. My niece or chicharon con arepas and i Order shrimp with fries, which was also over fried. My niece asked for a take out tray, and the server practically shoved the foam plate on my nieces face when handling it to her. So rude. Never again! In reply to the manager. I know pastelillos are a Puerto Rican fritter, and Empanadas are Columbian fritter. The name Empanadas and Patelillos. Is the same to us Puerto Ricans. Now I have come to this restaurant numerous times with friends and family. Order them fritters before, and they were never overcooked. I took .my niece there because she wanted to try some Columbian food. I know that the fritters and shrimp have to be cooked at a certain temperature, but for it to be overcooked where the roof of your mouth and the side of your mouth are scratched is a bit much. Did I like the service given to us that day No! Did we enjoy the food No.

Not bad, not the greatest. I was surprised that the chicken was a little dry.
