Google
got our food super fast and the service was amazing such a welcoming staff. so cute and clean in there too! will definitely be back:)

Google
Horrible experience I had breakfast with my partner and we both ordered skillets, pancakes and French toast. While ordering our food we asked about getting a side of pancakes instead of toast with one meal, the waiter told us it would cost 2.99 extra. I also didn’t like my french toast and asked if he could remove it for me. He told me that he has no complaints about the food and said he would take it off. When we got the bill we were charged the full price for the pancakes and the French toast that I didn’t eat and he took back. He didn’t budge at all, he did not apologize. He forgot to bring our silverware and water to the table. I am out of $50 for this horrible service. Never coming back didn’t like his attitude he was rude from the beginning.

Google
The waitress had a wonderful smile took our drink orders quickly then our food order. The food didn't take too long and when it came it looked delicious. The meat in the skillet had a nice taste to it. The chicken waffles were nice and soft and tender.

Google
Huge plates of delectable food served with a smile. Can’t ask for more.

Google
I ordered crepes and got French toast. We'd already been waiting awhile, so I didn't send it back. It was decent but was not what was listed on the menu - it was white bread, not challah and it didn't have all the fruit the menu listed either. The strawberries tasted like they had been soaked in lemon juice and were very sour. The sausage patties were good. Also, the prices on my menu had been blacked out.

Google
I was looking for a good panini sandwich for breakfast, and I stumbled upon this place via Google search. I went to their diner, and as soon as I walked in, I was kindly greeted. The workers were friendly and hospitable. I ordered my food, and while waiting, I was engaged in small talk, which was nice. The pricing was wallet-friendly as well. I ordered the chicken panini with fries, and OH MY GOD. That sandwich was a delight to my tastebuds. I will definitely be back to do business there again.

Google
Very good food & great prices for the amount & quality of food. Asked for over-medium eggs, probably one of the only breakfast places that actually cooks them right! Waitress were attentive and polite. Only thing I would change would be the cup size for the orange juice because the large seems a bit small. Flavor kept it from being 4 stars!

Google
Lovely place, nice and quiet with a little bit of jazz in the backroom. And food DELICIOUS!! Came here for my first time with my husband, the server did forget my hashbrowns but she apologized, they are very sweet servers! Definitely comming back!

Victor M.

Yelp
I decided to check this place out since it was close to my Airbnb and had good online ratings. Unfortunately, the experience didn't quite live up to expectations. While the food was generally okay, the hashbrowns were a letdown--burnt, unseasoned, and even included chunks of whole potato. That was pretty underwhelming for a basic breakfast staple. The service was another issue. The food took forever to arrive, coffee refills were nonexistent, and when it came time to pay, no one came to process the bill for 15 minutes. I eventually had to go up to the counter. That's when I noticed our waitress was serving every table in the restaurant. Yikes! I'm not sure what was going on, but it seems like the place was severely understaffed. If that's the case, the owner needs to step in and help. If your team is shorthanded, you've got to get involved to support them and keep things running smoothly.

Khadijah H.

Yelp
Definitely a good diner to pop in for a bit to eat if you're in the neighborhood/ a local. I wouldn't say travel for their food. I'm not sure if they were understaffed when I went for breakfast but it was not ok. I think it took 15 minutes to get a glass of water and another 10 ish minutes to track down a server to take our order. Please keep in mind it's a small place and was slightly busy. When we were tended to, the lady was kind of sweet. At one point my partner's meal was wrong and when he spoke up about it, instead of them taking it back they decided to gossip about him, in front of his face, in Spanish. Little did they know he spoke and understood fluent Spanish. So he kindly joined in the conversation which shook them and they corrected his order and from there only spoke in English. The food itself is a 3/5 and that's with a ton of salt, pepper and hot sauce. I'd be open to giving this place another chance for lunch to see if it's better with sandwiches.

Jessica L.

Yelp
Visited Brasas on a Sunday afternoon around 1pm. It wasn't too busy with only two other parties in the restaurant; however, the service was extremely slow. It took about 40 minutes after ordering for us to get our food. When the food arrived, it was cold. I ordered the breakfast tacos, which was served on extremely dried out, chalky tortillas. Interestingly the menu had all of the prices whited out, so we did not know the price of the items until we received the check. The pricing is decent, but the food quality and service were very disappointing. Definitely will not be returning.

Kathy M.

Yelp
This place was very friendly and the food was good! Our server was very attentive and everyone enjoyed their choices. I had a breakfast burrito and thought it was fresh and very filling. I thought their salsa was a perfect compliment to the burrito. Those that ordered the fresh squeezed orange juice were especially pleased with their decision! We would not hesitate to return next time we are in town. It's a solid choice. Prices for breakfast were very reasonable.

Bianeli P.

Yelp
Terrible service, my dad and I were the ONLY people in the restaurant and the server was ignoring us as if we weren't there. Finally after waving her down she was very rude when I asked her about the menu. We both left. Not worth going.

Malcolm W.

Yelp
What an amazing dining experience. Wonderful wait staff and a chef that cook with love. I will definitely be back

Dylan R.

Yelp
Great service and the food was delicious. Staff was very nice. Highly suggest the chicken and waffles. Menu has so many breakfast and lunch options!

Nina E.

Yelp
Every time I'm in Chicago for work I stop in to eat breakfast in Cicero at Brasas. Staff is friendly, the area is safe and the food is delicious.

Paul P.

Yelp
Went around 1pm on a Saturday, wasn't crowded at all. We ordered stuffed French toast, meat lovers omlette, and the Florentine Benedict for me. It came with bacon. I would have preferred egg whites for my cholesterol but I guess that's not an option. In fact I would have paid extra for scrambled egg whites. Don't get me wrong I love runny yolks on my eggs Benedict but my doctor says I maybe love them too much. They were in fact perfectly made. The meat lovers omlette was amazing. My wife got the stuffed French toast, I didn't taste them but they looked great too. For the quality of food and not having to wait I'd say it's a great spot for breakfast food. We had no issues with service at all.

Dan B.

Yelp
Great food and staff. 6 picky eaters all loved their breakfast. Quick service. Would definitely come in again.

Barry B.

Yelp
An absolute hidden gem that we stumbled onto via Yelp, after sitting, soaking wet, (another story) in traffic from Chicago back to our hotel in Naperville. It's a small neighborhood place, sandwiched in with other businesses (maybe some residences). Without knowing it was there, or using navigation you might drive right by. Missing it if you are in the area would be your loss. It was about 1330 on a rainy Thursday and we were the only customers. Our server was really pleasant and our food came, fresh, hot and pretty quick. Perhaps they do an earlier lunch rush or are truly a breakfast place. I found it to be a cozy (it was nice and warm inside and we needed it), a bit romantic with the wood and rich latin color scheme. My wife got a Monte Cristo sandwich, with fries. I got a burger with guacamole and bacon. Every bite was just plain wonderful. The fries were hot and cooked perfectly, the sandwiches were well crafted. My guacamole was clearly hand made and they were generous with it. If we are ever in the area again, we are definitely coming back. From other reviews and search result I see that there is another Brasos a few doors down...I understand a need to differentiate the two businesses (even if same owners?) but "pancake house" for me, and just for me, isn't quite right for a place this sexy. When I hear pancake house I think fluorescent lights, cooks with regrets and parole appointments, servers held back by bad choices in men. I am not saying pancake houses are bad places, they are just a niche, that this solid little cafe, is not.

Yelp
One Saturday morning we decided to try this restaurant for breakfast. The reviews all sound good, with practically 5 stars all the way. It's easy to miss driving down on Roosevelt. We took a chance and now it will be one of our 'go-to' breakfast places. The staff (gentleman and a woman) were very Attentive, and the best part, the prices were very reasonable. 12oz "Fresh Squeezed" orange juice was probably the best fresh squeezed OJ I've ever had it at a breakfast restaurant. The price was $4! You can't even get a small lattè for that price price tag. I ordered the Mexican Skillet, SUPER Delicious! My son have the Belgium Waffle, side of bacon, hash browns and fresh squeezed OJ. The quality and taste profile was very good. We will definitely come back to 'our new breakfast spot.'

Dina D.

Yelp
Very good food and customer service. Definitely no complaints. But no pics either. I forgot. Server was on top of refills and even went as far as taking out the fruit that we didn't like in the fresh fruit medley!!! Poached eggs were small but cooked how they should be. Honestly, great little breakfast place! With a super clean bathroom!!! Even better!!!

Maite H.

Yelp
My husband and I were very impressed by this place. We had an appointment nearby and got hungry afterwards, we looked up places near where we were and this place had good ratings so we decided to stop in and try it out. The restaurant is clean, the staff is courteous and attentive, the food was delicious and a nice serving size. I ordered an omelette, the eggs were soft and fluffy, not dry or over cooked; my husband ordered the berry crepes and they were delicious. Definitely going back even if it's not near our home.

Jeannie L.

Yelp
Nice local alternative to IHOP. Standard breakfast and Cafe food. Oj is fresh squeezed. The menu is massive and the prices aren't listed. Overall decent.

Hanna C.

Yelp
Everything was amazing. We got the gypsy skillet add tomato and jalapeños, half order biscuits and gravy and the pancake big combo 1. Fresh quality ingredients. The biscuits and gravy were at the top of the list for favorite things we ate. The salsas were also homemade and delicious. Will definitely be coming back!

Jennifer Q.

Yelp
Really good. It was a snowy day in April -was not crowded. I had the green chilaquiles and my friend had the benedict. We were both really happy. Server, Maria, was great! Cute place! Will be my new go-to in the area.

Stacey H.

Yelp
Pleasant surprise! Plenty of options, good food, good atmosphere, nice staff & great prices. I was really happy the prices for the food was reasonable and actually lower than I was expecting. We ordered chicken & waffles, skirt steak w eggs & hashbrowns, and sides. The food tasted wonderful & I really liked the juicy flavor of the steak (which we got medium rare). I really liked my experience at this restaurant! The place is relatively new to the area, so I had not heard of it until looking up breakfast places nearby, but it is definitely worth checking out, even if it is in the suburbs. Locals should DEFINITELY try it if you enjoy breakfast/brunch food. I plan to come again!

Silvia C.

Yelp
We recently moved into North Berwyn and had my BFF over for a quick breakfast at home, we ordered for Brasas Pancake house and was very pleased from the beginning!! The please who answered my phone at restaurant was very friendly and polite, she gave me details of food, reviewed my options and order. My hubby went to pickup food and commented it was a nice place so we will have to dine in soon.... Food was very tasty and cooked as requested I recommend this place!!!

Alexander M.

Yelp
I took Wifey and our #3 to this little joint for the first time on a rainy Saturday. For an appetizer w got the biscuits and gravy plate and it was good. For the baby we ordered Mickey Mouse pancakes and she was thrilled with it. Wifey ordered the chipotle California panini and fries. The fries were thick cut and particularly delicious. For myself i ordered the chicken omlette. Everything all around was great and the price not unreasonable.

Bill C.

Yelp
Great service and food. Waiter made sure my order went in before a large party. Will definitely return

Roun N.

Yelp
This breakfast was super tasty and the portions were perfect. I was especially excited because they had turkey bacon and turkey sausage!! My husband ordered pumpkin pancakes and they were absolutely yummy and I loved that they topped the pancakes with a couple pieces of pumpkin. I was craving a biscuit after seeing them at an event I had gone to earlier in the day, but I didn't want chicken and biscuits. They were nice enough to let me switch out my toast for biscuits. They also, have morning specials from 6-10 a.m. I'm wishing I headed there this morning for the specials, but maybe I'll stop by before work. Thank you for a wonderful breakfast. We'll be back soon!

Leann P.

Yelp
I couldn't help but get crepes after seeing the pictures of all the delicious crepes on the Brasas Pancake House's Yelp page. I ordered the Fruit and Granola Crepe. It was beautiful, but left me slightly underwhelmed. I kept getting bites that tasted as if they had used the same pan as when they prepared something savory (with onions?). I think I would have enjoyed it a lot more if it didn't have that flavor. My husband went for the Top of the Morning Skillet and I definitely feel like it brought this rating from the 3 I probably would have given it based on my food alone. I think it would have gotten a five star rating on its own. Our daughter has a huge sweet tooth but we couldn't keep her out of her dad's skillet! We'd go back if in the area, but would all choose savory options next time.

Nyassa B.

Yelp
I have been looking at this place for a while, and we always get tacos from Brasas tacos, but I saw a review of Brasas Pancake House and made a note of definitely stopping in. We stopped in for a late breakfast and everything was simply delicious. I ordered a simple breakfast, eggs and oatmeal with fruit. It was perfect. My uncle ordered aeat lovers omelette and absolutely loved it. I highly recommend you come by and try it.

Pawel L.

Yelp
Great Staff!Great Food!Great Service!! Great Menu! Hiding (!?!) InCicero IL. Great for Breakfast ,Lunch & Brunch !! Fresh Clean Fast Tasty !‼ Nice Quality Quiet Place!... Nice Service!...Great Background Music!(smooth jazz). Great Experience!!! I find in Yelp! I will be back!! Try Brasas Specials! (staffed French Toes w/ice cream and fruits!!!6.95$)

Amy L.

Yelp
Terrible service. We arrived on a Sunday morning for brunch and the place was relatively empty. We ordered our food and had waited one hour and still havent received anything. Our server didn't come up to us at all to update us on the status of our food. We even overheard them say that our food is taking awhile. We ended up having to go up to them to let them know that we were leaving because the food is taking a ridiculously long time. They said "would you like for us to check on the food to see how much longer?" Wasn't that something you should've done 30mins ago! Don't waste your time coming here.

Tania F.

Yelp
Is an amazing family owned restaurant! The food is delicious, great portions, coffee is delicious and the service is good. The music was great! Overall my family had a great time. One important point for moms, I have a 8month old, and I was asked if the baby was going to eat anything they could prepare it! How cool is that!

Ax T.

Yelp
Unbelievably great food. perfect seasoning on everything, delicious salsa on the chilaquiles and breakfast tacos. A great blend of fresh, traditional, and clean presentation. I highly recommend this place!!

Xochilt C.

Yelp
Food and prices are okay. But not the most sanitary, children are walking on tables where food is served and customers eat and it seems the parents who are staff don't seem to care.

Orlando S.

Yelp
Im from out of town and was pleasantly surprised to find this hidden gem. Order quite a few lunch and breakfast items. Guacamole bacon burger was delicious, spiniach omelette was bomb, and chicken and waffles was tasty (a bit on dry side). Service was great. This restaurant offers a grear value on its food and is reasonably priced.

Ed. C.

Yelp
This place is amazing, I'm still eating lunch as I write this. The ambiance is lovely; cute , clean not too serious. Fireplace is comfy. Service was friendly. Food. Man. Ok. I enjoy brasas down the street for my fix of Mexican food or even for a burger. So I knew this next venture wouldn't disappoint and it didn't. I came for lunch, had the California panini. The portion size was huge, the veggies fresh and crisp, chicken juicy, bacon not over cooked. Fries were golden brown and crispy to the bite! Also ordered a cup of soup. Butternut squash was the soup of the day, definitely tasted home made, cake with a toasted mini bagel, had the slightest taste of spice on the back end, that I love all my soups to have. Very well balance. A very good meal. Can't wait to bring my mom in.

Christina B.

Yelp
Very disappointing experience here today. We waited 40 minutes for our food and we were one of 3 small groups (2-3 people) in the restaurant. The waitresses were slow and inattentive. Never had our waters refilled, and they were standing behind the counter eating with their fingers while drying dishes (uh, super gross). They were also constantly walking back to the kitchen and goofing off, we could hear them all laughing. Gross, unprofessional, not coming back.

Cynthia P.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem. I accidentally stopped by thinking I was at their other location a couple doors down. I stop by every so often. Banana Nutella crepes are good! Burgers are pretty good too! Definitely not what I was expecting.

Rita D.

Yelp
The staff at this restaurant is extremely polite and will get you everything you need. There is a variety of pancakes, waffles, crepes, omelet yes, and so much more. Each day, the chef prepares a soup of the day from scratch, which is extremely delicious ! Everything I've tried has its own tasty flavor. I never leave this restaurant unsatisfied

Mike K.

Yelp
I had to knock off a couple of stars because the service here isn't good. Service is very slow, and it was not a one time occurrence. I've had the Greek skillet, biscuits and gravy, King Kong pancakes, and Oreo pancakes over the past few times I've been here. The food is very good. Although the first time I came my biscuits and gravy were cold. Except to be here for a while if you come.

Becoming S.

Yelp
So we came on a Wednesday morning (group of two) with only one other person in here. I got the special of the day 1/2 French toast for $6. Although I will say it was only "okay" not sweet, barely any cinnamon - thankfully I got half because I didn't even finish them. My friend got the Mexican skillet and she liked it. But just based off how easy it is to make French toast I don't think I'll go back when I visit Chicago again.

Meghan G.

Yelp
We loved this place! What a happy find. My mom and I were looking for a lunch spot and chose this based on it being a creperie. The place is clean and had lively music. We were the only patrons and had super fast service. Some complimentary small pancakes were served to us. Delicious! I ordered the soup of the day which was BLT- so good! Never had soup like that before. We both ordered fruit crepes and they were great. Large portions, beautiful presentation. Overall I highly recommend it to you.

Dan C.

Yelp
I have been a rabid fan of the tortas that Brasas has been supplying me a couple of doors down. Always crowded for a reason. I heard they opened a breakfast place down the street. I was there the next day. It did not disappoint. Spot on. I'll now be a regular there.

Lali C.

Yelp
Husband and I came to try this new place. Oreo pancakes are fluffy and flavorful. The egg white croissant was so delicious, I wanted to order another one to go.

Jeremy D.

Yelp
Found this place during a random search for a breakfast place coming north from Midway airport. There's a flooded parking on the west side of the building, or street parking a few blocks away. The place was empty, save for one employee, so we found a seat quickly and got our meal almost as fast. Food was great, I had the skirt steak and eggs, my guest had a skillet. Everything was cooked as ordered. This place was bright enough and comfortable.

Faith C.

Yelp
Great food and great service! Would highly recommend! We order the chocolate pancakes, big slam 2 and skillet. All were delicious!

Amy G.

Yelp
What a bummer!!! Consistency is key Bad service from the kitchen...food took forever What happened in a month!

Theora H.

Yelp
My friend and I truly enjoyed the delicious breakfast as we celebrated her birthday Pancakes are her favorite and I'm glad she was very pleased. My Mexican skillet was very good as well. A friendly staff and atmosphere, we will come back and let our friends know a great place to eat.

Jose G.

Yelp
Great food, but horrible customer service. The waitress first question was are u looking for tacos? I know I'm Latino but I came here for the good reviews, and because I like to give places a shot. She never asked if we were ready for the check and actually got some food and started eating in the table next to us and started talking on her cellphone. I didn't wanted to disturb her so I went to the register and paid my bill with the first server that came over.

MJ.saucey L.

Yelp
The food was great! I ordered pancakes, sausage and hash browns. Will be back soon. Easy call in and ick up available too.

No M.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this breakfast place . It's cozy and service was great. It's a hidden gem. We really enjoyed our breakfast and the coffee was so good. We will definitely return . Oh and they have YUCATECO sauce yasss for the win!

John F.

Yelp
Great menu, excellent prices, good food, and friendly fast service. The restaurant has a nice relaxing atmosphere, and it's not so loud that you have trouble conversing with others at your table. I love, love, love the music they play. Best of all it's a neighborhood restaurant, within walking distance of my home. We'll be back regularly.

Stephanie M.

Yelp
Nice spot to get breakfast/brunch. Delicious Chicken Cesar Salad and their Oatmeal, egg, and fruit platter was also very good. They have a variety of items on the menu and had good coffee. Will definitely be coming back again.

Elizabeth E.

Yelp
This place is so good! It was recommended on a local Facebook group so I decided I had to try it and I've been a loyal customer ever since. They have every breakfast item imaginable and it is all such a reasonable price. Some of the best chocolate chip pancakes that I've ever had. Everyone should go here.
