Brasero Atlantico Georgetown

Exceptional from start to finish. Started at the bar with a couple exceptional cocktails from a great bartender. Our meal was delicious - make sure you get the Tortilla de Papa as a starter. We did the Taste of Argentina and all steaks were very good. Think the ribeye had the most flavor of the three! Atmosphere was phenomenal with the open wood fired grill.

We had a great experience at Brasero Atlantico in Georgetown, especially in the speakeasy area, which gave the night a really cool, hidden feel. It felt like discovering a secret spot — stylish, relaxed, and unique — with a true “welcome home” kind of vibe that made the evening special. Our waiter Camilo was excellent — attentive, friendly, and very helpful. He made sure everything went smoothly and we had everything we needed. Manager Maxi helped us with everything throughout the night and made sure we were taken care of from start to finish. His attention and professionalism really stood out and made the experience even better. Between the speakeasy atmosphere, the great service, and the attention to detail, Brasero Atlantico is definitely a place worth visiting. I would happily come back again.

The service is impeccable for a place looking to set itself apart in a busy Georgetown district. The steaks are fantastic, nice touch on the table side bread, and a number of interesting appetizer options to choose from. For a steakhouse, they did a great job catering to vegetarians and having enough vegetable options on the menu. The hostess is incredibly attentive. The servers are skilling up but for the most part excellent. Don't skip dessert.

My fiancee and I just celebrated our 8yr anniversary and engagement here and the staff helped make an already phenomenal night even better! A huge shout out to Dayana our lovely server and management! The restaurant has a lovely intimate atmosphere and is perfect for celebrating special nights! The specialty cocktails were phenomenal as was the "Taste of Argentina" a must get if you love steak! The restaurant transported us back to our memories of visiting Argentina a few years ago. I also highly recommend the epanadas. The desserts were full of fun and unique flavors. The bathrooms also is lovely with some sort of nice scent and an audio recording of canopy birds, which was a lovely surprise. We look forward to going back :)

The staff pulled all the stops to make our experience enjoyable and pleasant throughout. We had a Minecraft-inspired bread with squid ink, steak tartare, the Argentinian trifecta of steak accompanied by savory sauces. We were so full. Definitely a place we want to frequent. We will leave more room for dessert on the next visit.

Best mollejas (sweetbread) I’ve had here in the states and maybe even in Argentina. The provoleta and rib eye were also incredible! Open table made us a reservation for the wrong day (a Sunday, which they are closed) and the manager was super accommodating and got us seats for 2 at the bar since we had gone all the way to DC to celebrate my husband’s 40th birthday. There, we were served by Giancarlos who makes THEEEEE BEST espresso martinis I’ve had in quite a long time. He then brought us a beautiful birthday dessert and it was the icing on the cake (literally). Honestly, the food, the service, and the vibes were amazing. I cannot wait to go back.

This was definitely a great experience. The people that work there were well trained and professional. The food was cooked correctly. The presentation was amazing. Must make reservations. Definitely going back for more! Also, why are people eating the empanadas with a fork and knife???

This is a very solid new restaurant. They start you out with an exceptionally good squid ink bread that by itself is reason to come here. We tried a few of the apps (proveleta, beetroot salad, and artichokes). These were mostly ok but the real show stopped here is the meat. We had the ribeye and it was some of the best steak I had. Cooked just right a melts in your mouth. We had one pasta dish that was also good. They also have several Argentinian classics I’d love to try next time (empanadas, choripan, milanesa, etc.). The service was impeccable as was the ambiance. It is by no means cheap but overall prices are fairly reasonable - I’ve definitely had far inferior meals at comparable or higher prices. Highly recommend.

Had a great time here with a large group in the private room. The room itself is beautiful with a high ceiling, dark wooden walls, a large table and painted tree roots overhead. The volume and temp in the room were set perfectly. Food is great, Argentina beef that takes you straight back - the ribeye is a must try. There are several other Argentinian dishes and though the private room menu was set, I look forward to trying more options. Service was also great, friendly and prompt.

Fantastic! The steak was outstanding as was the fries. An excellent wine menu and a rustic decor make for a very pleasant meal. I would highly recommend. The prices while not cheap, this is a steak house in DC afterall, are definitely not as high as other steak houses.

I will say the cocktails were good. The food however was just disappointing all around and on top of that, it was also unnecessarily expensive and small portioned. $17 for a bowl of average fries!! The ribeye ordered medium came out close to well done and had no char or flame flavor (I thought this was an Argentinian open flame restaurant) The Milanese (thin brown slab of idk what they were trying), mushroom pasta (undercooked, no flavor), risotto (Mac and cheese), bolognese (not even) - nobody at our table enjoyed these dishes. The squid ink bread was a weird texture and flavorless. It was a nice space and idea but everything was poorly executed. Scrap the menu and start over.

I'm a big fan. I had wanted to go for several weeks and couldn't find a reservation. So I was delighted to check Sunday morning, and I found a lunch reservation. It turned out to be their first lunch! We were seated in view of the beautiful and huge ventilation system above their barbecue. For appetizers, we tried the king crab empanada, and the tortilla de papas with octopus. It was great to have an empanada done by a master to counteract all the mediocre ones one finds along the way. For mains we had the frog legs and the rovelline alla lucchese. The latter was a first for me, and it was truly a wonderful example of a milanesa, with a lovely tomato sauce on top. We sampled some of the Argentinian wines and cocktails, and were very happy to find some additional wines on sale at Florería Atlántica, and for that purchase we were given two free alfajores, which topped everything off nicely.

An amazing experience! Beef directly from Argentina, prepared perfectly, great appetizers, and warm, knowledgeable, and professional service. The "hidden" bar next door, accessed through a flower shop and down stairs, was packed and jumping! The entire staff, from waiters to managers, made us feel welcome and important!

This is a scam. A party of twelve was charged for bottles of wine that had been prepaid. Despite providing both receipts, management has refused to resolve this issue.
