Brasserie Astoria

The food at Astoria is impeccable and made to perfection. Everything we tried from the oysters and lobster to the meat and desserts was a pure enjoyment to eat. The food also had a great variety of flavors and textures that made the meal as a whole just perfect. The design and layout of the restaurant and the service was also lovely.

This dinner was amazing from the first dish to the last. I enjoyed my main meal of veal the most, but the tuna carpaccio still makes my mouth water whenever I think of it. If you are looking for a place to fine dine on gluten free food in Stockholm while sitting in an environment that only enhances your dining experience, this is the place! The interior was stunning, moody, and sultry. Our waiter accommodated our allergies and ran back and forth from the kitchen many times to inquire about what meals can be made gluten free and dairy free. I LOVED the combination of colors used throughout the restaurant, especially the velvet green couches and dim lighting. The menu and interior of the place is well crafted and one that I will recommend to others forever.

Good food, well executed. Some dishes not perfect as the seemingly popular Toast Astoria, we found the butter-fried bread way to fatty and not contributing much to the overall dish. Frikassé as well the Ofxilé which is beautifully prepared table-side was delicious. Unfortunately we went well past our allotted 1,5 h for the dining so we were unable to order desserts. Maybe next time.

Great meal, great presentation, great service. The filet cooked table side was an excellent presentation. The pizza with fish eggs was also notably excellent. Our whole team of 6 was happy. Do go!

Amazing ambiance and great service! The food was really delicious although it could appear to be quite a bit pricey. Will come back :)

My first visit, and had high expectations. The venue is fabulous and the service was great. My Bellini was delicious, and so was the wine. Now. The food. When I see duck on the menu, I HAVE TO order the duck. The duck itself was good, although maybe just slightly undercooked as I had to pull on the tendons. Nonetheless, the flavour is good. The sauce was also good. But if you had the side salad and/or the fries with the duck, the duck just disappeared. Couldn’t taste it at all. And the fries! They felt like “spiced up” frozen fries I buy at the store. Felt like no effort was put into them. In my mind I had expected something like home made wedges with a interesting spice. But my mind went to a student shack with grillkrydda on fries as a drunken snack. Side salad was good but very average and ordinary. For the amount you pay at this place, (and the name attached to it), I expected much more.

Ambiance Exquisite interior, with a lot of different settings of tables, everything from small two seating tables to Chambre Séparée. Service The service was really something extra, they really did over deliver. The food We tried a lot of different dishes and everything was superb. The only thing that didn’t live up to its name was the meat. It was sadly kind of dry and the fries served with it was cold. But all in all that didn’t matter so much due to everything else was so good.

Late review. Trendy, vibrant atmosphere, delish food, stiff but great service. Only thing I did not like was the high acidity of the pepper cream sauce that was paired with the tenderloin flambé. But other than that, you get exactly what you pay for.
