"Brasserie, the first restaurant from the new SoWa Dining Group, opens in the former space of Gaslight, bringing French fare back to this corner of SoWa. The restaurant offers a menu inspired by French brasseries, featuring seasonal ingredients, bistro touches, and a French wine list. Dishes include steak frites, bouillabaisses, escargot, and French twists on New England classics. The venue has 140 seats in the dining room, an 18-seat bar, and a soon-to-come 60-seat patio. Executive chef Scott Hebert presents a variety of cold and hot plates, seafood towers, and daily specials. The space combines vintage charm with updated features, aiming to be a neighborhood-friendly brasserie with fair pricing." - Nathan Tavares

I came here twice. The food was very good both times, but the server would forget about us. Multiple staff members would pass by the table and not even try to take the plates off the table or replenish water. I recommend the duck dish. It was very tender and savory. I was a little disappointed that they took the macaroons off the menu. Also, don't get the espresso martini, it's absolutely horrible, very sweet and not drinkable, had the impression that I was drinking bailey's straight up. They definitely need to work on that. The ambiance is nice, perfect for a date or just a meal with friends and family.

Brasserie is a romantic French restaurant in the heart of South End of Boston Sowa Design District. We celebrated our special occasion here and they made it memorable. The restaurant surprised us with champagne and all of the staff were wonderful. We ordered: Black Angus New York Strip (It was very juicy and tender.) Maine Lobster Croissant (Super delicious. Love the buttery mini croissants)

Delicious brunch and such a cute French Brasserie! I took my husband here for brunch on his birthday and it was fantastic. The service was so awesome, we felt like they already knew us. I ordered the Quiche Lorraine and my husband had the Steak & Eggs. I’m very picky about the consistency and texture of my quiche, this one was perfect and the mixed flavors of the Gruyère, Bacon, and Tomato makes this such a savory dish! Definitely recommend this place!

Brasserie is a lovely place with great ambiance. We came here with a group of vegetarians so the menu options were pretty much limited to gnocchi and side dishes/salads, but it was a delicious and pleasant time nonetheless. We ordered the endive and beet salad (very good), ricotta cavatelli (absolutely deliciously garlicky; wished we had ordered more of these), gnocchi Parisienne (just fine; not amazing), roasted cauliflower (just okay, quite heavy on the anchovies), and ratatouille (pretty good). Since we were also celebrating a birthday, they brought a complimentary waffle cone filled with chocolate and whipped cream, and we also ordered the butterscotch pot de creme (yum!). A nice place, albeit definitely on the pricey side.

Fantastic food and cocktails. Service was excellent and super welcoming. The Heirloom Tomato Salad was especially delicious with goat cheese in lieu of the usual mozzarella. The Lamb Shank was tasty although I would have preferred a little more of those yummy Moroccan spices. I'll definitely be back for more of the macaron ice cream sliders :-)

Always loved Gaslight and so happy they have opened as Brasserie. It was our anniversary and they couldn't have been nicer. We were served complimentary champagne upon being seated. The server was friendly and efficient. The manager(?) was attentive as well. I had the hamachi ribbons for a starter and rotisserie chicken for a main. I would recommend both, especially the chicken. My husband had the salade lyonnaise and the Lamb Shank. He enjoyed both. We were too full for dessert. We will be back, as always!

Just WHOAH. The BEST steamed mussels (muel frites) I’ve had, no joke. I’ve had steamed muscles a decent number of times around the US, mostly in SF, but wow this was so good and the portion was surprisingly worth the bang of your buck. Their onion soup was also great. I feel like this is very authentic French food, and decor vibes. Overall we would come back to try their other foods and enjoy the atmosphere!

Love this place. Ambiance, lovely. Food, delicious. Vibes, immaculate. Everyone who works there is great- so nice! Just an overall pleasant dining experience. Restaurant is spacious but still feels intimate. We tried a bunch of food & nothing was amiss. Croissant bread pudding!! Enough said.
