Our Best MICHELIN Guide Restaurants Near Paris’ Most Famous Attractions

"At Brasserie du Louvre, the Paul Bocuse legacy is evident in Lyonnaise classics with a modern twist; I savored indulgent treats such as a spiced pistachio sausage tucked inside a pillowy bun and garlicky snails swimming in parsley butter." - Caitlin Gunther

"Take a seat in the sleek, spacious dining hall framed by floor-to-ceiling windows and revel in the quintessential view over Paris: Comédie-Française, Conseil d’Etat, Louvre… The enticing menu cleverly slaloms between hearty victuals of unabashed Lyonnais parentage (hot pistachio sausage in a soft bread roll, pike quenelle and nantua sauce) and timeless brasserie staples (snails in garlic and parsley butter, sole meunière, etc.). The terrace beneath the arcades of this emblematic Haussmannian edifice is sheer bliss in fine weather." - Michelin Inspector

We were in the area by the museum and were tired and hungry and hot from 91F degree weather. This came up on the list and we walked over. At first we weren't sure the place was open because no one else was eating there. But we went in and asked and glad we did. The BEST French restaurant we tried. The decor, service, and food were impeccable. The place is air conditioned and they they brought us cold water and drinks. The service was also top notch. Probably the only French restaurant we received real service. My kids were asking why we didn't to there for every meal. The food was not only picture worthy but also impeccably prepared. The appetizers were amazing. The main meals, the best we had in Paris. We ordered the steak, risotto, and the veal. All were prepared with amazing finesse and taste. The deserts were also amazing. Table side crepes Suzette and creme brulee. I could go on but you get the idea. If we hadn't wandered in, not sure if my high expectations for French food would have been met during our Paris trip. Many thanks to the staff and chef at this restaurant.

Ok maybe it is a little touristy but the view of the Louvre is worth it!!! The outdoor patio is Amman amazing place to let an afternoon slip away while you embrace the French culture and simply enjoy life over a few glasses of wine or in my case a Paris Brest!🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷

Had a great evening trying out a variety of French dishes while on our trip to Paris - would definitely order the shrimp risotto and duck again! Our server Clement was wonderful and his wine recommendations were perfect. Also the table side Crepes Suzette’s were a memorable experience

Stayed in this Hotel du Louvre and enjoyed breakfast here. Very nice staff and ambiance. Decent buffet food. French toast is a must try - fluffy bread coated with crunchy caramelized crust. No need for extra syrup.

Google
A very easy place to just drop in for a traditional French meal which is very well cooked. Service is great with bilingual staff. We tried the Veal liver which was excellent, soft and tender which perfectly combined with the sauce that after a few bites the taste of liver that puts most people off disappeared and became very pleasant to eat.

Server was nice and attentive. We ordered a tomahawk steak but it’s too raw.

Google
Came across the restaurant when looking for dinner in Paris at the last minute. All the staff were excellent, especially Pauline who was our server and made sure that we were looked after and was very attentive. The food was excellent and the menu has a great variety of choices. We would definitely return when back in Paris

Google
We had a lovely early dinner here at the hotel restaurant. David was our server and he was very kind and attentive. Other staff were very nice too! (I believe their names are Theo and Victoria). We ordered onion soup, Lyonnaise salad and the steak. All were perfectly prepared and delicious. I was surprised but the portions are huge (even the salad and soup). The patio seats have a lovely view of the Louvre museum. I wanted to have desserts at the bar but unfortunately we were too full :)

Yelp
Service was excellent! First night dining in Paris and our server was super sweet. Loved the classic brasserie ambiance/lighting. My husband said this was one of his best meals in Paris. The soup was delicious and a meal in itself. Fries were very good. Burger was huge. Overall a great meal and would recommend. Loved the crème brûlée too.

Yelp
A "Paul Bocuse" brasserie inside Hyatt's Hotel du Louvre, La Brasserie du Louvre is nothing more than a good hotel restaurant. Chef Bocuse would not be pleased if he were alive today (he had sadly passed well before it opened), so they are simply using his name in what must be a licensing deal with his estate. Otherwise the food and service are mediocre.

Yelp
My group was extremely disappointed in our experience here. Very unprofessional and rude staff. Every other restaurant we visited in Paris was light years ahead of this place. Honestly the only bad thing about our trip here was this restaurant. The food does not make up for the terrible staff, either.

Yelp
We stopped in for a bite after we visited the Louvre. This was our 2nd day in Paris. We arrived just before noon and got a table right away before the lunch crowds. It's a lovely sophisticated restaurant with a warm atmosphere and the staff were friendly and professional and offered recommendations when we asked. We both had the onion soup which was the best we had. It was a big portion and very filling so after we settled on cappuccino and dessert! Both were amazing. We highly recommend.

Yelp
Our stay at the Hotel du Louvre also included breakfast at this adjoining brasserie, so we visited every morning. The wait staff was superb! Friendliest and most efficient you'll encounter. They're all at least bilingual and some are trilingual. Breakfast: On several days, we had Benoit helping us. He was charming and did not miss a beat. The buffet spread included scrambled eggs, sausages, American bacon, various deli cuts and smoke salmon, various pastries and croissants, fruit, yogurt, and several types of juices. The plates were below the counter (many people look around for them). Benoit recommended the French toast, and it was fantastic. It's not what we think of normally--rather, it's called pan perdu. It's a thick piece of bread that's dipped in a thin later of egg and then coated with caramelized sugar. I had that almost every day! The one day I didn't, I had an omelet made to order. It seemed that breakfast was only available for guests of the hotel. Dinner: It's only opened for supper (to hotel guests as well as the public) Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. They check the Heath Pass for dinner. We ate here one night, and it was fantastic. I'm a sucker for prix fixe menus for some reason, so I opted for that. Maybe it's because it's easy to do. One set started with smoke salmon Caesar salad, then moved to cod on a bed of julienned vegetables, and ended with three scoops of sorbet (raspberry, lemon, and mango). It was all very fresh and delicious. The second set was pumpkin soup, veal with polenta (which was fluffy and heavenly), and lemon meringue pie. Again, cooked to perfection and was the best meal during our trip. There were tons of other options on the menu we wished we had a chance to try. Oh well, next trip!

Yelp
Lovely experience here as the service was good and server was really nice that she could speak english well. A lot of new experience of food that i have never tried before so it was interesting. I would come back here again for some other of its food because they have lots of that i have never tried before in my life such as the veal liver. Cheers! Recommended from me!

Yelp
It was on my Paris hit list as the iconic Paul Bocuse is part of this restaurant. This is a decent restaurant surrounded by other decent restaurants. I had the foie gras with pear chutney, which was paired with Veuve Clicquot champagne. The chutney is an acquired taste. My main dish is pike fish in homendine sauce with Sancerre white wine. Both dishes were good with the wine pairing as bonus. Didn't have room for dessert.

Yelp
Lovely brasserie for breakfasts , lunch or dinner! The restaurant features many Paul Bocuse on the menu that were amazing! Some of the favorites such as the Lyonnaise salad, the calf liver, the local beef tartare, Viennese veal cutlet etc were all cooked well. The presentation and the prompt service showcase how it is a Bib Gourmet rated restaurant right across the quintessential view of the louvre and the Palais Royal.

Yelp
C'est très bien! We stopped here because of the Paul Bocuse connection and weren't disappointed! The French onion soup was so flavorful and the service was top notch. Will definitely eat here again on our next visit to Paris.

Yelp
We were staying at this hotel so ate breakfast here in the mornings which was plentiful and delicious. Service staff are well trained and excellent as well. We had dinner first night of arrival and found the food to be very good. Best item was the amazing ceviche we had in the bar next door (shared kitchen with brasserie) after we had our drink and ceviche, we moved over to the restaurant for dinner. Shared the escargot, foie gras terrine and steak tartar with salad and frites. All very good. Plus a house red which was fine to go with it. Service was great at dinner as well. Portions very generous, plenty of bread and olives to pick on while you wait.

Yelp
This place was an unexpected surprise. The restaurant is at the Hotel du Louvre. Service was excellent and had the best quenelle ever . Not to be missed.

Yelp
Fantastic breakfast and dinner at this restaurant. We are staying at the Hotel du Louvre and this is the restaurant in the hotel. We ate breakfast every morning at this restaurant and it was fantastic. The food quality is outstanding and the service is exceptional. Paul Bocuse was a Michelin 3 Star winner and was voted the best chef in France for a century. The food items are all from his recipe. Victor our waiter at dinner was exceptional with his service and the restaurant is lucky to have him has a server. This a must place to eat in Paris!

Yelp
Bad service. Messed our order up and clearly tried to take advantage of us because we were tourist. It's Too bad the place is really nice inside and in a great location. Food was crap too!
