"A longtime Wilmington/Wrightsville Beach staple, Brasserie debuted new chef Ryan Michaels this past Bastille Day. Michaels has breathed new life into the food at Brasserie, keeping classics like steak frites and the quiche du jour, while also adding his own twist to the menu. The pan-roasted Scottish salmon with a honey vinaigrette, crispy Brussels sprouts, golden raisins, and creme fraiche is exceptional, and the escargot starter has been returned to its much-loved, garlicky French roots." - Matt Lardie

Upscale eateries located near Landfall among high end shopping lies a popular European style restaurant, menu and atmosphere; For lunch, our friends shared a charcuterie assortment and drinks, then salads with options to add 10 items per plate, an elite hostess who set this 5 star experience. You can choose indoor or outdoor seating, both for enjoyable dining; everyone raves about the delectable onion soup; I had the tasty fish and for the finale, our group shared 3 of the rich and decadent mini desserts. All our table guests were highly impressed with the food and service; An enjoyable dining experience near Wrightsville Beach.

Google
We love this place! They have amazing food and the service is spectacular (ask for Robb). Last night the soup du jour was a melon and mint gazpacho (oh...my..goodness) and the special was an amazing pan-seared mahi. So good!

We chose Brasserie du Soleil to celebrate my 74th BDay and had never been here but saw that they served Charred Octopus and Escargot. When the server said we are sorry but we don’t have either of those we explained had we known that we would not have visit them for dinner! The server, Spencer, handled our situation very diplomatically and suggested an alternative Appetizer, Mussels ALA Mariniere including Shallots, Butter, White Wine and Parsley. The dish was wonderful, so we moved on with our dinners. My wife ordered the Boeuf Bourguignon, (Braised Short Ribs) and ordered the Duck Confit with Chantrelle Mushrooms, Swiss Chard, Roasted Fennel and Blueberry Gastrique. Both dinners were excellent and the Creme Broulee topped off our night perfectly. We decided we would come again but only if they have the 2 appetizers we really wanted.

Google
My San Diego transplant buddy, Mark, found this little, semi-upscale gem in the now-burgeoning Wilmington, NC area that had delicious, well-made, classic French cuisine that wasn't overpowering with BBQ and tons of Meat (which I crave now & then!) that one so often finds when one travels down South. Grilled Octopus, Escargot, lightly-fried Calamari, assiette de Fromage and crusty, yet tender Baguette started us off with a lovely presentation of Blackened Scallops (Bay & Sea)

Google
#littlemissblackberry loved the plateau des fromages and I thought the avocado tartine was delicious. The staff was friendly and offered fantastic service. The GM, Shelley, was also wonderful with helping me reserve an upcoming luncheon for 20 guests.

Google
We didn't have a reservation so we sat at the bar. It was lovely and the bartenders were very attentive. We had 2 appetizers, the beef carpaccio and the scallops. For the main course we had the Veal medallions and escargot. Everything was delicious. The beef carpaccio was so tender and the capers and light sauce were just perfect with it. The veal was cooked wonderfully and smartly paired with the polenta. We also had a mini creme brulee and it was outstanding. We have never been disappointed here. Terrific staff with amazing French food as well. We will definitely keep coming back!

Google
Favorite go to restaurant in Wilmington. Highly recommend and definitely one of the best. Mussels are great You won't find a better French onion soup. I've loved all entrees I've ordered here and you wont find a better build your own salad. The coconut tart is also a favorite for dessert and the portofina"s are also delicious

Yelp
Made my reservation via Resy 3 days before. If the weather is nice please enjoy their outdoor patio with an amazing view. Our server was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. We started off with their mussels and half-dozen oyster special with featured a variety from different regions of the U.S. All of them were fantastic. The sauce they provide with the oysters is a must. AMAZING. Their white wine in the mussels was perfect. We ordered two cocktails of the Dragon Rogue. The selection of cocktails was so unique. For the main course my girlfriend had a fantastic order of goat cheese gnocchi and I had their duck confit. It was the best duck I have ever had. We finished it off with some espresso martinis and crème brulée. Should be noted there is a 3.5% credit card fee.

Yelp
I have lived here all my life and never tried this restaurant. Wow. Just wow. We arrived right when they opened and while it wasn't completely busy, there were more than a few tables already seated and several at the bar. It was a relaxed atmosphere and we were able to have a good conversation but by the time we left, the restaurant was filling up and it was getting a little loud. They did try to space out the customers. We started with the oysters & the Gallette de crab which were wonderful. I also tried the French Onion soup and it did not disappoint. Our main courses were seared scallops, flounder, rigatoni bolognese & Croque Monsieur. All very good and more than enough to share and take home leftovers. The highlight of our dining experience was our server Virginia. She was phenomenal. She was very knowledgeable about the specials and we really depended on her to make a lot of recommendations. She didn't steer us wrong. She was attentive, charming, familiar with the menu & one of the best servers I've had in a long time. I will definitely go back. I saw several dishes that other diners ordered that looked mouthwatering. What are you waiting for? Go in with an open mind and eat a great meal. Maybe you will get lucky and get Virginia.

Yelp
We are back in Wilmington to visit our daughter and explore all of the local restaurants. We decided to try Brasserie du Soleil for lunch. We started with cocktails of course! The Dragon Rose (sp?) was fabulous! I love tequila and grapefruit and this would be my go to cocktail for sure when coming back!! I ordered the onion soup as my lunch and hubby had the Croque Monsieur. We even sat outside and didn't let Hurricane Debbie hold us back!! We will certainly be back to try dinner next.

Connie R.

Yelp
Great food & atmosphere!!! We had the French onion soup (because why would we not) & it was fantastic as always!! Even the ceasar salad was delicious!!!

Maria R.

Yelp
If you are in the Wrightsville beach area don't miss out! Amazing French food! Love the atmosphere the outside patio is lovely and Robb our waiter was a fabulous. Highly recommend this place!

Bruce B.

Yelp
It was our first time here and my wife and I were very impressed! The food was great and the service even better. I had the Tuna Tartare, Ceasar Salad with anchovies and the Duck Confit. My wife had the Escargot, Onion Soup and Flounder . Everything was perfect and then we shared the Coconut Tart for dessert.

Emily J.

Yelp
Several friends and I decided to have dinner here during the Wilmington Restaurant week- what a wonderful experience! Definitely have a reservation because it is very busy. We ordered appetizers, entrees, and dessert along with several drinks. Everything tasted fantastic and the ambiance was inviting. It can get loud inside so I definitely want to visit again when the weather is better and eat outside.

Yelp
Food was excellent. Great sauces, accompaniments and the like. And because yelp requires more info, I'll redirect you to the first two lines.

Yelp
I came here for a late lunch with my mom on a Saturday afternoon. I needed some caffeine so I started with an espresso martini (plus a little half & half). My mom decided to build her own "Brasserie salad." You can choose up to 10 add-ons (some with an extra charge) and there are plenty of choices. The only bummer was they ran out of tuna so she couldn't have "seared tuna" for her salad. Apparently a popular item! Her salad was huge. Definitely can split between two people. For my lunch I had the steak pommes frites which features hanger steak. I love my steaks "rare" and the restaurant was spot-on with the temperature of my steak. It was delicious! I love my desserts and the mini-sized desserts were a perfect ending for a great meal. My mom had key lime pie and I chose the chocolate peanut butter pie. I'm definitely coming back for dinner. There is also a large patio for outoor dining for happy hour cocktails.

Yelp
Was in town for short vacation with my wife and daughter. Ate here on a Friday night . Cool French Bistro Vibe. Place was very loud. Service was ok and meal overall was pretty good. One surprise was the cost of the raw oysters. I have been to many seafood and raw bar places but NEVER have I paid more than $40-$45 for a dozen oysters. This place charged almost $60 which was a bit of sticker shock. Would return.

J L.

Yelp
Ok more American food than a french cuisine. Kind of disappointed for the quality of food considering the prices of a french restaurant were definitely charged

Maddie R.

Yelp
I had a reservation for two and we were told that we needed to wait for a table outside which was fine. Upon being seated, the server did not visit us for a bit. After we ordered it took over an hour for our food arrive and were told that it was very busy but there were many empty tables around us. The server did not check on us until it was time for the check so we could not order more drinks or food in time. The food was amazing but overall the experience was not stellar.

Tara G.

Yelp
Overall a nice place in Wilmington. Service was fine. A bit pricy for the offering, but I guess it's the same as any other restaurant today in Wilmington. Thank you.

Zoe S.

Yelp
We came here just for dessert, because we've been craving g crème brûlée. This place looked beautiful inside and super cute outside. They seemed pretty busy, but were able to seat us outside. It looked like a very nice place for a nice romantic dinner. I can't wait to try it for dinner on my next visit to Wilmington. Crème brûlée was good, light and crème and pb chocolate mouse was hood but a bit too sweet for my liking. I'd definitely recommend this place for a special occasion

Monica M.

Yelp
Honestly, this place was fantastic in every way. Celebrated our anniversary here and we were nothing short of content. Escargot - texture and a creamy parsley sauce was divine. Also served with a flaky phyllo like biscuit which held the sauce and the snail amongst each other. Taste was immaculate. Charred octopus - excellent texture with perfect pairings of potato and crispy chick peas with sliced Fresno pepper and creme sauce. Absolutely loved this. Beef carpaccio - perfectly thin sliced with beautiful presentation. Crispy baguette pieces complimented the arugula and other toppings so well. Vodka dirty martini - Chopin vodka, lightly dirty with bleu cheese olives, mixed to perfection. Entrees we're both delicious and prepared to our likings. Our server Brittany was very helpful and kind. Overall wonderful experience! Will definitely return !

Nino R.

Yelp
What an amazing experience. The service was top tier. Our server was attentive and engaging. He made great recommendations and was entertaining. The ambiance was comfortable and felt like a brighter version of Les Halles. Mussels (Provencal) there's several preparations to choose from. This would be the least decadent, but still very flavorful. It's all about the broth. Oysters (Half Shell) is a rotating stock. If you're not a frequent diner then you'll always have a new experience. Onion Soup Gratinee is a staple soup in French cuisine and should be ordered any time and all the time. This offering was quite good. BOEUF BOURGUIGNON was a delight. All ingredients were served over whipped potatoes. The braised short rib was very tender and the accompanying vegetables were cooked to protection. SEAFOOD CASSOULET unfortunately this fell a little flat. Flavor profile was there but the beans were not cooked long enough. If you've never had a tender legume, then think of edamame. While this may be fun for some, a traditional cassoulet should have beans that can be eaten without chewing. Very surprised to have such an experience in Wilmington. Looking to replicate soon. Tres good...

Yelp
Came here fornmy birthday an got sooo many amazing different things!! The highlights where the steak au poivre, oysters, french onion soup, and the mini desserts. Skip the caesar. Our service was spectacular. Ambience is more laid back than I had imagined- lots of people in casual attire while I was dressed to the nines for my birthday. Will be back for sure!

Lynn B.

Yelp
I went alone on a Saturday night. The bar is small so pleased I arrived before the evening rush and found a seat. Bartender was friendly. Good martini and she offered a nice French wine. I ordered basic green salad. It was overly dressed and next time I would ask for it lite on the dressing and if I forget I will speak up - I was hungry. For my entree I ordered the scallops and they were just what I wanted, delicious. I liked the creamed corn they came yet found the little "Parisian gnocchi" tasty, but a bit of an odd texture combination with the scallops. No dessert for me. I look forward to going back.

Yelp
First time at the Brasserie... wow, yes I said WOW. Loved the environment, the people, the cocktails, the food and the service. Everything was FABULOUS. Let's talk about the food, we started with some Escargot, Charred Octopus and Croquettes, Mmmm they were absolutely delicious. For entree, we ordered Seared Scallops, the Curvina Chef Special, speechless... Soooo Good! Rob was our server, very friendly, he know exactly what you want, very detailed, top notch service!!! We started with wine and finished with the best espresso martinis we ever had. The place could be a little loud, since the ceiling was not too high, so people talked a little bit louder, but who cares, the place is fantastic. Great location, good parking lot!!!

Yelp
We walked in and were immediately charmed. Although the building appears to be just another strip mall building, the interior is meticulously decorated with old world charm, and as we were seated against the back windows, we looked out to see a covered patio, with bistro tables and lush plants. The patio just looked cozy, and probably 20 degrees cooler than the asphalt parking lot. We were promptly greeted and brought to our table. Our waiter soon arrived with bread service, and quickly followed with our bottle of wine. We were excited for the meal that should soon follow. Unfortunately, it was the food which caused this lovely evening to unravel. I will go through our order. Starters: Calamari and a bowl of Onion soup gratinée. The calamari was fine, crisp coating and well seasoned remoulade. The soup was terrible. Anyone familiar with French onion soup would expect a deep, rich homemade beef broth, full of sweet darkly caramelized onions. This soup was overall beige. Although it tasted as though fresh herbs had been added, the broth was thin and the most unfortunate part were the onions, which were slivers of still white onions. They appeared to have been boiled in the broth rather than being lovely, caramelized and sweet. Shortcuts which made he soup overall bland and lifeless. Entrees: I initially ordered the pork (but they didn't have it), so went with Boeuf Bourguignon and Seafood Cassoulet...both classic, slow cooked French dishes which should be rich and layered with flavors. The cassoulet was a disaster. The beans were undercooked and desperately in need of salt and other seasoning. Bland as if straight out of a can. But it was looking at the shellfish that made us send it back to the kitchen uneaten, and taken off our check. The in-shell mussels and clams were placed on top of the cassoulet, but had clearly not been steamed to order (or sat under a heat lamp far too long). The shellfish meat was dry to the touch..just no moisture left. I'm not eating old dry seafood The boeuf bourguignon , which we ended up splitting simply because we were hungry, suffered from the same lack of slow cooked flavor. The bacon was sprinkled on top vs cooked in, and again, the broth was thin and under seasoned. The thinness of the broth just ended up mixing with the whipped potatoes into an unappealing paste. Total lack of visible carrots, and sparse amount of beef. We had really hoped for better, based on previous recommendations. The server really did his best, so no hard feelings there.

Melissa G.

Yelp
The place is larger than it looks and they have a beautiful outdoor patio that looks over the courtyard. We went for lunch so we only saw their lunch menu and there were plenty to choose from. You can make your own salad from a plethora of choices! Each item is priced separately so it could be an expensive salad. I ordered the crepe which has spinach, mushrooms, and something else but it was just okay. The sauce around it had zero taste. My husband's lunch, ham and cheese grilled on bread, was much better than mine. Service was good.

Nicole S.

Yelp
One of my favorite places in Wilmington! The dinner is better in my opinion when it comes to the menu but the lunch does have some of the staples like the onion soup and mussels which are well worth getting. When you walk in, you feel like you are in a French Bistro. The food is pretty spot on also. I have always been a fan of their Steak and Frites and their BOEUF BOURGUIGNON. Additionally the desserts are mini and are perfect if you want to try a few!

Rebecca A.

Yelp
Incredible food and service! Be sure to try to filet and French onion soup one of the best restaurants in town!

Eva S.

Yelp
We start with blue points oysters, very fresh and sweet , little too pricey, French onion soup is phenomenal, Salmon dish is average sauce is little too sour, scallop is my favorite,Brasserie Burgers are delicious My son had rigatoni Bolognese (pasta), finish it all so I'm assuming that is great also! It's birthday dinner , we ordered crème brûlée and vanilla ice cream as dessert, they are on the house ! Server Bailey is very professional, manager is very nice, we ordered seafood casserole , shrimp is undercooked, she replaced it for us ! Overall 4.5 stars!

Aimee N.

Yelp
I had a beautiful, romantic dinner tonight inside. The food was outstanding. Tonight I had the beef carpaccio which was the best that I have had in town (Circa with a close second). The Tito's dirty martini was delicious, and the oysters were 3 different kinds. My date has the filet which was amazing for not being at a steak restaurant. I love the service, Bread and atmosphere like usual.

Brooke H.

Yelp
This is a beautiful restaurant with really great food. I would definitely have a reservation though. We sat right next to the hostess stand and people were being turned away. Our waitress was wonderful. But she got really busy. On top of waiting on us, she also hopped behind the bar to make drinks. She was very pleasant though. For starters we had the potatoes croquettes and a bowl of the French onion soup. The soup was delicious. The croquettes were ok but I probably wouldn't order them again. They were a little one note and without the mustard they were a little bland. My husband has the beouf bourginon (spelling?) and I had the scallops. I had a bite of his and it was to die for. The beef was so tender and the sauce was excellent My scallops were delicious as well, however the sweet potato spatzle was not my favorite. The mix of the scallops, pomegranate and maple syrup was delicious. It tasted like autumn. For dessert I had one of their minis. I had the chocolate peanut butter pie and I could've eaten 20 of them.

Graciela M.

Yelp
As always the lunch did not disappoint! The service was excellent from Jata who was exceptional. The gorgeous Spring weather and the view added to the experience as well. I absolutely love their French Onion Soup, salads and today we tried a new dish.

Monica P.

Yelp
Three of us dined here for Port City Taste Restaurant Week. I made reservations for 7:30pm. Let me first start with the positives about our evening: The food was fantastic! We had the crispy calamari, two different salads; all of us ordered the Boeuf Bourguignon (perfect tender braised short rib!!). For dessert we each had Minis: Crème Brulee, Carrot Cake, and NY Cheesecake - perfect size after eating a large meal. $35 for the three course menu was a very good deal. Our server Robb was excellent and quite the charm with all his customers. Now the negative part of our evening: We arrived to a very crowded restaurant! Not Covid compliant at all. The restaurant was filled to capacity, not 50%. The bar was full. People were waiting in a crowded aisle for their table. We had to wait 45 minutes for a table. We were told, "Your table is still occupied and they've been here for two hours." We didn't understand, "...your table". I would think we would get the next available table, not a specific one. Having to wait 45 minutes was ridiculous. I know of several restaurants that have a 1.5 hour dining limit so that other guests can enjoy dining out. I highly recommend Brasserie du Soleil do the same. Of course, I can understand a long leisurely dinner for people celebrating a special occasion. I asked the hostess if she could get us a table that was at least six feet from other tables. She did well, as we got a table in a corner, near the outside door. Only one table was next to us, but it was not 6 feet apart, maybe 4 feet apart. We didn't know if the place was packed due to the restaurant week, or if it was the norm. In any case, they should hand out buzzers and have people wait in their car; or the hostess should take people's phone numbers where she could call the guests while they wait in their car. Robb thanked me for paying my tip in cash. Apparently a lot of restaurants pass on the credit card service fee to their servers, so in the end, their tip is less! Please pay your tips in cash if possible. If this place was Covid compliant, I would give it five stars. Robb gets five stars. We won't be returning unless the weather is nice and we can sit outside. It was just too crowded inside.

Yelp
Today was not the first time I have been to Brasserie, but it was the first time I have ever been for brunch. My son was with me for Father's Day, and he had never tried Brasserie, so off we went. Brasserie has a wonderful outdoor patio looking over a pond when the weather is nice, but it was muggy since a tropical storm was on its way, so we opted to sit inside. Inside the decor is dark wood on the walls with an older style tin tile ceiling. Inside is always a bit loud, although Sunday afternoon is not as loud as a Friday or Saturday night. As usual with my son, we got shellfish for an appetizer (in this case, mussels). Brassiere has three different sauces that they steam the mussels with: mariniere, diable, and saffron. I believe all 3 sauces have the same base of white wine, butter, and minced shallots, but the mariniére has tomatoes, the saffron has, well, saffron of course, and the diable has some hot spice to it. I like them all, but the saffron is my favorite, which was our choice. Once the mussels are gone, dip the french bread in the remaining sauce; its marvelous. Brassiere French bread is excellent and comes with real butter, but the bonus of dipping in the left over mussel sauce: priceless. My son had the eggs Benedict of they day which was over Canadian bacon and Gruyere cheese. I had their sauteed flounder over quinoa salad. The eggs Benedict was rich and yummy; just as you would expect. They come over a monster piece of French bread. The flounder was cooked properly, had a nice thin crust, but was just a little bland for my taste. Granted, following the saffron broth is a tough challenge, but I would like the flounder better with more spices. One of the always fun treats at Brassiere is the desserts. Yes, they have a couple of American portioned giant desserts that have 1500 calories, but their special touch is the little dessert parfaits. Each parfait is bigger than a shot glass, but not as large as a whiskey glass. They are served with little spoons, and so you can order several, split them among the group, and everyone gets to try a few bites of goodness without stuffing yourself.

Yelp
Brasserie was one of my favorite restaurants until today. The Hangar steak, house made french fries, tallow with crusty baguette, and desserts were all phenomenal. Like the best chocolate desserts anywhere. Throughout Covid they kept their high standards for food and service. We visited a dozen plus times through covid and every time was great. Great waiters, great food, great atmosphere. Unfortunately I visited with my family tonight and the food and service both went downhill. The french fries are frozen, steak was one of the worst I have ever had in a restaurant (couldnt cut through it or chew through half of it) and the hostess was clueless. We were looking forward to a nice meal and were beyond disappointed. I asked one of the waiters what happened and he said the have a new executive chef, new GM, and new waitresses. I hope they get their act together.

Anna L.

Yelp
Food was excellent. Few other dishes forgot to take pics of. Octopus was excellent. Tuna tartare was lacking some sauce, bitter greens is not a goos paring. But it worked. Oysters were perfect. Potato croquettes were very tasty, maybe needed a tad bit of salt. Ratatouille with balsamic reduction and burrata was excellent!!

Chris P.

Yelp
A nice restaurant with good quality food. Most of our dishes were super yummy. I would definitely return.

Denise M.

Yelp
Meh says it all. Appetizers and desserts were decent, though cheese should be served at room temp and it was hard cold. Not very French of them. Crème brûlée was surprisingly right on point ( not too eggy, smooth creamy, cooked just right) given the rest of the meal. Entrees disappointing: Beef Bourgie: veggies chopped to a large dice, why? Salty, why? Mashed potatoes that are overly rich on the bottom, why? Not more than a few ounces of beef, why? Flounder: could not taste lemon in sauce. Bland and boring, and the fish, which was surely frozen was too soggy before cooking from defrosting perhaps, to have good texture. I ate a small portion but left most uneaten. Waitress didn't bother to inquire if there was something wrong with the dish. Waitress: overly friendly diner style. I don't need to know your name or asked if I'm done "working on" my food. I am supposed to be enjoying fine dining not doing my laundry. (If you need to ask, I am not finished.) But this place WAS more of a chore. So she got it right. Also, what is it with placing such a small piece of bread in a paper wrapper directly on your table - no bread plate/basket even. Was the dishwasher on strike?. It's weird. Trust me, they don't do this in France. And we had to keep asking for more bread the "piece" placed at the table was about right for one, maybe two persons, but for three we were thinking maybe they hadn't warmed enough and she would be coming back with bread for the rest of us. You can do better.

Christa R.

Yelp
Exceptional ambiance food and drinks Great date night out or special occasions Service is attentive and engaging Desserts make the experience as well

Scott C.

Yelp
If you're not in a rush then this is the place. Two hours later and our waiter walking past our table many times serving others with us having to look at dirty dishes on our table. We enjoyed the starters the salad the entree and dessert. What was a big disappointment were the dozen local oysters we paid at market price ($56) which had little bits of meat and one was an empty shell that we had to bring to our waiters attention. Only to get it back with a tiny bit of meat in it. Our waiter recommended the local oysters which he said were full of meat. Yeah right.

Hannah P.

Yelp
Once again... my most favorite celebration/romantic/date night restaurant in town. Never have we had a bad experience here and it only keeps getting better. Our server Katie was so great to us and made my birthday dinner so much more pleasant with her kindness. We had the potato croquettes and I absolutely loved them. It was a deep fried ball of mashed potatoes on a bed of aioli sauce, definitely ask for more aioli sauce for dipping or else it will too dry! My boyfriend and I decided to step out the box this time and try something new. He got the anger steak cooked medium and it was amazing, so juicy and full of flavor. I strayed from my most favorite dish in the world...the Bolognese. Instead, I got the Boeuf Bourguignon and while it wasn't bad at all, it wasn't a good choice for me. It was basically stew but on a bed of mashed potatoes. Everything had great flavor, but I was not enjoying it unfortunately and thankfully my boyfriend loved it so he took it as my leftovers (lol!). For desert we had two small mini cream cups one dark chocolate mousse and one chocolate peanut butter pie. It was brought out with a candle for my birthday and they both were so good. I highly recommend the peanut butter pie! To repair my meal choice sadness, we ordered a to-go order of the Bolognese, along with some bread that Katie threw in. When I got home I instantly ate some and was out of this world so happy that we ended up ordering this to go because it was phenomenal.

Allie L.

Yelp
Perfect date night spot or birthday dinner for friends!!! Food was amazing, drinks awesome- get whiskey sour, ambiance. A little pricey but worth it. Hidden gem in Wilmington!

S H.

Yelp
Okay I'm gonna be honest. I had some high expectations for this place. My partner raves about this place as does his friends. We shared escargot and a muscles dish. I thought the escargot was bland and he loved it!? The muscles were fishy, he loved it?!?! The potato leak soup had halved pepper corns in it. Yikes! His salad was delicious?!?!?!? My beef bourguignon was under seasoned and room temperature. His filet Mignon was astonishing?!?!?!?!?!? What the hell? Our deserts mine key lime mini. Sour needed sugar. His coconut tart delicious. I felt cheated. Staff was awesome btw The whole Place was elegant.

Carol M.

Yelp
Went to Brasserie for my birthday dinner last evening. The waiter asked if it was a special occasion. I don't know why he asked because there was no little touch to acknowledge not even a candle in my dessert. Overall experience good but not great. First impression-bread cold with plain olive oil, plain butter, plain balsamic vinegar. Nothing creative. Chef heavy on salt on fried calamari and pomme fritte. Waiter forgot my Ceasars salad. Mini desserts were gummy and did not taste homemade at all. While the entrees were good, the missteps along the way would not make me want to go back.

Brian F.

Yelp
Ambiance definitely makes you feel like you are dining in a French bistro. The burger trio was nicely seasoned and delicious with the sliced roasted tomato. Fresh French fries can be great but be sure to ask for them extra crispy. The Avocado tartine was beautiful including the accompanying small garden salad. Managers were active on the floor taking care of guest and our server Stella was friendly and attentive.

Yelp
We had the most amazing meal, service and ambience here! I am never disappointed with this restaurant the food is amazing and the staff is tenured and knowledgeable. They were "out" of the charcuterie board... But our waiter, Rob suggested two items that I rarely order ... The grilled octopus and escargot. He nailed it these were absolutely amazing and made us feel adventurous and makes for a fun beach story... I highly recommend this wonderful place to anyone that lives here or is traveling in the area!

Yelp
Brasserie served as a wonderful location for a small mother-daughter holiday dinner. The Boeuf Bourguignon was perfectly done! Pictured here are desserts Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie & NY Cheesecake. We enjoyed glasses of llaura Tavo, Pinot Grigio to go along with our meals. Always a pleasure dining at Brasserie!

Yelp
I went on a Monday around 7 and was sat quickly but service was slow all around. I'm sure they were not well staffed just because of slow day, but definitely effected the rest of my experience. The food was good overall, the mussels lacked flavor.

Yelp
Very good food served by world class waitress Bailey who graciously went out of her way to anticipate everything we needed, from the moment we arrived through a final photo in the best location.....

Yelp
Given this place two additional chances, used to be really good. Out of Tropical Lightning and pernicious weed IPA. Out of several meal choices, calamari was flavorless but the flies out side were abundant.

Yelp
French cuisine, expensive but worth it! This is a very classy restaurant but as with most places near the beach, it's casual attire, no jackets required, unlike a lot of fancy places in the Northeast where I grew up. As soon as you walk in, you know this is a very elegant place. I felt under dressed even though I was more formally dressed than most people there including half my group. We had a large party and tried several different entrees. My son had Boeuf Bourguignon and he really enjoyed it. My other son had the seared duck breast and ate everything on the plate. 2 others had the Rigatoni Bolognese and said it was great. 3 of us had the flounder and we all thought it was delicious. My nephew had a bowl of the classic onion soup and enjoyed it immensely. All in all it was a thoroughly satisfying gastronomic experience. Bon appétit.

Yelp
From the branding and the menu I was a bit intimidated by the French authenticity. To be transparent, my experience with culture française began with an exchange student named Laurent and later a tight-bunned attendant at Charles de Gaulle airport. I celebrate diversity yet my experiences with le Français tends to be culturally off-putting, and I feared the atmosphere of Brasserie would be as stiff and cold. Au contraire... this place is cool! While escargot is on the menu, the servers and staff were casually polite and there weren't any floor-length white aprons or turned up noses to sour the vino or bitter the delicious food. In short, the menu is authentic and the venue and staff make the authenticity accessible. Bon appetit!

Yelp
We had company in town and were looking for somewhere a little more upscale then most of the restaurants in the area and most definitely found it. To start with the interior was old world classic with the dark wood and mirrors you truly felt like you were in a Brassiere in France. All of the staff from the hostess to our server were top notch. Drinks bread and appetizers were quickly at the table and were enjoyed by all. We never felt rushed by the staff and it was so nice to be able to have such a nice leisurely dinner. We all chose different entrees and of course being family we were able to taste some of everything and I'm telling you all was delicious. My wife and I are already making plans to go back for lunch in the near future as there luncheon menu looks great as well.
