The 11 Best Places to Eat in Paris Right Now - AFAR

"Set beneath Belle Époque–inspired posters and stained-glass fixtures, this lively brasserie from the Nouvelle Garde group combines playful vibes with reliably tasty, in-house cooking sourced from the Paris region. The menu is meat-forward — expect inventive items such as “chicken fingers” made from tête de veau alongside classics like beef tartare, beef bourguignon, and terrine — and ends on a sweet note with a towering Paris-Brest before heading out to nearby dive bars." - Eleanor Aldridge

We just finished our dinner here on our first night in Paris. The food was delicious — perfectly seasoned, not too salty, and you could really taste the quality. The service was amazing too! We told the sweet young guy who looked after us that his service was excellent, and he mentioned it was actually his first day working front of house after being in the kitchen. I was like, wow, you did such a great job! If you see this review, please pass it on to him, he’s truly amazing!

Had an absolutely amazing time here whilst visiting Paris! The food is incredible, the entrees were the highlight and the Paris Brest is to die for. The venue itself and decor is beautiful and the service was so friendly and fun. Make sure you don't miss out on this wonderful dining experience.

We were four and went there for lunch as soon as we got to Paris. We tried three different main dishes: catch of the day, beef steak and pork sausage. The entrecôte that we wanted to take was not available but overall it was a good experience in terms of food . Atmosphere and service very good.

Came here for lunch after seeing the great reviews. I ordered the leek appetizer and Fish special. Both were great and cooked perfectly. The server was great and spoke great English. The staff were very very friendly and I would highly recommend. Make sure to put in reservation if you want to dine here. It was always busy when I walked by the restaurant.

Heard so many good things about Brasserie Dubillot but my experience there was below my expectations. Unfortunately, my Auvergne snails were overly cooked as you can see in my picture - the snail butter was carbonized. While the flank beef was a generous piece of meat, it was tasteless. However, their homemade fries were quite good. On the bright side, the service was lovely despite the busyness of the place.

It was our first night in Paris, and we wanted a nice place to eat. I saw this restaurant was close by and decided to walk in around 10 p.m. The food was amazing, I loved how fresh the salmon was and how perfectly the yogurt sauce complemented it. For mains, we ordered the steak tartare, which was absolutely delicious and came with some of the best fries I have ever eaten. We also had the beef steak, which was equally tasty. For dessert, we chose the Paris-Brest, which was labeled as the house specialty, and they were right. It was rich in flavor and a soft, delightful way to end a savory meal. They didn’t charge us for the bread, and they served plenty of it. It was fresh and soft, just as it should be. The staff was amazing, always friendly and helpful. Our French isn’t the best, so we switched to English, and they were always polite and accommodating. I would definitely come back (and probably will). I recommend this place with my eyes closed!

Stopped here for dinner and the food and service were incredible. Paired with the great aesthetic and vibe of the restaurant, we had a wonderful dinner that ended up being one of the highlights of our Paris trip. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxed and delicious meal. The vegetarian dish was especially superb.

We had a fantastic meal here and a wonderful overall dining experience. Despite not having a reservation, the wait was only about 5–10 minutes. Fortunately, there was an English menu on the back of the regular one, offering a great selection of starters, mains, and desserts. While there isn’t a dedicated kids’ menu, we were able to find plenty of options that both kids enjoyed. The cocktail and wine list is impressive, and our waiter was extremely helpful in making recommendations. Every dish we ordered was excellent—full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and unique. Once again, we experienced the warm hospitality of a Parisian waiter who was polite, attentive, and efficient. I highly recommend this restaurant, but be aware it gets very busy. There was a constant line of about 10 people throughout our meal. If you plan to arrive around 7 PM, be prepared for a short wait or consider making a reservation. We would absolutely dine here again!

Yelp
Believe me, the "chicken fingers" made with tête de veau (calf's head) may be the culinary revelation you've been waiting for. One of the growing number of funky brasseries from the Nouvelle Garde group, Brasserie Dubiot has an atmosphere that is as good as the menu, so you can't go wrong with your order. Under Belle Époque-style posters and stained-glass light fixtures, meals are as much fun as they are tasty. Everything is handmade (made from scratch) by the young team, using ingredients from the Paris region whenever possible. Charbroiled meats are a real speciality, with steaks and pork ribs served in rich sauces (which will cost you €30 per person, or about $32). If you want to try escargots or steak tartare, this is also a great place for classics. For dessert, save room for a tall Paris Brest (a ring of choux pastry filled with hazelnut cream) before enjoying a drink at one of the many dive bars nearby.

Yelp
Great quality food and service . Everything was on point ! We don't have any reservations but the host took us in and we were given a lovely center table. This been our last day in Paris we wanted to have a real food meal. ordered some Snail for appetizer and they turned out good. A bottle of Merlot and Beer on the Pistol as French say. Some French fries. Main dish was Veg Risotto , Catch of the day and stake ... they all were just yummy ! Flavor was spot on . Ordered a house dessert not knowing the name of the dessert. The host bought us Lemonchello on the house to cheers as she really loved our group. All in all a great experience and fine service . A definite visit for a family wanting to have a great French food experience!

Yelp
Brasserie Dubillot is a busy and exciting place for deliciously authentic French cuisine. 5/5 service. The servers are all so kind and polite and make sure they give you a good experience and time there. We had a wonderful time conversing with the staff there. Food- sausage purée, Jesus, compte aop, homemade cod tarama, eggs mayo 5/5. The sausage purée was a fan favorite! We loved the flavors and texture of the sausage and the mashed potato was delicious as well and paired very well. The flank Salers beef was too chewy (4/5) and the catch of the day was a little too tough as well. This was a great experience!! Highly recommend coming here for some delicious French food and a wonderful time.

Yelp
Wonderful traditional French cuisine, friendly waiter spoke English but appreciated our attempts at French, great local atmosphere, delicious food and drinks. 4 and 5 year-old children were welcomed and actually behaved during this highlight meal

Yelp
Our first night in Paris and this lovely, lively brasserie was just across the street from the disastrous Airbnb we'd arrived at and from which we needed to flee! After several stressful frustrating hours spent in said hole, attempting to contact the owners and figure out a solution/ alternative place to stay, I hustled our family out of there to find literal refuge in the delightful welcome and colorful embrace of this beautiful spot. We literally fell into the bar area, exhausted hungry and thirsty, appealing to the very sweet maitre d for a table, or seats at the bar and garbling something probably unintelligible about our sorry predicament. They couldn't have been nicer, and in what was actually a very stressful situation of an evening, managed to provide the only uplift and joy we'd had in hours. Sitting at a cosy table and continuing to search for a brand new Airbnb in Paris to stay that night (good times... not what anyone needs after a 10 hour journey and excitement to start a short family trip!), the jolly and efficient waiter kept us fed and watered and basically lowered our collective blood pressure along the way! Eventually we secured a new Airbnb in another district of Paris and celebrated with a delicious dessert. I wish we could've relaxed and enjoyed our dinner here under less stressy circumstances, but I'm so glad and grateful for our experience here, we were well looked after!

Yelp
I almost didn't come here because of the Yelp rating, but when a person working at a nearby wine bar recommended it I figured why not. We got a table for two without a reservation. I had just gotten to Paris that day, and had a rough first day. This dinner took my mind off the bad stuff, and brought me back to the moment - a French meal in Paris. It was a textbook French meal. We shared mussels. I had steak and frites, and my girlfriend had sausage and mashed potatoes. I had a good French craft beer with my meal. Then the dessert was outstanding. I had the Paris Brest, I think it was the best version of the dessert that I've ever had. The service was solid too.

Yelp
Solid restaurant with great service. The apps were all so good, especially the oysters with the gratinated with marrow, still had the rich brine of the oysters complementing the heavy oily marrow. The vinaigrette leeks were also excellent. I got a little carried away with the lamb shoulder; I thought it was 30 for the whole dish vs 30pp, but that's on me not them. It was much more than I was expecting and we did not get to touch much of it, but it was solid. Ate it on the way to CDG my last day. Solid place for dinner, but wouldn't say its a must hit.

Yelp
Loved it when we popped by! We stopped here randomly after we got in to town. My husband got the sausage and potatoes and I got the steak and fries with béarnaise sauce. I didn't love the sauce, but the steak was cooked perfectly. The sausage and potatoes were also delicious. For dessert we got whatever our waiter recommended. We aren't sure what it was, but it was tasty! For drinks I got an aperol spritz and my husband got a local beer. Both were tasty! Would gladly return!

Yelp
We have a lovely meal here - everything was prepared well. We enjoyed our steak tartare, steak frites, and fennel salad. Service was attentive and kind. Would go back!

Yelp
A great atmosphere for dinner and a drink. We ordered the steak, medium rare, and fries. The steak was definitely on the more rare side, but it was still very good. Definitely a solid option in the area for a decent price.

Yelp
I came in around 11pm the other night to end my night with a good rose wine. I did not like how the waitress spoke to another waitress and looked at me and whispered before cleaning my table. Then after cleaning the table, I waited 15 minutes before getting my one glass of wine.
