I recently had the pleasure of dining at Brasserie Hansken in Oslo and had an amazing experience. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and is nicely decorated. The food was absolutely delicious, with the truffle pasta standing out as a highlight. The service was impeccable as well. The servers were not only attentive but also friendly, offering recommendations and ensuring that our dining experience was great from start to finish. All in all, the restaurant delivers an exceptional dining experience that combines exquisite food, great atmosphere, and top-notch service. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy a memorable meal in Oslo.

This is a white tablecloth restaurant with a welcoming vibe. We had good pilsner beer and very nice wine. I had the tartare which was exceptional. The shaved horseradish set it off! So very good. My friend had the French onion soup and he said it was the best he ever had. I'll be coming back for oysters and the excellent service. The apple tart was really good for dessert. Highly recommend.

By luck we got cancelled at another restaurant and were recommended to come here. Was a great option and the food and service was amazing!!

Brasserie Hansken, Oslo A well established dining outlet, with white table cloth settings, indoor & outdoor terrace style seating Pretty classic menu for lunch, excellent service team, courteous and efficient! Menu selection’s good size with emphasis on local/regional produce! My dining buddy who I have not seen for about 15 years, recommended this place and I was impressed! Being in Norway, Oslo I decided to go the seafood route, although we started off with some belotta iberico, perfectly sliced and a wonderful kick off! Food wise, Harald convinced me to join him to order the Langoustines! A total 💯 pointer, likely the best I ever had! Fresher than fresh, impossible to get in my home SG, light, flavourful and the broth was perfectly enhancing the shellfish! Absolutely fantastic! For the mains we had Wild Caught Turbot, on mashed potatoes! With some veggies, loads of Salmon Eggs on top! Flavor was perfect, a tad salty for the Asian palate. A HUGE portion, should have ordered only one dish and shared! Turbot a bit on the tough side, and the mash quite thick, one would expect a lighter version! Yet it was a good dish, just too much! We had some nice wines to accompany, an American and French , light and fitting for a lunch Good food, reasonably priced, well prepared and served! Wow. Just wow. Absolutely everything was delicious. The staff was super friendly and amazing. The wine list is to DIE for. Sadly I was on a busier trip and dining alone. Therefore could only enjoy the wines by the glass. The only recommendation I would have is to have the restaurant offer a couple 1/3 bottle options. Others, the meal was out if this world!!

Simply the best steak tartare in town! For a few hours at a table at Brasserie Hansken, you can really feel like you're living your best life. Flawless food, great service.

We were a group of 7 persons, enjoyed a brilliant evening last night.. our main waiter and his colleagues made it to a special evening. The food was excellent, the kingcrab was absolutely delicious.. absolutely to recommend!

Brasserie Hansken is a high class restaurant. The prices are accordingly high. We where a group of 25 people having a special celebration. The brasserie offer a nice evening with many well tasting dishes - with a selection of very good wines. But it is expensive to enjoy your meal in this nice restaurant. I think that the restaurant has high ranking chefs that will make your evening lovely. Additionally, they will serve you wine that fits the menu in a perfect way. So, finally it is just a question of how many euros you are willing to spend on one evening.

While wandering Oslo, we found this brasserie with an outdoor patio. Needed a bit of refreshment between lunch & dinner so we gave it a try without any research and were pleasantly surprised. We ordered some wine and a cheese sampler. It came with both a French bread & Fruit/nut bread that was excellent. Service was terrific. Bit pricey but it's Oslo.

The waiter said he had to ask the maitre de if we could be served, a few minutes after 10PM. He said, "Nein, nein"without a thought. Would NEVER go there for any reason. Nein!

great selection of fish in this nice restaurant in Oslo. I enjoyed very much my dinner here. Very good white vine suggested with the fish. I would come back

Truly delightful! Lovely location near the harbor with nice outdoor seating area, a beautiful full bar and great table seating inside. General Manager Stefan Walltin made perfect recommendations of the lobster salad and a seasonal Turbot with white asparagus and grilled cucumbers, both were beautiful and delicious. The restaurant was packed and lively, and everyone seemed to be very happy with the atmosphere, service, full bar and excellent cuisine. I will return and highly recommend it to any size party.
