Brasserie Hotel Qaqortoq

Sometimes we get served exceptionally bad food, and this was one of those times. The positives. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is nice with a view over the harbour. The Negatives. We ordered two main courses, service was exceptionally quick so the food must have been pre cooked. Seafood Pasta- served as a bowl of hot pasta in a sour white sauce, with a layer of warm smoked salmon, topped with fridge cold prawns. The smell of the pasta was so bad it was inedible. Club Sandwich - served as a ciabatta roll, with overcooked chicken breast, dry bacon, melted cheese, a curry/odd flavoured mayonnaise, tomato and lettuce. The unpleasant sauce dominated the taste. The chips were edible. We left most of the food as can be seen in the photo. The restaurant is pre pay, none of the staff asked if we were happy with our meal, we spoke to the reception staff as we were leaving who did not seem to care that we had had a bad meal, and when we said we would write a review they seemed to think that was a good idea. Perhaps one to avoid whilst visiting the lovely location, fortunately there are better places to eat.

Absolutely delighted by the two outstanding blended coffees I enjoyed! The breathtaking views, warm and friendly service, and pristine cleanliness truly set the stage for an unforgettable experience. Even though I didn’t get a chance to dine in, the enticing sight of the food indicates a promising culinary journey. I’m already looking forward to my next visit – without a doubt, this place has won me over!

We arrived by expedition ship and wanted to sit in the cafe and get a hot drink. Unfortunately this opens after 12 pm but manager kind enough to let us use the restroom.

On entering the hotel is already unfriendly. They wrote on the board: No Wi-Fi and No toilet 😅 This things are obligatory in 2023 r.

Yes, on occasion they have to lock their doors and put up a sign saying No WiFi, No Toilets, and I don't blame them. Guests can still enter using room key cards but the hoards of invading american tourists from the occasional visiting cruise ship cannot enter just to use the toilet or access the free WiFi.

It was very unorganized and you have you stand in line like a food place to order, sit down then get your food like normal, and that takes forever.

Zero stars, I’ve been soaked with others drink because waiter drop others after eated dish dropped to my back, I have to change my clothes to back and eat my order, here’s the thing nobody apologize to what happens to me, I have to tell them to apologize to me, and the next manager of the hotel say on the phone to hers worker to say to me that they couldn’t do much about it they just say sorry meaningless. Hotel Qaqortoq not recommended to stay there or even go to cafeteria there. Bad service and food taste terrible.

Good place for lunch or dinner - mostly burgers (massive), some pasta dishes (with chicken/fish), some salads (with chicken/fish), beer on tap (0.5L or 1L size) and wines. There is also a kids menu. Prices are reasonable (99dkk for the regular burger).
