"This attractive brasserie with its striking high coffered ceiling and pretty interior courtyard promises a genuine French dining experience. Try the tourte de queue de boeuf (oxtail pie) or the seafood platter followed by the tarte au citron. All the wines are French." - Michelin Inspector

The place looks nice and spacious. Fits for people who wants to enjoy the nice food and atmosphere. The service is nice, staff are friendly and speaks English without any problems. We order an appetizer and soup for sharing and main dish for both of us. The portion fits perfectly for two of us. The cold appetizer is really tasty and the lobster soup is amazing. Main course decorated nicely and taste good as well. I will recommend people to come for trying.

The food is fine , somehow a bit salty , the portion is pretty big if you are pretty hungry and you surely will get full ! A bit pity some details are missing such as didn’t offer the steak knife for the flank steak , and didn’t ask how you want your steak done , too quickly taking away the bread tray . You can feel the lack of training of some new staffs . The chef came out to say hello somehow not so happy and also didn’t introduced himself is a bit odd ! If they want, I am sure they can do way better than that ! Please go for it !!

Excellent meal. Everything we tried was delicious. Service was efficient and professional. Monkfish was definitely the highlight for me, though the steak tartare came in a close second. Chef came out after our meal, which is always an appreciated gesture. Wine list is very good, although I'd like to see more choices on the lower end of the price scale. Dessert was definitely overpriced, yet delicious. But when your dessert costs the same as your starter, it makes you wonder. Definitely will come back to try more of the wonderful French menu. Overall, highly recommended.

Overall great restaurant. Definitely recommended. Food was very good. Service staff was MOSTLY friendly but service speed was slow. One improvement area can be that the staff can take negative comments (about the slow service speed mainly) more gracefully. when confronted about the slow service speed the answer I was given was that they have 40 people to serve (which should be normal in a restaurant:-) ).

It is a great place for fine French dining. The service and food are both excellent. The wine list is good and the overall experience is wonderful. It is restaurant that I enjoy returning to. Highly recommended.

Google
Very chick and classy restaurant in Altstadt. Service is superb and so as the dishes. The only problem I had is about my order, 500g shrimps. They are fresh but very salty, hence the rock salts everywhere. I have asked them politely that they might have to change the amount of salt (see my picture for your reference) as some people may not like it at all. Hence, 4 stars.

Great experience, best waiter Ruben, amazingly caring and funny. Enjoyed our dinner (best plates tartar and rib eye) delicious desserts (mango sorbet our favorite) definitely worth a try! Will come back! Thanks guys!

Yelp
Highly overpriced! This restaurant is trying to be recognized as an upscale place, but only because of its prices. The waters are friendly and polite. But a very limited menu. Just flat flavor. Have those other positive reviewers ever experienced other terrific places?

Yelp
The best meal I've ever had in Germany. And yes, I've had many. This french restaurant has it all - quaint upscale atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff and an always evolving menu that hits all the right notes from apps and craft cocktails to dessert. I honestly cannot say enough great things about our dining experience - first visit was a group of 8 in the main dining, and it was so good 2 of us came back and ate at the bar a few nights later. Both dinners were exceptional. The raw oysters were amazing - we had a few "experts" from the US northeast claim they were better than anything thy had had in new england. I had the rigatoni with venison bolognese twice it was that good. Beet and goat cheese salad was a perfect starter. The famous apple tart to top it off.

Yelp
I have been to the Brasserie already a couple of times and I am still a fan. Location is prime, right in the heart of the Altstadt. It's situated in the historic Stadthaus, the main dining room has high wooden antique ceilings. Setting is simple elegant. For the warmer months they have a beautiful terrace which I highly recommend. Service is attentive and friendly although some of the servers could be more knowledgeable when it comes to wine. It is not always necessary to ask the sommelier. They have a decent wine list concentrating on wines from France. Their selection for Champagnes is excellent, their selection for white and reds is just fine. I would have expected a better selection. Their kitchen is excellent, they serve classic Brasserie dishes with a modern touch. Every now and then they will change their menu according to season, keeping the classics. Their oysters were super fresh, the Steak Frites cooked to perfection with an incredible grapefruit bernaise. If you have the chance try the veal tongue and the scallops. I haven't tried their desserts yet which look yummy just from reading the menu. The head chef makes a round after dinner service greeting all of the guests personally. This is a really nice touch. I may not be cheap but for this experience it's excellent value for money. One final note which is worth mentioning, they don't accept credit cards, which seems to be a trend for classy restaurants in Germany.

Yelp
I was there twice at their bar, and I think their cocktails are probably currently the best in town and cheaper than in all other top cocktail places in Düsseldorf. I also joined for their New Year event: the 9 course menu was probably the best I have ever had. Great place!

Yelp
Recently ate at The Brasserie Stadthaus and it was fantastic. Beautiful setting, excellent service, friendly people, great bar with a wide selection of liquors to suit every taste. I preferred the Tito's on the rocks. Great patio/terrace for the warmer months. Do yourself a favor, visit this great restaurant.
