Great brats and beers in a fun casual environment. Stopped in for lunch and the food was delicious and made fresh with great flavor and ample portions. The beer selection was excellent though there were out of one of my favorites the day that I went. Service was fast and friendly and the laid back atmosphere was a great place to have lunch. I can see spending even more time here for an evening with friends.

This place is a fantastic little find right outside of Old Town Scottsdale off of Scottsdale Road. We went here with a group of co-workers for happy hour and wasn't disappointed. Parking is a little rough on a busy street but worth it once you get into the restaurant. The atmosphere is highly decorated and reminiscent of a German style Octoberfest tent. There is a tree and shade structures along with board games and long picnic tables for family style meals. The decor and the big chair are hilarious and the place is super pet friendly. Encouraging you to bring pets and have free water and dog bones to accommodate. They even have a pet menu. The beer list was sufficient but the real gym is the food. You have to order the pretzel and take in its sheer magnitude. It also doesn't hurt that it was absolutely delicious. We had six people that ate off of one pretzel and still couldn't finish it all. Overall fantastic little place and I look forward to coming back again soon

Great outdoor beer garden. Good food, good drinks. Lots of space. They have two different indoor sections. One with a bar, the other for dining.

We highly recommend this place, if only for their incredible sausage - it was absolutely delicious! The beer selection was also decent. While we found the prices to be a tad steep, the overall experience was enjoyable and worth a visit.

This is seriously one of the best hidden gems in old town. The food is fresh and very reasonable compared to a lot of expensive crap in the area. Great beer selection, and the staff are kind and TRULY care about their customers. I came around 1:30pm in the summer for lunch and stayed until 6pm for the company. Drew, one of the owners, is so down to earth. Kristen is an incredible bartender, server, manager and is great at ensuring everyone is happy around the restaraunt. The brats are obviously delicious and fresh, the fries are INSANE!! The process they do make the fries shows how much they care about their food. We stayed long enough that we sampled their cocktails for a trainee bartender and WOW! 10/10 cocktails I had no idea. We also joined their stein club which is a steal. $50 for a year and you pay for a pint and get a custom stein (we engraved ours with our name) along with 10% off food and access to fun events. Brat Haus needs more recognition as one of the best places in Scottsdale...but not too much because I want to still get a seat! Go in the fall for the incredible patio...stay for the good food, beers, and service.

This is the place to be! Come and enjoy outside and incredible food. This is a great family and dog friendly place and we absolutely love it!

Google
Love this place. Great sausages, terrific beer selection, and an awesome outdoor beer garden. Great staff and fabulous fries just add to a wonderful experience. We always stop here when in Scottsdale. Terrific tap selection too. Update: Was here on Feb 13, 2025 and once again Brat Haus delivered. Polish and a Chicago dog were both great with friendly service. Courtney is very funny.

I've eaten here at least 25 times over the past 5-6 years and have always enjoyed the food, drink and service. As a single older gentleman, I sit at the small bar inside and normally arrive between lunch and dinner during the week to avoid crowds. Today I had a bad food experience and it really surprised and saddened me since I really like the place. I ordered a beer, two different sausage sandwiches and an order of fries. Everything was very good including the service EXCEPT one big problem: the two rolls that were served with the sausage sandwiches were the WORST rolls I have ever tried to eat or were served for a sandwich. They were dried out, too much dough, stale, flavorless and something a supermarket throws away in the garbage after a week on the shelf. What made matters worse was as I picked up each sandwich and attempted to bite into them, the bread just crumbled apart. By the end of my meal 95% of the two rolls remained in a giant pile of small broken pieces on my tray. My hands were a mess from all the toppings getting all over and I finished the second sandwich just eating the sausage and toppings with a knife a fork. If you are going to serve sausage sandwiches on rolls, they need to be good at a minimum. Instead something as simple as a .50 roll ruined good food, beer and service. Gonna take me a while to try this place again .....

Yelp
We were recently in Scottsdale and had our dogs with us so decided to stop here for an early dinner. They are dog-friendly and their patio area is huge with lots of space. We had about a 15 minute wait, which was fine...well worth the wait!!! We didn't realize it but we had arrived during Happy Hour and they offer free dog brats! Of course the girls were all about diving into those! Wife had the Weihenstephan Hefeweissbie Beer, which she loved. It was at the suggestion of our server and it was spot on, she said. Wife ordered the pretzel bites, which we both had previously and loved them. They come with a beer cheese dip that is out of this world! She also ordered the Port Apple Gouda brat, which she loved. She reports that it was juicy and a bit on the sweet side because of the apple but the gouda balanced it all out. She also had fries, well done and no complaints! I wasn't in the mood for a dog so ordered the Double Animal, which is a double cheeseburger and of course, had to get extra pickles! I also had fries and we realized that we could have just shared one order but it was all good. Great service, great food, great ambiance, and one of the best dog friendly places we've been to!

Yelp
We had the good fortune to have Troy as our server, who just happens to be the owner's son. It was a semi-busy afternoon, but Troy was wonderful. He had great beer recommendations (they have like 20 on tap) and he never rushed us with a decision. The beers were delectable. My friend got a boot of a german beer and I got a pint. The food was tasty. Next time we will try the BRATS, we didn't get a chance this time. The layout is kinda cool: Two small buildings, one of which is more of the bar, the other is more the restaurant, with a large patio in between the two. As some reviewers have said, some of the hand-built tables kinda have awkward spacing, but we didn't seem to mind. Troy even gave us "local" advice on some other places to check out. Highly recommend!

Yelp
This place was super cute and caught our attention with the giant espresso martini sign. We were actually waiting for a spot at brunch and wandered on over and had some delicious drinks. Service was great and they had a super cute outdoor area to enjoy
google avatar

Yelp
We had a great evening here, Troy was our server. The food was good and they had a good selection of German and local craft beers.

Yelp
I was here for a private event in which the company was celebrating 15 years in business. The reserved area was off to the side by the kitchen, which allowed for a great atmosphere. The food was good, including sliders, brats, pretzel bites, and more. The service was also great, as they were on top of everything, from getting guest drinks to replacing utensils. I attended a private event at this restaurant to celebrate a small business's 15th anniversary. The reserved space, located near the kitchen, provided a lively and inviting atmosphere. The food selection was enjoyable, featuring options like Sliders, Brats, Pretzel Bites, and more. The service was great, with the staff tending to all the guests throughout the event. It wasn't hard getting drinks despite the busy atmosphere outside of our area. An ideal spot to grab some great German food & beer with a very casual relaxed vibe.

Yelp
My family and I love brat haus, it's super delicious and it fills me dad up which never happens lol but it has a lot of GF options and it makes things nice they always have a cider on tap which I love the outdoor area is so lovely and our service was great!

Yelp
Brat Haus is the most fun! If you're looking for an incredible selection of beers, ciders and spirits this is the spot! They have so many imported beers that are fantastic and hard to find. Drew runs the show and gives the best service. The staff is incredible! We enjoyed the Octoberfest! It was well received for the entire family. Great chill spot, lots of seating and good vibes.

Yelp
Great place to have dinner on a Friday night. We sat outside on the patio at one of the wooden tables. I did enjoy sitting outside but I didn't like that the bench was not able to be adjusted - I was too far away from the table and that made it difficult to eat. We started with the pretzel bites. The pretzel bites were pretty good but the beer cheese was great. I got the cheeseburger and really enjoyed it. The burger has a great flavor and the onion jam adds a nice sweetness. I liked the fries they served with it. My sister got the chicken jalapeño cheddarwurst and she really enjoyed it as well.
google avatar

Yelp
Jamie is the best waitress I've ever had. We've been here about 49,000 times, I love their specialty sausages, especially when they add some jalapeños in there. Their wings are interesting butter and Sriracha. They soak up the beer as well as anything else does. Watch out for those 9.9% alcohol beers, though, they hit you hard and then you get into conversations with people you wish you hadn't met and shared your number with. My one complaint is that they let people have their children, dear the ping-pong, tables, and us older folks who are actually really good at playing can't get near the tables. It is a beer place, for adult adults, so maybe they should separate the kids side an adult side so that the adults can get away from those jumping, screaming bouncing kids. I have nothing against kids. I have a problem with kids beer and bars.

Yelp
Reserved a table for a party of 12 on a Friday night in February with no problems. We showed up a few minutes late for our time, but the hostess was friendly and didn't even mention our tardiness. The table was ready and the beer menus were already calling our names. The place itself is pretty spacious, though I didn't get to see it all because some parts were closed off given it being the off season. The menu is your standard German fare, with pretzels, fried food, and some cases meats that have varying levels of broad appeal. Our group did the party platter and Bavarian pretzel. Out of the party platter, the cheese curds were the winner. The chili tots had potential but came out lukewarm. I didn't sample the vegetables because I didn't come to Brat Haus to make smart health choices. As for the beer, there's a lot of options, and the staff seemed knowledgeable on what would work for everyone's tastes. They offer a few large stein options which help when you're looking to fully embrace the vibe.

Yelp
This place is amazing! The staff is wonderful, the service was great and the food and beer were delicious! We had a really chill lunch with great conversation. Loved it! I'm telling you, definitely get yourselves over here!

Yelp
I definitely enjoyed this brewery lots of beers and food to choose from. I like how you can build a brat how you like it and choose toppings. All the food looked delicious and was hard to make a decision. They have a lot of beers on tap and also have a beer flight. I will be coming back here to try out more local beers and have a giant pretzel!
google avatar

Tony J.

Yelp
Had to go again. Didn't disappoint at all. The fries were outstanding with a side of chilli. This chilli is out of bounds good! Chicago dog was good but the bun is way too big and two bites in i lost the toppings. I would def order again but maybe do bun on the side or bun-less. The bun is def good but they need to maybe carve some of the inside out to make space to jam all those awesome toppings in and hold better. Sat outside this time vs inside and had a great experience.

Yelp
I came here with some friends for trivia. It was our first time here, I called ahead as well to get details and know what to expect. The person on the phone had no idea and couldn't help ‍ but at least she was nice and apologized for not knowing. The trivia was not what I've ever experienced before. I learned that trivia company isn't something I want to experience again. The food was ok, it wasn't great and it wasn't bad. The fries were the star for me. If you go, be prepared to bundle up since they don't utilize the heaters that are around the area. It was cold even with sweaters and hoodies. If you like brats and beer, you'll probably like this place a lot. If you don't, I'd say it might not be for you.

Yelp
Great place to grab a beer and some food. There's a small indoor place and a beautiful large outdoor space. The bratz are really good so is the pretzel. Service is excellent. It's child friendly but a great place to go for a good time. It's also dog friendly, they have events specifically for dogs. They also have Oktoberfest every year.
google avatar

Brooke D.

Yelp
Came here with a friend for a quick bite to eat and ordered the jalapeño chicken cheddarwurst with fries. The brat and fries were definitely good but nothing crazy. We also got pretzel bites which were good but I wish they were a little softer. This place has a great beer selection and has great outdoor seating!

Yelp
It was a little cool & breezy to sit on the patio but it was lively out there, so we were shown an agreeable spot inside the Brat Haus. The server was friendly, and helpful. The very model of how a server sets the tone for our experience. My wife chose the schnitzel while I ordered the sausage platter. She praised the breading (spaetzle?) for the flavors. My 3 different sausages were very good and plenty of food. Their beer menu is really varied, weighted toward German styles, naturally, but as the owner's description states in his beer choices include several regional brewery examples. I hope to come here again. The downside of the location is parking. We went about 2 city blocks to find a legal spot.

Yelp
First time at Brathaus and I was pleasantly surprised. It has a very large and inviting back patio area. Lights, canopies, various seating options and fans create a rather fun space to sit and enjoy your meal. The menu happily offered several salad options which as a vegetarian made me happy. My friend ordered a sausage, fries with cheese and really liked her meal. I was happy with my Haus Salad. It was a generous size and I really liked the avocado and pickled onions. I will definitely go back and the welcoming patio is the biggest plus in my opinion.

Yelp
Visited this place during off-peak hours. About 80% of tables were open but the host and server made us wait to move a couple who was seated at a larger table so they could put us at that large table. They moved the couple, didn't wipe the table off and sat us there. This was done despite there being several other large tables available. My group was very confused and would've been happy sitting anywhere. Other than the initial delay and confusion, we enjoyed the space. Everyone in my group order boots and split a pretzel. The pretzel is HUGE! and it was delicious! Good amount of salt, the dough was excellent and the sauces went perfectly with the salty dough. I would go back again but the weird interaction when we first got there irked me as someone who worked as a server in the past.

Yelp
Have been wanting to try this for years and finally did during a Scottsdale exploration weekend. We only came in for some snacks and beers but were welcomed so nicely in the "bar" which is really just another little restaurant area. We enjoyed playing eye spy with the kiddos while enjoying beer from the amazing tap list. The draft list is INSANE and there is a little of everything so everyone would be happy (there's also a full bar). Happy to report that the food is better than average pub food. The fried pickles were insanely good, the fries were crispy and delightful, and the sauces had a flavor for everyone. The atmosphere was welcoming, and despite being busy, the waitress was so attentive and so nice to the kiddos. 10/10 would come back and enjoy the patio atmosphere too.
google avatar

Taro Y.

Yelp
Food is good , you can drink, and so many different kind sausages! Good service, casual atmosphere. Want to go back again
google avatar

Michael M.

Yelp
We were excited to try this place, but left disappointed. Our waitress talked up the brat, fries and toppings, but we found all of them to be somewhat bland. The worst however were the fries. Very salty with no potato flavor. Our bill for two, with two beers and tip was $65. The service was also interesting to say the least. We were treated rather rudely. As a visitor to Scottsdale, we found better options elsewhere. Our suggestion would be to avoid this place.

Yelp
I have been to Brat Haus twice, the first time was a takeout because we decided to sit at Gold Water Brewing where we were allowed to bring food. Gold Water is right next to Brat Haus in Scottsdale. The second time, we sat at one of the tall tables on the outdoor patio. One thing we like about this place is the vibe and ambiance. The restaurant is divided into different sections, some areas are suitable for large party dining, some areas are easier for people to grab a drink and snack, and the outdoor patio is dog friendly and has outdoor games. This would be a fun place to host birthday parties or hang out with friends. We tried their signature hot dog and fries. The food was good, especially with the many sauce options. They also have a huge selection of beers. I tried their cocktail as well, which was pretty good. This place is also super dog-friendly with water bowls and treat jars everywhere. Overall, I liked my experiences with this place and would come back, especially with friends and puppies.
google avatar

Kyle L.

Yelp
I've been here twice, once pre-COVID and once post-COVID. Both times it was too easy for me to spend money here. I love German beer, and this place has a strong selection. I was a part of large groups both times and it wasn't a problem to get a table either time. The steins are fun, enough said.
google avatar

Minda H.

Yelp
Dog friendly, great beer selection and good food! What more could you ask for? The staff was super friendly, made suggestions and was very attentive. Two bar areas with a huge dog friendly patio! I will be going again.
google avatar

Yelp
From start to finish service is always amazing and the staff are super friendly. Food is also incredible and they are the most dog friendly place I have ever been to.

Yelp
Love coming here for trivia. Spencer is so funny except when you he makes the same joke about cheating every time

Yelp
I stopped into BratHaus on a Wednesday afternoon (4:00) with my husband. Had to track down a server since no one was behind the bar (there were 3 patrons drinking at bar). Finally ordered two beers, drank them and had to go find the same server who was outside chatting with coworkers, in order to pay our bill. We would have had another round, had anyone checked on us. Won't be back, as there are plenty other bars in Old Towne Scottsdale.
google avatar

Risto K.

Yelp
Good and fun place to have some German style sausages along with great beer. Conveniently located in Oldtown Scottsdale it is walking distance from many places. I meant to come here before but somehow it was never working out. I was pleasantly surprise that hostess was located outside and directed guests in two two different building or into the garden. We opted to sit inside... Outside seating is much more spacious than inside ... Sausages(dogs) are absolutely delicious! Good choices, with good sides. Mustard selection is good. As I am in the phase where I minimize carbs - I didn't try beer or pretzels I will do this on a subsequent visit. Down side to this place is that outside of brats and beer food is not all that good. Burger my wife had with bacon was sub par. So don't order it...

Robert W.

Yelp
Took a visiting friend to Brat Haus because they wanted some pretzels. We ended up having a full meal and I was incredibly impressed. The first great surprise was the extensive tequila/mezcal selections. We collect mezcals and they had several top notch additive free brands that I immediately want to try. Picked one, then saw the beer list. No shock, it was extensive and had fantastic variety. Got a laugh when we both picked out an Abbey ale. It was served in a custom labelled glass for the brand. Delicious! I do not drink beer normally but the temptation... We had ordered the pretzel bites and they were served hot with several dipping sauces. They were great! We ordered pork schnitzel and the 3 brat platter. TERRIFIC! The quality of the food, the presentation and quantity were SUPERB. I had gone with no expectations and I was absolutely floored with how good it is. Service was fast and courteous. Both the server and manager made several round to check in us. Great job! Customer Experience rating here is 10/10. I don't make it to German restaurants often, but now I'm a fan. We'll be heading back very soon. Have to bring my wife next. She will love the outdoor patio and I know she's going to love the food. Bottom line: If you are trying to decide on a great dining experience, Brat Haus is a BIG YES! Get ready for great selection, delicious food and lots of fun!
google avatar

Joey C.

Yelp
The unbelievable steps they put into insuring that their French- fries are the most scrumptious they can be, is a testament to their commitment to QUALITY food !!!
google avatar

Ardel M.

Yelp
Bigger and better menu. More German foods. Neet was good but food was not great. Probably better place to visit in beer garden. Server was nice
google avatar

Bailey E.

Yelp
What a cool place! Love the expansive patio--even on a hot day in July theres awesome misters and shade that keep it nice and cool. It's dog friendly and they apparently even offer dog birthday parties! While I didn't give that a go this time, I thoroughly enjoy all of the appetizers they have. We tried the soft pretzels with beer cheese and the green Chile pork poutine and everything was soooooo good. I'd love to try the fried pickles and queso like dip next time. Parking isn't really available out front, but because it's old town Scottsdale there's some within walking distance.
google avatar

Joseph B.

Yelp
What can I say, it doesn't get better. My favorite is to order a stein of Hofbräu & the animal style burger, then while Matt isn't looking, chug his stein, play innocent, then order another stein of Hofbräu because Paulaner isn't my favorite. Followed by another stein for Matt..

Adam H.

Yelp
Good food, good beer, good people... I always enjoy my visits! This is my go to place when I am in Scottsdale!
google avatar

Misha T.

Yelp
Boots of beer and tater tots in a nice beer garden after some spring training baseball is a pretty good combination. Sometimes it doesn't take much and this is one of those times. I'd happily go back.
google avatar

Matthew J.

Yelp
What a fun and family friendly place. We were visiting the area for spring training and stopped in here because they had advertised: kid friendly and big patio. And they are right. The staff was friendly. We found a great outdoor table, and we chowed down on the giant pretzel, some drinks, and the chef's selection of sausages. All of it was tasty. And we spent a good amount of time just hanging out and relaxing. I will definitely visit again!

Erika R.

Yelp
Authentic German food!! Big beer list, schnitzel was phenomenal. We came to town from California for a half marathon and were looking for post-race food. Everywhere else had loud music and a long wait. This little gem was a quiet tucked away patio with friendly service and tons of dogs. I wish I lived in the area so I could come here more!

Lawrence F.

Yelp
I live in northern Illinois and have been to Wisconsin countless times and have had brats both in restaurants but also purchased them in many establishments that sell them to cook. Have had brats from many purveyors that sell in retail grocery stores as well. I have family that lives in Scottsdale and Phoenix and I visit there about twice a year now. I have been meaning to go into Brat Haus for at least the past five years. Finally made it there this week. I have to say these were the best brats I have ever had. The Haus brat was fantastic, but the goat and lamb brat with the jams on it was the best brat ever. Our server, Chloe, was attententive, knowledgable, and very friendly. Their tap menu had a selection of beers that would pair nicely with anything on their menu. Bought two extra brats to take on the plane back to Chicago and finally ate them today. This will be that place for me that you always make sure you visit every time you go to a city. For me, Brat Haus is a must stop at least once everyime in town. Wes (I believe his name was) great job and great hiring practices. This is a must visit!!!!!
google avatar

Lisa D.

Yelp
Nice place down in old town. Large selection of beer and a nice outdoor space that is dog friendly. Good amount of GF options with the exception of no GF beer. The bartender said the beer was gluten reduced but was not willing to risk it unless they knew how little gluten was in there which would be appropriate. My husband did enjoy the large beer selection to try! Since it was happy hour we tried the spare ribs with Dr pepper sauce. While they looked good they were wayyyy to salty to eat. For the main course we were really happy with our sausages. We tied a polish dog and the goat/lamb curry dog whihx was our favorite! The sides of onion jam and relish along with the fries were also delicous.
google avatar

Jasleen K.

Yelp
Came here for a goodbye happy hour and was DEF impressed! The service was on point and the server knew what beers I should try and nailed it with his recommendations! They also have fun games and a huge outdoor patio, and also have lots of food too! Gave it a 4/5 because the hot dogs (brats) weren't that great, but the brewery and atmosphere was awesome!
google avatar

Dee P.

Yelp
The owner contacted us and this was resolved immediately. I will return for another visit and I know the owners passion for his business will be welcomed! Thank you for caring.
google avatar

Yelp
Checked out the Brat Haus tonight for dinner. Had the Haus Brat w/ kraut, relish, and onions. Overall decent, in both taste and size. Might go with the pig burger next time. German potato salad was a different take on the dish, and I would have liked a more authentic dish. Overall service was excellent. Greeted warmly by the staff, and taken care of during my visit. Great beer selection! Great atmosphere too. Good place to bring a group of friends to hang out and eat and drink.
google avatar

Reiner M.

Yelp
Good atmosphere and decent , German draft selection. I like the beer garden in the yard. It's more a fusion kinda place. If you like the American version of a brat shack, you got one here.
google avatar

Larry L.

Yelp
Great vibe, we sat outside under the mist fan. Felt good, we got the pretzel and cheese and the sausage sampler. Very tasty and everyone was very friendly. The service was great. You just did! Not many owners take the time to acknowledge a great review. Thanks so much and hope to see you soon.

Jacquelyne N.

Yelp
Visited Brat Haus on a Friday evening. It has a large, dog friendly, outdoor patio with misters. There are multiple seating options from Adirondack chairs, to large high-top tables to regular tables. It's good for small and large groups alike. I ordered the brat board and French fries. Both were great. I got the truffle aioli and chipotle dipping sauce for the fries, and enjoyed both. They bring out a basket of mustards and such for the brats. The shining star here was the Curry Ketchup. It was so yummy.

Yelp
went during the day on a Saturday, lots of nearby, parallel parking. We got in no problem, didn't have a reservation, and were greeted with very friendly staff. When we sat down, Marisa got our orders quickly And brought us our beer flight. I loved the sour and the hazy IPA with pineapple! They have a huge variety of beers. Very fun vibe, there is a ping-pong table, cornhole, a fun little taco and tequila area in the back, they have heaters, which is great in the winter when it gets a little chillier. The buffalo cheese curds were pretty impressive, I haven't had great cheese curds here and these were probably one of the better ones! Coming from the midwest, I have high standards for curds :P. the best flight was fun with spicy, sweet, and house brats!! salad was refreshing and we had a great time!! highly recommend if you are bringing the family or a dog! Lots of dogs here, and it was a great spot!

Our waitress was so sweet. The pretzel bites & cheese were a 4/5. The beer was great. I got a cider (can't remember which) it was super empty which we loved!! We played corn hole and had so much fun
