"A down-to-earth pub, just the way we like them! Part of the Bitburger Brewery, this place has an attractive decor of solid wooden tables (no tablecloths here!), walls decorated with pictures, and modern details that foster a pleasantly lively atmosphere. The charming team serves home-style regional dishes, as well as more sophisticated options. Cordon bleu with Eifelschwein pork and "Ōra King salmon – tartare & fried" whet the appetite. The inexpensive dish of the day is popular with the lunchtime crowd. You can also spend the night in one of the spruce guestrooms." - Michelin Inspector

JOP-TRIP

Spent 2 nights at this hotel in Bitburg in late Dec. ||It is attached to the well known brewery in town and is an attractive old building. There are a limited number of rooms that were located on the second floor of the building. Our room was very spacious and attractively appointed with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was located off of the little entrance hall into the room away from the bedroom area. The room faced the front street but noise was not an issue.||It would have been nice if robes and slippers had been supplied and some added toiletries in the bathroom other than basic soap. Also no kleenex was found in the room or bathroom but was eventually supplied to us after a couple of requests. We did have bottled water for our use upon arrival. If some of these other amenities could have been available it would just have made the hotel that much better because all the potential is there to offer a more upscale product.||There is a very good restaurant in the hotel and we enjoyed 2 excellent dinners. There were attractive Christmas decorations to enjoy and my only complaint is that there is a smoking area for diners that is a complete separate room next to the non smoking section, however the door between these rooms was never closed by the staff during the dining hours. |This kind of defeats the purpose of having separate sections when smoke can drift into the NS side. It would require some added effort on the part of the staff close the door when walking back and forth between rooms to service the tables, but it would be appreciated.||The breakfast included in the room rate was very basic ( continental ) and could be improved with a little more variety especially with the baked goods presented. |The guests would let the staff know the night before what time they would like breakfast and it would be in place at the specified time. ||Overall a good accommodation.

Same as others here. Food is really good, but they are incredibly slow and understaffed. 1h from order to getting the food, waitresses would not even look at tables to check if you need anything for 10+ minutes (not even going to our area). Food is very good, beer is quite expensive compared with anywhere else

Why 3 stars? Because the food is great and the service is not. It took us 2h45 to have dinner for four, mainly because they are severely understaffed. Good Wine List

Stayed at the Simonbrau for 10 days and found room 9 to be quite comfortable. The hotel does NOT offer Internet access nor soap/shampoo. The rooms are made up daily but be sure to ASK the housekeeping staff to replace the towels as they will only be folded up and placed back onto the rack. An iron and ironing board is not in the room but I have been told that one is made available if asked for.||||Parking is available on the SW side of the hotel. The hotel is located in easy walking distance of the Bitburg haupstrasse, the Liebfrauen Catholic Church and the two supermarkets just to the SW of the hotel, Aldi and Edeka.

Very nice hotel and restaurant. Besides the Bitburger brewery. Excellent staff. Great food and Bitburger beer. Ask for the schnitzel. In the very city center. Once you are there, no car is needed.

Little hole in the wall in Bitburg, next to the old brewery. A hotel and restaurant. Excellent schnitzel, try the Jagerschnitzel or Weiner Schnitzel. Average price, our service was fast though.
