"With a ceiling gilded enough to make Versailles jealous, French and Pan-African fusion spot Bread & Butterfly sets the stage for an easy-meets-elegant night out. At just the right size, blue-and-white bistro tables allow couples to lean in close. And a large sunroom catches the early evening sunlight or the soft glow from streetlights after sunset. And if the setting wasn't already impressive, a golden-brown Haitian beef patty lands on your plate like a fluffy, spiced meat pillow. "Bread & Butterfly in Inman Park echoes Paris’ Latin Quarter with its chic blue and white bistro tables, a covered patio lined with hanging plants, and a ceiling artfully adorned in gold like they just won first place in the Fancy Ceiling Olympics. It’s a great set up for a date where you’re motivated to lean in close over excellent dishes, like the hearty ravioli joumou and savory rice and mushroom dish, Djon Djon. The original French breakfast and lunch menu stays familiar to B&B regulars, but dinner now features a fusion of flavors from Haiti (since the chef from the Heritage Supper Club pop-up took over the space in 2023). The pastry is buttery soft and stuffed to the brim with tasty seasoned beef. photo credit: Amy Sinclair Plantain Buns The rolls come out pillowy soft (two giant buns) with sweet cane syrup butter. Haitian Risotto This is similar to the Djon Djon but creamier. It’s good, though not as memorable as the latter. Ravioli Joumou A play on the traditional Haitian soup joumou, this pasta combines hazelnut, squash, and oxtail to create a hearty sweet-savory mix that's worth ordering." - Jacinta Howard

Breakfast and lunch feature solid standards like quiches and tartare, and the dinner menu has a blend of dishes with a focus on Haitian food (since the chef from the Heritage Supper Club pop-up took over the space in 2023).
