Most solidest, rootin tootinest and tastiest Breakfast Burritos I've had in a long while. As a general matter I measure my "like" for a community based solely upon their breakfast burrito offerings. This place knocked it out of the park. Waste, no time. Get here! Super simple selections with huge flavor.

I have a lifetime of loving grilled cheese so you can only imagine my delight in finding Bread & Cheese Eatery! We got takeout yesterday because of time constraints but I was absolutely blown away with my Cali Gold sandwich and Coconut Curry Tomato Soup to dip it in. Beautiful, layered but not too complex flavors, all blending to an exceptional meal!! I'll be back, frequently and with big smiles 💖

I came for grilled cheese, and I got grilled cheese. The cheese pull was amaaaaziiing (attached video was my second pull as i was not expecting such a good cheese pull the first time). Sourdough was toasty and grilled. I should have ordered the tomato soup. Only comment on improvement is that the place smells like cleaning solution... which is good in theory... But the smell is kind of strong for me.

Was looking for a great sandwich place and stumbled on this post on the internet. Saw it had an awesome rating so we decided to try it out. It has the most delicious and creative selection of sandwiches and breakfast burritos. You won’t be disappointed. They have a vast selection of salsas in their salsa bar. Drink selection includes soda, bear, Frappes, cold brews, and a variety of fruit smoothies too. They are known for their grilled cheese sandwiches, but they have many more to choose from. In addition, they offer soups and a great selection of breakfast burritos all day.

A great experience! Delicious food and great atmosphere too. Service with a smile! We had pineapple crush and breakfast burritos with great coffee! Looking forward to coming back for grilled cheese!

an amazing spot!! wonderful clean space, fast service, and the best grilled cheeses around! i loved the vegan grilled cheese and their coconut curry tomato soup is the best thing (especially for dipping grilled cheeses in)! i always try to get grilled cheese when im in the area & i hope they'll open one near santa barbara! added bonus are original bread and cheese cartoon that are going, a fun watch while you're waiting this is a very special spot, i have to come back to try the breakfast burritos next time!

One of my favorite grilled cheese sandwiches ever with pepperoni and the sourdough bread even the fries were great and the ranch and sides of garlic aioli are unbeatable.

Absolutely delicious bomb grilled cheeses, fried cheese curds <3, tomato soup, and breakfast burritos served all day!! We were pleasantly surprised how good all our food was and we devoured everything - will definitely come back here! Not much atmosphere but clean and fine. Friendly cook!!

Finally tried this place on a Sunday and super hungry after church. I had my eye on the turkey melt so I ordered that with only provolone and not Swiss. One cheese is enough for me haha. But once I got it, first bite was like wow! It was cheesy, gooey, and so flavorful! It almost tasted like a pizza with turkey low key. But it was delicious and I was recommended to try the chicken pesto for next time, so I'll be back! The service was chill. Just go up to the counter and make your order with self seating. Not a big restaurant but I felt pretty comfortable eating in. The place is overall unique and pretty cute.

So I was ready to write a bad review but the food is too good for that. The bad first: the prices, the teeny tiny frappe for $7, the pick up service. The good: the sandwiches, omg! On Saturday, on my way to visit my Dad in his assisted living facility and called him to find out what kind of yummy lunch I could bring him. We're originally from the East Coast, so after some real thought (he has Alzheimer's) he said "a Reuben!!" So of course I wanted to get him the best Reuben I could find, and all the lovely Yelpers said this place had the best. I was on the other side of Oceanside, so we ordered by phone and my son asked for a frappe. The total for 3 sandwiches and the frappe was $50. Yikes!! We drove over there and it's not easy to get to, right in Coast Highway and in a busy small strip mall. Luckily there was one parking space so my husband ran in, grabbed everything and we left. On the way to my father's, I asked if he checked that everything was there. He looked in this bag and said, three sandwiches. They forgot the frap. We drove back and I double parked while he ran in. The cashier was unconcerned and said, sorry, and gave him the frap in the freezer. Ummm, that $7 dollar frap was about 8 ounces of nothing special. Grrrr, poor service and overpriced tiny frappe. Ok so the sandwiches were outstanding. Wow! We got the French Onion, the Reuben, and the Burn-a-Nator. Sooooo good. My dad loved his Reuben, authentic, cheesy, very thinly sliced pastrami, garlicky toasted buttered rye. The French Onion was the best sandwich I've had in a long time, and the burn a native was spicy deliciousness. We'll be back, but not for the frap.

Coconut tomato soup was not that good. The vege sausage burrito was decent, filling, a little too one note with regards to flavor and texture. The Salsas were just ok as well, the staff was friendly. Took over 20 minutes to get our food so that wasn't great. The classic grilled cheese was pretty good. Place was clean but smallish in size. I think it's more like 3.5 stars.

Had to come back to try the pastrami breakfast burrito. And it indeed did not disappoint - it just might be the best breakfast burrito I've tried in recent memory! It's loaded with the same pastrami meat that the Reuben has, as well as tots, cheese, and eggs. My favorite item still has to be the sandwich Reuben though, just because I think I slightly prefer that medium - sourdough bread versus the flour tortilla. If it isn't obvious already, their grilled cheeses are to die for. Of course, we order the cheese curds every time we come here as well - those things are addicting!

This place is in a somewhat depressing little strip mall, next to a laundromat, and is somewhat non-descript. Don't let any of that fool you, because what it lacks in eye-appeal and comfort, it more than makes up for it with the delicious food and great, friendly service. Menu is somewhat limited, but promises to soon expand a tiny bit by adding salads and a few other options. We didn't try them, but they offer Nitro coffee, both cold and hot, and some great sounding breakfast options that are not served all day, but look worth visiting again for. The soup is absolutely delicious and should not be missed. My wife had The Classic and loved it, and I had the Reuben, which was SO good. My only complaint would be that it could use a little more pastrami. Still, so good! Drop in for the definition of Comfort Food!

New to the South Oceanside dinner scene is BREAD & CHEESE EATERY and it's exactly what you think it is! This dining experience is located within the same establishment as ...And Breakfast Burritos and it opens its menu up at 11:00AM to 11:00PM (hours subject to change). Located on S Coast Hwy, across from Pourhouse, this unique experience offers a variety of different flavor options for their take on a grilled cheese sandwich. Flavors like : * Vegan * Classic * pizza style * Reuben , pastrami & sauerkraut * pepperjack & habanero relish * turkey , Sun-dried tomato & balsamic reduction * Add on their coconut curry soup and their fries are delicious too. They also serve wine & beer and their famous pineapple crush which is made fresh in-house. Their menu is reasonably priced and it's a novel and fun dining experience that is the variety we need in South Oceanside. Their interior decor has character and I love that they even created anime cartoons to watch on the TVs. Although it is rather small inside, there's some tables for group seating and it's good for that "sit-down and eat quick" vibes. Their bathroom is also spotless Overall, I loved the concept of having a breakfast burrito spot that can dish out food quickly for those morning orders. In the morning, this establishment DOUBLES as a breakfast burrito shop that has fast service to get you up and out! Brilliant concept!! Overall, I find BREAD AND CHEESE EATERY is nice addition to the South Oceanside dining scene.

Cutie little eatery in Oceanside, I think would be perfect to go if you were going somewhere close. Nobody wants a soggy grilled cheese! We came here and decided on a breakfast burrito and I am happy to say I've found my new spot!! So delicious, the eggs were cooked perfectly, the salsas on the side are yummy. I believe one of them was chipotle, it was delicious. The place is clean and cute, not the most seating so be aware of that. The guy who took our order was nice and he remembered a couple regulars while we were in which was nice to see. Next up we'll try a grilled cheese :)

The is a must go spot when in the Oceanside area of San Diego. They serve breakfast food but also epic grilled cheese sandwhiches, which they are most known for. The grilled cheese I got was literally the best I've had yet. It had a garlic spin to it and was so warm, toasty and cheesy it melted in my mouth, you can also add things in it and I got bacon which was so good. I still think heavily about it! I hope they open one in Los Angeles someday :)

Tried this place for the first time. Found the place to be nice, bright and very clean. Immediately greeted by a friendly employee upon entering. We ordered the Classic, which consisted of two slices of cheese (cheddar & provolone) on a grilled garlic sourdough and the Turkey Delight, which was provolone and swiss with turkey, sun dried tomato spread and arugula on a balsamic reduction grilled sourdough. Both sandwiches were good and we're glad we ordered them but we can't say we'll return often. I understand prices are up everywhere but had a really hard time paying $9.50 for the classic grilled cheese and $13.50 for the turkey sandwich. Neither of them came with a side. It would have been another $4.00 for fries. We were too cheap for that. As I said, it was good and I'd recommend others give it a try.

I've been wanting to bring my little in a grilled cheese for quite some time, so I took the opportunity, yesterday, to treat her, seeing I suck at making grilled cheese sandwiches..lol. I know, I know it's not that hard, but mine simply never came out right, and now I have a place, as my excuse, to drop money to take the reigns in that department. Staff was super welcoming, and my child absolutely loved her kids meal as she sat and devoured her lunch. This place has earned our thumbs up for friendly staff, clean establishment, and delicious nostalgic meals.

Food was as expected--cheesy and greasy. Service was excellent. Restaurant was small but modern and clean.

I have been wanting to check this place out for a while. I was so hungry since I did not eat anything that morning. When I walked up I was not sure if this place was open since the door was closed. Luckily they were, there was a big group of people in there so it seemed very busy. When the cashier- a very young man- finally contacted me he kinda snapped he needs 5 minutes. I was debating on leaving since the greeting was frantic and not warm and I was not sure if it would take longer than 5 minutes. More people were lining up behind me too. I asked for his recommendation and he shared the Bacon Burrito was a good one so that is what I went with! The cashier eventually took my order, he was quick to ring me up but I said I wanted and OJ, too. He seemed to snap is there anything else. Anyways, the wait was not too bad. I wanted to eat there but with the door closed the sound was loud from the bigger group and the setaing area felt crammed. Anyways, the burrito itself was bomb. It is hard to describe but the flavors kinda melted together so nicley. It didnt feel too heavy or anything. It was a good size too, I was wondering if it would be a smaller size but nope it was good! The Red Salsa was really good and sweet but spicy. Next time, I will see if I can order online or by phone to reduce the wait and any weird vibes from the staff. I really wanted to get the Pineapple Drink but expected it to be pricey since it seems like it is made fresh to order.

I decided to treat myself to a classic sandwich and see if it is possible to buy a better grilled cheese than I make. The answer is yes, which surprised me. I ordered a classic with bacon and my friend ordered the classic with grilled onions, both styles on sourdough. The results were delicious! Highly recommend.

We stopped for lunch. The sandwiches were huge, cheesy and yummy. I think the star of the show is Justin, the owner who took very good care of us. The restaurant is small but new, modern and clean. Parking in a lot is a big plus!

While at the Moonlight Amphitheater in 2023, we tried the grilled cheese and were very impressed. Rich, gooey and large enough to share, if a bit pricey. This week we tried the pulled pork sandwich. While tasty, the portions are vey small, the coleslaw almost nonexistent and the white bread bun was soggy. Way overpriced but I guess that's what we expect now. Conveniently located inside the Amphitheater gives them extra points, but doubt that we'd ever order that again. 4 stars for grilled cheese and convenience. That pulled pork sandwich was a disaster.

The food was interesting and good. The dining room was super small and uncomfortable. However, the staff was warm and inviting.

Personally speaking, I think I make the best grilled cheese. I may be a little biased, but I still don't think I'm wrong. When someone says they have the "world's best" it immediately makes me curious. Now...I've been waiting for a LONG time to try these sandwiches out but every time I looked at And Breakfast Burritos page, it says they close at 11:30. I thought BUT WHEN DO THEY SERVE THE GRILLED CHEESES! I'm not proud to admit that I just realized And Breakfast Burritos stops at 11:30 and becomes Bread and Cheese for the duration of the day. Ok, now that we have that settled... We stopped in for a quick pre-dinner snack, just to see how they stand up and I must say, these are some tasty grilled cheese. We just wanted to check them out so we only got the Classic. Absolutely delicious, classic grilled cheese on sourdough. You can't miss with the Classic. I'm a FOOL for a good Reuben so I know that's what I'll be getting on my next visit. And the coconut curry tomato soup on the menu is calling my name like a siren song. That's absolutely going to be ordered next time I come in. I haven't tried it yet, but I can already taste it. Drop in and check them out for a simple but excellent example of how you make a proper grilled cheese sandwich.

Great new place in South O. We tried "The Classic", tomato soup, & the Pineapple Crush smoothie. The Grilled cheese was great but the soup stood out! Very unique with the coconut curry twist. Loved the smoothie. They also serve local beers & canned spirits. We will definitely be back to try the breakfast burrito!

This was a religious experience. I had the basic grilled cheese, and there's nothing basic about it. The garlic grilled sourdough just gave it that extra oomph, and the stringy melty cheese...*chef's kiss* 10/10 would recommend

I found this grilled cheese and soup eatery on yelp when I was doing laundry and I needed something for dinner while my clothes were drying. It was so good I can hardly wait to go. they have a good selection of wine everything is made to order and from scratch the manager, Jack was outstanding and you could feel his pride in his place of work and the service and food quality.! Their other location is at the moon

Worlds best grilled cheese? Who knows. What i do know is that its a damn good sandwhich. Forsure a guilty pleasure as its slatured in grease. But thats what a good grilled cheese is. Cocunut curry tomato soup... yeah thats a huge W. Fries, well done and tastey. Curds, def not from wisconsin but doable. The pinapple crush was a nice refresher during a greasy salty meal. 5/5 would recommend.

The location is a 5, the staff/service is a 5 and the ambiance/dining area is a 5. The food is a 4 and the biggest issue that brings my rating to a 3 is the price for the portion size is too much. You could get a full meal for the price we paid for a grilled cheese and a drink.

Went here for breakfast. Small staff and interesting approach with rotating sign for afternoon sandwiches. Sausage burrito was flavorful and large . The homemade hot sauce was a perfect compliment. Food was very fresh and made to order. Small staff means you will have to be patient. It is worth the wait. It would be nice if they had hot coffee , but the cold brew choice was wonderful. Parking is silly tight. Side street parking is best. Big improvement over the subway and deli that used to be at this location. Decent space and very clean. Could use some jazz or 80s music . Try it you'll like it!!!

The food was delicious and I instantly became obsessed with their pineapple smoothie the service was amazing and the environment was all good vibes. The owner made sure we were taken care of and was very attentive. Definitely will be back to try the breakfast burritos

There are many places that you can get a breakfast burrito in Oceanside, but not many of those burritos you can get with tots!!! Such a delicious bonus to an already delicious burrito! I went with the sausage one with time but will definitely be checking out the other flavors they have. Also got the Pineapple Crush, such a refreshing drink. Total bonus that when I picked up the order the two staff members were super friendly and cheerful.

Happened upon this fun new restaurant that not only serves amazing grilled cheeses and soups but also does breakfast burritos in the morning! It's super clean and so freaking cool inside! Will absolutely be coming back to try the burritos and plan to come for lunch often. Service was great and we look forward to heading back soon.

Owners and staff are a 5! So friendly and eager to help, quite endearing! Ambiance is a 5! Bright and cheery in the dining room, love the design and colors, etc. Food is a 4! I had the soup/sandwich combo... Turkey Delight, the coconut curry tomato soup and of course, added the cheese curds. Sammy was super flavorful, not too much cheese, would order again in house. Bumped down a point because it was take out and by the time I got home (7 minute drive) the bread was fairly soggy. I'd imagine since the dining area is pretty small, many will get delivery or take out. Note to mgmt to either vent the boxes or use less butter/spread to prevent the dreaded sog. Coconut/Tom Curry Soup was nice n warm & flavorful as well - would love an option of just tomato soup, no coconut, etc. but I'd order this again! Curds were crispy, just enough batter, could use a tad more cheese as a few were somewhat empty. Very tasty tho and the dipping sauce was delightful! I'll definitely be back to try more! Really want to try out the Pineapple Crush, sounds amazing!

Tried the breakfast burrito with pastrami, and a pineapple crush smoothie. The perfect blend of sweet and savory! The burrito was huge and delicious- egg, cheese and garlic tots mixed together with a layer of pastrami. Don't forget to try the green salsa with it. They were slammed busy this morning, but the service was fast and the employees were friendly and you could tell they enjoyed their job. The place is small, super clean and cheerful. Looking forward to going back to try the gourmet grilled cheese sammies next!

This place's breakfast burritos are my absolute favorite although I had a couple hairs in a burrito one time I let it slide because I completely understand mistakes and accidents happen but weeks later it happened again and there were more hairs in my burrito:( I love this place just maybe wear a hairnet to whoever is handling the burritos in the morning. I want to give this place another chance for how good they are

Lovely family-friendly joint for an easy outing with littles. They have cute cartoons playing while you wait. I love their coconut tomato soup to pair with their grilled cheese

my burrito was really good. services was great. food came out quickly. it was a bit pricey but the burrito was big. They have options and the aesthetic inside was very cute. wish this place had a nicer location outside because i wouldn't have gone based on outside location.

I don't really tend to make reviews on the restaurants I go to but i honestly felt that this place deserves some recognition for their craftsmanship. I had quite literally the BEST grilled cheese in the world! The food, service and atmosphere was all amazing! and I highly recommend the pineapple smoothie! I have yet to try the breakfast burritos but I can only imagine how great those will be! 10/10 would recommend this place! Please just do yourself a favor and just drop by once. You will find that once you have one of their sandwiches, you'll never look at grilled cheese sandwiches the same again! If there is any "down side" I'd have to say that the pricing is a bit on the higher side BUT the food is of the highest quality and that is what you're paying for. I love this place!!

I have eaten here twice. The first time was shortly after it opened and I had a Classic grilled cheese sandwich that was quite good. The second time was very recently. I had a chicken pesto sandwich prepared by a guy with long dark hair. While I waited, a young female employee petted my dog. She washed her hands before returning to work behind the counter. I thought it was excellent that she observed proper hygiene. Then my sandwich came. It tasted great. But about halfway through it I found a long dark hair in the middle of the sandwich. Not a health hazard but pretty gross nonetheless. So would I go back? Maybe if the employees start wearing hair nets.

Went this morning and got the pastrami breakfast burrito. The guy up front was so nice and friendly, even gave me a sample of the smoothie they have, which was delicious. The burrito was huge and very good. We will be back!

Great food we had the Rueben the double trouble burrito with sausage and bacon and the cheese curds and it was all amazing, great clean atmosphere, along with great friendly staff, it was all great, only thing is I wish the Rueben came with mustard.

bacon surprise breakfast burrito, added avocado and it was PERFECT. jalapeño lime salsa was good. good size, tortilla was soft and not a busted greasy mess. i'll be back for more!

Wow! Our first time here. The Reuben is mind blowing good. Sadie Rose bread for us foodies is a plus. The coconut curry tomato soup is sooooo good! The service was super efficient and friendly. We will be back for sure!!!
