Okay, Bread and Chocolate has some pretty tasty pastries! This was my second time coming here on the weekend, so I was expecting there to be a line, but lo and behold, NO LINE! The cafe itself was pretty busy, but my friend and I were able to get our pastries and find a table with no problems. The first time I came here, I got a cinnamon roll, but this time I wanted to try something new.
As I eyed the case to peruse my options, a few things caught my eye. When it comes to pastries anything strawberry, blueberry, raspberry- basically any BERRY will win my heart and stomach haha! I couldn't settle on just one, so I decided to get the raspberry croissant and blueberry scone. The scone was huge and beautifully drizzled with icing. The inside was- forgive me for using this word- *moist* and not too sweet. The raspberry croissant was like a danish and a croissant had a baby. It was a croissant filled with raspberry jam and cream cheese and OMG it was heaven! Heaven on a sugar high, to be exact. The croissant was light and buttery and the filling hit me as if sugar could slap you in the face! It was good, but honestly, I would have been happy with half the croissant. The whole thing was just way too much and too sweet, so I would recommend sharing this, or saving it for later. Luckily, I also ordered a latte that helped me wash the sweetness down a little easier.
The atmosphere was bustling, as patrons were coming and going. It would be a nice spot to work, on weekdays, but its pretty busy on the weekends.
