We had an amazing time here, both food and service were great! We had a Negroni, aperol margarita and limoncello+strawberry cocktail (this one is perfect for those who don’t want a very strong drink). And enjoyed all of the cocktails. We also had a truffle pizza which was great, it was the first time I ate a pizza crust in years, no kidding. For mains we had a tortellini pasta which was our favorite (the peas just add so much freshness to it) and also a bolognese and spaghetti with burrata which were great too. Also there was live music when we visited on a Saturday night. Definitely recommended :)

What an amazing hidden gem! Made easy reservations, walked into a quaint and beautiful restaurant with two amazing staff. Drinks were creative, aperol margarita, and the food was some of the best Italian I’ve had! The bolognese sauce was hearty in meat with pine nuts, the chicken Parmesan was not only tasty with a twist of Alfredo sauce but a large portion fried just right! So happy!

The food was delicious and the ambiance was wonderful. Cocktails were tasty. We couldn’t get enough of the Brussels sprout salad. All of the pasta dishes were cooked to perfection. For a Saturday night, it wasn’t busy and we loved our experience. Would 12/10 return.

An intimate space with a welcoming staff, live music, and incredible food. The menu was the perfect size, offering classic Italian dishes with just enough tweaks to the ingredients to make the flavors pop, as well as fun appetizers I haven't experienced before. Cocktails were crafted beautifully and the options all seemed worth trying. The staff was so darn sweet, and the musician was lovely playing both Italian and 90s hits to switch it up with their accordion. The icing on the cake was when we inquired about a dessert liquor to pair with their pies to end the night. With nothing specific on hand, the bartender went out of his way to make us a special concoction from what was available. It was basically a dessert on its own that I could have sipped all night. Please add that to the menu! Can't wait to come back and bring some friends.

I just had the most wonderful experience at Bread and Stone! From the door the owners to the our waiter Carlos was extraordinary! Let me talk about the food hands down Excellent! The entertainment was such a delight as we were serenaded at our table! The Food was Excellent! This is now my favorite restaurant. Thank you to my Unicorn for a memorable evening!🥰

Fantastic experience - great food, great service, great vibes all around. Had the espresso martini & bolognese - both amazing, and the service from Chris was attentive and friendly. Would definitely come back!

Hands down favorite place in NYC!! Chris the bartender & Cameron the GM were amazing! Chris was the greatest entertainment and conversation we had in nyc and Cameron was such a great manager to get cool with. Great atmosphere as well!

We went to Bread and Stone after seeing it on DevourPower as the food looked amazing. And it did not disappoint. But what was even better was the service provided by Chris. He added another level of personality and professionalism to the evening that made it one to remember. After dinner we moved to the bar and had more drinks. We had the chicken parm Alfredo, the focaccia and the tomato burrata and all were five stars.

I live nearby, so eventually, I was going to try this place. And there was no other night I would have wanted to experience it: my hair was frizzy, my outfit was subpar, it was rainy and past 8 PM, and I wasn't craving anything in particular. I knew it could go either way: I would discover an Italian hidden gem in NYC, and the reason it's always empty is solely because they are new and have poor marketing skills. OR they just have no chance competing in the NYC Italian scene. Unfortunately, it was the latter. The restaurant was empty, as it typically is. The focaccia was good, and the bolognese was fine (the meat was so clearly ground meat, and the sauce was even a bit watery). Considering how many great options there are for Italian food in NYC, this just wasn't good. The staff is kind, but I really can't believe they are charging $30 for a bowl of bolognese, where the pasta isn't even homemade, and they are nowhere near being a Sant Ambroeus.

Food: Very delicious, hot, and pretty good portions. Their appetizers are a must try. The bread itself, very delicious, warm, with a slightly sweet butter. The drinks - so good, they're on the strong side but the flavor shines through, so no complaints! One of the best cocktails I've tried. Service: Great! Our waiter was so kind and attentive. Ambiance: They have a live singer/accordion player (not sure if all days or only on weekends) and she was soo good! The place is on the smaller side, but it makes it feel cozy. If you are looking for a cute dinner w your significant other - this is your place!

Italian food has always had a special place in my heart and stomach, and Bread & Stone does it amazingly delicious! Came here on a Thursday, when I know they have a guitar/singer-songwriter and sat at the bar. The space is cozy and very cool and the singer was FANTASTIC! She didn't even need a mic! The bartender was so nice and made one of the better negroni's I've had! He asked if I wanted the house negroni or a regular one and the house negroni was the move - highly recommend. The food was stupendous. Brussel caesar salad with that crispy parm crip, the butternut squash ravioli and the Tartufo di Parmigiano pizza was OUTSTANDING. The salad was crisp and fresh, the brown butter sage on the ravioli was divine, and the pizza was perfection. The crust was perfect and the cook on it was outstanding. I would come back here and probably will! Highly recommend coming on Thursday to also catch that really talented singer who said shes in most Thursdays and takes requests!

Says open on google/yelp. Walked all the way over and they're closed! Terrible. Very disappointed and was looking forward to it.

Bread and Stone is a charming new establishment located within the East Village two months young. Upon arrival we were immediately greeted by the affable bartender who connected us with attentive Carlos to take care of us at a table in the back. Walking through the narrow space with warm lightning and soothing decor amply garnished with holiday furnishings felt like a veritable hug! Carlos with his genuine smile and genteel manner was so lovely throughout the evening! He kept our water glasses full, let us mull over the menu, expertly served our food, quickly supplied cutlery as needed and waited for us to request the check never once rushing us - my friend and I ended up closing the place so you know we sincerely enjoyed ourselves! Now to talk about the food, I was suitably impressed!! We sampled the pizza fritta (deconstructed fried pizza appetizer), focaccia con marmellata (served warm with rosemary toasted pistachio apricot jam, herbed honey butter, and house garlic confit), margherita pizza, Penne Alla vodka (made with Absolute vodka), and brown sugar bourbon pecan pie. The fried pizza dough blew my mind - so soft and fluffy, it could have been a donut pizza! I was very grateful the sauce was so well balanced as far too often I'm served too acidic sauces at other venues. I especially loved the jam that came with the focaccia as I was drawn to its perfect sweetness level, but the herbed honey butter and garlic confit were uniquely delicious as well! The penne served with garlic bread was incredible! Fresh pasta, hefty portion, delicately flavored vodka sauce and toasted prosciutto. Hmm, hmm, hmm! The pecan pie was a cute little mini pie served with vanilla gelato. Not only was all the food great, but they have snappy accordion music playing live! The talented performer played old school Italian music, music of the 2000s, and even holiday classics such as Dominick the Italian Christmas Donkey! A fun night out on the town is pretty much guaranteed at this new cool hotspot!

Had a fantastic dinner here. The truffle pizza was absolutely delicious and made a perfect starter to share. The penne pasta was yummy, as was the tortellini. The cocktails were perfect and the service was friendly and prompt. Really a perfect evening. I look forward to returning soon! Ps. I had no idea there was live music. She was wonderfully talented! So Sorry i forgot her name.

This place is great, and the food is just fantastic... not to mention the pasta, the desserts. And the accordian player is legit awesome, to take any song request under the sun! Pasta is wonderful, as is the service. They have been so welcoming to the neighborhood, which is alone a wonderful reason to support this East Village spot.

I recently dined at this new charming Italian restaurant, and it was an absolute delight. The cozy ambiance created the perfect setting for a memorable date night. The highlight was undoubtedly their exceptional pizza - a true taste of Italy with each bite. While reveling in the delightful experience, I couldn't help but think that expanding the menu to include more gluten-free options (even gluten free pasta or risotto) would make this culinary haven even more inclusive. Carlos was a fantastic server, he made the night out even better!

Small place with friendly service. The live accordion music is unique and fun! Food is overall sweet-the margarita pizza crust and sauce is sweet, the penne alla vodka is also sweet. The bread that comes with the pasta is sweet-it could use a sprinkle of salt. We loved the brussel sprout app but it is also in a sweet sauce-it needs some acid to offset the sweetness-fortunately the parmesan crisp provided a salty texture change. Cocktails are innovative and you'll pay $18+ for them. Not sure if this place wants to be a cocktail bar or a restaurant but we had a nice experience.

The food and drinks here are great! I had a negroni which tasted fantastic, and my girlfriend had a strawberry drink that she really liked as well. Their thin crust pizza is SO good, and the fettuccini Alfredo and gnocchi with pesto were good too. The bartender and chef were very welcoming and friendly. We will definitely be coming back!

Happened upon Bread and Stone and ended up getting dinner. Very friendly staff, well crafted cocktails, and delicious pastas. Loved the butternut squash ravioli. Cozy atmosphere with entertaining live music.

A HIT!! The absolutely BEST pizza I have ever had and we didn't come for pizza. Four of us enjoyed appetizers and pasta. We pulled in here on Saturday night. Acoustic guitar player/singer made it a fun night. Out of this world.

The best! Food, atmosphere, Accordian player, all of it. Top to bottom the best Italian food experience ever.

This new spot just opened, but the cocktails are delicious. I'll have to come back to try the food!

Great evening here - big party treated well. Nice vibe, relaxed & cool. We all ordered pasta dishes - I had bolognese which was great, tried my kids gnocchi which was even better! Nice house wine too. Would come back for sure!
