Great overall phenomenal… however I think they use a bit too much green food coloring on their 7 layers… I was shitting green for a whole day after. 2nd time this has happened to me with the 1st being when I got the 7 “layer cake from DeCicco’s & Son

We used Bread Plus for our wedding rehearsal dinner cake and got strawberry shortcake. It was the most delicious cake! & it was beautiful! EVERYONE at the party loved it and was asking where it was from. I have guests still talking about it! It is now my favorite cake and I can't wait to have it again!

We ordered a last minute wedding cake from Bread Plus. At first I was a little bummed because given the time constraints we could only do a vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream and a lemon curd. I’m not much of a cake person to begin with and vanilla is low on my favorite flavors list. But god was I wrong. This was the best cake I have ever had in my life and I still dream about it. The cake itself was so moist and airy. The buttercream was not too sweet. And the lemon curd was the perfect bit of brightness. The staff was also very helpful in turning this out under such a tight timeline. 10/10 would recommend.

For the past few years we have gotten all our cakes, pastries here. What an exceptional job they do. Not only do their cakes look beautiful, they taste delicious. Definitely a must try if you have not already.

I just ate the piece of the most awesome apple crumble pie my co-worker brought from Bread Plus for today's Thanksgiving lunch at work. It is so delicious I'm going to stop by after work to get this pie for a weekend getaway. Super happy about this finding. Thank you so much Bread Plus!

I bought some loaves of bread from this Italian bakery years ago while staying at an Airbnb nearby. I never forgot its chewy texture and yeasty aroma. On my recent trip to NYC, I made it back to this shop, and holy guacamole- the very flavorful grilled chicken Caprese sandwich was such a mind-blower! I could taste the wholehearted freshness in the bread and the grilled chicken, and the firm yet airy bread made my day again. The Zeppole pastry was also amazing. I also really liked the staff girl’s no-nonsense style of service. Like, she answered all my questions in a very succinct way, and she helped me prepare and pack the food in such a generous and efficient fashion. She then engaged in no unnecessary small talk, just providing great service. Hahah I really loved how New York City that whole experience was. Now I wish I were a Brooklynite and could visit this cozy, neighborly, and purely amazing Italian bakery on a regular basis.

This is SERIOUSLY the best bakery in the area. Every single thing you can tell is made by someone that loves what they do. Hard to find that quality these days. The sandwiches are DELICIOUS and FRESH. Bagels. Dream cakes. Cinnamon buns. Pizza. Italian bread. I can’t go there without spending $40-50 on a variety of goodies. Go!!! Seriously, it’s life-changing good.

Excellent desserts at bread plus. They're popping up everywhere. Breads, small pizzas, cannoli, 7 layer cannoli cake, coffee and cheeses.

I gotta try any bakery's cannolis if I'm in the area, and I gotta say, this place's cannolis look pretty spot on with the candied fruit on top and the cannoli cream that looks fresh. Taste wise though, honestly I think they're just okay. The cream isn't as smooth as I would have thought and it's not very sweet either. The shell is a little soggy as well so overall, just an okay cannoli. The oreo cake I got as well is a little lackluster. No real Oreo flavor at all, even though there's so much of it baked it, I can't taste any of it. I got a few other things on other visits like their sandwiches or one of their big filled cookies and most of them are just fine, nothing really great about them though which is a letdown. Overall, a pretty run of the mill bakery.

Ordered 2 cakes for two special occasions and they were both great! Fresh ingredients and done just right! Their sfogliatelle are also some of the best I've tasted! Def recommend

Bread Plus has coffee in different flavors. In the morning, I brought a XL cup of pignoli one for $2.75. It tastes exactly like the actual cookies. I went there later at 4pm to get buy another cup; unfortunately, they were sold out. My friend brought cupcakes to celebrate Easter and I had one; it was quite moist inside. If you looking to buy a cake or pastries to celebrate a special occasion, I highly recommend this place. The cakes are beautifully decorated.

Bread Plus Bakery this place is amazing! Sent email attached a picture of what I had I had in mind. In less the an hour someone called me we went over all the details and it was a yes, we can do it for you. The person I spoke to was very helpful, answered all my questions within 11 mins everything was completed. Chocolate and vanilla cake with cannoli cream filling. Results were above and beyond. UPDATE: Ive been stopping here nearly daily for lunch. You got to try their hero's and pizza. The hero's and paninis are made on their bread that's made here. Not many places can claim that. Pro tip, if they ask to press it you press it. The pizza here is some of the lightest pizza I've had. The Sicilians squares are huge but light with a nice crisp. Always fresh and could give a pizzeria a run for their money. Give their standard Sicilian square and upside down square a try.

Great they have mostly everything. Breads n cakes are amazing. They have food. Sandwiches, small pizzas. Wish is was a little cheaper , these types of place .... Their prices have sky rocketed so it's special occasion n treat other then that I personally do not go as much as I did. If you do it's a good place enjoy

The best bakery in the neighborhood if not the entire south Brooklyn. A tiny place and service can be a bit better, but their bread and cakes are almost always fresh and delicious.

I had not been here as a customer for a long time. I was heading to a friends birthday party and I said I would bring the cake. Went in for a strawberry short cake, see prior review, I glowed about this cake, and this time purchased one of their chocolate strawberry short cakes. The cake had just a tiny hint of tasting chocolate. I don;;t think the whip cream was real whip cream. The strawberries were covered in some canned 'something' and the strawberries themselves were not ripe. This was an expensive cake. It was disappointing. Driving home after the party, I stopped at Shoprite supermarket on Ave I and McDonald and for $ 12.00 purchased a small chocolate strawberry short cake, labelled 'store made' and it was simply fresh, with real whipped cream, good strawberries and a real taste of chocolate. Recently ordered from Breadplus they have the best food the best sandwiches always fresh. The owner is so kind and very talented to make amazingCakes. If you're having a party and you are looking to order from Breadplus, you will never be disappointed. They are amazing.

I'm probably one of the few who's late on this breadplus place. Yes; I know I've been missing out. It's a cute corner store that I did not know that can be filled with so much delicious food. When I ask my coworkers what's good here? They say "everything." I was also told the pizza and rolls are must get. So I decided to stop and try a sausage and pepper roll, cannolis, bread, and pizza dough. So far in all my visits, it had not disappoint. The rolls weren't bad but next time I have to try their pizza. Bread was good , I've made some real good sandwiches from it.

Amazing fresh bread and mini pizzas. A hole in the wall kind of a bakery shop but so full of variety and quality fresh goodies. Besides the aforementioned fresh breads and pizzas there are various type of cookies, pastries, Easter baskets, and etc. I think they close at 9 pm daily. I know I will be back soon. This is a definite must stop for inexpensive, yummy bakery goodies.

This is the 4th year in a row I have ordered my son's birthday cake from Bread Plus and they NEVER disappoint! They always look good and taste good - this year we went with chocolate cake and chocolate mousse and it was absolutely delish. I sent them a picture of what I wanted and they made it come to life. The best!

The manager Joe has no idea what a cookie cake should look like. I ordered a heart shaped cookie cake for my daughters 21st birthday. What I got was a bunch of round cookies put together in a shape of a heart like a pull away cookie with icing. I am so upset. He was disrespectful to me in the phone when I called to discuss. I was charged $125 dollars for 10 cookies with icing on top. The manager could have apologized but he told me that I probably do this everywhere I go. Nasty Human. I will never use this bakery again. No customer service.

Best cheesecake I've ever tried in brooklyn.. creamy and delicious, worth every penny. The people who work here are very nice and kind. I absolutely love this place. They also make amazing pizza.

You will definitely smell this place in the morning from blocks away. Great fresh baked bread daily. Bagels are hot and fresh in the morning. They have an assortment of bread, rolls, bagels, muffins, cookies, cakes, pizzas and much more.

Simply outstanding, made all the way from Long Island just to try this bakery and I'm glad I did, this isn't just your traditional bakery they have sandwiches pizzas rolls hot soup mini drinks, Vinny the owner is an absolute gentleman, and the ladies behind the counter were very attentive outstanding polite and patient, there was a line going out the door and I know why the Saint Joseph pastries and all the pastries and cookies and muffinsSimply delicious fresh tasty, and the bread is also Terrific, If you happen to be in the neighborhood please stop by you won't regret it,

Almost everyone that works here acts like they are doing you a favor by taking your money. The snob factor of this place is terrible. The baked goods aren't all that impressive either.

This place is an absolute must ! 52 years in Brooklyn and I never knew about it. What a selection of goodies. Everything looks super fresh and delicious. The eggplant roll is pure FIRE!!! Go go go.

Place is small and busy in general. Fresh baked goods, great desserts. Personally do not like their pizzas but the sausage rolls and the sandwiches were all on point. Would recommend their cheesecake rolls as well. They are messy but delicious creamy carmelly experience. Canoli was decent. Worth a stop.

Hidden Brooklyn gem! Homemade breads, pastas, pizzas and sweets; I walked in with a notion of ordering a pizza and left with a couple fresh paninis and a focaccia. Neat place here. Would love to take some fresh cannoli shells home :)

Good selection of pastries, bread, sandwiches and pizza, always fresh items. My fav is olives bread and whole wheat pagnotta, as well as their soft rolls. Their pizzette and bacon twist are good too. Prices a bit too high on their pizza squares and the portion is on the small side. A tiny bit friendlier customer service could be a plus

They have in my opinion the best cheesecake in the neighborhood along with the baker. For Christmas I was looking for a cannoli cheesecake but unfortunately they didn't make it or didn't have but the baker Vinny told my husband to wait a few minutes and made one for us ! They also have very lard bread sticks , riceball, and pizza's .

One of the best bakeries in Brooklyn. Vinny, the baker/owner is a great guy who will work with you on your order. The only con is the place is tiny and gets busy quickly. Sometimes people just don't want to move or hog more space than they should.

The store itself is relatively small and the counter space where you order and pay can fit a max of 3 people before elbows start poking you. Personal pizzas are cut up into 4 small slices; each slice is 2-3 bites. Their pastries are reasonably priced. Also available are frozen pasta, sauces, jarred pasta sauces, pre-packaged cookies by the pound, and other small snacks. Easily accessible from the Bay 50th D train station and right by the Bay Ridge bound B64 bus stop.

Due to a friend's suggestion, we've ordered 2 specialty cakes from Bread Plus. They were both gorgeous to look at and tasty to eat. The last cake was an almond cake with raspberry cream filling and omg, my guests could not stop raving. It was absolutely delicious. Thanks to Vinny and his crew. Prices are reasonable and staff is great to work with. Many thanks...will definitely continue to have my cakes made there!

I don't know how I ever missed this place! It is tiny but every inch of space is filled with something delicious. They even sell Queen Anne ravioli and olive oil. Pastries, cakes, danish. Slices of cheesecake and red velvet plus so much more. In front they have personal sized pizzas, and today they even had sandwiches on their Italian bread. I bought a pizza with fresh mozzarella Sunday and went back today for more. Excellent! Go and check them out you won't be sorry!

Okay...so you know how I only write reviews if the restaurant was either REALLY good, or VERY terrible, right?! I used to shrink at the idea of eating a cheesecake with ricotta cheese until I had a slice of Italian Cheesecake from this place. Let me tell you something....Gal Gadot could be walking by while I'm eating a slice of this heavenly feat of gastronomic ingenuity, and I'd never notice! Soooooooo good!!! I'd keep going with the review, but I'm afraid it may get a little expletive. Do yourself a favor. Come down to Bread Plus and grab a slice!!

The food here is beyond fantastic; everything is fresh and delicious. Their personal size pizzas are the perfect size for lunch and you can get one with a variety of toppings. Their chicken rolls and sausage rolls are my other go-to. Also, I can't leave with place without grabbing a few lard prosciutto sticks. I don't have much of a sweet tooth but have tried their cakes and their chocolate chip cookies; both were tasty. The employees are friendly and efficient. However, this place is tiny and it gets beyond packed at times. There have been points where I've walked by and decided not to because just looking inside at the crowd gave me anxiety. Also, it irritates me that they're cash-only. There is zero excuse for an establishment to refuse card in 2016.

I love the French bread with sesame seed. Crunchy outside and soft inside. I can eat them all by itself, but good for sandwiches and for dinner. Workers are very nice and helpful.

This place has the best bread, pastries, sandwiches, pizzas and passuito sticks to dies for. I drive all the way from NJ to shop at this gem of a place. On top of all the wonderful goodies the people who work there are amazing. Keep up the great work.

I ordered a cannoli cake and it was a big hit. It was sooo yummy! It was so fresh and delicious. Bread Plus is my go to for pastry, cakes, bread and other goods.

This is the only place close to my job with decent food. I have gone here for breakfast and lunch and was not disappointed. I have tried the sandwiches which you are allowed to buy half and the pizzas. The desserts are good as well and pretty addictive. The first thing that I ever tried here was the lard bread and it is still one of my favorite things. More recently I have added the garlic knots to things that I love. I wish they took cards as having cash is not always convenient. Delivery would be nice and sometimes the service Is a little slow....

Read reviews on Yelp, before heading out to this pastry shop. It was out of the way for us, as we drove around at night looking for this place. We finally got there after a few twist and turns. The chocolate croissant was sold out, but something else in the cakes display caught my eyes. Got the Pumpkin cheesecake, a strawberry tart, and Yelpers recommendation of the Lobster tail. The pumpkin cheesecake was better than I expected. Pricing is decent compared to Villabate or Remini.

This shop is a jewel. The owners are some one the best people I've had the pleasure of meeting. Their pastries are to die for and they make the best cannolis in the business. Their breads and small focaccia are to die for. Try this place and you will never try anything else.

Fantastic place.I make sure to buy as much as I can when coming from NJ. I started with Cannoli Plus and graduated to Bread Plus. I can't wait to try the restaurant. I especially love the breads and pizza's . The staff is excellent especially when I ask them to wrap everything in foil. My family can't wait to eat the large chicken sandwiches Grazie

I recently tried this establishment after hearing about the seven layer donut and home made pizzas. They were very crowded. The counter help was a bit rude, young girls not savvy in customer service, but I guess pickings are slim these days. The donut, which is more like a mini cake as opposed to a donut, was a bit dry, but tasty and pricey, $5. for one. I didn't try the pizza. I will go back to try the pizza

Today was my first time coming here after my friend kept telling me to check this place out in her neighborhood. The best strawberry cheesecake you could get. It's a big slice with a big strawberry on top with super good whip cream for only $2.75. Cheap and tasty!!

Love coming here. I drive from queens just to buy some bread and drive back home. A full loaf will be eaten entirely by the time I make it home. Sharing of course! It's definitely worth the trip. I continue to come back.
