"While traditional flavors are available, Breadman stepped it up with its namesake, not-so-traditional pastelito flavors. Savor the carne y maduro with beef and sweet plantain, the coco choco with coconut and chocolate, or the Nutella with cream cheese." - Stacy A. Moya

Breadman Bakery is located on 8 Street and 84 Avenue and is our family's favorite bakery in Miami. They have delicious pastelitos (carne, carne & maduro, nutella, cheese, guava, pizza), croquetas, papa rellenas and the best empanadas (chicken, beef, and ham & cheese). When I request a cafe con leche, oscuro, they make it just the way I ask, which I greatly appreciate. I love their cakes and have order 3 cakes from them (I particularly like vanilla & chocolate with custard in the middle). Betty always helps me with my party orders and their staff is wonderful, friendly, and kind. They have a breakfast and lunch menu that features a variety of sandwiches. Prices are a lot more reasonable then other bakeries. Visit them and order to go or eat in. Tables & chairs are available to eat in.

Amazing service and excellent food, everything on the menu is a must try.

I picked up a cuban bread yesterday, and today I opened it and was all messed up. I put it in a bag bc if not it is very known that it will quickly turn into a baseball bat, and today it was nasty. It tasted like old lard and the whole top part fell off! The BTREADMAN and the bread was bad??? Don't reccomend for cuban bread. Not sure about the rest of the stuff but I wouldn't try it if the bread isn't even right.

The pastries are delicious but the cakes not so much a least in my opinion not worth the price it is sold for. The big black party tray is a Bandeja Negra and we got it for $50 and it is great for the office or any gatherings especially since it is made to order with just 20 minute wait. The coffee and toast have always been perfect, never to hard and not squished thing

Google
Best Cuban sandwich in town, made with their own delicious Cuban bread. So thin and crunchy… con los ingredientes de protagonistas. Don’t miss the pastelitos, rhetorical cabezotes y los batidos! All at a relaxed atmosphere and great service. Will be back!

Google
The dessert was too good, the drink I ordered a papaya milkshake and it was very bad the cashier’s attention was very rude and she yelled at me in front of all the customers then threw the window of the showcase when saving the dessert again because the other girl went ahead and gave it to me, the worst experience in service is with her muy altanera

Yelp
Very unassuming cuban bakery but boy does it deliver. Was in the area after a concert at FIU and decided to stop by and give it a try based on some good reviews. Parking was pretty simple as the bakery was in a large strip mall. We walked in and fortunate for us there weren't many people but this quickly changed once we ordered. At first glance it seemed like your normal cuban bakery with pastries and croquettas. But once you start checking out their menu and the selection of croquettas you realize "oh wait a minute". They got a ropa vieja quesadilla and a croquetta quesadilla? Is that a corn croquetta and yuca and queso croquetta? Yes to all that and they even had a croquetta cake which may end up being my next birthday cake request. My family and I ended up ordering a bunch of stuff and while we were eating we kept ordering more stuff. I must have ended up going back at least 3 times to order more stuff because it was that good and we kept finding more things as we kept looking around. Staff was great! They brought all our food over and checked on us multiple times. We even questioned whether we got the right croquetta or not and they gave us another one no questions asked. They were super patient and answered all our questions and we had so many because everything looked so good and unique. As for the food, like I said we had so many things. Our highlights for the croquettas were the corn and the yuca and queso. And by no means is this saying the others weren't great because they were but the corn and yuca/queso were on another level good. I had the Guajiro which is essentially a Frita Cubana with tostone and maduros. And if you know me you'll know I hate having to choose so if I can have both then even better. It was also amazing. My only complaint is that I had to literally dislocate my jaw in order to fit it in my mouth. Luckily my Chinese astrological sign is the Snake and it came in handy. It was the perfect balance of sweet and savory. We also have the Maduro empanada which we didn't even know until we bit into it that it had chicken and an aioli sauce which was oh so delicious. We ended up taking desserts home because we just didn't have enough room in our stomach but knew we couldn't leave without them. My wife and I are suckers for torrejas (basically cuban French toast) and theirs looked amazing and huge! And you know I wasn't leaving there without grabbing a guava bread pudding. Liquid guava doesn't run through my veins for no reason. Oh and I almost forgot the mamey shake my mother ordered was effing delicious. I mean there really wasn't anything we tried that disappointed. Nothing! Overall we were all really happy and we all agreed we would definitely be coming back again. Because there was still so many things we wanted to try!!

Yelp
This place was small and casual, but everything was delicious! The display of desserts looked mouthwatering. They serve coffee as well as sandwiches. I got the croqueta quesadilla, which I highly recommend. The croquettas are perfectly fried wrapped in cheesy tortilla goodness. The hubbys sandwich was also very tasty. The staff spoke Spanish, but we were able to get our order in without any problems. They brought out our food in less than 10 minutes so nothing to complain about. I'd definitely return here for brunch or lunch to taste more items!

Natalia O.

Yelp
Really yummy spot in a plaza you wouldn't expect. The location is quite small, but does over some seating if you want to sit, though most people (including myself) take their orders to-go. Their portions are MASSIVE and prices are phenomenal! They have all of the Cuban delicacies you'd ever need.

Lloyd C.

Yelp
Wonderful bakery - clean, simple decorations. The service was patient and sweet, as we had a few questions about a few things, as this was the first time experiencing this type of bakery. Unfortunately, there was a language barrier. Guava & Cheese pastry - flakey, buttery pastry. The guava and cheese were not too sweet. Delicious. El Cubanito: Patty of beef and chorizo, ham, cheese, potato sticks, pickles. The bread of the sandwich was good. It wasn't pressed down like I thought. But all the meats tasted good. The potato sticks were an interesting twist. Good overall sandwich. Cortadito - short shot of expresso. It was a nice little place to just relax. I think they were supposed that we sat there for as long as we did.

Yelp
If I could give Breadman 10 stars I would. Their pastelitos, croquetas, and bread are always fresh, warm and delicious. They have a great variety of pastelitos from your traditional carne, guayaba y queso to their pizza, Nutella and carne-maduro. I recently ordered trays with Dana at their 8 St location for my birthday as well as a cake and everything was made fresh and scrumptious. Their food was a big hit. Would highly recommend to anyone who has a craving for pastelitos, cafe con leche and Cuban bread. We'll soon go again to try out their breakfasts and sandwiches.

Ana A.

Yelp
Best croquetas in town. And try their pastelitos preparados. So yummy. Great service too.

Wendy G.

Yelp
The food tasted amazing, the desert was good too. When we ordered the staff were really friendly and the music in the location was nice. The place was very clean.

Cathal B.

Yelp
Great Cuban sandwiches, and a Mamey smoothie. Very nice casual atmosphere café with freshly baked items like guava pastries, croquetas, empanadas, and lots of sándwiches. You pay at the counter and pick up so there is no service. Very reasonably priced for huge and delicious sandwiches, highly recommended!

Christy S.

Yelp
Top contenders for best croquetas in Miami imo! The staff is awesome. Danaisy and Betty were super helpful with my large order!

Steve C.

Yelp
I started with the torrejas, which is like Cuban French toast, only about 99% sugar, or sure seemed like it. I haven't had a sugar high like that for some time, thank you. Plus the Cuban coffee is amazing. Also had the Omelette Sandwich, which had ham, cheese, a fried egg and potato sticks, which I've noticed are in a lot of Cuban food. All surrounded by Cuban bread. I could spend days and days going thru their food selection. Thank god that I don't live near a Breadmans, or I'd plumb up like the Pillsbury dough boy.

Gabriel R.

Yelp
Amazing croquetas! Tried the hiuse specialty ones and the tegular ham ones..simply awesome! They were super crispy on the outside, and the filling was seasoned just right. They were super fresh too! We will definitely be back to get more very soon!!

Sacha M.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious bakery! From the crunchy yet melt in your mouth croquettas, to the pastelitos, ti the coffee. Everything was so delicious I cannot rave enough about this place. The only disappointing thing is that it's not closer to me (although that may be a good thing)!

Cristina D.

Yelp
I am obsessed withbthis bakery, all they have is so good that so far the only think not good for me is bocaditos, but other friends say they like them. Sabdwiches are big, empanadas and desserts are really good. For a sweet and little dessert they have some 1/2 moons of guava , zhey call lenguitas (tongues) Will keep coming till all has been tried the Ambience is good, nice and clean thus small, and service is great, they even bring your order to the table.

Heather W.

Yelp
We stopped in to try this place out for lunch. It's not a big place but we grabbed a seat just before our food was ready. The people were so nice even though I don't speak Spanish at all. The food was so delicious! I would go again when I'm in town visiting my son. Thank you!

Zara H.

Yelp
Best croquetas in Miami--great for parties! I love Breadman and their service is fast. I also love their sandwiches and Cuban coffee.

Judy S.

Yelp
. it's a Cuban bakery shop. It has some traditional pastries and some with a twist like a guayaba bread pudding, chorizo croquet, tequeño Nutella, tequeño guava con queso, cheese maduro, ropa vieja empanadas, and other interesting variations. My favorite thing was the pizza pastel it was very good. I tried the two styles of ham croquettes they had a Jamon de la casa and Jamon regular. I liked the jam on regular more. They both tasted good. . . I got the Cuban sandwich. It was a good sandwich and thick. It tasted great. The amount of stuff they put in was satisfying to my belly. My belly was happy. They have variations similar to this sandwich and many other interesting combinations. . . . I got the Supermeng for my son. That sandwich was heavy. It was like a Philly cheesesteak with two fried eggs and American Cheese. He loved it. . . . This shop makes shakes. You can turn any dessert into a shake the sign says lol. They also have shakes have Nutella, chocolate, and fruit shakes. That was great news. . . . The service was good and friendly. I was glad I checked the place out.

Lilly M.

Yelp
Honestly my favorite bakery in Miami. The croquettas are so crispy and they stay crispy for a long time! Their pan con tortilla is ELITE! Bacon, egg, cheese, potato sticks, & mayo is the way to go! They also have a huge selection of all kinds of sandwiches. The Rico suave is another one of my favorites.

Josue L.

Yelp
I was out running errands and stumbled upon this gem!!! I heard about it before but never had the chance to try it out. A place with good customer service is hard to come by in Miami nowadays but Breadman delivers, staff is very friendly and efficient, line moves fast. I got my croquetas, pastelitos and café con leche oscurito to go. Ambiance at the place seems like any other Miami bakery full of Spanglish chatter and delicious smell of coffee in the air. I'm Definitely going back to try out their sandwiches and cakes. Dale...GO NOW!!!!

Hansel M.

Yelp
Snuck away in the old 8th Street Majestic shopping Plaza close to the Palmetto 826 where one can actually find a variety of businesses from an Asian supermarket, to this, a Cuban bakery, this spot is not just your typical Cuban bakery. What makes them different is their creative approach to traditional Cuban sandwiches, sweets, and baked & fried goods. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and knowledgeable about the menu. So many fun options in croquetas that go beyond the typical ham, or cheese, or chicken... They have some like Manchego Cheese, or Corn and Cheese. Corn and Cheese have a sweetness to them, while the Manchego is creamy and Menchego-ie. You can also find Guava and Cheese Tequeños which if cooked right, are amazing! Their desserts are elevated and look amazing. Definitely worth the visit!

Dennise M.

Yelp
A legit local bakery ! From there toast to there pan con bistec with egg ! Delicious! A must try ! You won't regret it ! Don't forget to try their bread pudding !

Natalie P.

Yelp
They make the best tostada in Miami. I don't live close, but I make it a point to go to breadman when I want something delicious from a Cuban bakery. Their party platters are also awesome.

Trish C.

Yelp
A trip to Miami is just not the same without stopping at a local bakery for pastelitos. This place is legit!!! They have some beautiful pastries . The croquetas (chorizo and jamón de la casa) were incredible. Mango shake/batido de mango was freshly made and really tasty. Definitely give this place a try

Jan-nessi S.

Yelp
Great food, nice staff Great location Yummy breakfast Yummy sandwiches Breadman Croqueta Preparada

Nina F.

Yelp
If you're looking for a place with great Cuban coffee, pastries, and sandwiches look no further! I'm a longtime fan of Islas Canarias' croquetas, and this is one of the first croquetas de la casa that competes with them. Helpful and nice staff (especially early in the morning when I swing by for breakfast) - I can't help but leave with a smile and excitement for the delicious in the iconic Breadman to-go box.

Virginia P.

Yelp
Food is not bad when you want some breakfast or lunch, I went over a year ago and service was not good at all. But I understand that there is new personnel, so have to try again to follow up on the review.

Eric R.

Yelp
Had a light breakfast early in the morning, came here after an appointment for breakfast/lunch! Tried the pan con bistec and el cubanito with a shake of trigo and Malta . Everything was delicious , small area to dine indoors if you plan too

Alexsis F.

Yelp
The name of this bakery caught my attention so I decided to drop in before work for some breakfast. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I got the omelette sandwich which was delicious!! I love Cuban bread and they basically allowed me to customize it to my liking. No meat, tomatoes, onions and cheese with the little potato chips. They have a huge selection of different pastries, tequenos, croquetas, cakes etc. will definitely have to be back to satisfy that sweet tooth!!

Mira P.

Yelp
Love the name of this spot, sounded fun and I expected lots of options due to the photos I saw online. I was in search of trying one of their Empanadas, really I wanted to try I the ropa vieja. I walked into the little bakery and was sad to see they had only 1 tequeno left and the only kind of empanada like was the carne maduro PASTELITO so I ventured off and order to go. I guess you have to come early to be able to see more varieties and also get the empanadas. I had to try something as I drove a little distance to get here. I tell you what if you have any kind of sweet tooth you would be able to find your Desire treat. Would try again as I'm very curious on how their empanadas are.

Blue A.

Yelp
TLDR: Bomb baked (and fried) goods. It's an elevated Cuban bakery. ___ I've been here a few times now and it's always such a treat. The last time I got a bunch of their croquetas: Jamon casa - thicc and stuffed with creamy ham mixture. It's solid as far as ham croquetas go. But you can easily skip it and try some of the other ones, that are VERY unique. Maiz (corn) - these are made from sweet corn on the outside and stuffed with cheese. It's like a cuban corndog - minus the hotdog. Manchego - manchego cheese in croqueta form? GET ALL OF THEM. Cheese - made with cream cheese I think? I'm not sure. But they are delicious. They also have a ton of sweets. Pastelitos - can never go wrong. I love the coconut ones. Tresleches - one of my fav desserts. This one is really good. Seniorita vanilla - thin flaky layers of crust with silky smooth vanilla pudding and powered sugar on top. THIS WAS A DARKHORSE and was the best thing in the box. Loved it.

Fulano M.

Yelp
Better croquettes than Islas??? Could it be.... That's a personal preference but these have been the only ones to even be worthy of mentioning. They have a bunch of different options, although I prefer their regular ham over the house special, my favorite is their chorizo. Not oily at all. Their empanadas are very good too as is their Cuban bread. Definitely worth trying the croquettes if your set in your favorites being Islas canarias(still my favorite but these are tied)

Raquel P.

Yelp
Average bakery with some fusion. Croquetas different flavors but After trying them I stay with plain ham the others especially the sweet corn was too greasy. The Cuban bread is the kind that by morning they are hard as rock. Did not see many pastry selection on display.

Suhay R.

Yelp
Thank you for making my visión come to life. Breadman bakery has the most delicious cakes, pastries, etc. Not to mention the best crew working for them that go above and beyond!

Elaine A.

Yelp
Finally!!!!! Another place that doesn't disappoint! The cortadito was phenomenal! The "ñooooooooo" was a sweet custardy delight. The empanada one of the best I've had. Everything was delicious and I can't wait to come back.

Alan I.

Yelp
Cuban lady at the front is very kind. I love their sandwiches, great for breakfast . Also great desserts

George M.

Yelp
I grew up in Hialeah. That line enough should legitimize what I am about to type Breadman makes excellent pastelitos. You can find all the normal ones but they also know times are changing and they do some new fun ones as well. Such as Nutella and Cheese. They also make different croquetas. I usually go in without much of an idea of what I am going to get. I just build myself an assortment of different little treats and usually come out very happy

Naty T.

Yelp
Super yummy! We ordered breakfast from here and we're not disappointed. The eggs were on point. Toast was perfectly toasted and not an overwhelming amount of butter. The pastelitos were great. We had guayaba and a tequeño of cheese and guayaba. We also ordered some croquetas which were really good. The homemade ham is great and the cheese and corn was a nice switch up. We ordered on Uber eats but are looking forward to Stopping in soon!

Raquel V.

Yelp
Very good bakery but the only problem don't matter what time you get there they never have pastelitos de carne and when you ask them their answer is no they finish. I believe they don't do them and they just say that answer . I have gotten there at ten and at five and never have. The owner should improve the sell

Vanessa L.

Yelp
Great bakery in the Westchester/Sweetwater area. I've been dying to try Breadman since I've been hearing about all this pastelero craze. Went to get pastelitos for the fam and of course always CROQUETAS. Went for 4 house croquetas and 4 regular ham. I then got some assorted pastelitos. I got 2 carne of course because well I heard they are the best. Then I got a Nutella cause yeah and a guava cheese. GUAUUUUU (wow in spanish). Those house ham croquetas are delicious. Usually don't like the house one from places. I feel like they had unnecessary things in it. Not Breadman! It was so good!!! Don't know exactly what's in it but I can probably eat a whole lot of them. I only had a bite cause la dieta. Forgot also had the cold brew with caramel. Yum. Take that Starbucks! Pastelitos were a 10. I will be coming back to have the hot food. So excited.

Ivy S.

Yelp
Picked up some pastries and croquettes for breakfast. First time there. My favorite was the Manchego cheese croquette, yummy!

Tony L.

Yelp
Solid solid pastelitos in the area. I haven't tried others in Miami, but I have had ones abroad and these are just as good. Prices were extremely fair and the service was amazing. I really don't have much else to say except that everything was great and I still regret not getting more to try! P.S. I appreciated that they will speak Spanish to you unless you give them a reason to speak English. I love that they did not assume!

Misha T.

Yelp
We stopped here for breakfast on our way to the everglades (it's open early and on the way from Miami) and I thought it was mostly pretty good. We split some pork croquetas (amazing, best thing we got), a pizza pastelito (the sweet glaze throws it off), a chorizo empanda (fine) and a ropa vieja empanada (very solid). But really the croquetas were the star and boy do I wish they were healthier because I wanted to get more of them (but I guess they probably wouldn't be as good if they were healthier lol).

Emmanuel D.

Yelp
Cuban bakeries are a staple in Miami and should not be taken for granted, offering the pride and joy of the city including croquetas, tequeños, and pastelistos. But out of all the Cuban bakeries I've been to in my life, Breadman Miami has a special place in my heart.... And stomach. Breadman is Cuban bakery with an extra flare of moreee cuban, and that just means more flavors, more experimentation with recipes that we love, and next level customer service. I have come to this location quite a few times already this month and they have been able to follow social distancing guidelines within their shop by putting branded labels on the floor that let you know where to stand. The staff is also wearing a mask(the right way) and gloves the entire time, and they all go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of as swiftly as possible. Before you enter you can see some signs they pasted on their door to enforce anyone that comes in to wear a mask, the obvious in this point in time but it's always nice to have this reminder set for others. Every single one of the items I've had a chance to try has been incredible! but here is a list of my top 5 must have breakfast items in their menu. 1. Croissant egg ham & cheese sandwich 2. Chorizo Croqueta 3. Tequeño w/ cheese (these puppers are STUFFED with cheese) 4. Strawberry & cheese pastelito 5. Nutella Pastelito If you're around the area definitely give them a shot! I will definitely be coming back very soon.

Susan C.

Yelp
We live in Tampa and enjoy great cafe con leche here...or so I thought! We came down to go to a Miami Dolphin game and stopped in here. First thing I noticed was how clean and clearly marked everything was. I had some questions as I have a nut allergy and the girl that waited on us was very helpful. The cafe con leche was so good. We also got ham croquetas, breakfast sandwiches, cheese toast and a variety of pastries that were amazing! I'll be back on Monday to get my coffee con leche for my trip back to Tampa. So good!

Perry R.

Yelp
Great stop for breakfast. The sand which I ordered surprised my by the size and flavor. Staff was super nice and the selection and coffee was great

Mirelys L.

Yelp
I don't know how to describe how perfect their desserts are! We tried the "Alabao" at my sister's house and it was so good we went immediately to buy 2 more plus the "flan cheesecake" and the "4 leches". They were JUST as perfect. We can't decide on a favorite. So delicious! We loved them so much that we felt it was wrong of us to not share with our families SO we had them sent to our parents and grandparents on Postmates. My Abuela who makes delicious flan and arroz con leche called me to ask me to buy her 3 more Alabaos so she could have them in stock. So in conclusion, WE ARE OBSESSED!!!

Annie I.

Yelp
The pastelillos I had were better than the ones I have in Puerto Rico and those are hard to beat. They were flaky and delicious with various fillings, my favorite was the cream cheese and guava. I also ordered the pan con bistec, but honestly it was missing some meat. But the bread was very soft and all the pastries were extra fresh.

Sam K.

Yelp
The sandwich I had here was insane. But, I am pretty sure that they jacked up the price of my sandwich because I wasn't able to speak Spanish. My sandwich was like $18 and my friend's (who knew conversational Spanish) was like $10. We got pretty much the same thing. If you come here, granted it's Hialeah, speak Spanish...

Araceli A.

Yelp
Delivery was on time. Food was good. We had sandwiches. It was an average Miami sandwich.

Emily M.

Yelp
My biggest regret was not buying three times the amount of pastries that I did!!! They have such a variety and the prices are extremely affordable. I purchased guava, guava and cheese, Nutella, nutella and cheese, and mango pastries. They have everything from pizza pastries to meat filled pastries. It was so delicious, I couldn't wait to get to work and had a nice and warm Nutella pastry with powdered sugar. This is a must try bakery!!!!!!!! Ps. The customer service was out of this world too. They're so friendly and they speak Spanish too. I noticed that they take Samsung and google pay upon checkout.

Melanie P.

Yelp
Mozzarella n chorizo pastelito THE BEST ONE I've tried yet. This place is amazing!!! The croquetas are delicious and freshly fried. The meat pies are perfect. Manchego croquetas are a must try here. Chocolate bon bon cake another must.. so impressive absolutely love this bakery!
