NYC’s New Restaurant Openings - New York - The Infatuation

"You’ve heard of the pizza bagel. But Breads Bakery, who make some of our favorite babka (and rugelach and challah) in NYC have a new kiosk in Brooklyn Bridge Park where they’re turning babka savory by way of gooey mozzarella and tomato sauce. The babka pizza is exclusive to this Dumbo location, the brand’s first in Brooklyn, which will also sell their classic pastries and sandwiches." - will hartman, willa moore, molly fitzpatrick, sonal shah, bryan kim

The Best Restaurants in Brooklyn's Dumbo Neighborhood

"A high-profile waterfront kiosk in Brooklyn Bridge Park known for exceptional laminated pastries and a savory-forward grab-and-go menu; standout items include cheese straws, seasonal tomato tartlets, and coffee-driven offerings. The team leans into savory and convenience with salads, sandwiches, and pastries made for tourist foot traffic, and they’ve produced a location-exclusive babka pizza that uses the bakery’s famous babka dough topped with tomato sauce and mozzarella." - Kat Odell

Where To Eat After A Run In Central Park - New York - The Infatuation

"Runners have been carbo-loading since the first Olympic games in Ancient Greece (probably). You can do your part to follow this important tradition by heading to Breads Bakery at Lincoln Center on 63rd Street on the West Side - less than a block from the Sheep Meadow area. At Breads, you can get your breakfast sandwich to go (along with an iced coffee and a really good piece of chocolate babka). Also - there are a bunch of tables here in the event you decide to hang out for a while." - hannah albertine

Google
It’s the iconic BREADS BAKERY! Finally opened up its Brooklyn location with a breathtaking view in Brooklyn Bridge Park! For the last piece of pizza babka, nicely toasted and it tasted just perfect. Can’t express how amazing this is. IYKYK 😉

This has been such a welcome addition to Brooklyn Bridge Park! Near the Fulton St Ferry stop, this little outpost offers some of the most delectable baked goods in the area with a great view of the lower Manhattan skyline and the Brooklyn Bridge. Their chocolate babka is to die for; they offer great scrambled egg sandwiches on incredibly fresh poppy and sesame seed rolls (get there early! they sell out!); their babka pizza is savory & slightly sweet with a little bit of a kick; wonderful croissants and cinnamon rolls, plus coffees and hot chocolate. Everything served quickly and with a smile from the super friendly staff there. I can't count the number of times we've stopped there for ourselves, and also to get chocolate babkas as gifts for friends. We love it!

Oh my God. I just had an ICONIC HOT CHOCOLATE. The best I've had in a very long time. Also the staff is very warm and so kind, despite the cold and the crowd! This hot chocolate and kindness made my day, so thank you. .

Finally a decent bakery in Dumbo! Lots of outdoor seating, lovely menu with pastries, sandwiches, salads and coffee. A great addition to the neighborhood!

Google
Love that Breads opened up an outpost here. It’s the perfect place to pick up lunch and picnic at Brooklyn Bridge Park. This isn’t a full sized Breads Bakery, but they have plenty of baked goods, sandwiches and coffees. Gotta try the exclusive pizza babka!

Google
The Brooklyn style babka pizza was interesting to try although I expected more for the money. No regrets and maybe a good thing to try to check a checkbox but I would not recommend this as a deliberate destination point

Google
Stopped in to their new kiosk by the park around 9am to try their challah loaf and got the sesame challah. Sooo good. Could be eggier for sure but otherwise, ridiculously fresh and pillowy and the sesame brings such savory flavory to every bite, whether butter, cheese, or avocado-topped (photos included). Coming back for the sesame and the plain when they have it. They also serve their usual rugelach, coffee, sandwiches and more. 5 stars!!!!

Google
we ordered the apple challah and it was delicious. it was great to have a spot to sit and enjoy our food and drink. it’s a perfect spot to relax by the bridge too after walking along the brooklyn bridge park. they have lots of other options, even a festive challah and olive breadsticks. yum!
