Ordered from here a couple of days ago, I got the cheese plate.
So I might be a bit of a snob because I've worked in three places that *specialize* in cheese and charcuterie, but the cheese plate was um underwhelming. It was slices of cheese cute in half, like the kind you get in a grocery store and they just cut the pieces in half. Not really a nice cheese plate. Seemed to be swiss. Sharp sged cheddar doesn't slice that cleanly. The pepper jack was fine. There appeared to muenster as well. Might as well take me to the sandwich shop!
The goat cheese was supposed to be herbed, it was plain chevre and served in awkward clumps. No blue cheese was included. I'm really familiar with Maytag, if this was supposed to be Maytag, heads up tasted and looked just like the chevre. Also both were oddly served in clumps?
"Fruit garnish," was a few slices of cucumber lol. I've never had or made a cheese board at the places I've worked with cukes. Cornichon yes. But this was just a few slices of plain fat cucumber. Sandwich sliced cheese and cukes... I think they wanted me to make a deli sandwich!
FYI guys, try grapes, a thing of fig spread, dried apricots, or olives.
The baguette though was delicious. I've ordered from, "bakeries," in DC and been giving baguette that was so hard you could hurt someone with it. They sliced it which made it easier because that's how I would've wanted it, and it was nice and warm. Definitely was buttered, which they probably should mention for people watching cholesterol and such, I am not so it was okay but it is very rich.
