The Best Brunches in Dallas

"This July, Bread Winners celebrates its 30th anniversary as a Dallas dining destination and a true brunch legend. This is the OG of Dallas brunches, so go in and order everything and a second round of mimosas. It may be charging for its legendary sweet bread plate now, but the cost is only $1.75, so order one for the table. The house specialties are the Normandy French toast, biscuits and sausage gravy, or the San Antonio tacos. Try one, or try ‘em all. Parking is tough here and probably the toughest at brunch. There’s a small lot around back, but if it is full you are on your own to find street parking." - Courtney E. Smith

The Best Breakfasts in Dallas

"The OG of brunch and breakfast in Dallas is obviously a must-eat spot. Pop in for cinnamon pecan rolls for the table, a farmhouse scramble, or just a big plate of chicken-fried steak and eggs. It can get crowded in here on the weekends, so reservations, yes, even for breakfast, are recommended. Prepare to be elbow-to-elbow with the next table and enjoy the loud din and clang of people digging into breakfast plates — unless you have a hangover. There is limited free parking around back, otherwise you’re on your own with finding a street spot." - Courtney E. Smith

My experiece

Google
I have to give 4 stars on behalf of behalf of the quality, variety and taste. We had the California wraps, watermelon salad and beet salad. The food was great. The person preparing the order was nice but the cashier didn't match the good energy. Overall it's a nice place to dine and upon leaving the parking lot there was a fresh produce stand with good products and nice people. I enjoyed the experience.

Don’t come on here 15 minutes before closing because you’re going to get the worse service ever. I never get to eat here because there isn’t one by me but I really love their soup so I ran in to see if there was still some left. I asked for a bowl to go and she was already giving me an attitude about that and when I realize I should just get the quart, I asked her if it was too late to change it to a quart. As I’m finishing my sentence, someone comes out with the bowl and she looks at me and says yes it’s too late. It’s not so hard to just pour that into a bigger container and just fill the rest up. Her facial expression the whole time was disrespectful and just plain rude. I don’t care if I have to drive further out, I will never go back here.

Excellent food and charming cafe. The food is fresh and very generous portions. I had the lunch trio - Chicken Pesto Panini, Basil Orzo, and incredible Tomato Bisque Soup. Absolutely delicious and I went back the next day to get takeout!!!

We visited Breadwinner Cafe and Bakery on a Saturday around 1pm. It was our first time visiting this place; to our surprise - there was a long(-ish) line (~10 parties) to place orders and nearly all indoor and outdoor seats were occupied. This place has most of their sandwiches pre-made and salads pre-mixed and have them on display. It’s like going to Chipotle, where you order different things at different station in the line (Sandwich and soup first, then salads/sides). Pros: - Even though there was a wait line, it moved quickly. - Unlike other places, staff are smart/swift/friendly! - You see what you will get (for most items) as they are all on display. - They will ask if you would like your sandwich toasted. - Reasonable price (considering the portion of food they offer). - Lots of different salad options. Cons: - Where the menus are is hard for someone new to this restaurant to see. - They could have been put at a more visible location (and face the entrance). - Some combo items are a little unclear to understand the price and how many sides I can choose. e.g. brisket sandwich, as it’s a full sandwich and not half, if I do a Trio, can I still get two sides with it for the total of $12.99? Overall, I give this place 5*. Great food and service. Will definitely revisit!

Google
This was my first experience at Breadwinner and it was amazing. The food was fresh, warm, and tasted delicious. It's one of the best lunches I've had in Dunwoody (especially within the Village) in a while. The inside was clean and well taken care of which is a big deal for me. They were well stocked with to go items as well if you were looking for a quick lunch or a take home meal! I ordered the Basil Tomato Soup, Pesto Chicken Panini, and Pesto Pasta Salad all which were very well done. I have no complaints whatsoever! I would recommend Breadwinner to anyone looking for a great lunch spot in Dunwoody!

Google
Breadwinner cafe is the perfect lunch spot 😊 all of their food is delicious and you really get a homemade meal for a great price. I love their tomato bisque soup but they have all kinds of salads, sandwiches, and sides! All their food tastes fresh as well. I also love that they have extra goodies for the sweets lovers and packaged sides you can buy to enjoy at home!

Google
Ordered through foodsby. Lettuce smelled old, tomatoes were visibly old, and the corn was canned. Received the tiniest bit of ranch and had to get a separate plate to how packed the bowl was. The salad was clearly made days ago and tastes old. I hope the lettuce was not expired because it was strong. The canned corn was the most forward tasting thing and not delicious. This is my first and last time ever going here. Huge let down.

Google
I ordered a tuna sandwich and turkey chili today with Grubhub. Much to my surprise, the chili tastes almost EXACTLY like my grandma's prize-winning recipe that I've been thinking about making for two weeks (even more impressive because we use beef)! Even the tuna salad is close to how we make it, which is pretty different from most delis. YUM. I will definitely order from here again!

Yelp
Breadwinner Cafe is so good!!! I stopped by for lunch several months ago, but I'm still thinking about the food. I decided to try the lunch trio which included a half sandwich, soup and salad. For my sandwich I got the chicken pesto, for the soup I got the tomato Basil, and for the salad the Greek salad. Everything was so good and filling. I am normally not a tomato soup person, but that tomato basil was soooo good and flavorful. I can't wait to return!

Yelp
Great restaurant. Been coming here for many years. They have sandwiches, soups, and salads. It's all excellent. I do have 2 small complaints. Some of their salads contain just a little bit too much sugar. Of course it all tastes great, but in my opinion, salad should be healthy, and sugar takes away from that. I love their broccoli salad, so I tolerate the sugar. The beet and blue salad is also great. My wife and I love the place, but don't go there near as often because the prices keep going up.

Yelp
Love this cute place! It reminds me of La Madeline but more authentic because it's local. I got the lunch trio and I enjoyed my meal. The soup is what I came for and it was yummy. Also, service was extremely fast! Literally spooned and plated me up in less than 2 minutes!

Yelp
Love this place. Their Trio: Half sandwich, soup and salad makes for a great lunch. Lots of very good choices for all three. I like them roast beef with horseradish, the tomato bisque and the classic Caesar, also like the turkey wrap, the chili and the orzo salad. They do a very brisk lunch business but don't be dissuaded by a long line, they move folks through very quickly. It's like the old Varsity counter, you need to be ready when they ask for your order. There are comfortable long wood tables where you can seat yourself. This place has become a Sandy Springs favorite institution and neighborhood hang out. Stop by for lunch. You'll be glad you did.

Yelp
At Breadwinner in Sandy Springs, you can always count on excellent food service and genuine hospitality. They take pride in what they do, and it shows in every aspect of the experience. It's the kind of place where consistency and care make all the difference.

Yelp
This is a great place to get a quick lunch. During peak hours it can get a little busy, but the staff does a great job of keeping the line moving so the wait is never too bad. There's a large selection of soups, sandwiches, etc. and my personal favorite is the side of pesto pasta. The tomatoes are always very fresh and juicy. There is a lot of indoor seating (and some outdoor seating) and since most people take their orders to go, it's never too crowded. There's a large parking lot, but if it's full you can drive around to the side of the shopping center and there are some spots reserved for Breadwinner diners. Overall a great place to eat.

Yelp
I got the trio: half a pesto chicken sandwich, kale salad, and tomato basil soup. The tomato basil soup is alright, it's sort of generic creaminess that doesn't really taste like tomato. The kale salad was same, generic but good. Like both of those sides are basic but good enough. The pesto chicken sandwich was aaaaaamazing. Chicken was tender but not chewy or rubbery and they toast it before giving it to you. I knock off a star because (1) sides are just alright (2) it's a little expensive ($16-$20)--they give you a good amount of food but still (3) the person in the front, who wasnt doing anything but standing there, ignored me until someone who was assembling sandwiches got my order and prompted her to finish it up so that was weird. (4) the ambience is sort of hectic bc its really loud (all people who were dining in were talking at a high volume, dunno why), it's hard to hear what anyone was saying behind the counter--would not recommend coming here for a meeting or a lunch date, you can't hear anything.

Yelp
Good deal on a healthy lunch $12.99 Turkey Sand / Turkey Chili / Kale Salad Impressed by it actually being healthy !!' Hard to come by.

Yelp
Great sandwiches and salads- highly recommend! Friendly staff too! Love the variety of choices - love the pesto salad and the balsamic orzo!

Yelp
I would definitely recommend this place for lunch take-out or delivery. I've had two positive Uber Eats experiences with this restaurant so far and look forward to trying more things. The two sandwiches I've tried include the Cuban and the chicken salad sandwich. I wasn't too impressed with the chicken salad sandwich as it only had one half of a grape and no nuts that I could account for in it (basically lacking flavor and texture). However, the Cuban was really delicious and flavorful. I would get that again. For sides: I've tried - 1) the beet salad (nice mix of acidity and creaminess from the raspberry vinaigrette and feta), 2) the Dirty Chips - really good stuff - tried the Maui Onion and BBQ so far, 3) the chicken noodle soup, also a really nice side - tastes homemade and not so processed which is nice, 4) the Dr. Brown's diet sodas - really yummy - highly recommend the black cherry or cream soda to wash down your lunch. If you do a review on Uber Eats, the cafe will send you a $5 UE promo to use on your next order also, which I thought was a nice touch. I would definitely recommend this place for lunch and plan on ordering again soon. Tasty, well portioned, and fresh food.

Yelp
Cute little spot. It reminds me of Panera bread except it's not a big chain restaurant. I don't have much to say about service other than it was great. I ordered the pimento cheese sandwich (grilled), turkey chili w/ cheese, and the broccoli salad which was a perfect trio. Although the turkey chili was very flavorful, it wasn't hot (temperature wise) and I felt like it would've been a lot better if it was heated up for a little bit. The broccoli salad was sweet but it paired really well with my salty pimento cheese sandwich and turkey chili. Overall, my experience was great and I will definitely be back for more.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem in Sandy Springs. Delicious and quick food here. Many of the employees are also Spanish speaking and I always love that. This is the type of place where you get your food at the front first and then take a seat to eat. There is good indoor seating and also some outdoor tables. Parking lot is massive because it's in a shopping center. Think of it like a Panera but not a chain. Less wait time and even more delicious sandwiches! Soups and salads are also large in size. I had half sandwich and side of salad and it was definitely filling. They also have a lunch trio plate available if you're hungrier. If I'm in this area again, I will come back!

Yelp
Some good, some bad. Some of their regular menu items are consistently good, like the turkey chili and some salads. Go there for those items. But when they make food for holidays/special occasions, they fail. Just avoid it. This is the second time I've been disappointed. It makes no sense. Last weekend I got the brisket sandwich and it was tasty, a little tangy, definitely savory and had good flavor. Today I got the brisket as a special holiday order and it was terrible, tasteless, bland, nothing like the brisket from four days ago. Maybe someone new made it and forgot a few ingredients bc it didn't taste remotely the same. We also got chocolate rugelach. They were also terrible, tasteless, and bland. It looks like someone cut corners in the kitchen because what they made were not rugelach. It seems like someone used the left over dough from the babka, rolled it differently/individually, popped 10 of them in the same small bread pan, and labeled it rugelach. It was chocolate bread. I love chocolate and bread but this is going in the trash.

Yelp
I ordered from them through Uber eats. I got the two large cookies, one chocolate chip and one oatmeal raisin. The oatmeal raisin cookie was very dry and bland. The chocolate chip cookie was OK but for a fact I've had hundreds of better cookies. The kale salad that I got was OK, again, I've had better salads and I was not very impressed with this place. I got the healthy slaw, that's probably my bad because they did describe it accurately but I thought it would have better flavor, it does not. Overall maybe I did some wrong picking with the menu but I was not impressed. I was trying to go for something healthy but I think I chose poorly. I'm not sure that I would order from them again from Uber eats but I do see they have good reviews so they may be worth a try! Sorry, just was underwhelmed.

Yelp
Always a great spot to grab a sandwich or a wrap. I always have a good lunch experience here whether I'm a grab a full meal or quick snack. I always grab the cucumber turkey wrap. It's always on point & I can't leave without grabbing a slice of that delicious peach bread. It's always so moist & soft. We also enjoy their trio plate, the mats where you can get half a sandwich/wrap, soup/chili, & a salad/pasta.

Yelp
Tomato bisque soup was good and hot. Perfect for this cool weather. Tried the Cuban sandwich and it was legit Cuban flavor. Sweet Tea was delicious. My wife went for the Salmon, rice and salad. Definitely, a great place to go.

Yelp
This is a great place for bread lovers! This eatery is cozy, has a nice atmosphere, crowded at lunch time on a weekday. They usually have 4 different kind of soups, several salads, cold pasta and lots of sandwiches options to choose from. The fact that they have self service drinks, with a jar of fresh squeezed limes to add to the tea is something that I appreciate.
google avatar

Karnesha S.

Yelp
Tried this place out trying to get a quick lunch with my best friend. Reminds me of a New York deli without the New York attitude- everyone working there was so juice and friendly! I had a half fancy grilled cheese on ciabatta- really great portion, so glad I only got the half! I also got the tomato soup- very rich and creamy. Perfect for dipping! And you also get a side with your soup and salad- I ordered the broccoli salad. Crunchy broccoli with carrots and sweet/creamy dressing. Super yummy, I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Holy fresh! We got here at 1130 for lunch and there was a line at the door. After sitting down to eat, I totally understand why. I got half sandwich, a cup of soup, and 1 side, one of the lunch options. I got the corned beef sandwich (toasted), chicken noodle soup, and curried cauliflower. Everything was outstanding. The rye bread was delicious with the corned beef sandwich. The chicken noodle soup had huge chunks of chicken, carrots, and noodles. I had never had curried cauliflower, but it has great flavor. I also got the Heath Cookie, which is sinfully delicious. They give you tons of food! Good value for the price you pay during lunch. My only wish is that they would put more meat in the sandwiches, but I'll live. They offer many gluten free options as well as vegetarian options. They do a great job with their signage explaining what is or isn't GF, etc. The staff is very friendly and the line goes fairly quick. There is plenty of seats for guests to sit, although they do pack you in there. I look forward to coming back and trying new things here. They definitely have great food, a wide selection of soup, sandwiches, sides, etc. The best "deli" I've been to yet in Atlanta!
google avatar

Kiran J.

Yelp
I've experienced eating there is better than bringing it home. For some reason, food tends to taste less fresh and dry when I bring it home. I've been going here for a couple years now and my fav still is the mocha chocolate bread!
google avatar

Christie H.

Yelp
Got some food delivered from Breadwinner. It's a great choice for vegetarian food. I was surprised to see that I could order many different items. Got the kale salad and the pesto salad. They seem very homemade and were both delicious.

Yelp
Winner winner! Yes, I am a winner now after experiencing a lunch at Breadwinner. If you've been to Souper Jenny or Alon's Bakery, you will recognize my comparisons. The way Souper Jenny offers a few items and make it an affordable combo with the huge spread of sides the way Alon's deli/hot food bar has laid out. I had a hard time choosing but I finally ended up with a healthy turkey wrap with my favorite alfalfa sprouts and avocado, as well as some quinoa salad and a cup of turkey chili on the side. I noticed that they also served cookies, so I snatched up one of the massive chocolate chip cookies. I felt like I couldn't eat the cookie without a cup of coffee, either... So before I knew it I had wracked up a pretty heavy bill for lunch. But WORTH IT. The wrap was light but filling. The quinoa salad was just ok (the feta was a bit overwhelming and I love feta). The turkey chili had a good proportion of meat to beans to tomatoes to soup, and especially with the cheese and raw onion sprinkled on top. The cookie was chewy and buttery in the middle while crisp on the edges - the perfect cookie. The coffee wasn't anything special, but did well to wash down the dessert. Overall, a relaxing lunch spot in downtown Sandy Springs. I'll have to check out some of their other baked goods next time. If only they were open for dinner! Until then, I'm stuck with only eating here for lunch on weekends. But I guess too much of a good thing can be hurtful, although I can never have too much of Breadwinner Cafe.
google avatar

Kathryn S.

Yelp
My 3rd review - 3 Stars I enjoyed the Chicken Pesto sandwich but the tomato basil soup was bland and the pesto orzo was average. The chicken salad is still the consistency of mush. Meh. I think it's a little expensive - 1/2 sandwich and 2 sides for $10.99 Plus Tax. No drink. I'd go back if I had to.

Barb L.

Yelp
The food is always delicious and the service is excellent! I have eaten in as well as picked up. my company placed a last minute lunch order and the did a phenomenal job getting it reading so quickly. The owners and staff are great!! I highly recommend you try it!!!

Yelp
Just met this man in Phx and I'm committed to eating in Atlanta. Good people good food

Yelp
I think I made have ordered badly. Everything here looked so good. Resisting the temptation to get the brisket sandwich on special, I chose the chicken salad sandwich instead. I like chicken salad. Breadwinner's version is OK but a little sparse and was dressed with measly scraps of wilted lettuce. Should have gone for the brisket. Compounding the error, as a side I chose the pasta salad, which was OK but a bit vinegary. One of my Yelper dining companions let me try her orzo salad - much better. The tomato basil soup, however, was top notch. Pasta salad - not real great, a little too vinegary. Long, slow line to order, but once you do, you'll find yourself enjoying a meal in a very nice space. Music was a bit loud at first so I had trouble hearing the conversation at the table. They turned it down after a while. A place like this probably should stick to mellow background music. 3.49 stars
google avatar

Mary M.

Yelp
The food is always good quality, staff is always nice. The customers are my complaint. Rudest speak-to-the-manager Karen today berating the staff because she wanted a different side. "Don't make this difficult or I'll walk out right now and never come back." GOOD, LEAVE. What a jerk, this is not how you treat human beings you jack-ass embarrassment.

Yelp
Stopped in to Breadwinner today for lunch with my mom....and now, hours later, I'm still ridiculously full. Everything was just so good (plus, the portion sizes are insane). For ~$10, you get three items: a combination of any of their sandwiches, soups, or sides (which are mostly veggies and pastas). There are a handful vegetarian and vegan options. Everything is displayed at the counter in the front when you first walk in. This is where you order, have your plate assembled, and pay. At the end of the counter, you'll find a selection of baked goods, including their famous breads. You can also pick up containers of soup and sides to go. Here's what we ordered: CHICKEN PESTO PANINI: By far the best part of my lunch. It will be hard to branch out and pick a different sandwich next time! KALE SALAD: The dressing is a perfect balance of sweet and tangy, and there are tons of craisins, carrots, and pumpkin seeds mixed in. So good. MUSHROOM BARLEY SOUP: Flavor was good, and they don't skimp on the mushrooms! But it did not come out very hot. PIMENTO CHEESE SANDWICH: "Not the best I've ever had, but it's pimento cheese so of course it's good." BROCCOLI SALAD: "I like Chicken Salad Chick's a lot better." CURRIED CAULIFLOWER: I had a couple bites of this. We both agreed that the cauliflower was cooked perfectly, but was way too sweet. Clearly, I made the better choices today ;) Excited to explore their other sandwiches and sides in the future, but will probably stay away from the soup and curried cauliflower. Definitely give this place a visit, and come hungry!
google avatar

Dallas J.

Yelp
Wow o wow, the Cuban sandwich combo with chicken noodle soup and cavatapi salad were on point. I'd share a picture but I ate it too fast. The set up is easy... get in line, pick your product, pay, eat. They are efficient with the process and the line -- while long -- moves quickly. Will definitely give this spot another lunch visit.
google avatar

Ellen M.

Yelp
I finally got to eat here! Go early as this popular cafe & parking lot fill up. So many choices, soups, salads, & protein. I had the 1/2 Cuban sandwich with 2side salads! The curried cauliflower was delicious! The other salad was a feta couscous. Also very good! Seating is nice with traditional tables or sit @ the community table. They have an assortment of too go items @ the front and bakery items too! Great place to eat healthy if you choose or try some new salads too!

Yelp
I had high hopes for this place as a friend of mines purchased cookies through the Uber Eats App from Breadwinners that was absolutely delectable. We first tried to call in the order - the rude individual said she could not take any order without a manger and promptly hung the phone up. We drove there and I am assuming the same rude girl on the phone was there at the counter greeting us with veined aspiration - I guess because it was getting close to 5pm. Needless to say she was so very rude and seemed to be just very tired of working there. We asked for he owner and she said he was not available and there was no way to contact them. Got home had soggy egg salad sandwich on a ordinary wheat bread- maybe they were pre-made. Everything else was underwhelming and to my horror - no cookies!!!! I think the food is okay but the lazy, rude and exonerated staff made it a really bad cuisine experience. Hopefully the owner can look into these issues - mainly the rude server..

Yelp
One of the few top notch cafe restaurants with a neighborhood feel that offers yummy big size sandwiches, hearty soups and various sides: apsaras, rice, broccoli and chips in the area. Did not disappoint on quality, quantify and the price is worth it as you leave the restaurant full and satisfied. And if you don't want to go home empty you can even take a big plastic container home of your favorite soup. The restaurant is as busy outside as it is inside. The sandwiches are premade and heated on the hot press on the spot and the soups have a homemade quality. I have tried their sweet breads another time and they are absolutely delicious. You must try them! Lemon poppy or mocha chocolate are my favorites-you can buy a slice or a whole loaf!! They offer catering too! Upgrade your work lunch with various sandwiches and sides!
google avatar

Lydia J.

Yelp
This has become my go-to spot for when I crave some good sandwich, healthy sides, or soup/salads. I love how fresh everything tastes! The price isn't unreasonable but it's not on the lower side either but they are generous with their portions. Their tomato basil soup and chicken pesto panini are some of my favs. I've also tried other sides such as broccoli, slaw, salad, quinoa, etc.--all of which has been good. They sell pre-made breads too, but I've never tried them. It gets really busy during lunch time; however, there are a lot of tables. I definitely recommend for simple, yet homey food!

Yelp
Me and my wife came here for our weekend lunch. This place is located in the same strip mall as Brooklyn cafe. Here either you can order a la carte, or you can order from their lunch combinations for example: 1) sandwich side and soup combo, 2) 1 entree 2 sides 3) 3 sides etc. My wife opted for sandwich side and soup combination, where as I opted for 3 sides option. You can add extra meats to your meal (that day they had grilled chicken breast and salmon). I opted for half chicken breast. They have different types of green salads, black rice salad quinoa salad etc. They also have different types of pasta. They have 3-4 different types of panini. Paninis looked really good., The food here looked very healthy. Tasted also very good. Here you go to the counter, order your food, pay the bill, wait for few minutes to get your food and take seat of your choice. Food comes out pretty quick, because except the sandwiches everything is precooked. Paninis are made to order. They have indoor as well as patio seating, The day we went weather was very nice, sunny but neither hot nor humid, so we opted for patio seating. Overall very good experience.

Yelp
I mean, that was one of the best lunches I've had in a long while! Fantastic selection of soups, salads and sandwiches! The chicken-pesto panini is off the charts and the Gumbo was perfect! This is my go to spot for lunch from now on. Close to my office and fast service. I can't wait to recommend this to friends and family!

Lindsey L.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place! Service is always friendly and food always exceed expectations.

Yelp
Really great place! We lived our food. Wish they had more vegan options. We loved the Kale Salad the most.

Yelp
Fast and good. Several options. I wish the pre made sandwiches and wraps were made to order. Some contained things i didn't like. That would be the number one thing I'd like to see change. Somewhat of a ladies lunch spot. Overall a very enjoyable lunch. Expect to see someone you know if you reside in Sandy Springs.

Yelp
Not the friendliest customer service. But the food is good. Just wish the sandwich had more meat. Where's the beef???!!!

Yelp
My food was delivered via foodsby to my office and I was pleased with my Cuban sandwich. I would be interested to visit the actual restaurant now. It was a bit pricey but the Cuban was good. Not too much mustard or mayonnaise. The bread was good, probably better when first warm. I will visit the location now.

Yelp
Great Sandy Springs eatery. Food is consistently delicious which is why the line is consistently out the door. They cater too which is amazing. Always a win at Breadwinner!

Yelp
Today's lunch included a dry, stale piece of loaf cake and a Ceasar salad made with blackened, limp, lettuce. Disappointment from a restaurant who normally serves super fresh food.

So disappointed. I really wanted to like them. I saw the Shofar so Good Apple and Honey and thought wow that sounds amazing I have to try it. Complete disappointment. Dry, zero honey taste. At almost $20 for a relatively small loaf that is not an experiment I'll look to try again.

Yelp
TLDR: If you're looking for a way better and local version of Panera for sandwiches, soups, salads, and sweet bread, go here. Upon looking for a place for some lunch and a place to read, Breadwinner looked the most appealing out of the myriad of options available in Sandy Springs. I came here on a late Saturday morning and a really great experience coming here for an early lunch. Breadwinner is in a moderately large plaza with other restaurants and businesses, but there is plenty of parking here if you end up driving here. You can see the patio from outside and there's a good amount of outdoor seating available. When you go inside, you can see many of their menu offerings on display available to eat there or bring to go. The best option for lunch in my option is just going with the lunch special which gives a combination of three different food items. I ended up going with a half sandwich, half salad, and cup of soup. For just under eleven bucks, it's such a good deal considering the amount of food you get is really generous. The most popular sandwich according to the staff is the chicken pesto panini and for good reason. The chicken is well cooked, the pesto is just right, and even the half sandwich is a lot of food. They do pre make the sandwiches, so they'll press it for you prior to serving. The kale salad and the turkey chili were both very good and I probably would get them both again. It's not your typical breakfast, but the sweet breads are apparently really good too. I highly recommend the mocha chocolate chip bread. It was very moist and just the right amount of sweetness. I had it as a dessert after lunch and would definitely order it again. Best of all, the service here is really great and the staff are all very friendly. Overall, just a great place to have lunch and will definitely be back here again.

Yelp
Out of the 3 items I had here... only 1 item really pleased me. Well, I guess I got 4 items and only 2 items were actually good. But the last item I got was a cookie (it's hard to mess up cookies). Overall, a 3.5. The past few years, I've realized that I am not a sandwich person, ha. Not sure why.... I was hoping Breadwinner would change my mind. Parking is great here. Breadwinner is in a strip that's full of other shops, but parking spots are plentiful. Nothing to worry about! Pretty sure you'll only have to look maybe 30 seconds before you find a spot. Space - Kind of small. But not a tiny shop. Just that you may have to wait a few mins if it's a full house. they do have several 2-4 man tables as well as a long table. But.. they can only seat so many without running into a full house situation. Service - You'll have to get in line and the order. A slow method. Food: I really loved their GF Brunswick Stew. It was delicious. It also felt light, which I liked. I hate when stew is so heavy and after you eat it, you kind of want to hurl. I would come back for this. Just added some some hot sauce to make it a little spicier. Caesar Salad - The lettuce wasn't fresh and tasted okay. Maybe because the lettuce wasn't dark lettuce I kind of didn't like it... Eh. Just wasn't what I preferred Chicken Parm Sandwich - I got the wrong sandwich. Overall taste was meh. Was bland. I honestly think I ordered the wrong thing. Not sure how to explain the the taste, it just wasn't what I hoped for. Cookie was great! And huge. Nice dessert to go.

Yelp
Came here for coffee and baked goods. After 4, they have neither. Good entrees yet no baked goods.

Yelp
The best chicken & rice soup ever!! So comforting, makes you feel like your grandmother made it. I come here AT LEAST once a week (it's hard to find good sandwich/soup places in ATL for some reason), and pretty much everything I've had is delicious. Love the turkey chili, tomato basil, turkey ruban, cuban, grilled pimento cheese, and pasta salad (just to name a few). Kind of expensive, but fresh and delicious!

Yelp
As a fan of the lunch special, I love the ability to pick and choose and build my lunch of a large menu of options. The food is delicious, the salads and soups sometimes rotate, and none are bad. Now, the grilled pimento cheese, I can't get it hot enough. even if I stuff it in my face first, its never hot enough for the cheese to be properly melty and not cold in the middle. Now the soup can scald your tongue off. But the sandwich, not so much. Really if thats my only complaint. Because I'm not a pimento cheese aficionado I just assume it should be like a grilled cheese.

Yelp
The sandwiches here are absolutely wonderful. They have a daily sandwich in addition to the menu items. Their gazpacho is fresh and flavorful and the tomato bisque is also delightful on a cool day. A whole or half grilled chicken breast can be added to any of the salads you stand in line to order and pay at the end of the counter and seating is self serve. They sell various items for take away and also have a few dessert items. Overall a good dining experience.
