Large sports bar with TVs for watching the game plus numerous billiards & ping-pong tables.
"Break Bar is like an amusement park for adults. Instead of face painting and teacups that spin you around until you’re nauseous, this huge, industrial space in Astoria has pool and ping pong tables, mini bocce courts, and giant Connect 4. All the activities make it a great spot to day drink with a group, but this also happens to be one of the best sports bars in the city. There are pitchers of beer, great Buffalo wings, and TVs and projectors everywhere—including around the pool tables in case you feel like multitasking." - Bryan Kim, Kenny Yang, Matt Tervooren
"Break Bar is a huge pool hall in Astoria with big screens and projectors throughout the space (sometimes playing volume for games), but if you’re not interested in watching Lebron drop 50 on the Knicks, there are also lots of pool tables, as well as ping pong, foosball, darts, and arcade games. There’s a full menu of bar food, too, and if you like BBQ or Thai food, Strand Smokehouse and Pye Boat Noodle are both a couple blocks away." - matt tervooren

"Not drinking at a sports bar can be difficult. That’s partially because it’s hard to watch the Knicks sober, and partially because there’s nothing else to do during two hours of State Farm commercials. We can’t really help you with the first thing (besides suggesting a new owner, GM, and players), but if you go to Break Bar in Astoria, at least you’ll have plenty of other things to keep you entertained. The huge space has pool and ping pong tables, mini bocce courts, and giant Connect 4, as well as some great buffalo wings." - matt tervooren
"Bring someone to Break Bar in Astoria when you need a variety of things to distract you from having any kind of meaningful engagement with someone. Not only are there pool and ping pong tables, but there are also mini bocce courts and games like giant Connect 4. If all else fails, there are tons of TVs and projectors, so your focus can shift to whatever game is on. If you come during Happy Hour, you can get beers, waffle fries, churros, and other things for $6." - kenny yang
