New San Diego Restaurants and Bars That Have Opened During the Pandemic - Eater San Diego

"Coffee and wine come together at Breakers, a new addition to the Del Mar Highlands Town Center. With ties to a San Marcos coffee farm, the roastery and restaurant is open Wednesday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. with a full coffee program plus wine flights and a menu that runs from avocado toast to flatbreads and cheese and charcuterie boards." - Candice Woo

Nice little spot with a cool little view. 2nd level next to the Sky Deck. The decor and overall set up is good. Ordered one one of the house blends, ‘Cyrus the Great’, over ice vanilla and oat milk. Got a tri tip breakfast burrito as well. Burrito wasn’t terrible. Coffee was decent as well. I will say that it seems like most of 5 star reviews were from folks who come here for the wine, which I didn’t try ( I don’t drink)….so just take that into consideration when reading this review as my experience was limited 👌

This might be the highest quality coffee I’ve ever drank. The owner was so welcoming and hospitable, he even walked us through the flight of coffees and explained their origin stories and what he’s looking to have in the rotation next. This has a cozy space with room to work inside or outside, and it’s nestled in a really nice shopping center. I highly recommend this place for people who are really into coffee, or those who are interested in exploring unique and original coffee flavors.

My wife and I came to Breakers for a glass of wine and we find out they have a mimosa flight! That's something you don't miss!! The mimosas were good! The place is very very nice, the ambience, the staff so friendly! Can wait to come back in the morning for a cup of coffee, since they have their own coffee toaster machine!! Also need to try the happy hour!!

Great food, great service. Loved the outdoor seating. I had a Greek salad with chicken added. It was delicious. The portions are a good size and very fresh.

I'm having a great experience at Breakers! The service is amazing! They get that you can drink coffee and wine, and helped me pair a Decoy Merlot and Caramel Macchiato with oatmik. I ordered the brioche french toast - not too sweet, with fresh berries, and the bread is fresh from O'Briens. The staff is great, so responsive and helpful. I can't wait to come back!

I came to Breakers for a dinner and some wine with my husband and baby girl. We were blown away by the outstanding service, atmosphere and incredible food. We ordered the cheese charcuterie board and pesto flatbread. We could not believe how fresh the flatbread was with so many flavors. The charcuterie board had so many items from 5 different cheeses, jam, salami and more. We loved the rosemary touch on the edge. This was the BEST charcuterie I have ever had- the crackers melted in my mouth and the cheese was so fresh!! I always order the charcuterie board at every winery/restaurant and this by far is the best quality. The staff was super helpful and the Sommelier there helped me pick out my favorite glass of wine. As for the prices- the atmosphere, customer service and quality of food is worth it - much better than any place surrounding!! We can't wait to go back!!!

Sadly, this location is closing down! The shortsightedness of Del Mar Highlands ownership jacking up lease rates on local businesses is abhorrent. Well, it was good while it lasted- hope they find a new better location! My chai tea was delicious at least.
