"Regulars of this Duluth establishment say the drive is worth it for the veritable meat parade of Korean barbecue and a smokeless dining room. Meats are pre-cooked in the kitchen and then finished tableside on electric grills. The downdraft system on the grills prevents eyes from burning or clothing perfumed in meat. There’s now a location in Dunwoody." - Eater Staff

Breakers seems to offer the most variety for the best price. Everything was UNBELIEVABLY good and exceeded our expectations. Our waiter, Chandler, was super attentive and on top of things the entire time. Amazing service and the food was unmatched! We will be back.

Google
Absolutely with out a doubt the best Korean BBQ place that I have been to in Atlanta. Their menu is very easy to understand and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They were running a dinner special cocktail that was a great deal, I tried the Litchi Fruit cocktail and the Korean Yogurt cocktail which were great! The staff comes around and helps you cook the food which I like so I don’t have to work to hard on my dinner. Will definitely be going back to this place. Our server was happy to bring out extra sides as well. Excellent Kimchi too!

Service is excellent! Server was very attentive and they will grill your food and cut them into pieces for you. Combo A for 3 people is what we ordered and the meat was excellent and very yummy! Meats were properly seasoned and very very good! Atmosphere is tastefully decorated and elegant. It is not as loud as some of other BBQ ventilation systems. Definitely will come back again!

I found this location as part of top Korean bar BBQ places in Atlanta. Fought traffic but it was worth it. We selected the all you can eat B because I wanted shrimp and other meat options that weren't on plan A. Cooking your own meal makes you a bit more appreciative once it's done. The spicy chicken and shrimp were the best to me. They also had a buy one get one for the Korean cocktail which I took advantage of. I had peace and strawberry. Our server David was super nice. Constantly available and when we decided we wanted help cooking our meal he kindly performed the task. Great atmosphere. Clean establishment down to the bathroom. I do not reside in Atlanta. But I plan on going back whenever I do return.

July 2019: All my other reviews speak for me haha, I just wanted to say that our server, Anna, was amazing. She was quick and had everything we requested to the table fast. She also refilled our drinks without us having to ask which is awesome. Thanks Anna!! Feb 2019: As usual, amazing. Dan, our server, was really great! One of the best servers there for sure! Sunshine is always so pleasing and sweet! Even when we're not in her section, she constantly walks by checking on us to make sure we have all we need! Both two amazing servers! october 2018 I would die for this place....jk, but really. SO good as always!!! I had the ginger peach bellini, it was not bad, just extremely sweet!!! First drink I tried (can't remember name) had aloe water, sake, and i think coconut in it I believe. It was very interesting! On the sweeter side, but I would try it again! They need to balance out the portion of peach they put in it lol. Could have used a little more ginger because I didn't taste any really. The noodles they have are absolutely delicious, make sure to ask for some! You're missing out otherwise. I got tired of eating there so much so decided to switch it up and try the scallops out, they were good!! It was about 6 or 7 and they slice them thinly and serve them to you on a plate. Same as the meat, you cook them yourself. Of course, 10/10 as always breakers! september 2018 I Come here all the time. They have $2 draft beers I think on tuesdays or wednesdays. The brisket is really good! This is the best korean bbq in general, but also love the fact that they have lots of beef selections! july 2018 Came here again, which I come here pretty often lol. This time, I discovered a new phenomena. Making a mini brisket roll mmmmmm. Pictures below to see what I mean. You wrap up the brisket in some rice paper, pickeld radish, bean sprouts, and throw some lettuce and carrots from the salad. Then roll it and it's delicious lol. Anyways, service is always great. But our server this time really topped it off, he was amazing and checked on us frequently to make sure everything was great. His name was Young, and he was truly awesome!!! 7/27/18 update As usual, delicious. Brisket and short rib are the best. Make sure to get the noodles. Servers Sung and Young are awesome and so is the manager Stephen!

While the menu is condensed, Breakers does meat well. The bulgogi is by far the shining star here at this restaurant. Staff are helpful and attentive, so you’re never left waiting on food. The japchae (noodles) served in the banchan (side dishes) is easily the best I’ve had at a Korean BBQ. Warm, flavorful, and full of a rich sesame taste. The meat itself is pretty good quality. Obviously not the highest quality due to the price, but you can’t beat it. For a $25-30 all you can eat dinner, this is fantastic. Easily worth the price and they have a decent selection of meats!

Breakers FTW!! I recently came here for a birthday dinner and it was a big group, maybe about 14-16 of us. Our server Jin was awesome and took care of all of us at all times! We did AYCE ($27.99) which comes with a variety of options you can choose from including beef brisket, beef bulgogi, pork belly, teriyaki chicken, squid, shrimp, beef short rib and more. They have so many good banchan as well but I think my favorites were the corn cheese, and the stir fried noodles. On Thursdays they have BOGO Soju Cocktails. We all loved this idea and got a couple of them to try out. We ordered peach, mango, electric blue lemonade, and yogurt. They were strong and yummy but the yogurt was my least favorite. When you check in on yelp you can get free dessert, so we got free ice cream that nice as well. We left STUFFED! and happy because they food was so good.

This place offers "all you can eat menus " which is good if you don't know what to order. This allows you to try most of their food. The service was great. You wash them cook for you.

Yelp
The place is more or less self service where you place your order at a digital kiosk right by the entrance. You can grab utensils, cups, napkins, and sauces at the back where the food comes out (they call your order number out via automated voice). The restaurant itself has a classy setup to it with warm lighting and light piano music playing (at least when I went). Place isn't loud and had a mix of young and old clientele. The staff were friendly enough but I didn't personally interact much since so much of it was, again, self service. The food was good, although it really can be customized to your taste depending on how much sauce/condiment you put in - I had the cold buckwheat noodles and that requires you add some vinegar and a wasabi-like sauce to add some flavor to the noodles. It's one of the two dishes they specialize in, so I'm interested in trying their other dish when I come back (the other being a type of beef bone broth soup that Koreans traditionally enjoy during cold weather or when they're not feeling well).

Yelp
Tried the namesake Naju gomtang. I liked it, though it was a bit plain because mostly the same meat slices in white soup. I'd probably get the mixed next time to get a variety of texture. Loved the "Yooksoo", or hot broth that you can help yourself to. Slightly gingery but still good. The banchan, kimchi were all good. I really love the self service, helping yourself, and not be a burden to ask for things like napkins. Same as Sambong Nengmyun. Great meal, will be back!

Yelp
3.5 stars - does the job for naengmyun! But I still think sambong naengmyun across the street is a bit better in terms of portion size and taste. Self service with soups and cold noodles. We got the mul naengmyun and bimbim myun which came with a bowl of soup (great!). The mul naengmyun was pretty light and you really have to add sugar/vinegar/mustard to taste. I like their combo cold noodles + meat deal- still more expensive than I would like but comparable to local competitor Sambong Naengmyun. I also like how the cold noodles are refreshing and the broth had ice. Again though I think it could have had a richer flavor. They also have self serve bone broth too which was on the salty side. All in all another nice addition to the cold noodles restaurant list in Duluth. And very popular among Korean families!

Yelp
Ordering: Easy at 2 kiosks by the door. Menu is on large screens above the kiosks also so you can see while in line. A nice addition would be like some bubble tea places where you can order online in addition to the kiosk. Things will bog down when a large group is ordering and one person is paying. Food: Ordered spicy short rib soup. Your number is called when it is ready for pickup at the counter. Total time took less than 10 minutes. Broth was very enjoyable with some big chunks of short rib with some glass noodles and mushrooms. Ambiance: Located in the old Breakers the inside is spacious. It's well lit and has a light color scheme that projects clean and efficient. It doesn't seem like the kind of place where you would want to hang out with low mood lighting, loud music etc. Most people ordered and left quickly. By 6:30pm on Sunday every table was filled but there wasn't a wait at the door since the customers weren't treating this like the coffee shop. This is a winner if you want a fast convenient meal.

Ishamar R.

Yelp
They offer cold noodles, soups, and limited meat dishes. It's a self service restaurant(no tipping) so you order at the kiosk, grab your utensils, sauces, food, and drinks at the front. After ordering, the food was served pretty quickly. We ordered the short ribs soup & cold noodles combo with grilled beef rib. The short rib soup was light and comforting. They give 2 pieces of meat with side dishes and rice. The cold noodle portion size was pretty big and the noodles were chewy. The restaurant is really pretty but also simple .

Yelp
I would say the cold noodles are comparable to Sambong Naengmyun. Both are self serve style restaurants but here, you order at the machine (2 available at the entrance) and it prints out your ticket and you pick where you want to sit. The restaurant (formerly Breakers) is spacious and definitely not as cramped as Sambong. There is some classical music in the background so the atmosphere is pretty nice, as well. When you pick up your food, there's utensils, extra bowls, condiments (vinegar, mustard, salt, pepper, extra chili, etc), and some hot broth (really good)! Galbi was fairly standard. I like the soup base here more (less gingery, cleaner taste). The short ribs in the galbitang were also really good. We'll be back!

Wendy D.

Yelp
I love this place! It's affordable, the portions are great and the food is fantastic. It's self serve so you don't have to pay tip. The food comes out quickly, and there's a giant container of soup that you can self serve and it is delicious!! I went up multiple times to get another round of soup, incredibly flavorful broth, even better than the seollongtang that I got. They give you banchan and the portions were great so I'd say this place is very worth it. You seat yourself and the inside is clean and modern, you order at the kiosk which is pretty quick. Their menu isn't very large, mostly soups and cold noodles. There's also an easy parking lot and megamart across the street if you want to do some shopping. I think this place just opened but I wish I knew about it earlier!

Yelp
Food: The CHEWIEST bibimyeon I've eaten! But to be fair, I've hadn't eaten a lot of it. If you're looking to try something new in the heat, order it; it's cold noodles in this soft spicy sauce. My friend ordered the galbi-tang, which I also like and it's good if you're looking for something hot. But I did find it weird why my entree didn't have side dishes while my friend did. Usually Korean restaurants give everybody side dishes. Service: it's self service. Very organized and easy to navigate through. I thought the hot fountain had tea, but it was actually broth lol. So be aware of that. Ambiance: CLEAN. FRESH. NEW. Bathroom is nice too. I did wish they gave metal chopsticks to make the place more elegant rather than wooden chopsticks. This place is VERY close to a 5 star rating. The food is good, but not 5-star good. If I could give a 4.5 star I would.

Yelp
Beautiful interior, calming ambiance, delicious food. I'm glad I checked Yelp ahead of time so that I knew how to order from the touchscreens at the entrance. The restaurant was not very busy at 8:30 pm on a Tuesday night. After a long day of travel, the mul naengmyeon and LA galbi were very comforting. A delightful Korean reality show was on the TVs in the background. I think I saw on the sign that the kitchen closes half an hour before official closing time. A family with a young baby entered shortly before 9:30 pm and still got to order food.

Yelp
It looks like Sambong just got their first line of competition and I'm here for it. May the best cold noodle joint win. This spot is huge. They took over the former Breakers KBBQ place so there is plenty of room for dates, parties, and hangs. It's well lit. The seating is plentiful, the decor is not too shabby, and overall, it's a comfortable place to hang out and just enjoy the food. Since this is a cold noodle place, I had to simply follow suit with what I normal get from Sambong. The naengmyun and marinated pork neck combo. I will say the wait was a bit longer than expected... So now for the food. The broth of the cold noodles had a deeper flavor to it. It's not bad comparatively to Sambong, but it is a different. There's almost a sour-like blandness to it that doesn't have the same bite as Sambong. It's almost like there's a different richness that is lingers on the palate offering a different flavor profile. The noodles were a bit different. It seemed like they were hand made but the chew is different. They almost seemed like they were undercooked in a sense as they were grittier in a way. Again, not bad, just different. I was a little disappointed in the flavor profile of the pork neck. There wasn't enough marinade on the meat. The portion size of the pork neck was amazing! They piled on the meat, even if it sat on a bed of onions, it lasted my whole bowl of noodles which I can't say for Sambong as they give you some big slices sure, but you get maybe 7 pieces of meat if you're lucky. Naju's pieces might be small but the serving bowl it comes in is heaped with meat which I'm not mad at at all!!! All in all, this was a pleasant experience. They are about $1 more in price compared to their competitor but rest assured, it's the same business model. Grab your condiments, grab your complimentary hot beef broth, sit, wait, and then grab your entrees. The competition is heating up and I'm not mad at it!!! Check this place out as a new Sambong alternative!!!!

Yelp
We arrived late and were unaware that the kitchen closes an hour earlier, but Mr. Song Ju kindly accommodated us with great hospitality. The food we received was incredibly fresh and tasty, making it the best Korean soup I've ever had. The restaurant is impeccably clean and the atmosphere is fantastic. I highly suggest this place to anyone seeking Korean cuisine in the Duluth area. We will certainly return to sample more dishes.

Yelp
New self-service Korean soup restaurant. This is where Breakers used to be. Plenty of parking and the most spacious Korean self-service restaurant so far, that I know of. Everything is self-service. You order at the two kiosks located to the left and right of the entrance (card only), you can pay cash if you order up front at the register. The condiments for cold noodles (vinegar and mustard), salt, pepper, sugar, utensils are all located in one area. The sugar is white and salt is kinda dark. Don't get it mixed up because I poured sugar into my soup they also provide bone broth next to tray return and water is also on the side. It was extremely busy on a Sunday early evening, but almost dead on a Monday night. They serve different variations of seolleontang and gomtang. I don't really know the difference besides the fact that seolleontang is milkier than gomtang. My SIL had the gomtang ($12.99) and it was good! It comes with some meat and sweet potato noodles, already seasoned. The dumpling seolleontang ($14.99) comes unseasoned with three dumplings and thin white noodles. Husband had the spicy galbitang ($18.99? Forgot) that was mildly sweet (had a date) and spicy. It was also good. The hot soups come with kimchi, radish, green onions, and a bowl of rice. We also had the mung bean pancake ($5.99), which was a bit small, but had a nice crunch. The grilled pork plate ($14.99) was flavorful and also good. It comes with a bowl of rice, kimchi, and radish. I wish they had some more dishes that we could've ordered to share. We were also hoping they serve beer, but they only had soft drinks.

Yelp
New Korean spot located where Breakers KBBQ used to be. Right off the bat, the atmosphere is very clean and the lighting is good in the restaurant. You can order at kiosks at the front of the store and your number will be called once the food is ready for pick up. The prices are very reasonable. With most dishes ranging from $10-30. Taste was pretty good also. They also have free hot soup which was refreshing. Will come back again

Helen K.

Yelp
We got dumpling seullong tang and bibimbap naeng myun. It is a clean, pleasant, self service restaurant. As we parked, my daughter squealed with excitement that we were about to go to this nice looking restaurant! We loved the ease of ordering at the kiosk at the entrance and getting our drinks and utensils and stuff.

Tim C.

Yelp
Simple menu yet with enough variety to not be boring. Their cold noodles were one of the best I've ever had. The broth has more unami due to the amount of meat used (I think). There is free hot broth, and the cold noodles come with a cold clear broth. Everything was super refreshing! Will definitely come back

Yelp
Spacious self-serve Korean cold noodles and soup restaurant. My Korean sister told me this place is a hit among all K-family. We came on a regular Thursday lunch. Self-serve kiosk line wasn't too long. It seems more options compare to another similar Korean restaurant. Well Basically still cold noodles or galbitang soup sets. Probably this place is big, you may not notice there were actually many orders ahead of you. We waited for more than 10mins for the food to be ready. Cold noodles, texture is good, they don't stick together. I like how they give you an extra cold broth for my spicy noodles in case it's spicy. The short ribs are dry and tough, it's a little disappointing. They also serve hot bone broth. I just didn't expect it was seasoned and salty.

Monica L.

Yelp
I am not sure when this place opened up. But it seems that word has spread about it fairly quickly. My parents and I went for lunch around peak lunch time - Saturday 12:30ish. They were busy but not so busy that you couldn't find somewhere to sit. When you enter, there are 2 kiosks. You order your food on the kiosks and pay with a credit card. If you need to pay with cash you must pay up at the front counter. If you have a to-go order, you must pay at the counter as well. If you need any assistance there is a man walking around the restaurant - the kiosks, the tables, basically wherever he thinks he might be needed. Once you pay, you get a receipt with your number on it. You wait for them to call your number and then pick your food up at the counter. The trays that belong to you will have little receipts with your number on it. Also, if you aren't sure if they have called your number, there is a big screen in the front that shows the number they are calling. Anything that you are looking for - napkins, beef bone broth, silverware, mustard sauce, vinegar, dadaegi (a hot paste made with hot pepper flakes for soup), extra dishes, etc. is up front at the counter and is self serve. If you have leftovers, you can ask the nice ladies in front for a to go container. When you are done, you take your empty bowls, your garbage and tray to the front to their designated tray holder. All 3 of us had the plain bibim naengmyun. It came with a slice of Asian pear, half a boiled egg, a thin slice of beef, some seasoned radish and some cucumber if I remember correctly. The seasoning wasn't too spicy or sweet. In my opinion it was just ok. The all you can drink beef broth had a bit of a gamey smell. If you don't smell it and drink it, I think it's fine. If you give it a whiff though, you'll see what I mean. It was seasoned well. Not too salty. 3 stars for the flavor of the food. An extra star for convenience, set up, atmosphere, ample parking and fairly fast service. The business model is basically the same as Sambong Naengmyun. No tipping required. I would have taken pics but I left my phone in the car so maybe next time. I am planning to go back and try their soups Also, the plain bibim naengmyun we had was $11.99 a bowl. I don't remember the pricing of the other items.

Yvonne A.

Yelp
My goto order for any of these places with this concept is LA Galbi & Galbitang. They have spicy galbitang which other places don't. It's really spicy and delicious. But there were only 2 short ribs in the soup and barely any noodles. Good for people who eat less. The LA Galbi was on a metal plate that didn't sizzle the onions or keep meat hot. I really like their fresh kimchi. Huge plus is that they serve rice & Napa kimchi with all their dishes! I'm comparing it to the other shops and it's definitely a couple dollars cheaper in total.

Jennifer T.

Yelp
5 stars just based on their music choice, classical music at a reasonable volume. I brought my headphones in but I think I might just listen to the music. Self service kiosk or can order up front, brought out reasonably to picknup yourself and gather your supplies. Will update on the actual food once I finish. Update: food is

John H.

Yelp
New Korean Cold Noodles restaurant where old Duluth Breakers was. Insanely large space, could easily fit any group size. Self service ordering system. We ordered the original & spicy noodle with LA Galbi & Pork combo sides. Tasted very good and comparable to Sambong down the street. They have plenty of seasonings and radish to add on. Would definitely come again, especially for summer time!

Arabia K.

Yelp
You order at the kiosk and when your number is called you pick up your food at the counter. The staff is incredibly friendly and the food is awesome. Will definitely come back.

Tim C.

Yelp
Generally clean, self service, decent Korean food - operating system mimics modern Korean restaurants - kiosk order and await for being called for pick up food. I like the idea and pay only for food and tax, no crazily rising tips.

Frank E.

Yelp
Food was cooked properly. Self service. Nice atmosphere I would recommend this restaurant to all

Haejin B.

Yelp
A very nice decorated place and a separate room for a group but too much MSG. My husband and I had soups and had to drink liters of water the rest of the day to get it out out systems. I'm very disappointed that they used so much MSG in their soups and yuksoo. I don't think I'd ever go back or recommend it to anyone.

Seth P.

Yelp
Great & best place to taste Korean cold noodle and beef hot soup. Very cozy & warm place.

Alice S.

Yelp
the self service touch was nice! had the premium brisket and ox bone soup and i have no complaints. however, it didn't particularly stand out. i'll have to come back when it's hotter to try the naengmyeon
