"Breakfast Republic has locations throughout Southern California, where they’re serving classic brunch dishes — like benedicts, omelets, pancakes, and french toast — with a twist. The Oreo cookie pancakes come with a decadent cream filling and Oreo crumble, while their shrimp and grits breakfast plate consists of gouda cheese-infused grits and shrimp cooked with hot sauce, sweet corn, chives, and eggs. The drinks are also crowd pleasers, as Breakfast Republic offers an array of local craft beer and kombucha on draft." - Cathy Park

Are you guys looking for the ultimate breakfast spot? Well, I know a place! Breakfast Republic, where breakfast options are absolutely fabulous. During a recent trip, my companions and I were on the lookout for a great spot to enjoy a delicious breakfast. That's when we stumbled upon Breakfast Republic. From the moment we entered, we were greeted with excellent service. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of enjoyable. The ambience at Breakfast Republic is truly remarkable. The decor is welcoming, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere that is perfect for starting your day off right. Whether you're looking to relax with a cup of coffee or indulge in a hearty breakfast, this spot has it all. And let's talk about the food - it was simply amazing! The menu offers a wide range of options to suit every taste bud. From savory dishes to sweet treats, Breakfast Republic delivers quality and flavor in every bite. We tried a variety of dishes, and each one exceeded our expectations. I would rate the overall experience a 10 out of 10. If you're in the mood for a memorable breakfast experience, I highly recommend giving Breakfast Republic a try. You won't be disappointed!

I really like Breakfast Republic. I’ve enjoyed their shrimp and grits as well as an omelette. My only recommendation for the restaurant is to increase staff so the wait time is less. Once served, the service was great. Update: On a recent visit, staff was extremely accommodating and the restaurant was full! No wait time for table. Food was fantastic.

I ordered the Brioche French toast. I thought it was interesting that you have to pay for maple syrup. Especially when ordering pancakes or French toast. The food was good but nothing stood out about it. It was a nice experience. I did buy one of the rooster syrup dispensers. That was the best part of my breakfast.

Ever take a bite of something and instantly know you’re in the right place? That’s what happened to me at Breakfast Republic in Irvine. Let’s start with the Steak Chimichurri. This thing came out like it had something to prove. The steak was a perfect medium, juicy and rich—one of those cuts you don’t even need a sauce for. But then you get hit with the chimichurri… and yeah, it was different. More of a pesto style drizzle than the chunky garlicky kind I expected. Still packed with flavor, just a curveball. I respect the remix. Now the Eggs Benedict? No notes. Creamy hollandaise, runny yolks, crisp English muffin—it was textbook, and then some. I get why people keep hyping this one up. Add to that the egg scramble, which was so fluffy it felt like biting into a cloud that knew how to season itself. Total comfort dish. And if you’re a coffee person, do not skip the cold brew. Smooth, strong, and it tastes like they actually care about what’s in the cup. It’s not some afterthought. It’s part of the experience. But I didn’t stop there. I had to check out what other people were losing their minds over and trust me, the hype is real. The Mr. Presley French Toast gets love from just about everyone and I can see why. Stuffed with peanut butter and topped with bacon and bananas foster? That’s dessert disguised as breakfast and I’m not mad about it. Also, their Pancake Flight is a favorite—Oreo Cookie, Strawberry Cheesecake, even monthly specials like Tres Leches. It’s a sugar rush worth the crash. And don’t sleep on the Portuguese Linguisa Sausage Scramble—people swear by the spicy kick and fresh veggie mix. Atmosphere wise? It’s got that laid back bright energy. Feels like somewhere you could roll into half awake and still feel welcome. And the staff? Genuinely nice. Not fake nice. Like they actually want you to have a good time. Pro tip: This place fills up fast, especially on weekends. If patience isn’t your thing, get here early or expect a bit of a wait. It’s brunch. Worth it. Q: What should you order at Breakfast Republic? A: If you want flavor and comfort, go for the Eggs Benedict or the Steak Chimichurri. Sweet tooth? Mr. Presley’s calling. Feeling indecisive? The Pancake Flight’s got you covered. Final thoughts: Breakfast Republic is easily one of the best brunch spots in Irvine. Whether you’re posted up at UCI or just in the area wondering where to eat in University Center, this place is your move. Don’t overthink it. Just go. Now go get yourself that brunch. You’ve earned it. Would you like me to move onto the next step?

Busy, but worth the wait! Don't waste time trying to get in somewhere where there's no wait, you won't be sorry - you'll be mad since you would have missed this delicious breakfast spot. Coffee fresh, omelets just right, ambiance is welcoming.

Google
This was our first time here. First of all, our waitress Gloria was amazing! Knowledgeable about the menu and what her customers enjoy, that was helpful! :) we ended up getting the Jurassic Pork Benedict 😋 and the Shrimp & Ricotta Frittata Omelette 😋 Absolutely delicious!!! I would also recommend a hot chocolate and for the Latte loves the, Breakfast Republic Latte!! Enjoy :)

Google
Gloria was fantastic! This was our first time and she made some egg-cellent recommendations! The Protein Lovers scramble was really good and my 3-year old truly enjoyed their eggs and bacon! Plus the coffee cups and salt and pepper shakers are too cute!

Google
It's an outdoor breakfast cafe. Very generous large portions. Wide variety of omlettes, pancakes and french toast. Coffee and food taste great. Despite being fully booked, service was exceptionally fast. Loved the chicken sausages omelette with mushroom . Tried the coffee walnut cake which has good strong taste of coffee and is moist. The french toast platter for two is quiet big and fabulous.

Yelp
Despite the little wait to get a table, it was worth it! Our server was prompt, courteous, and took excellent care of us. I had the turkey pesto skillet tried something different from usual entrees. WOW! I was surprised. The flavor was spot on and it was delicious. I also had the Brussels sprouts with bacon. It's so true everything just tastes better with bacon. My friend had the Oreo pancakes and chicken sausage, also very good.

Yelp
My friends and I came here for brunch on a Saturday morning. It was pretty crowded but we got seated within 10 minutes. I got the Jalapeño Bacon Cheddar Sausage Omelette. It came with the sausage, garlic, onion, chopped bacon & cheddar cheese. It also came with house potatoes & choice of bread. I chose sourdough toast, which came with this delicious blackberry jam. Servers were friendly & helpful!

Yelp
There is little doubt that this location benefits greatly from it's proximity to the University of California at Irvine campus. This was 9am. The service was excellent with Gloria F. very attentive and helpful. The food was very disappointing. The ambiance was very loud, impossible to hear my wife across the very small table. The temperature outside was 58 degrees and the doors were open with no heat so I'm guessing 60 degrees inside. We had to order and eat very fast because of the temperature...and the noise. Very uncomfortable and fast breakfast. Eggs Benedict were cold. Portuguese sausage was so tough we could not cut with a knife. My scramble was cold and not very good. Potatoes cover half the plate on either meal and were cold and tasteless. Buttermilk pancakes were cold and syrup was lukewarm. If you just want breakfast and don't care about the noise, cold, or quality of food, then this is your place...they will give it to you with great and friendly service. If you're a university student and have to walk to eat breakfast then this is your place because there is nothing better within walking distance and you might not care about the food quality. Spending $54 plus tip for breakfast for two used to be a crime anyway. Now it seems more normalized. There are many better places.

Yelp
I just tried this location of Breakfast Republic for the first time. I've been to other locations and they all have a great theme and are known for their free range eggs. I love all the decor, funny sayings and they even sell merch! At this location, they have both indoor and outdoor seating. The parking lot for this location is a little crazy because it's in a busy parking lot near a Trader Joe's and Regal movie theater. I also noticed one entire row of parking spaces is only 30 minute spots. This restaurant always has a wait. It's very popular. I came on Sunday around 11am and thankfully it was only about 30 minutes. It would be really nice to be able to make reservations or even have an online waiting list. My experience today was pretty good, but service was a little slow. There were a few times we wondered where our server was at...but I just figured it was busy. The food was good, but didn't blow me out of the water. I had the strawberry mascarpone French toast and it was pretty good, but a little mushy and the strawberrys were just ok. I did however really like the potatoes as well as my chai latte.

Yelp
My party was seated right away on a Monday morning despite no reservation. I ordered the Crab and Crawfish Benedict, which comes with a side of taters. Let me just say, these were the best taters I've ever tried. The outside was lightly crispy while the inside was pillowy. The tater was seasononed well so the flavors were presented. The crab and crawfish benedict was absolutely delicious. The egg was poached to perfection since the yolk drizzle as I cut through. The bread had a nice bite to it with a crispy surface to juxtapose with the crab. The service was great since our waiter Morgan checked up on us every so often. I would bring my out of town friends here since this place is so good.

Mansi A.

Yelp
Yet again, I thoroughly enjoyed having brunch here with my family. Would be great if they could have a waitlist we could join before reaching the restaurant so we can avoid waiting for 1+ hours.

Yelp
I've been to Breakfast Republic a couple times for their egg benedicts but my friend and I decided to try out their chilaquiles (local's favorite) and their breakfast mac n cheese! The chilaquiles we added carne asada to and overall had a well-balanced, savory combination of ingredients with a pretty tomato-y salsa with chips more on the soft than crunchy side which I preferred. The breakfast mac n cheese was okay, but the texture and flavor both weren't hitting for us. Maybe it's because of the eggs, but the cheese/sauce was very watery and on the blander side, with the macaroni overcooked and falling apart - it wasn't bad but probably wasn't the best execution that day. Regardless - I do really wanna come back and try their shakshuka and their steak and eggs next time. Service was very nice and helpful despite being very busy, and overall a solid brunch spot in Irvine!

Yelp
First of all, my wife and I ate here Sunday morning for breakfast and we checked in at the hostess desk. We were told it would roughly be 20 minutes. So we decided to wait. After about 5 minutes I noticed one couple walk up and we're seated. About 1-2 minutes later another couple walked up and they were seated immediately. A few minutes later another group walked up and we're seated. I walked up to the hostess and I asked for an ETA to be seated and immediately you could see it on her face, she seated people before us and was caught. She then says, it's going to be about 20 more minutes. Ridiculous!!!! We were finally seated and waitress was attentive and courteous. We got our food and needless to say, it's like hospital food. The potatoes look and taste like they were frozen. The rice and beans were cold. It was just a sub level of food. So I'm giving the waitress 2 stars and the food 1 star. It was a subpar level of an experience.

Yelp
My in-laws were visiting from out-of-state and we wanted to take them to a place for good brunch. We've already tried Breakfast Republic when we lived in San Diego so we had a good feeling that this location was going to be just as good. We came here on a Monday morning at around 9:30 AM and there was no wait for a table of 4, although the place was pretty packed so it's possible there would be a wait if you came a little bit later. It did take a little bit of time for them to come by and give us our menus and some drinks. The patience will be worth it because the food that came out was amazing. I highly recommend the iced Ube latte! It was the perfect sweet little way to start the morning. I really liked my shrimp and ricotta omelette, which came in a really huge portion. My husband's crab Benedict was good too. I'll be honest. I've had better hollandaise sauce, but their version wasn't bad. I would read it as average. Service was decent... nothing too spectacular. Parking was easy although the closest spots to the restaurant are all 30 minute spots so you might have to park just slightly farther away for the two hour spots in their lot. When I mean "slightly farther away" I mean an extra 2 minute walk. Overall, it was a good experience and a place that I will continue to take visitors.

Yelp
The order: Jurassic Pork Benedict with Avocado and an Ube Latte The Benedict as a whole was okay. The English muffin wasn't toasted well and was a bit rubbery. The thick bacon strips of the Jurassic pork were really thin so just regular bacon seasoned well. I enjoyed the seasoning and it tasted really nice but was expecting a thicker slice of bacon as written. I feel like it also would have made it better. The house potatoes were kind of bland. Avocado was the right ripeness. Ube coffee was just Ube milk with a shot of espresso or some sort of coffee on top. However, the Ube flavor was lacking. Now why did I give them so many stars for medicore personal experience... Well I went with friends who got different food from me and they really enjoyed theirs. Their order: the harvest omelette with real eggs and tres leches pancakes, avocado toast They said the pancakes were everything and the omelette was done really well

Yelp
It was Saturday. We were a big party. They did the best they could. Service was good. Our group was split up. They get food out quick. We got steak and eggs. The eggs were fine. The steak was cooked perfectly. The sauce was ok. The bacon hash browns that came with it...the eat bite I had! The jam was delicious too. We also got the Brussel sprouts with bacon. Again, it was on a better side of fine. Everything was either fine or on the better side of fine. The hash browns and jam were excellent. The speed excellent. So a solid 4.

Yelp
Cute little restaurant near UCI. Came here at lunch time so parking was a little bit of a challenge. We had a large party and our food trickled out slowly to the table. As soon as someone's dish was ready, they brought it out and it sat at the table getting cold. Unfortunately, mine was the second dish to come out. By the time the eighth dish came out, my food was cold. I shared the Mr. Presley with my friend. I wanted to try it because it sounded really good, but unfortunately it was not. The bananas were hard and rubbery. There was little filling in the French toast, and the bacon on top was chewy. The other dish shared was the croque monsieur eggs Benedict. It was cold too, but I probably would have enjoyed it if it was warmer. I probably wouldn't return to this restaurant.

Raneem K.

Yelp
This is hands down one of my favorite breakfast spots I've been to. I'm usually always ordering Benedict's for breakfast but this steak was amazing. I still think about it to this day and it's been months. The place gets better busy and for good reason. The food is absolutely delicious and I have no complaints whatsoever. I think you get a lot of food for the amount you pay. The service is excellent and the whole atmosphere is very welcoming. Will definitely be coming back again to try the rest of the menu!

R O.

Yelp
We stopped for brunch here one afternoon and it was lovely. There's plenty seating indoors and outdoors. We got the breakfast jambalaya and chilaquiles along with the fresh squeezed orange juice carafe with a bottle of brut to share. We had the banana split French toast and everything was delicious. Definitely recommended.

Mui Mui K.

Yelp
Nice place, close to campus. Crowded on a Saturday but got a table within 10 minutes. Jurassic bacon is their signature item. The taste is great but it could be more crispy. Great friendly service and nice outdoor seating.

Joyce C.

Yelp
Food: Our table ordered the Brioche French Toast which the kids loved, the Breakfast Sandwich which was also good, and the traditional Eggs Benedict. Unfortunately one of the eggs wasn't poached well - it was more on the soft boil side. Service: We went on a Saturday morning and got seated immediately. The hostess did great. However the server took a bit to get to us and didn't really check on us for any refills, etc. We only saw the server twice, when we put our order and when we paid. Ambiance: The restaurant's ambiance is top notch. We loved the decor everywhere! Overall, we liked this place. We will definitely return. 4 stars because of the egg

Monique L.

Yelp
We had Austin as our server and he was incredibly professional, efficient and thoughtful!!! The food was delicious !! Thank you!!

Liz B.

Yelp
A great spot for an elevated breakfast, but gets very busy in the mornings as it is located right next to UCI campus. The longest wait I've seen is about an hour, but you can walk around the UTC while you wait. The shrimp and grits is my favorite dish, I've never been a fan of grits until I tried theirs! It's extremely savory and delicious.

C L.

Yelp
5 = food 5 = service 5 = ambience Great place for brunch. I had their chilaquiles and a side of the Jurassic bacon. The portions are big. The chilaquiles was pretty good, But I do like my chips crispier. I was hoping the bacon was crispier as well, but since it is so thick, it's hard to be crispy. They have several items that are pretty unique so I would want to come back and try them. Service is great. I came here at the right time because I did not have to wait since I sat outside. The restaurant was quite busy. I love the decor and atmosphere. There was plenty of parking at the time that I came but I know that the parking lot can get pretty busy.

Jamie S.

Yelp
im typically not a huge brunch food person but i really enjoyed the scramble with hash and toast! +the lychee mimosas were amazing, definitely my favorite servers were great, no complaints at all. great atmosphere and plenty of big tables for a nice brunch out with friends, parents, etc just make sure you put your name down earlier during busy days and hrs :)

Olivia C.

Yelp
First time here, came in around 8 am and there was only one server working. I ordered the tostadas and they were good!! But I felt bad for the server. Everything took awhile but I understood because she was alone. Seems strange that only one person was working when there were a good amount of people for a Tuesday morning. Even though service was slow it was great and I'd come back again. The decor was cute and overall ambiance was great

George S.

Yelp
Found this breakfast spot when visiting UC Irvine. The restaurant had a lot of customers and the wait time for a table was not too bad, about 15 min. We had the California chicken breakfast burrito, traditional Eggs Benedict, pineapple upside down pancakes and Banana split French toast. The breakfast burrito seemed a bit under seasoned and was served with rice and beans. The eggs Benedict was okay. The pancakes and French toast were good. Service was good, and the servers were very attentive. They have seating inside and outside. Overall, not a bad place, but nothing too special.

Christal M.

Yelp
As the name suggests, this place is all about breakfast. It's a cool spot that gives off quirky country kitchen vibes. It would be nice if they took reservations or offered Yelp waitlist because I've heard the wait times can be long. Luckily, we only had to wait 15 minutes on a Saturday afternoon. Unluckily, once we got seated the service was pretty slow and it took awhile to place our order. Their menu consists of your basics like scrambles and benedicts, but they also have things like breakfast bacon mac & cheese and breakfast jambalaya. They've also got some unique flavors when it comes to pancakes and French toast. I had to get the Pancake Flight ($16) so I could try 3 different flavors. Pineapple Upside Down was my favorite topped with pineapple butter and pineapple pieces. The Cinnamon Roll was good too but definitely sweet. I didn't get much cheesecake flavor from the Strawberry Cheesecake and it was the only that needed syrup. It's silly but I was disappointed the syrup didn't come in the cute rooster dispenser as seen on social media. I also tried some of my friend's Shrimp & Ricotta Frittata ($17) and it was pretty good. The frittata had a lot of veggies and flavor but the shrimp was bland. The best part was it came with a mountain of crispy potatoes. Next time I'll have to try their one of their drinks. They have a lot of options from specialty lattes to boozy brunch cocktails. I'll definitely be back, as long as the wait isn't too bad.

Mark H.

Yelp
Great food and specialty coffee drinks. I chose a bottomless Cafe de Olla with cream on the side then a pesto and mushroom Eggs Benedict. Strong and flavorful pesto. My adult daughter chose a hot salted caramel latte and a chicken fennel sausage omelet, no jalapeños. We both chose hash browns instead of house potatoes. Prompt and friendly service by Morgan! Funny message in the men's restroom

Kay D.

Yelp
Food 9/10 Service 10/10 Price 9.5/10 Overall it's a solid place everything was really good including the service. The portions were also really generous and everything tasted great. The only complaint was that some things were kinda sticky utensils and such. Also be sure to order in moderation because you will get tired of it - very synonymous flavors.

kendal m.

Yelp
The food was absolutely delicious and the ambience was the best. I ordered the Portuguese sausage scramble and it was soo flavorful and good. Our waiter was very prompt and nice. But unfortunately I will have to give it 4/5 only due to the birds that were stalking me and my mother's food while we ate outside. This place would be top tier if they could control the birds outside.

Alexa R.

Yelp
The first time I tried this place I didn't love it. I gave it another try and now I've gone multiple times and I love it. I have to always get the s'mores French toast and Oreo latte- those are my favorite things to order there. I switch between the steak and eggs vs the American breakfast (honorable mention of the shrimp and grits). They have so many things on the menu, it can be hard to choose what to order! I find their service great and the food comes out pretty quickly. They're in a pretty busy shopping center, but parking isn't much of an issue! Definitely can't wait to come back.

Mykalle B.

Yelp
We ordered the Chilaquiles and the French Toast at Sampler! Both were amazing but the chilaquiles blew it out of the park. If you're interested in French toast, I'd recommend the Strawberry with the Mascarpone. Also, Liz (Elizabeth) was an absolutely amazing waitress and made sure we were taken care of throughout our visit. This was my first time coming and she made me feel so welcome! Thank you!

Chris W.

Yelp
This is the spot to grab brunch if you are very close to UCI. I had the mushroom pesto Benedict and a pineapple upside down pancake. The benedict was visually pleasing but tasted standard. However, the pineapple pancake was perfect. It was like a dessert that I wanted more of. Sweet and fluffy. Next time I am visiting UCI this is what I will get. The waitress was attentive and polite. Of the downside of the restaurant was that it is noisy. I wouldn't want to have a try to carry a long conversation. Also expect to wait 40 minutes if you come on a Sunday afternoon.

Patti K.

Yelp
I've long wanted to try this place next to Trader Joe's because it was always crowded. As soon as I walked in, I knew why: we were greeted warmly, and they served alcohol! There were nice California twists to familiar breakfast items. I was particularly pleased with the potatoes upgrade, which included brussels sprouts. The brussels sprouts were nicely cooked and seasoned. I also ordered the mushroom 'n' pesto benedict. I was slightly disappointed that the English muffin seemed a little cold and soggy, as if it had not been toasted. Still, I was very hungry and it hit the spot. It was busy on a Monday morning, and the hard floors and walls had nothing to absorb the noise. On a weekend it would be even busier, and not the ideal place to take someone if you want quiet conversation. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I will probably be back next time I'm in the area.

Alyssa G.

Yelp
It was just ok. The ambiance and service were very nice but I probably wouldn't come back. I love all the nice little touches that make it feel brunch themed. But for me, food matters most and nothing was special about it. My boyfriend got the protein lover and unfortunately it tasted like something I could've made myself. It's not bad tasting, but I wouldn't order this and go for something else. The strawberry mascarpone was slightly better! Loved that bread, but the fillings weren't very flavorful. The surprising star was the brussel sprouts. I love brussel sprouts and this hit the spot. Nice roasted taste and it tasted good without needing much seasoning so the ingredients were fresh.

Laura J.

Yelp
SOOOO GOOD!!! I have seen this place so many times and finally gave it a shot this weekend. It did not disappoint. My fav new bfast spot nearby by FAR!! The breakfast sandwich was soooooooo good and had a really unique flavor that I loved. The strawberry cheesecake pancakes were mind blowing and the potato's were perfection!! The breakfast burrito was also amazing. So flavourful and not to mention HUGE! My friend said that it was his new fav breakfast burrito by far. Over all this is my new spot for weekend brunch! Loved it. Couldn't even take photos because it was so good and I didn't have time to pick up the phone.

Alison L.

Yelp
We found this place on a whim and I loved it. The food was very good, I really liked the shrimp and grits I got, even if it was on the spicy side. The chilaquiles was also very flavorful and the portions were perfect. I appreciated the fresh squeezed orange juice, and the service was great.

Nikkie C.

Yelp
The food was okay, i ordered the jurassic Benedict and the food arrived cold for some reason. The potatoes are bland and the bacon was too sweet for my liking. Service took a bit longer on bringing us the check despite not being busy. Ambiance was really cute and nice. I might go back and give it a chance when im around the area.

Andrew P.

Yelp
The service was prompt and friendly, contributing to the positive experience, especially since the Sunday Brunch crowd was very rowdy and loud. There are also some pigeons bouncing around eating fries or bread out of unattended tables, so be warned! They don't seem to be afraid of people :). But onto the food! The menu at Breakfast Republic is diverse, featuring a variety of creative and classic breakfast options. I opted for the steak and eggs, and it exceeded expectations. The presentation was Instagram-worthy, and the taste matched the visual appeal.

Alan P.

Yelp
Solid breakfast work in the kitchen hampered by one server doing his best Sunday 8:30am. Nice location w/ inside/outside seating options across the street from UC Irvine. Bacon with the American Breakfast was epic and Avocado Toast was quickly devoured. Eggs Benedict underperformed compared w/ the work at Poached Kitchen down the road. Toast and jam was delicious arriving after the meal as did water refills and bottomless coffee. Staff increased after the morning rush, with three tables of empty dishes left to be bussed and cleaned. Easy fix for management to schedule staff early the weekend after move-in at UCI.

Christine M.

Yelp
This place is so grossly overrated it boggles the mind. I don't understand how some places become so popular, to the extent that a 2 hour line forms outside of it's building, when one can receive better service and MUCH better food at lesser known places. The service wasn't bad, but the food is definitely not worth the long lines.

Emily C.

Yelp
My roommates and I walked in on Saturday at noon and waited around 20 minutes. Service was alright, not the most welcoming but fine. There were plenty of seats inside and outside. The decor was cute and on trend with the chicken theme. Parking is shared and free! We ordered a bottle of mimosa with orange juice, lychee syrup, and guava syrup to share. For our mains, we ordered the shrimp and grits ($18), american ($13.5), and turkey meatloaf hash ($14.5). The mimosas were good, however, I didn't like how we had to stir in the lychee and guava syrups with a wooden stick. I stirred too fast, and the bubbles overfilled my glass. The shrimp and grits were too watery, like soup, and the grits were undercooked with a grainy feel and hard center. The shrimps, corn, and their hot sauce were delicious though. The american breakfast platter was nice and simple, nothing spectacular. The turkey meatloaf hash was yummy, and pesto was a great touch. All the eggs were cooked to our liking, over-easy and perfectly runny. Overall, this was a pretty average breakfast spot. Prices were reasonable, and most dishes were good. Not worth any wait, and avoid the grits. I'd still go again when it's not busy for some good old fashioned breakfast.

Camelle T.

Yelp
solid brunch spot! came on wednesday morning and did not have to wait for a table. there's a nice outdoor seating area to enjoy your meal as well as inside seating. service was quick and hospitable thanks to our server Maxwell! i got the mushroom pesto benedict - it was good but a tad bland because i couldn't taste much mushroom. loved the flavors of the pesto and hollandaise though and the potatoes were perfectly crispy and salty. the banana split french toast was thick, and the bruleed bananas were the perfect topping along with the ice cream. overall, i had a nice brunch experience here and will most likely return!

Rose H.

Yelp
One of my favorite brunch places because of their brussel sprout potatoes. I also think they have the best orange juice I've ever had. Service was great, we were in a hurry so it was a quick in and out. Really busy in the morning on a weekend but we're able to be seated in less than 45 minutes. Can't wait to be back!

Sara M.

Yelp
My friend and I came for brunch and were seated quite quickly. There was seating both inside and outside, and we opted for outside since the weather was really nice. The service was fine, our server checked in a few times, asked us if we needed anything else, etc. The food itself was not good. I've gotten breakfast burritos from plenty of breakfast places before and this just wasn't good. It had little substance and lacked flavor as well. It wasn't the worst breakfast burrito I've had, but it's not one I'd be coming back for. I was also really excited about the horchata cold brew but it was very very watered down and had only the faintest horchata flavor if you really tried to find it. Overall, I love trying new breakfast places, but this was a very sad miss for me (and I had such hopes since it's so close to me!).

Yelp
And why do you want to come here? Because you need to meet Mr. Presley. You come here for the food. This is definitely not the first time coming here and love visiting for brunch. Mr. Presley is BR's peanut butter stuffed French toast, topped with bacon and bananas. Their S'Mores stuffed French toast is incredible as well. We couldn't be all bad so we ordered eggs and breakfast potatoes. You HAVE to order their breakfast potatoes. The savory, rosemary flavor makes these potatoes a must. - We came early this morning so the wait was not bad. There was already a good line flowing upon our arrival. The wait is usually longer. We were sat down by 20 minutes today and that was totally fine. This morning we found parking right away but just warning, be prepared for parking to not always be fun. Lastly, the service was great. The host was fun, our server took care of us well. Everyone is super friendly. Overall, a great brunch spot

Yelp
Gloria was wonderful and so attentive! Not only is the food amazing, high quality, and great ingredients, but there are plenty of healthy options. The protein pancakes were very great also. And I love the interior design! If I had to be honest, I would go back just to see Gloria, she was the real star. She is very warm, kind, and full of joy! You can tell that she loves what she does. Overall I think I will make this my new breakfast spot.

Yelp
Service was great! Maxwell was our waiter and he was super nice!! My omelette was okay... but the crap cake Benedict was so good. Coffee & mimosas were good too :)

Yelp
30+ minutes wait because we walked up. We people watched as we waited. A mixed crowd of mostly happy people, mixed with some panhandlers There were quite a few pesky birds outside harassing the outside diners at the restaurant. They even jumped onto tables and grabbed food. We sat inside of course and received attentive and great service. Quick and appropriate all the way. We had Eggs Benedict, assorted pancakes, and the American breakfast. The portions were large and delicious I was impressed with the food quality This is an interesting restaurant that I'm glad that I went to. I will return on my next trip to the UCI area.

Yelp
I just noticed that I posted a negative review that I meant to post for another business. Ao here is my review for Breakfast Republic: We went there on a Saturday for brunch. We had to wait for almost half an hour, which I guess it's not bad in Orange County. The service was great! I ordered the eggs Benedict and it was very tasty. There is lots of parking space. There is also Trader's Joes and a Target nearby, so we were able to spend our time there while waiting to be seated. Definitely go back again.

Yelp
Breakfast Republic Latte fire Breakfast Jambalaya Avocado Toast Ube Latte Conveniently located place that's doing #goodeats a little differently. I do wish the jumbaya was less wet and the toast was more substantial. The Ube latte could use more Ube flavor as well but I'd definitely come back for the signature latte. I didn't try the Benedict or the strawberry lemonade but my friend mentioned that he liked it. Service was ok, they put us in the corner booth and then kinda forgot about us. We had to go get a waiter multiple times when we wanted anything. The actual place is cute but the lighting here is horrible. It makes me kinda sleepy and it's not doing the food any favors. It casts a musty yellow color over everything.

Yelp
Finally got to try this place after wondering for so long if the four stars was worth testing out the taste buds and.. not only was it disappointing but talk about California super casual. When did we move to Hawaii and nobody told me of the surfer policy?? Without the 'brah' it's questionable service at best and breakfast your teacher could've made better if your mom didn't pick you up from school. The menu itself was filled with an overwhelming choices of compote on various batter or flat eggs next to 8-hour old heat lamp potatoes. The lunch lady would probably agree. Or maybe I just came after a 30-minute wait and somehow they've JUST ran out of fresh burners. Coffee took three times reordering and one cup was filled to 1/3 of the way because they needed to brew a fresh cup. Coffee runs out. I get it. But the name of this place is Breakfast Republic. Not to be confused with the banana one but unlike Banana R., this place isn't very vegetarian friendly nor do the icons mean anything to he who takes the order. Pancakes looked like two portions of a kids menu. But the price is average.. though what amount is worth spending to endure a failed breakfast. The least important meal?? The plating, the vegan options, lack of vegetarian options.. or at least none that looked special or induces hunger-- all just screams I'm in a nice restaurant in the dead of Arctic.

Yelp
Great breakfast and huge portions! I ordered the breakfast burrito and replaced the steak with the Portuguese sausage. I also replaced the side of rice and beans with potatoes instead and a side of toast. The jam here is TO DIE FOR, probably one of my favorite things even though it is so simple! Breakfast burrito is huge and packed with eggs, meat, guac, pico, etc and very filling. I could only eat half and packed up the rest for lunch. I really liked the potatoes. Usually am not a fan of breakfast potatoes because they tend to be pushy or soggy but these were perfectly crispy! Also ordered the oreo cookie latte which was very tasty but slightly inconsistent since my coworker ordered the same thing and hers was way more chocolatey and yummy so I guess it varies from worker to worker versus one consistent recipe. The vibe inside is super fun and eclectic. The server was very nice! It wasn't crowded at 7AM but any time I've been in the area around 11/12PM this place is PACKED and they only take walk ins, so heads up! Definitely will be back, if only for that DELICIOUS JAM!
