San Diego Restaurants Ordered to Shut Down Indoor Dining - Eater San Diego

"Among the many restaurants impacted will be Breakfast Republic in Liberty Station, which has been given a gift by its neighbor, Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens. Starting July 8, Breakfast Republic will be to use Stone Brewing’s Movie Courtyard, a separate dining area typically used for private events, for extra outdoor seating." - Candice Woo

Arrived thinking we would have to wait but we're immediately seated (great beginning to our breakfast). Our waitress was amazing (cheerful, huge smile, welcoming, and super helpful). Good selection of breakfast items, however, our food arrived warm and quickly got cold, so not as enjoyable as we hoped. Coffee is delicious and generously served. We were celebrating a special occasion and our waitress said she placed an order for something special for us to celebrate with (we thought that was super special of her to do that). We waited a few minutes and someone brought a bag out for us to take home... the only thing that I thought was not tasteful was that special item was added to our bill. I didn't want to say anything because I wanted our experience to end on a positive note but not something that I would have ordered or expected to pay for. Anyway, we had a fun time. UPDATE: Owner reached out and offered to correct the bill. Check #50 (6/21/25) 9:17am Table 5

This Breakfast Republic is so awesome! It’s a total vibe! It’s the most adorable little breakfast spot that I’ve ever experienced! The staff is so friendly and welcoming and the food is amazing! This is my go-to spot when I want to have a lovely sit down meal with great customer service. The must try menu items are the orange juice, the strawberry lemonade, the bacon mac ‘n’ cheese, the American, the strawberry and mascarpone French toast, the Portuguese linguisa sausage scramble, and the steak ‘n’ eggs. This is such a beautiful restaurant, and I look forward to my next visit!

An Okay Experience, but Not My First Choice for Breakfast Visiting from Sacramento, I was hoping for a solid breakfast experience, but unfortunately, this spot didn’t quite hit the mark for me. I ordered the breakfast burrito with rice and beans. The rice and beans arrived cold—not once, but twice—which really took away from the overall enjoyment of the meal. As for the burrito itself, the ratio of meat, eggs, and potatoes felt off, making each bite a little inconsistent. That said, not everything missed the mark. Our server was amazing—attentive, kind, and clearly doing their best to make us feel welcome. And the Mexican mocha? Easily the highlight. It was flavorful and piping hot, just the way I like it. I only wish the food matched that same level of care and warmth. Overall, this place was just okay. I probably wouldn’t make it my first choice for breakfast next time around.

Our waiter was fantastic. Sad I can’t remember his name but he was welcoming and knowledgeable about the food being that we were first time visitors. The aesthetics. Did not lie it was so beautiful in the inside. We did dine in, they do offer outside seating. Our cocktails were very pleasing we will be sure to come here for breakfast anytime we’re in the San Diego area.

My friend and I came here for brunch over the weekend, and the vibe was great. It's located in an arts district, and sitting under the morning sun made for a perfect, relaxed start to the day. The food was decent. Nothing mind-blowing. But the ube latte was a standout and worth trying. The service was excellent; our server was warm, friendly, and made us feel very welcome. This place is super popular, so I recommend getting in line early. My friend came an hour ahead to hold our spot, and by the time I arrived, there were already at least ten groups of people waiting at the door to check in. Parking at Liberty Station is fairly convenient with multiple lots and some street parking available.

Excellent breakfast right near the water. Located in the old barracks. Right in the bay next to downtown San Diego. Vegan options, vegetarian options, kids welcome. Brunch cocktails. Definitely get the vegan pistachio pancakes. They were delicious and you would never even know they were vegan.

Just added a new fave breakfast spot to our San Diego list!! Don't miss out on Breakfast Republic! Lots of great choices! I went out of my norm and had the shrimp and grits! Wow! Almost licked the plate clean...lol, I killed it, it was so good. Hubs had the chilaquiles, it was also a great dish for him because it's not spicy, but you can add it if you like spicy. He asked for the sauce on the side, next time he'll just have them make it the normal way. There's also a bar, looked like a lot of great looking drinks being made, mimosas too. There's one bathroom, it was clean. Staff was awesome, so friendly, great helping with recommendations. Atmosphere was busy, indoor and outdoor seating, we didn't have to wait for a table. They can accommodate groups, there were 2 groups of 8 while we were there and it didn't slow them down.

We stopped in for breakfast during our visit to San Diego after reading the reviews. We waited about 10 minutes before getting seated. The host was friendly and welcoming. Our waiter stopped by after we got seated and quickly took our order. We had the coffee, Upside Down Pineapple Pancakes and Breakfast Bacon Mac & Cheese. The Upside Down Pineapple Pancakes were bland and not very sweet. The menu stated they were topped with brown sugar, however we didn't see any on the pancakes. The Breakfast Bacon Mac & Cheese was very delicious and full of flavor and the coffee was very good.

Yelp
We had a fantastic experience at Breakfast Republic! We arrived just before the breakfast rush and were seated immediately, which was a great start to our morning. The service was excellent--our server was attentive and kept our coffee cups full the entire time. It truly felt like a never-ending cup of coffee, which we appreciated! The food was delicious, with generous portions at very reasonable prices. Everything was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. Whether you're craving something savory or sweet, their menu has plenty of tempting options. One thing we especially loved was their awesome merch available for purchase. From fun mugs to stylish apparel, they have some great souvenirs to take home. Overall, Breakfast Republic exceeded our expectations, and we'll definitely be back. Highly recommend stopping by--but try to beat the rush if you can!

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday morning with my sister and niece and we were really disappointed with our experience. We've been to their other locations, and remember it being a good spot, so we decided to check this one out. The wait wasn't too bad, 30-ish minutes for a Saturday. It was fairly busy, however, our table and the high chair that was already at the table wasn't cleaned up and full of crumbs. My sister ended up grabbing napkins from the bathroom and wiping down the high chair. We placed our order and upon opening our silverware realized it was dirty, so asked for another, that one was also dirty. So we were kind of grossed out, because two in a row is kind of wild lol. Also, when we told the server the 2nd one was dirty, she kind of blew us off and made us feel like we were tripping. What we got: - Pancake flight (Oreo, bacon, and pineapple): This was lukewarm at best. The softened butter on the pancakes didn't even melt, so you know the pancakes weren't warm enough to have them get a little melty. The pancakes were a little dense, but maybe that's what they were going for? - Crab and crawfish Benedict: with hot sauce and their special ketchup, this was good. Overall, this place is a no-go for me. I feel like I would've been more satisfied at Denny's.

Yelp
The food was great! - The top is the breakfast burrito and it was standard but good nonetheless. - Middle is the Jurassic Bacon and if you're Filipino then it has the tocino flavor to it! It's both sweet and savory. - The bottom is the Oreo pancake and this was my favorite! If you have a sweet tooth and love Oreos, this is perfect. The white glaze was just like the cream in the Oreos and with the abundance of Oreo toppings, it was heavenly! Would totally go back.

Yelp
I recently visited Breakfast Republic and, unfortunately, my experience wasn't great. When we arrived, we were ignored by the hostess despite being the first ones there. The service didn't improve much after that -- our waitress was pretty indifferent and didn't seem very attentive. The food was okay, but honestly, it lacked flavor and didn't live up to the hype. Overall, it wasn't the breakfast experience I was hoping for. On a positive note, they had a really inspiring quote on the wall that I appreciated. It was a nice touch amidst the disappointment, but I'm not sure I'll be back.

Yelp
After my morning flight, my friend picked me up, and we decided to look for a good brunch spot. Perfect timing--we finally got to try Breakfast Republic near the airport again after so long! I had steak and eggs, paired with a hot chai tea, and everything was delicious. The food and drinks were great, but keep in mind it's always packed. We waited for more than 30 minutes, which gave us some time to explore the pretty area nearby. The location is nice, though the noise from planes flying overhead can be loud. They only have one bathroom, and while the staff is friendly and attentive, they seemed a bit too eager to clear plates even while we were still eating. Overall, the food was amazing, but next time, we might try another location to see if it's less crowded and more relaxing.

Yelp
Tried this Breakfast Republic location for brunch this weekend. We arrived around 10am on Saturday and waited about 40 minutes for a table. The service was great, and our server (I think his name started with a Z) took good care of us. The vegan Tres Leches Pancakes were amazing, better than homemade and the pistachio brittle added a nice crunch. I would've eaten the whole stack, but I had to share with my husband. The Jammin' Bennie was tasty, but it could've used more hollandaise, it just had a small drizzle. The English muffin could've been toasted too. Finished it off with chamomile tea on a rainy Sunday. Food came out fast and kept me full until dinner!

Yelp
In liberty station, easy parking, smaller size so frequently going to have to wait Friendly efficient staff. So this review is based on a single dish over multiple visits. The steak, Churrasco sauce , three egg whites, Sourdough toast and a cup of steaming hot Mexican coffee is all you need to eat every morning for the rest of your life. Missing some Avocado toast and plant based protein? Then sashay over to the fig tree your friends are waiting for you.

Yelp
Came in on a Sunday and was scared it was going to be a crazy wait because it's the weekend. There was no wait time and we got to sit down immediately. Amazing despite the fact that it looked busy all around Liberty Station. Lots of parking here because there's lots of parking lots near by with free parking. Our waiter was so nice and attentive. Ambiance is a rustic hip classic breakfast spot. Started off with a chai latte which was delicious and not overly sweet. Ordered the Elvis French toast. It was French toast stuffed with peanut butter topped with banana foster and bacon. It was definitely an interesting combination. I love the maple syrup came in a cute little chicken. Good spot in Liberty station with no waistlines. It is slightly hidden but not too hard to find.

Yelp
Coming here never disappoints. The food is amazing and the service is amazing. Chilaquiles were just amazing with the steak and avocado. The tres leches pancakes melted in your mouth (so yummy and sweet) . Steak and eggs are always my husbands favorite. Can I say the coffee is delicious , my favorite things I enjoy the most.

Yelp
This Breakfast Republic is located at Liberty Station. Library Station is such a cute plaza. It's very clean and well kept. Came here on a Saturday morning. Got here at around 10:30AM. Wait for 2 people was about 20 min. My friend and I walked around the plaza. We walked through a super cute boutique store and a small pumpkin patch before being seated. My friend got the breakfast jambalaya with side of fresh orange juice. I ordered the protein lover scramble. To share, we got a pancake flight, specifically the Oreo cookie, strawberry cheesecake, and churro. Everything was really good! Jambalaya was flavorful. Can't really mess up a scramble. Pancakes were flavorful and fluffy. Ambience was casual and homey farm/barn house kitchen look. Lots of cute and quirky chicken phrases on decor. Another great place/area in San Diego. I recommend!

Yelp
Yesterday morning I experience the hospitality and morning enjoyment provided by Breakfast Republic in San Diego's Liberty Station area. Another of the dining facilities housed in building that once housed, fed, and provided training for young men and women in the United States Navy. Celebrating a retirement of a fellow co-worker, the team met at Breakfast Republic dine together one last time, and present a gift prior to returning to the office for the day's activities. The food was very delicious and I was very pleased with the huge selection of breakfast and brunch entrees available. Omelets, pancakes, waffles, shrimp n grits, traditional eggs & meats, and various in-house specials. I selected one of the omelet specials with house potatoes, wheat toast and a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice. Great choice! The atmosphere of the establishment is calm, yet refreshing and perfect for beginning a day! Customer service is excellent, and the prices are extremely reasonable. Be aware that it's a very popular place and they don't accept reservations. Highly recommend.

Yelp
It was ok, the one in ocean beach is way better. Order Brussel Sprouts bt the potatoes mixed with them were cold, all of our potatoes were cold.

Yelp
This is our kids' favorite brunch spot. The food and staff are incredibly friendly. Today, we had Branden as our server; he was kind and an extremely hard worker. Highly recommend

Yelp
Service was friendly and fast, no wait for 4 people on a Friday afternoon. The crab cakes eggs Benedict was good but not amazing. I wish I had gotten pancakes- they looked amazing!

Yelp
While visiting San Diego we found this spot on Yelp. It was quaint and very popular. We got there very early and as we were leaving there was a line out the door. The coffee was great which is always a good sign. I had a simple breakfast with big flavor. There's multiple locations. Highly recommend!

Yelp
We arrived in San Diego at 8 am and had been up since 2:30 our time, so were hungry for a bite to eat. We had eaten here once before, so came back. My husband and I both got the shrimp and ricotta fritata and a latte. Our only regret is not getting just one and splitting it! The portions were large! It was so delicious, we hated not eating it all, but there was no way. The home fries were perfect (so often are mushy or over cooked), the sourdough English muffin was perfection, and of course, the fritata was delightful. The latte was great too (wish I had gotten larger one). The server was friendly, and the outdoor table was very nice. We will return!

Yelp
My wife and I loved Breakfast Republic. Cool funky vibe, great service and excellent food. And we found the prices to be reasonable. I ordered their chilaquiles, which is a dish I make with some regularity at home. Their version was delicious, dare I say as good as mine? Nicely done. My wife had the breakfast tostadas and they were similarly good. Unlimited Cafe de Olla was excellent. Their oj was just right. We enjoyed our breakfast there and the next time we're in San Diego, we'll be back! Excellent choice!

Yelp
I usually start reviews with the food but this time I will start with the service. Tania is an amazing bartender and server. She was extremely busy but was able to not only provide great service but make me feel welcome. The cinnamon roll pancakes were absolutely delicious. The indoor space was bright, clean, and cheery. I would definitely not hesitate to eat here again.

Yelp
We came into town for a wedding that was held at liberty station, and saw this cute restaurant. We decided to give it a try since it had outside heating and boy were we pleased! From our waiter Grant, who is extremely friendly, fun, attentive, and helpful to the delicious meals we had that were prepared fresh and hot! My cold brew was very tasty and I love that the ice cubes are made of coffee. They do have merchandise for purchase so of course we walked away with a coffee mug because it was too hard to pass up. There's plenty of parking, but you may need to park a little distance on the weekend. It is located at old Navy base which holds a lot of history and his kept its integrity of Barricks. Plenty of walking around to do with doors, restaurants, and lots to see. I highly recommend checking them out if you happen to be in the San Diego area.

Yelp
First time here. Food and service was great! Zaki was very attentive and took care of us. Highly recommend!

Yelp
We originally wanted to go somewhere else for breakfast, but the wait was too long. So we went here instead. There was a wait here too. But we didn't need to pay for parking as we would've needed to for the other place. So we went with it. I'll get right to it, the food was okay. It lacked seasoning and personality in my opinion. There were some highlights like the pancake flight and my husband's Ube coffee. But overall it was just meh for us. In addition to the food, the place is very small and cramped. So it wasn't comfortable to move about or even just sit at our table. I probably wouldn't go back.

Yelp
Every time I have visited Breakfast Republic, I typically get the same thing every time I go there: the Chilaquiles. An excellent choice. A huge amount of food in a classic red sauce with their signature breakfast potatoes...delicious. However, my trip today was highlighted by their unique Benedict dishes. After a short wait, we were greeted and very politely seated by their hostess. Our server immediately greeted us with hot cups of coffee at our request. I recommend the Café de la Olla. A subtle cinnamon flavor with enough sweetness that you do not need to add any sugar or sweetener, trust me. I added two packets of Splenda and that was a mistake. The regular coffee, and the Café de la Olla are bottomless, so drink away! The patio was sunny and filled with spring break children and their families enjoying breakfast. The inside was very uniquely decorated, but I'm glad we sat on the patio because we were able to people watch and observe Liberty Station while we ate. My friend had the Cluck Madame Benedict with ham, gruyere cheese & béchamel sauce. I opted for the Mushroom & Pesto Benedict with mushrooms (as the name suggests), red bell peppers & pesto sauce. The server recommended I add the asiago chicken fennel sausage... glad I did, as it brought a savory flavor to the already popping dish. The eggs were perfectly prepared. I love me some pesto, so this one was perfect. Breakfast Republic is still a treat to start the day!

Yelp
Drinks: Oreo Latte 4/5 : Smooth and not overly sweet, paired with extra soft whipped cream--a solid choice. Cocky12 5/5 : Easy to drink and packed with extra caffeine, perfect for a little boost. Food: California Burrito 3/5: A standard American-style breakfast burrito. While not particularly flavorful, the rice and beans on the side added a nice touch. Decent but not memorable. Chilaquiles with Asada 3/5: Touted as a local favorite, but it left me trying to understand the hype. The chips tasted a bit stale, and the red sauce lacked depth. The rice and beans on the side helped balance it out somewhat. Ambiance 4/5 - looks like a great spot for parties of 4 and smaller to get together. Clean atmosphere and the servers were nice. An average brunch spot worth trying once, but nothing stood out enough to warrant a return visit.

Yelp
Came here on a weekday morning with a couple moms to celebrate back to school and there were maybe like three tables sat and no wait. I got there first and asked to be sat and they said no, you have to wait for your party. I was like, I will literally sit and order a full bottle of champagne and drink it while I wait and they were like ummm no. And like, kind of rude about it, like I was asking something so wild, when there were like no other people waiting and an almost empty restaurant? Finally the party (aka two other people) all arrives and we are sat. The waiter was friendly but didn't come around much and we needed him for a few things. I ordered the chilaquiles with avocado but they forgot the avocado and he didn't come back to the table until everyone else was almost done eating and so my food was cold by the time I got to eat it. People needed syrup and just ended up not eating their food because we weren't given the chance to ask for any. We probably would have ordered at least another bottle but again, our server didn't come around much, which again was strange, as the restaurant was not even halfway full.

Yelp
We picked this Breakfast Republic location at Liberty Station because it was centrally located between all of us celebrating my daughter's birthday. I was a little worried because they quoted 45 minutes for a table and were just extremely busy. However, we got the text for our table well ahead of the 45 minutes, and let's face it, there is enough to see and do at Liberty Station to pass the time. After we were seated, Paulina took care of us. This woman was running between tables and was getting stuff done! Coffee mugs were filled and kept warm, food orders placed and delivered hot to the table, hot sauce bottles replaced in a jiff - all with a smile and a kind word. The food was awesome - I got the egg white protein scrambler - delicious and a huge portion. We also sampled their special Rhubarb Strawberry pancakes, just incredible. To wrap up: Food: Awesome Paulina's service: Awesome We'll do this location again - soon!

Yelp
Came on a Friday around 9:30. The restaurant was packed but we were 1st in line and were sat down quickly. It was a cold morning so the outdoor heaters were on. Being that this was our 1st time here it took some time to look through the menu. They had some interesting entrees. We asked our server what was a few things the regulars would order. Brandon stated anything with Jurassic bacon, the Portuguese Sausage Scramble, any pancakes. We decided on the American Breakfast, Jurassic Bacon Benedict, the Sammy and the Portuguese Sausage Scramble. It took some time to get our meals served, unfortunately most meals were served cold. The American breakfast was just that. Scrambled eggs, bacon and potatoes. Nothing special. The Jurassic Bacon Benedict poached eggs were way overcooked. In my experience, When cutting into a Benedict, the eggs should run out gooey to create a melody of flavors. Also what makes the Bacon Jurassic? I was expecting a thick cut of bacon, it was just bacon. Maybe it had some sort of seasoning but I couldn't tell. The Sammy was Ok but my bother didn't care for the Aloi. It was sweet. The winner was the sausage scramble. Very good tasting sausage. Brandon was a good server. He also had the Benedict comped, so that was a plus for him. We tipped him well. But we came for the food.

Yelp
Haven't been here in a while but the quality of food is still there. Expect to wait if you go during prime time, especially weekends and they only do walk in. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Staff here are nice and engaging as well as attentive. We ordered the California burrito which was good and filling. The protein pancakes were ok. But if use the syrup, it somehow brings out the flavor of the pancakes. I also ordered the sweetie cocky and thought that was just OK. Their restroom is cute cos of the aesthetics. You'll see when you're in there. Lol

Yelp
Breakfast Republic is beloved by San Diego, as evidenced by the line each location has each day. That being said, if you don't want to wait, you need to get here before 9 AM. I got the Portuguese sausage scramble & my friend got the California breakfast burrito! We both loved our food so much! The portions are definitely enough to share or to have leftovers. Our service was just OK. Our waitress seemed super distracted, and even a little annoyed. She was nice enough, but definitely was not very attentive. We got our food though and the order was perfect! Breakfast Republic sure knows how to market! The ambience is always fun, and I love that you can purchase all of the cool items they have in restaurant.
google avatar

Magnum M.

Yelp
The food is on point! The service was decent, and the ambience was just okay. This location has a small footprint, so it's best suited for a quiet, one-on-one breakfast rather than a large gathering.
google avatar

Kyle V.

Yelp
Fantastic breakfast!!! While it's hard to mess up breakfast, they do a GREAT job of menu items that are just a little different than the usual. I had a Jambalaya breakfast which was a typical Cajun meal with an egg. I also had an ube latte which was delicious. I do wish there was more coffee than ube flavor, but still good. It gets very crowded on weekends, so good luck. We went on a Tuesday morning and it was no problem. Wait staff was very friendly. Nice outdoor air seating.
google avatar

Diana C.

Yelp
Really great selection of vegetarian and vegan food! So tasty too! Had the tres leches pancake and the jammin bennie. I also had the very tasty lychee mimosa. The service was excellent and the ambiance was really lovely. It was pretty busy even on a Tuesday morning.
google avatar

Yelp
Cute breakfast spot in Liberty Station, friendly service, no reservations needed nor an option. Plenty parking, sometimes might have to walk a bit due to popularity of the location. The place is loud and sound echos so having a conversation is difficult. The food it was delicious. The shrimp and grits was our favorite of the two. The other was the turkey meatloaf hash, which was pretty good. The shrimp and grits however was spicier so it was up our alley. We also enjoyed the Mexican coffee. It was well made, just the right amount of cinnamon and cane sugar.

Yelp
My usual order at Breakfast Republic is the Protein Pancakes, which I really enjoy, although they are not for everyone. You have to enjoy dense pancakes or you will be very disappointed. On this visit I decided to change things up, so I ordered the Shrimp and Ricotta Frittata. It has shrimp, of course, roasted veggies, and bacon. It comes with house potatoes and a wide selection of bread options. I chose gluten-free multigrain. It is rare, when a dish is delivered, that I say "Wow" out loud. This was one of those rare moments. The presentation was fantastic. And, best of all, the taste was as well. Even the gluten-free, multigrain bread was unusually good. My server was friendly and attentive. Everyone was very welcoming. I was dining alone, and really enjoyed the warmth and hospitality of the staff. The environment is very casual. It has a homey feel that is uncommon for a multi-unit restaurant concept. This was a great experience overall, reminding me of why Breakfast Republic is one of my favorite breakfast places.

Yelp
First time here but definitely not the last! We took Brandy's (our awesome server) recommendations and ordered the mushroom and pesto eggs Benedict and the breakfast burger! Both were fantastic. Service was fabulous...the whole restaurant works well together. Great vibe with lots of character. The Jurassic Bloody Mary was also very tasty with an incredible piece of bacon as part of the garnish!

Yelp
Breakfast spot that doesn't disappoint. Brought our relatives for breakfast while on vacation from Vancouver. Ordered the following: Breakfast Jambalaya: well seasoned and delicious dish; right amount of shrimp and Portuguese sausage and a perfect coked egg on top. Steak "N" Eggs: Steak was perfectly cooked, tender, medium rare, the way I wanted with cilantro chimichurri sauce. The bacon hash browns side compliments the main dish. Flight of 3: You cannot go wrong with any of the pancakes choices; fluffy delicious pancakes as always. Breakfast Sammie: Nothing special with this dish. Ordered the Portuguese sausage on the side. Service is always on point. Constantly checking on us if we need anything. Plenty of parking since we're there right after 8AM.

Yelp
To start... It's cold in the restaurant and I have a jacket. Secondly, took forever to get a server. 3rd took forever to order and get our meal. 4th. My eggs were not done. (That might have been my fault by not saying I want the whites cooked.) The server was really nice when we got one. Overall... We won't be back.

Yelp
Great place in the Liberty Station area. Love all the different types of businesses in this area. I had the Shrimp and Grits, and my son had the Pineapple Upside Down pancakes. The staff was very accommodating when I asked if the hot sauce that came with the shrimp could be left off, and they did! The combination of the cheesy grits with the lightly fried shrimp and crunchy roasted corn gave it some pretty awesome texture. My son said the pineapple Upsidedown Pancakes were very tasty, and not only had pineapples on top, but also within the batter. We will definitely go ahead!

Yelp
Standard breakfast food Decent veg options But good quality food Standard service Good vegan pancakes and vegan breakfast burrito

Yelp
Was visiting San Diego and wanted a nice breakfast. Came here for the French toast and pancakes and was absolutely satisfied. Interesting location at Liberty Station. Historic site that was formerly a military base but now converted to all shops and stores. Very cool. We were in a little bit of a hurry and the lady who seemed like she normally took care of the bar took care of us and was great. We appreciated that she helped out to cover our table and make sure we weren't just neglected as there were quite a few tables outside and a big party inside.

Yelp
The patio is super nice! The heaters were on. Grant was our server and he was absolutely amazing!!! The food was wonderful! Would definitely recommend!

Yelp
Restaurant was extremely busy yet service was great. Wanted to carb up before the Earth Day celebration so we ordered chilaquiles and a side of house potatoes. Shared everything and it was more than enough for two of us. Started with the Mexican mocha and the only thing I would say is that charging an extra $0.75 for whipped cream was kind of ridiculous. The drink itself was already $6.75! Otherwise it was a great meal, really good server and nice ambience. Definitely dig this location 10 times better than the Ocean Beach location, where service can be really spotty.

Yelp
We love coming here for breakfast, granted we come early to avoid crowds and so we can take our time. Our server Angel was attentive and friendly. The flight path is directly above the restaurant (which we knew and love to watch) so it's not constantly quiet, especially if you're outside so take that into consideration if you care. The iced coffees were great and the food was even better. Shrimp and grits are tasty and have the right balance of savory and spice. The pancakes were sweet and the nuts added texture. Definitely coming back for more!

Yelp
We went here for a late brunch and were promptly seated on the patio with our two dogs. It wasn't very busy on a Monday around 12pm. Service was great, and our servers offered our pups water which we really appreciated! Now for the food - the strawberry cheesecake pancakes were delicious - 5/5. Great texture and taste. My husband enjoyed his breakfast burrito as well 4/5. The strawberry lemonade was refreshing and delicious, although I wasn't able to take advantage of the unlimited refills, and the coffee cocky was great. I really wanted to like the crab and crawfish Benedict, but the blackberry - jalapeño jam really threw me off. In my opinion, the jam ruined the dish for me, because everything else tasted great, but my husband said it was okay. 2/5 Overall, I would definitely come back on a weekday for brunch when there's no wait, and try some other dishes!

Yelp
I'm not much of a breakfast eater, but ohhhh myyyyy! They don't take reservations, walk-in only & the wait can be pretty long but well worth it. Indoor & outdoor seating available. Your behaved puppy can join you in their patio. Everyone enjoyed their breakfast! If you can't decide on what to get, I recommend that each person order something different & then everyone share! I loved their Flight of 3 pancakes. We got churro, strawberry cheesecake, & pineapple upside down. Strawberry cheesecake was the best of out of the 3. Ok but the best thing on their menu? ICED. UBE. LATTE. I was PLEASANTLY surprised. Ube is becoming more & more popular these days. & as a Filipino, I'm always skeptical when other cultures try to incorporate ube into their dishes or drinks because you really have to know how to use it. Its a very subtle flavor so enhancing it so you can really taste it is an art. But OH MAN. They got it down! Best ube drink I've ever had!

Yelp
This location of breakfast republic has got to be my favorite. Easy location, great parking, service is amazing, and I just like this general area. You feel welcomed in this small restaurant. I recently went here with my dad who is disabled. His wheelchair was definitely accommodated and parking is so close! Besides that the god and drinks are always off great quality. I can't really say anything bad about BR, their food is always delicious. Since it's so popular, expect the normal long wait on weekends and pricing for a great breakfast diner. Even the bathrooms are epically themed. Recommendations: Any of the Benedict's Jambalaya And French toast cocktail to wake you up!

Yelp
First time here and the food is very satisfying! Went to the Breakfast Republic in Liberty Station. They have a few locations and thought we'd have the best luck here. Our waiter was very helpful in breaking down the menu for us. Gave some great recommendations! The food was great! The bacon they use on dishes is so flavorful. They have some sort of glaze on it that adds to the dish. Recommend anything that has the bacon. I don't recommend upgrading your side of potatoes. I did and it did not add that much to the dish. Good but nothing to brag about. You can also upgrade your toast to a pancake or French toast. We did the pancake and that was probably the best part. Expect a wait when you go here especially on a Sunday. It is very popular so I recommend going early and putting in your name and walking around Liberty Station. They text you when your table is ready!

Yelp
We came here to kill sometime before our flight. The wait was 30 minutes for a table around 10am, but there was bar seating, so we were able to sit there immediately. They were very busy, so they were a bit slow, but the service was really great. They were attentive and friendly. We ordered the french toast and the pesto mushrooms eggs Benedict with chicken sage sausage. I asked for the potato has to be changed to the brussel sprout mix for a $2 up charge. The french toast was good. The brussel sprout mix was really good, but I did not see any bacon bits in mine (maybe it was cooked in bacon): The chicken sausage was very very delicious and extremely flavorful. I wanted my eggs benedict poached hard but it came runny, so I didn't enjoy it but someone that likes runny eggs might have enjoyed it. The pesto, spinach, and mushrooms that came with it were also ok.The holla raise sauce was good. It was quite messy to eat. Overall, the food was good, but nothing outstanding enough to make me go back other then the chicken sausage.
