Breckenridge Ale House & Pizza

Had a great experience with the staff here everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming! I came for the famous giant slice, and it’s definitely a 10/10 for the "wow" factor and great for photos/content. However, the flavor didn’t quite live up to the hype for me. It felt like it needed a bit more seasoning to match the scale of the slice. Great for the "content" and the vibe, but the pizza itself was just okay. Definitely worth stopping by once to see it for yourself!

Pizza is delicious! They were slammed and still made us feel great. Super five stars to our server Kyle! (DUDE YOURE SICK)! The 24” pizza was more than enough for 6 people! garlic knots not a fav.. BUT THE PIZZA. might fly back in for it.. MUCH LOVE FROM HOUSTON (foodie city)!

We came for the 24” slice and left defeated- we tried! We did get a smaller slice for scale which just shows how big that slice was. We also had some garlic knots beforehand that were delicious. They do give you a small slicer to help divide the slice. Fun place for sure!

Breckenridge Ale House is always a great spot, but what really makes it stand out is the staff — especially Taylor, the manager. He’s awesome! Super friendly, on top of everything, and makes you feel taken care of the moment you walk in. If you stop by, make sure to tell him I said hi! Highly recommend this place for good food, good drinks, and genuinely great people.

Pizza toppings were fresh, cooked right and the dough wasnt to thick. Drinks were good and service was decent. The huge slice looked really cool and can feed up to 4 hungry people. Good place to have some drinks and pizza.

Love love love their pizza! After a cold day walking around in Breckenridge, the 24 inch slice sounded both ridiculous and delicious. It absolutely delivered. We added jalapeño and garlic. Also it is bigger than we thought it would be haha!

Came in and got a couple pizzas with family and friends. The pizzas are okay 6 out of 10 bland crust nothing special but ok. The 24" size was cool to see and the take home pizza cutter. The service was below average (Maybe just a bad day for them). We were one of two tables in the restaurant and had to wait 10-15 minutes to even get waters or anything. Then they were not able to split the bill in half at the end? That is a very poor point of sale system they are using. Not sure we will be back, but possibly.

We love this place. Not just because the food is amazing but also because the people here are nice! I was there with my family after a backpacking trip and coincidentally enough, it was Fantasy football draft night! They all 'warned us', since we had our 10 and 12 year olds, about how loud it would, and we loved it. It was a super nice experience not just for us but for the boys too. And of course, the pizza and chicken wings are amazing!!

This is a great neighborhood bar with late night pizza. The pizza was great. The slices are huge and the topping options are great. They have a great draft beer selection and non-beer options like Twisted Tea on tap. Unlike Ritas and other bars down the street, there was plenty of seating at Breck and service was great on a Friday evening.

Really great pizza. Cool bartender. Relaxed vibe full of locals. Beer was cold. The perfect place to shake the mountains chill

I didn't take pictures on this visit, but honestly, we always get the same thing. My wife gets two slices of cheese, while I get one slice of pepperoni and one slice of sausage. Slices are large, foldable, and fairly authentic NY. Like usual, we got slices while enjoying beers and football at Broken Compass next door. This time, they even brought the slices to us so I wouldn't have to go back. Score!

Came here twice during short visit to Breck. Once just to drink beer. Then for lunch with drinks. The regular slice pizza I show is bigger than a Costco piece and super tasty. Also had salads which were ok. Lots of TV screens to watch sport. Very friendly staff. Locals come here too. We like the vibe and coziness

Date of visit: February 12, 2025 On my first visit to Breckenridge, this was a required stop from my friend that was guiding me through the area and it's easy to see why: The food was quite good, though there's a little room for improvement. Speaking of the food, they have some of the best crust of any pizza I have ever had; if you're a crust hater, don't sleep on this stuff, it's fantastic! Though despite that, you apparently have to ask for cheese on your Build Your Own slice, it won't really come with any if you don't specify it. I know, how odd! We also had the cheesy garlic knots, and while very tasty, they are served in a aluminum tin that both seems wasteful and also makes it difficult to scrape the cheese out--I hated leaving so much goodness in the pan, especially with the lack of cheese on my pizza! Our server, Hannah B, was friendly and helpful but the timing was a bit off; our garlic knots had been at the table for about a minute before the pizza came and our little table struggled to hold all of the delicious food!

This place was our favorite find in Breckenridge during this year's "old guy ski club" trip. We had 8 friends from high school piled into a great Condo at the bottom of Peak 8 and 9 near " The Maggie" and went hunting for value our first night out and found this near perfect pizza and bierhaus. The place has it all. Great pizza if you like NY style pizza with thin crust and nothing remotely soggy. You can get slices or whole pizza. An 8 slice 22 inch pizza was about the same price as a bowl of Ramyon on the mountain. Our group loved this place. And then there is the beer. Great rotating selection of local craft beers and a beer for everyone's taste from IPAs to Amber ales and decent Kolsch. The high wooden tables are perfect for a group of six or eight and no matter where you sit, you can watch whatever game is on one of their 20 or so wide screen TVs. But best of all are the wait staff. Great folks, know their menu, know their beer and are just pleasant, helpful and friendly and they seem to love working there. We asked, "what's the secret sauce that makes this place so great?" They said the wait staff were friends, they helped each other out, went the extra mile and just try to make the whole great experience even better. We went back 3 times during the week. Loved this place.

A great quick stop in Breckenridge. We have been here many times for a slice, but have also purchased pizzas for our wedding welcome party from them. They were a huge hit and we never have complaints about the service or food. It is great for an iced cold beer and to watch a game with the TVS visible from the bar.

Jersey girl here- visiting with my husband found our place!!!! Didn't think Colorado could do NJ style. - but I folded and enjoyed every last bite! I want more!!!! Jannica was awesome and let us know how much she appreciated us! Great to know awesome pizza is an art like it should be! Gotta fold it!!

Was the pizza giant? Yes Do I have heartburn now.... Also yes But in reality the service is great the pizza is good and the Dr Pepper is on tap. What more could a girl ask for!

Our group of 8 was excited to try this spot during our visit to Breckenridge, especially with all the great reviews we'd seen. Everything seemed fine at first. We were seated promptly and handed menus, but at no point were we informed about the payment policy or the restaurant's early closing time. After we submitted our orders--8 separate ones--the waiter came back just 5 minutes later, dropped off a bill, and walked away without explanation. The bill had a QR code, and when he returned, he informed us they could only accept four payments for the entire group. This would have been helpful to know before we ordered, but we figured it out and moved on. Then things got worse. The waiter brought out two boxes with everyone's slices already packed up and told us we couldn't eat inside because they were closing in 10 minutes--at 11:25 PM--despite the online listing saying the restaurant closes at midnight. This felt like terrible customer service, as we were given no opportunity to choose whether we wanted to order under those conditions. Instead, we were forced to pay in advance, sort out the payment issue on the spot, and then leave with food we intended to eat onsite. He didn't know if we were all going to the same house. And even once we arrived home, some of the orders were wrong and the pizza was cold. The waiter's attitude throughout was dismissive, even condescending, despite being polite on the surface. When challenged about the payment policy, he pointed out that it was on the menu, but if the posted closing time wasn't being followed, it's pretty hypocritical to pick and choose what rules you want to follow that day. This experience wasn't about what happened so much as how it happened. Better communication about the payment policy for large groups and any early closing times, shared prior to ordering, would have made all the difference. I'd strongly encourage the management to prioritize training staff on customer service to avoid situations like this in the future. Despite the inconveniences, the pizza was good.

Came here with a mud season bogo pizza deal!! Wow this pizza was spectacular. Wish we would have come back again it was so good. Service was good and prices weren't too bad. A nice time while here in Breckenridge!

This is some very good pizza! I love the sauce and the tiny little pepperonis! Our server, Easton was so friendly and nice and even recommended some other places to check out on our stay! I love the outside patio. It was the most perfect weather to hangout outside with! You must check this place out if you're in Breck!

We ordered our pizza delivery. The pizza was good... but I was a little shocked with the price for a large pizza and delivery fee. The pizza was really good, but it seemed more like a medium for 3 adults it definitely was not enough.

Omg the pizza here is soooo good!!! And huge! Home of the 24" pizza so if you need to feed a lot of people this is the #1 place I would recommend. Even if you order a slice, it's than your head. Fun atmosphere. PLENTY of tvs! Service is insane too.

Home of the biggest pizza slice you can imagine, this was an easy and tasty spot to stop in along the Main Street in Breckenridge. Surrounded by lots of shopping and other restaurants, it's easy to see from the road as you drive in with lots of parking available in the back. With low lighting, fresh pizza-to-order and a glowing disco ball you're in for a fun experience here no matter what season you're in town for! I recommend customizing the pepperoni with some jalapeños and pair with a local lager on tap

Pizza was very good. 12" could easily feed 2 if not super hungry. Value wasn't so great, but nothing is in Breckenridge.

Food was ok. Had the garden salad (fair) and a pizza (Hawaiian). The pizza was about average. Did take out and the service was good. Price was about average for breck.

Super yummy Pizza here! We loved the service, very attentive staff, The 24" pizza is Humongous! All worth the tasty bites and the yummy cheese pull. Holy smokes. Breckenridge Ale House and Pizza is worth the bite, go try!! Houstonians in Colorado.

Great experience, great pizza served by Clay- great Server. As the 3 of us are hailing from the Pizza Capital of CT, We are a tough audience to please...but Clay and the team did well with one of their 24" pizzas...pretty thin crust..Jersey style...With enough for breakfast the next morning!...Will definitely. Return.

When we visited @breckenridgealehouse, once in a while we would hear an occasional OMG! From somebody who's a first-timer as well. It's courtesy of the famous @breckenridgealehouse 24" slice of pizza . It's super-sized for everybody's pleasure. and it is tasty! It even comes with its pizza slicer! Dine in or deliver! Load this Jersey-style 'zaaa with your choice of toppings. *Jersey style-the cheese is loaded onto the crust first and the sauce on top of it! Then the toppings. They opened in 2002 and survived the pandemic! You're surrounded by 13 TVs when you're here! We tried their Cheesy Garlic Knots and Meatball Sandwich. But believe me-that one slice put us beyond our limit. It doesn't matter if you've seen photos online; the size in person will surprise you! Cocktails are Winter Saga Old Fashioned. It's Breckenridge Imperial Stout Cask, aromatic bitters, and Kuzcos Poison. It's Empress Gin, lemon juice, Aquavit, orange bitters & simple syrup.

We ordered the cheesy garlic knots and split an 18" pizza (not pictured because we couldn't wait to dig in) everything was absolutely delicious! We also ordered the Devil's margarita which was also quite tasty. 10/10 would recommend

Great slices of pizza. Great place to chill and watch football while the family was skiing. The Super Slice is 24"!!

The Pizza is 4+ for the record.. The pizza is absolutely the best in the area--fresh, flavorful, and worth the hype. That said, the service doesn't quite match the quality of the food. Staff barely greet you, and there's a tense vibe, almost like they're under pressure to rush orders out. A little more warmth and hospitality would go a long way. Also, the parking situation isn't ideal. The lot doesn't match the size of the dining area, so plan to park down the street and walk if you're dining in. Still, the pizza makes it worth a visit. 75% is Service Execution - This includes the emotional intelligence of service: warmth, personalization, courtesy, attention to detail, and anticipation of guest needs. It's about how the service is delivered, not just what is done. 25% is Facilities/Technical Execution - This refers to the technical accuracy of the service: correct procedures, product knowledge, timeliness, cleanliness, and efficiency. It's the nuts and bolts of doing the task right.

July 22, 2023. Saturday. Dinner. Wife and I were drinking beer at the nearby Broken Compass Brewing company. The bartender suggested the nearby Ale House and Pizza place for genuine New York Style pizza. He said he used to live in Brooklyn. We were pretty hungry, but no one answered the phone. So, I walked over. They had a giant slice ready for pick-up at the counter. See attached photo. I ordered an 18" pie with arugula, bacon and pepperoni ($29). They delivered the pizza within 15 minutes to our table. Service was top notch! The pizza crust had a nice crispy crunch and the arugula made it pop. I would have loved a bit more cheese, but I forgot to order extra cheese based on my bartender's suggestion. You get an authentic, above average pizza pie at this joint. My hot tip would be to order extra cheese.

Sit down and eat your pizza in a fun environment or get it to go and take it back to the hotel after a long day of snowboarding. The pepperoni was delicious.

This pizza was mediocre, but convenient. We ordered a pizza, caprese salad, and a house salad for takeout. It was ready within 15 minutes, which was great. The caprese salad was good. The house salad was fresh, albeit we didn't get any dressing to go with it. The pizzas were just fine. Maybe a 5/10 on the pizza scale. They were very bland. Even the sausage on the pizza was bland. Also, half of the pizza was burnt. If I couldn't get food anywhere else, I may consider getting it again, but solely for the convenience.

Visiting Breckenridge for a few days. I liked the inside. It had TV's covering the walls so it would be a great place to watch sports. Our server was Diego, he was really good. We got our drinks in a timely manner. Salad came out early enough for us to finish them before our pizza arrived. The pizza was done perfectly. I think Dave Portnoy would like the undercarriage and the flop (if you know, you know)! It was crispy all the from the crust to the center. To me it had the perfect amount of toppings( pepperoni and mushroom), and good sauce. I would for sure return if we lived here! And for sure will when we visit again

The location is on main street in Breckenridge. Plenty of offstreet parking. The atmosphere is family friendly. The service was great and the pizzas were very tasty. They make a monstrous pizza. Overall a great restaurant.

I LOVED LOVED LOVED THIS PIZZA! if ever in breckenridge you must try.. place has a full bar they also sell pizza by the slice have some screens for game days and service was awesome I did not have to make reservations how ever by the time we left it was really busy.. so you might need one for busy weekends only CON: NO CHICKEN IS WINGS.. non the less place was great

Pizza is good, not a ton of appetizer options if that's your thing, but the pizza is worth the stop. 25 draft selections that rotate from my understanding. Not a huge place but I stopped in about 5 to order take out and had a beer. My order was ready before my beer was finished. Quick service!

We had a pizza delivered to our resort. It was delivered quickly and was absolutely delicious!! The crust was perfect. Can't wait to come back and have another pizza.

Was on a weekend trip with my boyfriend and decided to check this place out. And it did not disappoint! It's located in the heart of main street in downtown Breck. We got sat pretty quickly, and we ordered a large mushroom and pepperoni pizza. Oh my goodness is the pizza large. But you'll want the biggest one because you'll want to eat the leftovers. The dough is very soft and slightly chewy which is what I like for my pizza dough. But not soft enough to be soggy. The pepperoni is also our favorite kind the small cupped ones that crisp up really nice. The sauce is delicious also, I will say this is my top 5 fav pizzas in Colorado so far. I grew up in NY/NJ so I know my pizza. I would drive back up here just to eat it again. And we certainly will.

I went to sign up for the waiting list & a person decided to sign up themselves since no one was at the front area for more than 10 minutes (it was busy). One staff person in particular (Caucasian, skinny, bald w a mustache), when he realized ppl signed themselves up he began yelling at the customer & like they were kids, was very disrespectful & unprofessional. He went on & on about it's his job to sign ppl up.. blah blah blah & continued to raise his voice. I really hope they have this on video in order to hold this person accountable. The disrespect in front of all other customers who witnessed it is truly unacceptable. It's unfortunate he didn't have the means to be professional under pressure during busy hours. Won't be going back anytime soon.

Food was decent but placing a pickup order could not be any harder than this. Breckenridge is a beautiful city and the fact I have to give my card info over the phone and can't get a total on my order before tip is absurd. Lady was practically ordering for me and not and answering any of my questions I asked. I would hope this was just a bad day but this was very unprofessional.

2 2 foot pizzas.. We had the extra sauce.. very tasty, but makes the pizza too wet. Pepperoni was spot on

Solid place for a pizza! Their largest pizza is huge!! 1 was plenty for 4 people. Each slice is enormous! We just got a supreme style pizza and it did the job! Very quick service for pick up on a Saturday night! I called and the pizza was ready in 20 minutes.

Service was terrible . I guess there's No need for anyone to try if 20% tip is automatically added to the tab. I received burnt garlic knots and tried asking for a new order since I was really craving some . I hate being that person but I figured the server would be understanding. Server didn't bother to apologize or say anything for that matter and give attitude.Felt really uncomfortable. On top of that food was mid .

Pizza was excellent! I have tried a lot of the pizza in town and this is the best. Would definitely give this a try if you are staying in town or need a quick slice after the slopes.

We ordered pizza from here for delivery and were very pleased! We got the biggest pizza and didn't realize quite how big it was. We also got garlic knots and a gluten free pepperoni pizza.

I saw this pizza spot on someone's YouTube video since we were coming to town on vacation. He recommended it and the pizza looked good. We got seated right away and ordered a pepperoni and sausage pizza. There was five of us and when the pizza came out it was huge! We were pleasantly surprised. The crust was perfect and crispy just the way I like it. The toppings and sauce were delicious as well. The server was very friendly too. There is lots of seats inside and some outside as well. I'm so glad we came and would definitely visit again if we ever come back to Breckenridge!

This place was great... except for the cheesy garlic knots. The dough was stale and cheese tasted like it was microwaved. We ordered the 24" pizza, which is a good size for four people. Half had sausage and jalapeno and half had red onions and sauteed mushrooms. The sausage was delicious, and so was the sauteed mushrooms. We'd absolutely come back here for pizza.

Well done to the Ale House for your giant bigger than my face pizza slices, incredible and friendly service, and fun and relaxed atmosphere. The garlic knots on the pizza crust is a must, with a side of ranch to dip them in. Reasonably priced, it makes sense that this place is a local staple and a must visit for quick and focus food. When I'm breck, I'll be coming back here.
