Google
Must visit! Delight your entire family! Delicious, authentic, well-priced, traditional, and creative Breton crêpes both savoury and sweet. Wonderful, charming, and handsome staff speaking French and English. Excellent outside spot with lots of room and great sightings for people watching. Definitely get a bottle of cider, homemade fruit juice- it’s all goo! Gluten free buckwheat flour is so tasty!

Marky M.

Google
We each had a savoury and sweet crepe. All four were good, just get fillings that you like. A reasonable priced bottle of Chardonnay made the experience better. Nice terrasse, accommodating service.

Olga P.

Google
A very cute brunch place. Large crepe portions. Cannot say it’s the best thing I’ve ever eaten, but it’s a good solid breakfast/brunch/lunch options tons of savory and sweet crepes to choose from. Has outside patio in good weather. Service was lovely.

Google
A couple weeks ago we were in Montreal to visit and find coffee shops and creperies. A friend recommended Breizh so we came and absolutely loved it. Unfortunately for us we had already had dinner so only got one crepe to share but wow it was good. We got the Duo Chocolat crepe which was listed as one of their specialties. We’ll definitely come back to try the others. Definitely recommend!

Google
Breizh Cafe's crepes are the best! After four years in Montreal I can't believe I just discovered this place. Besides the delicious goodness of the crepes, their prices are reasonable.

Google
Amazing crepes! The bechamel sauce was wonderful.

Google
I stumbled upon this place and was so impressed. The regular crepe was a perfect size (I had the Nordique) and so good. The server rocked and was so helpful in giving recommendations. He suggested the sugar & butter crepe for desert. I’m not usually a big desert person but holy was it delicious. The patio seating was a nice touch and when it started to rain got to be inside to experience the nice atmosphere in there!

Google
Wanted crepes all of a sudden and walked into this place and it blew me away! I ordered baked apple caramel flavoured crepe and it was THE best crepe I have ever had. AMAZING! Highly recommend

Yelp
If you live Bretton style crepes this place is amazing !! We had the special "Vege" with added egg. It was great !! Nice ciders and friendly service

Ecaterina M.

Yelp
If you want a truly French experience - great food, polite and friendly service, cozy ambiance - this is the place! Buckwheat and regular crepes were wonderful - both savory and sweet options. The flambé crepes are prettier at night but taste equally great during the day. The staff were very friendly, bilingual like in most restaurants in Montreal. Definitely a repeater!

Yelp
Really nice place with a warm, cozy European café feel. I came around 1 on Friday and they were only about half full - it's a relatively small restaurant but there's a seating area in the back which makes it bigger than it looks. The narrowness of it adds to the charm, makes it a little more intimate. From my table I could sort of see into the kitchen. I had a cappuccino, L'océane (savoury seafood crepe), and the Far Breton. I liked how the cappuccino was dusted with cocoa powder. The espresso (I had decaf) was a little bitter but in a sort of pleasant way. I didn't see it on the menu, but I asked about non-dairy milks and they do have almond milk, which is what I got. The crêpe was very good! I think I've had some pretty good crêpes but the presentation of this was different from anything I've tried before (fourth time in Montréal but it was my first Montréal crêpe). The scallops and salmon were very fresh and the creamed leek sauce went so well with the seafood. Only two scallops on the regular size crêpe which didn't look like much, but I cut them up and they went a long way. And I loved the lacey texture and flavour of the crêpe! I came for the crêpe but was also really excited to try the Far Breton. I love custardy desserts like this! The prunes at the bottom were cooked to a syrupy consistency which was so good. My waitress was very nice and always came by at just the right time to fill water or take my order. My drink and dessert came out pretty quickly, the crêpe took a bit longer. I might've started to get impatient if it had taken any longer than it did, but as it was I think the wait time was acceptable - they're a small kitchen and making crepes can be time consuming.

Yelp
Came here for the buckwheat crepes as it was highly recommended online and it definitely held up its it's good reviews. Cute little neighbourhood that it's located in as well. I ordered the la oceana while my husband got the la nordique crepe. There is an option to do either regular or grande size depending on how hungry you are which is nice. The oceana crepe comes with scallops, salmon with leeks inside the crepe. The fresh scallops were definitely my favourite part of this meal. The nordique had smoked salmon with spinach and dill cream which was also super yummy - the dill cream added a nice flavour punch to it. Finished it off with some creme brûlée for dessert because you can never go wrong with that choice in Montreal! Would love to try some more flavours here including the ham and egg crepes, the cheese crepes and of course the sweet crepes as well. It's a pretty small place so you may need to wait a while if you come with a large group and again wait for the crepes but definitely worth it!

Yelp
An authentic European café with excellent buckwheat crepes. I went there on a Thursday afternoon at around 2 pm. There was no need to wait in line, but the service was a little slow. It is understandable since there was only one waitress. We had to wait for about 5 minutes to get our water and another 15 minutes for the food. The food was excellent, and I would definitely come back. I highly recommend it if you are nearby and would like to enjoy a leisurely meal. The atmosphere was good.

Yelp
I had a savory crepe -- it was bland and somehow even looked unappetizing. Pretty much the only thing I regret ordering in Montreal. I also ordered a latte -- the beans were burnt black over-roasted, and it seemed like someone had sorta added milk to it. No foam or layer. Had to add sugar to make it drinkable. I don't know what to say, it was pretty bad, and I was surprised because the reviews are all good. Maybe it was a rough day in the kitchen. The only plus is that now I have to go back to MTL so I can have a good crepe.

Yelp
In Quebec it is absolutely necessary that you get some authentic French food and this was place was the perfect weekend brunch spot. Even being in the middle of Quebec we were able to snag a last minute table on a Saturday around noon with no wait! I have had crepes several times and I can't recall any bad experiences, but these were something else. I've always had breakfast crepes or sweet crepes, but the crepe I had here that was topped with scallops and smoked salmon was total different and very good. The crepes here huge and there were so many different options that it made it difficult to choose. Our server was fantastic and helped guide us in the right direction. The food took a little while to come out, but that was expected for how busy the restaurant was. The vibe in here was very fitting - imagine small French cafe in big city. Prices here were also very good and for 2 savory crepes along a with a sweet crepe at a nice place like this it only came out to $45 USD after tip. Our experience here was very delightful and I would definitely recommend if you are looking for something French!

Yelp
What a delight full little restaurant on st Laurent. If you're craving crepes like I was yesturday than look no further you have found THE crepe place to be. They have a great selection of crepes ranging from sweet to salty. Saturday afternoon is when I decided to check out this great location. I had a feeling it would be busy so I called 30 minutes ahead of time to reserve a table. Upon arrival I was greeted by a very smiley red head woman with great glasses ! The place was pretty busy but it wasn't loud like most other breakfast joints so that was great because I don't like yelling over others just to ask how someone's day is. I was having trouble picking since there were so many possibilities but finally I decided on the québécois which consisted of apples bacon and Swiss cheese. Mmmm ! What a great crepe that was it was exactly what I was looking for, my cravings were met. I suggest this location to anyone who's big on crepes or just wanting to try something different, there's literally a crepe for everyone.

Nic G.

Yelp
Very cute spot, not divey. The buckwheat crepe with spinach and salmon was one of the best I have had: thin, slightly crispy and very flavorful. Service was a little slow, but we are on vacation so who cares? Another server came on duty soon after we arrived and things picked up considerably. Would definitely eat here again!

Yelp
Ive had many crepes in Montreal and France , this is by far the best ive ever had , the savoury ones and the sweet ones equally, especially the salty caramel with butter one , prices are extremely fair . This is a true gem in Montreal and we're lucky to have them
google avatar

Yelp
The best crepe experience in Montreal. In fact one of the best restaurants in the city. I cannot help but stop this restaurant multiple times whenever visiting.

Yelp
You can't go wrong with Breizh Café. As a Frenchwoman, I always appreciate an authentic creperie, and this one, on top of being conveniently located in the heart of the Plateau Mont-Royal, is also exquisite. The food is both simple and incredibly tasty - you can technically customize a salted butter buckwheat crepe with a select range of ingredients, such as leek, swiss cheese and maple syrup. The ready-made crepes range from the ubiquitous cheese and ham to the more complex smoked salmon and dill cream. And their sweet crepes are equally delicious - I personally recommend the lemon and sugar crepe. On top of the menu they also have ready-made brunches for every palate. Last but not least, the service is friendly and efficient. They're genuinely lovely, professional people and will go above and beyond to ensure a great culinary experience. High marks all around!

Joy Z.

Yelp
The crepe was perfected seasoned. The dill cream is the flavor highlight. The crepe itself is thin and crispy, and the spinach inside not only added nutritious value but also enhance the flavor. It is just perfect.

Jonathan H.

Yelp
A large selection of mouth-watering crepes, both sweet and savory, with good coffee, cidre and other drinks. Prompt and friendly service. 100% recommended!

Yelp
This is probably my favorite cafe in Montreal so far. FOOD All the crepes are thin and well done with a chewy texture and a nice crisp. I got to try a couple from the menu during my 2 visits. My personal favorites are as follow: Meal - La Parisienne (ham, Swiss cheese, bechemel sauce, mushrooms) - the melted Swiss cheese and bechemel sauce inside the warm close phased crepe give a creamy texture. Dessert - Caramel Au Beurre Sale (salted caramel butter) - the crepe is not overly sweet due to the combination of caramel and salted butter. Sweetness is just right for my personal preference. If you are craving for both salty and sweet crepes, La Quebecoise (cooked apple, bacon, Swiss cheese, maple syrup) is not a bad choice either! AMBIENCE The environment was quite nice with some soft background music. Two of the tables are close to the glass sliding doors, which are opened during the day. You can enjoy some sunlight if the weather is nice. STAFF The servers are all very polite and friendly. My family and I visited here 2 days in a row. On our first night, the server was considerate and told us right away when we entered the cafe that the card machine was not working before we were seated. My mom and I were looking for the washroom after our meal and the server told us immediately before we even asked. PRICE Price is reasonable. Crepes range from $5 to $19 before tax (from very plain to ones with scallop and salmon). A person would spend on average $15 including tips and tax (assuming you're getting a classic crepe with protein and a cup of regular coffee).

Yelp
I wanted to eat a heavy carb déjeuner before climbing Mount Royal. It just so happened I passed this crêperie conveniently located on Boulevard Saint-Laurent. This cafe uses buckwheat flour for their savory crepes in the style of Brittany region of France. You can order the regular or large size crepe. I went for the grande size LA Québécoise (stuffed with cooked apples, swiss cheese, bacon, and maple syrup). Paired with a bowl of cafe au lait, it was a hearty breakfast. This is my go-to place for crepes next time I'm in Montreal.

Tanya C.

Yelp
Cute and cozy place for dinner on a chilly, drizzly evening. We got sweet and savory crepes, and everything was delicious! Service was attentive and warm, as well. Before we even left, our son said, "Can you review this place and give them five stars?"
google avatar

Ngoc P.

Yelp
I've only had crepes probably less than a handful number of times. They're often soggy and dense where I'm from in the U.S. so I'm always a bit hesitant to order them. However, when we crossed the border into Québec, I made it a mission to eat as many as I can. Now that I'm back home, I'm totally screwed since I now get frequent cravings and can't get anything remotely close to these amazingly crisp, warm, delicious (and relatively inexpensive) crepes. I had 2 savory crepes, and one sweet one (mind you this was only breakfast) and I can't begin to describe how good they are. The buckwheat crepes are very different to what I'm used to; very mild in flavor, crisp, and light. The filling to crepe ratio was perfect. The dessert hazelnut crepe was also the bomb; brilliant play on textures. & of course I had to add ice cream. Interior was very modern and hip. Breizh is perfect for dates and mingling and the service was fantastic. Great coffee as well; highly recommend the visit!

DoYeon K.

Yelp
Came here with a group of 10 with reservation and they were very accommodating. They waited until everyone arrived and all our orders came pretty altogether considering they only have like 3 crepe skillets. Food was great, I ordered the one with egg, goat cheese and creamed leeks and it was super tasty! The goat cheese was strong but not too much, creamed leek was the best part. I liked dipping each of my pieces into the yolk. However considering the prices the portion could be more. I also ordered the far breton dessert, which is a flan cake with raisin-like pieces. It was different but still good, it was my first time having real flan cake so I don't have a good reference :P This is definitely a place I'd bring people to!

Yelp
Delicious unpretentious crêpes, masterfully executed. Great service and food. Can't go wrong.
google avatar

Deepti S.

Yelp
Oh myyy ate 2 crepes buckwheat with egg and ham and another one salted caramel with dark chocolate . Buckwheat creape was perfect with crispy sides and more than perfect centre ..soft not soggy. The egg was just right with its sunnyness,a bit runny and the bottom lightly cooked.Ham Cramel crepe...best butter caramel.with exact balance of butterness and salt.dark chocolate was the best friend cutting the bare saltyness to mild bitterness .

Yelp
Delicious traditional crepes! A traditional crepe restaurant on St. Laurent. The interior of the restaurant was homey, and the patio allowed you to be in the street and people watch as folks were roaming around during the Mural street festival. We stopped in here just for dessert. We tried the: 1. Kir Breton - a small flute of a creamy, fruity cider. Really bright and effervescent, a real treat. It could have been dessert on its own! 2. "Le Sniker" crepe - a dessert crepe with chocolate and caramel, topped with ice cream. The crepe was crispy and thin, and the filling was nice and sweet. The experience overall was good; we're glad we tried it, though perhaps we aren't crepe people and weren't wowwed. The restaurant has an extensive menu of sweet and savory options that were very reasonably priced. We would come back to try some more options. Service was friendly enough! --Rating Rubric-- 5* - As good as it gets; goes above and beyond. I would come here again and again! 4* - Worth checking out; a good value. No major complaints or only minor flaws that set this place back. I'm glad I tried it, but I might not come back here in lieu of trying somewhere new. 3* - A few setbacks that soured the experience. Not the worst, but I wouldn't recommend it to friends. 2* - Multiple setbacks that made me dislike the place. 1* - I was personally offended by the people or services. Steer clear!

Yelp
Amazing service , amazing food , place is cozy and nice , vegetarian options !!! Over all GREAT !

Kitty H.

Yelp
This simple place has wonderful, authentic crepes and cider. They use real buckwheat flour for the savoury crepes. We had ham and cheese, bechamel and mushrooms, lemon and sugar, all terrific! Its a 25 minute walk from the basilica but well worth the effort!
google avatar

Kate G.

Yelp
I love crepes. Especially salted caramel & caramelised apples. This place has that. I love this place.
google avatar

Louise K.

Yelp
Very nice service, the waiters are great the food is great ! Coming from Brittany myself I recommend their crepes and galettes they are the same as in France ! Love them! Wish they had a raclette galette though !
google avatar

Harry R.

Yelp
I went here with a couple friends for brunch this Sunday. All I can say is awesome!! Immediately when we walked in we were happily greeted by the hostess and given a table. The atmosphere was great, and my French friends said it reminded her of some small family owned French cafe's she used to go to. In regards to our food, everything was amazing! I ordered Le Breton combo. The galette with egg, ham, and Swiss was delicious and very filling, a good size for the price especially considering it came with fresh fruit, great coffee, a sample of their homemade mango-banana-strawberry juice, and a dried plum pudding cake for dessert. Really excellent, food, service, and atmosphere! All around just a perfect experience!
google avatar

Tina T.

Yelp
I came here on a Sunday and was seated right away. Had their 3 course meal to share with a friend for about $35 after tax and tip. The food was served quickly, and the waitress was very attentive and friendly. My friend loved the french onion soup and wanted to order a second bowl. The crepe isn't as sweet as other places but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
google avatar

Shashank K.

Yelp
Great presentation of crepes, solid hot chocolate as well. They have a section of crêpes with alcohol that my wife wasn't too sure of. Bitter brandy with sweet orange marmalade crêpe didnt go that well. I had madam helene and it was good too. The cafe soon had a line of people out on the street, not sure if I'd wait 30-60mins for food here
google avatar

Liliana G.

Yelp
Our group ordered the Le Breton lunch and the brunch salmon crepe option. Both fresh, delicious, tasty. Our group call to reserve a table for 11 and we were greated promptly and nicely by Benedict. Prices are very reasonably.
google avatar

Joy S.

Yelp
Food was hot and super tasty. The server was from Paris and extremely friendly. We even got up to watch the crepe master in action. All crepes were made out of buckwheat flour which made them gluten free and extra delicious! For dessert we had a sweet crepe with home made caramel and it was to die for! Would recommend their crepes to anyone!

Felipe L.

Yelp
Service: very friendly and helpful. There are several choices in the menu and looked yummy and our waitress was very kind to recommend the popular choices in galettes and crepes. Food: stars of the night - we got the galette with feta, leek, egg and caramelised onion and also the caramelised Apple crepe, both recommended by the waitress. The galette was crispy and very tasty, the crepe was soft and right amount of sweetness. Both my wife and I cleaned up our plates! Overall, great place in a lively neighbourhood, very good food and friendly.. we wanted to come back again! Next time we travel to Montreal!
google avatar

Jim B.

Yelp
They must have been having a bad day in the kitchen when we visited. Our crepes were overlooked and my wife's was tasteless. I didn't believe her until I tasted it myself. Service was excellent. We picked this from Yelp because it had so many great reviews. I don't think we will return.
google avatar

Elizabeth D.

Yelp
Gluten-free buckwheat crepes! They were delicious. Nice and crispy on the outside but with a little bit of chew. Definitely different but welcomed into my tummy for sure. They use regular crepe batter for dessert. We had the chocolate banana praline and the crepe suzette. Dang, both were a slam dunk. Crepes done right, for sure!
google avatar

Eui-Hyun K.

Yelp
The food and the waitress was very warm and attentive. The food was pretty good and a fair value for what you get. We did the set fixed menu option and It was $72 CAD after tax and tip for a three course meal for two.
google avatar

Holly G.

Yelp
The staff were very friendly and prompt. I was so excited to see a galette restaurant -- we do not have them in the US so I haven't had a proper galette since I studied in Rennes. Overall it was very good -- I got the smoked salmon one. I love smoked salmon, but I think they put a little bit too much in - the flavor was very overwhelming. I would probably go back and just order something else. Overall it was a nice experience!

Claire C.

Yelp
The real crepes from Britney, just like my grandma made. Absolutely delicious! Amazing service, we felt safe even though we sat inside, and we enjoyed our meal very much.
google avatar

Nikos L.

Yelp
Ok, if you want crepes that taste like the ones you had in Brittany, you go here. This place is awesome and as authentic as it gets! Crepes Saracins (buckwheat) for the salty ones, and classic dough for the sweets is hard to find as most places just use the classic (white wheat) dough for both... All the Breton assortments here in a great casual environment...A+
google avatar

Ricardo M.

Yelp
Do you like crepes? Are you ok with Buckwheat? Do you like a friendly atmosphere? Do you want a pokestop while you have breakfast? Here is your spot. The crepes are great, really well balanced and large enough to fill you up. It is odd that they come as a square, but they still are tasty. Most of the savory crepes come on a buckwheat crepe, which is different but not bad. Im sure if you asked for regular crepe stuff, they would give it to you. The dessert crepes are awesome, and I recommend getting one. You can split 2 crepes between 2 people and you would be good. Only complaints were that the coffee was a little burnt and they were pricier than my local crepe place. All in all though, I would go back here. Note: I didnt check out the shitter.
google avatar

Pankaj C.

Yelp
We were in Montreal for just 5 days and we went to Breizh 3 times. Their savory crepes are amazing. I wish they had crepes like this in the US.
google avatar

Shay C.

Yelp
Beautiful delicious buckwheat crepes! I'm so impressed and I've had plenty in Paris. Charming service and space, definitely recommend if you're in MTL. I will definitely try to make a visit whenever I'm here from now on.
google avatar

Jessica R.

Yelp
We loved it. Delicious hot chocolae. Crepes were perfection. Even my 5yo eat it all and he is super picky. Orange juice was fresh. Excellent service!
google avatar

Raleigh B.

Yelp
Good food. Reasonably priced. We waited 30 minutes for a table. I probably would not have waited if I had to do it all over. Had the ham and Swiss to start. Good but a bit dry. Then the caramel crepe for dessert it was delicious but could have used a little more caramel!
google avatar

Carla A.

Yelp
Thank you Yelpers! My perfectly cooked nutella crepe with bananas hit the spot. Soft yet crispy in parts but never soggy, this buttery sweetness was exactly was I was looking for. Minus 1 star for not readily getting drinks but I'm also a NYCer with high expectations and limited patience. I'm working on it!

J L.

Yelp
Everything was great here from food to the service. The savory crepes are made with buckwheat and the combination of ingredients is quite tasty. The sweet crepes are made with regular flour and equally if not more delicious. Very nice ambiance and along a great section on Saint-Laurent. I will definitely back.

Carolyn B.

Yelp
service super friendly and quick. i've had both a sweet and savoury crepe, they were both delicious. my personal favourite is the chocolate and banana crepe, it always a 10/10
google avatar

Kat M.

Yelp
Two of us visited Breizh Cafe and ordered the weekday lunch specials which come with tea or coffee, soup or salad, and several crepe choices. We had the "complété" (ham, Swiss, and sunny side up egg) and veggie (Swiss, onions, spinach, tomato). There were multiple tea choices. We enjoyed the soup du jour which was carrot and ginger. The crepes were great, light, and not greasy at all (which we have found at crêperies in Paris). Very happy with this place and the prices are reasonable.

Christina M.

Yelp
Wow. Between the food & the service this was by far my favorite place of my trip. It was mid afternoon, it wasn't too busy. I ordered two crepes & both were delicious! The snickers crepe was my favorite, I would have preferred milk chocolate but dark chocolate was good as well. Our waiter was very friendly! We will be back!
