"A family-owned business that, in homage to its origins, takes its name from the famous Belgian singer Jacques Brel, renowned worldwide for his song “Ne me quitte pas”. This restaurant, which initially operated as a pizzeria, boasts a superb beach location and an attractive interior that is bright, spacious and designed in contemporary style, and features a special bar-style table in front of the glass-fronted kitchen. The contemporary Mediterranean menu is high on detail, with specific sections for fresh pasta, innovative pizzas and Asian-inspired dishes." - Michelin Inspector

Beautiful location, delicious food, and excellent service! We had a wonderful experience at Brel. The setting is stunning, the food was full of flavour and beautifully presented, and the service was outstanding, friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Incredibly disappointing. Brel was recommended to us as a firm favourite. The ambience and staff are pleasant enough. Sadly the food just didn't hit the mark in any way. We ordered starters and mains and we left hungry. Every single dish had way too much sugar added, there was no balance of flavours, which were largely just sweet and the textures were all wrong. Overpriced and rather pretentious. I had calamari croissant which really was very unpleasant, and then had a salmon main which came on a bed of what I can only assume was potatoes puree, a starchy flavourless liquid. There were no vegetables, and no texture it was all just mush. My friends had different dishes and they all contained unpleasant amounts of sugar where sugar should not be a prevalent flavour. A really strange menu, at high prices and small, incomplete portions. What I was served was not a meal. I can see from other recent reviews other people have had a similar experience.

Lovely food (especially the mussels, croquettes and cheesy pasta). Wasn’t a fan of the squid croissant. Service friendly however expected a bit more (eg to be asked if food is ok, to receive water when ordered).

What a shame. This place has really gone downhill. Used to be one of the best in the town and a bit more elevated, still oddly in the Michelin guide. Food has become mediocre and expensive. Service was very perfunctory on our last visit (have been at least 8 times) and we weren't even asked once if the food was good. So we won't be returning, sadly.

Hello. We ate two times at Brel. ✌️The food was very good: fresh and delicious both times. 👍☀️We tried a lot of differences dishes, but spaghetti with 30 months old cheese and desert dedicated to grandmother were our favorites! Cozy atmosphere 😻 Highly recommend to try 😇

A beautiful restaurant with fabulous food and excellent service. We booked in for our first night in El Campello and enjoyed it so much we booked in again for our last night. Totally recommend if in the area...one tip though if you're having the parmesan Spaghetti....you'll need to share it! Or take left overs home and warm up the next day for lunch..we did and it was still delicious!

Incredible food, the smoked buratta salad was amazing, the bolognaise in the lasagna was one of the best I've tried. Over all a really pleasant surprise. It is a little bit more expensive but worth it in my opinion. We paid 120 for 3 adults and one child. With starters, main and drinks.

We enjoyed our last dinner in El Campello a lot. Like every year, we come to Brel - the best restaurant in town. Our lovely waitress Lydia was so thoughtful and took great care of us. Thank you to the kitchen for an incredible meal. Highly recommended the Tuna and Truffle Pasta.

Yelp
OK, Michelin got it wrong this time. This "italian" restaurant attempted to be "mo-dern" with deconstructed Caesar Salad and failed miserably. The foam had no taste - no anchovy, garlic or other taste. The lasagna was an adjustment by using wonton wrappers. The crunch provided nice texture but again, no flavor, no salt, herbs or other seasoning. Definitely need to walk past this restaurant without stopping.
