"I was really excited about Brentwood opening in the space previously occupied by Houston’s. I am always interested in what this restaurant group is doing. The menu at Brentwood does not disappoint. It’s filled with well-appointed American style cuisine." - Courtney E. Smith

"Welcome to the Metroplex, another Vandelay Hospitality (Hudson House, Drake’s, East Hampton Sandwich Co., Lucky’s Chicken, and more) restaurant. This one is all dark wood, banquettes, and American fare in that area where they store all the restaurants in Far North Dallas." - Courtney E. Smith

This is a good, intimate place to get lunch or dinner. Great happy hour specials! I got the chicken strips with fries and to my surprise: the tempura batter is delicious, as well as the fries were shoestring fries! The homemade sauces are great as well! 🙂

Delicious food! The wait-staff are extremely pleasant and in our experience, will anticipate your needs before you can ask. Never had a bad meal or experience here - definitely a little hidden gem of Addison.

Brentwood delivered on every level—inviting atmosphere, attentive service, and great food. The spinach dip was especially delicious, and the cocktails were perfectly crafted. We had a fantastic experience and can’t wait to come back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and love that they offer many of the Houston's favorites! Our steak was cooked perfect med radre and the smoked salmon & creamed spinach were delicious. I love that they still do the fresh squeezed grapefruit too. Service was excellent as well!

The service here was amazing! Crystal is awesome. The happy hr is from 2-6pm, everyday. I had an espresso martini which was good. I wasn’t a fan of the tempura breading on the chicken strips. The spicy tuna crispy rice was delicious. Cool place to check out, but the food was just okay for me. I’ll try new items if I go.

Right after church on Sunday my family and I usually go out to eat. We decided on Brentwood which was formerly “Houston’s” but switched names. The atmosphere was amazing and really laid back. The service was also amazing we had a wonderful waiter who kept checking on us as well. Let me get to the meat and potatoes of it all the food was extremely delicious and so fall off the bone. I had got the fork and knife ribs with coleslaw which had the right mix, my fries were to die for I honestly don’t think I’ve had fries as crispy as that. My mum had the sandwich and her friend had the coleslaw broccoli and the seared trout. It was definitely a meal to remember and I’m SOOOO planning to go back there.

My favorite thing about this upper scale restaurant is the atmosphere! Romantic, dimmer lighting, real candles at the tables, black, comfy, and private booths... So good for a date night! I thought the food was good. A tad bit pricey, but not unreasonable. We ordered a lemon drop cocktail - delicious! The Brentwood sushi roll as an appetizer - unique and great flavor. I had the Scottish salmon for my entre and I'll say the salmon was just okay, a bit overdone for my taste, but not bad. The sides it came with were good. My husband's fries were better though, lol. His french dip was good but it did not have a great Au Jux or enough of it. Also, bring a sweater... It's VERY cold. Excellent, professional service. It is a slower meal, so go for a nice long date night... Not a quick bite.

The prime rib was way too salty. Houstons PR was perfectly balanced. I was under the impression this was a similar menu and staff. It falls short of that. The cocktails were really good yet at $16-$19 each, not really worth it. We asked for "prepared horseradish" and were brought out what was apparently shaved horseradish root. That would be inedible. I would guess a higher end restaurant that serves prime rib would know that is not prepared horseradish. Everything had way too much parmesan and/or salt. To be fair, me and my wife got the same dishes. I'd be willing to try the sandwiches or burger next time but for $200 in drinks and food for 2 people I'll pass on the more expensive entrees moving fwd. Update: the GM contacted me to apologize for the experience. I'm always willing to give businesses another shot when it's clear the management and/or ownership care as much to speak to a nobody like myself and try and make things better. Shows they truly care about the patron experience and their business. I'll be going back to try other menu items for sure. Thanks to management for taking the time. It's a good indicator of continued improvement. Cheers
