"Looks like West Sixth bar Brew Exchange is closed. The 706 West 6th Street bar was known for changing the prices of its 100+ beers based on supply and demand. The bar was under KPG Hospitality, which runs Kung Fu Saloon and the forthcoming 8 Track on Manor Road. KPG also closed another West Sixth spot Benji’s Cantina in August 2016." - Nadia Chaudhury

I was at Brew Exchange a few weeks ago for a Drink and Click ATX Photowalk, and couldn't have been happier with the place. I loved the whole mechanism of drink prices rising and falling based on popularity. It offered a fun incentive to try lesser-known offerings. You get to watch the prices change on a ticker around the whole bar as well as a central monitor, which was surprisingly entertaining. The atmosphere is good, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the glasses are big. What more could you ask for?

I went here for the first time for a SXSW event. I had an opportunity to meet the manager. I love that the beer prices change based on their popularity. It's got a nice atmosphere, TV's, not too big and not too small. Stop by if you want to try some great local, domestic, and international beers.

It's fun, and the concept is cool. Only problem is that not all their beers make the crawl, which can make ordering difficult. Every beer is listed on a chalkboard, but it's not easy to access when the place is packed. I wasn't expecting a DJ on a Friday night with straight up dance music, but it was really fun!

I love this Stock Market themed bar! With drink specials being displayed on the ticker that is constantly rotating around the bar, and might I add constantly changing. It's especially nice when I beer I like crashes and you can get an excellent, and normally expensive beer, for VERY cheap. Definitely worth the stop.

I went to Brew Exchange a couple of weeks ago for a Drink and Click™ ATX Photowalk with my friend Juan Gonzalez and a bunch of other photographers. They were so hospitable and the atmosphere is really great. It's a fun bar scene - the prices rise (only slightly) with popularity of a drink order, but when the market "crashes" on something you can get a great deal. Fun! They have a lot of "pickle juice" shots. I didn't try one, but I'll have to do that in the future. There's a ticker around the top of the bar so you can see the current prices - I loved the way it all looked. I had a couple of great beers - the glasses are nice and big. Had a great time there. Check them out the next time you're in downtown Austin. Thanks for being so hospitable, guys! :)

We attended a Drink and Click™ ATX at the Brew Exchange. A friend of mine recommended this place. I'm so glad we picked this location. The staff was very helpful and helped us understand their cool concept on how the Brew Exchange works. They didn't have a problem with our large group of Photographers and welcome the shots we took inside their location. The beer is cold and the glasses are large. The atmosphere is great and everyone was very relaxed. A great place to sit and watch sports or for a large gathering. I will recommended to any Austinite out there.

Of of my favorite bars on West 6th. This place not only have lots of beers on tap, but also one of the best themes in town. Besides the big selections of craft beers, there's TVs scattered throughout the bar the catch the biggest games from all sports. If you want your private TV, they supply you a table, a remote, and a sound dome so you can hear your game. Truly amazing. So if you want good vibe, sports, and beer -- this is your place.

a good beer bar in the middle of west 6th. it relies too much on their stock exchange theme that just ends up being gimmicky. the place is normally crowded and for a beer bar feels too ostentatious. the bar tenders just want to serve you and get rid of the lines. their beer selection is fine, but there's too much of a clash between their theme, clientele and product to make it a recommendable place
