"Brew Five Points draws in an eclectic crowd, from business people working downtown to those living in the Bohemian-feeling historic Five Points neighborhood. Brew is known for its drink of the month, which changes with the seasons and is up to the whim of the baristas. Along with coffee, the shop is known for its Texas-style breakfast tacos, which come loaded with smoked brisket, barbecue sauce, eggs, white cheddar cheese, and pickled red onions. The two are a perfect match — just grab a few extra napkins." - Megan duBois

Yelp
*Not the best picture, but the inside was awesome, and crowded, so I didn't wanna snap pics of random people. Had a great time at BREW recently! Went with some friends who highly recommended we give it a go, and the latte I had was awesome and the vibes all around were cool! It was a comfortable atmosphere and people were hanging out, drinking coffee, reading books, and relaxing! Certainly recommend as well!

Yelp
I love BREW a latte :-) This is a wonderful little cafe with amazing coffee, tea, desserts, and food. I love grabbing a cold brew with vanilla syrup or my all time fave, the dirty chai (definitely one of the best in Jax). Now when it comes to delicious baked treats, they have the good stuff!! I'm obsessed with the earl grey shortbread cookie and of course their kolaches. Everyday they have a tasty selection of treats. Their food menu is great too, take a look and try one of their breakfast options. I really enjoy their breakfast burrito. The cafe is great for sitting in to work and sip a coffee or for take out. I really like the location as well because it is right in five points so it gives a great vibe. The service is great and the people are very nice. Definitely a great place!

Yelp
I went to brew for a silent disco event on Friday night. It was absolutely absolutely amazing! I loved the indoor/outdoor set up. Let me show my face real quick, I didn't have any food or beverages except bottled water, but I tell you what I was so impressed with this event. I really look forward to trying out the establishment that hosted it when they are open for their daytime business. Thanks BREW!

Yelp
This is my go to spot for breakfast in Five Points because where else can you get mimosa at 7:30 AM. It's not listed on the menu but get the Lavender mimosas and you won't regret it. My favorite items: 1. Ranch Sammy - avocado, egg and white cheddar on a huge Texas toast. Enough to share with 2 people 2. Black bean breakfast taco with white cheddar and chimi fried egg Even though the baked goods look pretty in the display up front, I thought they were pretty dry. I've tried the cinnamon buns and kolache. Hence knocking off 1 star.

Alana H.

Yelp
Pretty good coffee with a chill, standard 5 Points atmosphere. The iced latte with salted caramel flavoring was fantastic and they had a nice selection of baked goods. Highly recommend the iced chai latte. I'm happy that they serve savory items such as breakfast and kolaches. The chorizo kolache had a nice amount of spice and was delicious, but a bit doughy. The staff was quick to help us, but not very warm (Do you expect anything different from Five Points?). We'll definitely be back for the coffee, but it's a bit loud and busy to work or study.

Stacy J.

Yelp
Ohhhh brew!!! Your coffee is so good, but I could eat every single thing in your dessert case!!!! The gluten free muffin was amazing and the scone was absolute perfection! Such a relaxed and nice vibe there too!

Yelp
Friends and I came here for brunch on a Monday. The cafe does not have a private lot so keep in mind that you may have to drive around to find street parking as it is located at an area with plenty of other cafes and restaurants. It was really busy with quite a few people studying or working. When you walk in, you order your drink, food, and pastry, then find yourself a table. There were a few tables that can comfortably fit 1 or 2 people as well as a handful of bar seating. I would probably not go here with a big group because we had a hard time finding space with just 4 of us - we ended up sitting at the bar. - Quiche: butternut squash and goat cheese quiche served with a soy sauce balsamic dressing side salad. I loved the flavor of the quiche but would probably like to have the crust a bit softer as it was difficult to cut through. - Hot Latte with Lavender Syrup: The coffee was great, but I would say that the lavender flavor is very mild. The latte was also definitely more for those who love their coffee because I prefer sweeter coffees and had to add sugar. My husband and friends got different variations of the breakfast sandwiches, and all complimented them. They thought that the ingredients were fresh and prepared well.

Yelp
Great location, quick service with delicious coffee and treats and a nice ambiance. Highly recommend trying whatever shortbread cookie is on offer for the day! We will be back!

Solveig S.

Yelp
Tried the seasonal Strawberry Fields Matcha and it was perfectly sweet and delicious! A group favorite!

Yelp
I love this coffee! I've only stopped in a few times, but have enjoyed my drinks (and treats) each visit. The showstopper this time was the homemade vanilla bean marshmallow that they toast right in front of you! I got it on a latte made with the seasonal gingersnap syrup and it was a full cup of Fall flavors. I have been dreaming about going back for another toasted marshmallow! My latte was great and I appreciated that they could make it with half the syrup since I don't usually drink sweet coffee. A Saturday afternoon at the coffee bar was nice and comfortable. I would like to work in this coffee shop, but am hesitant since most of the seats are usually full. I have heard great things about their breakfast tacos and look forward to trying them one day soon!

Savannah S.

Yelp
Super cute local coffee shop/breakfast spot with inside and outside seating. They have sweet and savory pastries which makes this place unique along with a full breakfast/brunch menu. They have seasonal coffee drinks so be sure to check those out too. For January, the two feature drinks are a brown sugar vanilla and a calamansi cappuccino. I opted for the brown sugar vanilla with almond and it was delicious.

Kelly S.

Yelp
Brew is one of my favorite stops in 5 points. They have amazing coffee and breakfast Sammy's.

Katarina L.

Yelp
I stopped into the coffee shop three times in two days soooo that should say how big of a fan I am. I only got black coffee, but it was strong and delicious and always a great way to start my day (or my afternoon). Besides the much needed coffee, their pastry case is what dreams are made of. I am not kidding!!! It was filled to the brim with goodies, but the only one I tried (and loved) was the cinnamon bun. We got it warmed up and it was so so tasty and ooey gooey. Was it the smartest way to start the morning? Maybe not, but it was so dang good. And I was on vacation so... The shop itself is adorable. Packed with plants, cute art on the wall, lots of seating (both tables and a bar counter) so not only is it a good choice for grab and go, but it would be ideal for sitting and relaxing with a cup of coffee and something sweet. I think it might have just been a Valentine's Day thing, but they had a ton of beauitfully made floral arrangements for sale. I got one for my cousin because they were just too gorgeous not to. On top of everything else, everyone working there was super sweet. It's nestled right on a main ave with lots of great antique shops, boutiques and bars. I love finding the great local cafes when I travel, and this was is exactly that.

Julia H.

Yelp
I love the menu's simplicity. You pick what type of coffee you want, then the flavor, hot or iced and it's always delicious. The service varies I'm guessing based on the mood of whomever is at the register. The brisket kolaches were my favorite item here, but they no longer serve it. The quiche is also yummy. The venue itself is small. If you need a sit down and eat spot, this is not it. This is pretty much a take out/to-go spot

Bruce A.

Yelp
The perfect spot for a morning coffee and delicious, shareable food. I'm not nearly cool enough to be in this place but the people who work here are amazing and the decor/space is incredible. Highlight of a Sunday walk where we stumbled into Brew.

Lysa B.

Yelp
I loved the coffee and the pastry for a quick breakfast run ! The staff was helpful fast and efficient :)

Ashton R.

Yelp
I've been to Brew quite a few times while I've lived in Jax and my experience has been the same every time: friendly workers, cozy atmosphere, and espresso that tastes good! I love coffee and I especially love finding new places to hang out. That's what I really enjoy about Brew. Their vibes are immaculate and it's really such a nice place to sit and chill. I've had a select few items that I haven't enjoyed, but overall, I find Brew to be a great little shop. It's by far my favorite to go to in the Riverside area and it really all comes down to the taste of their espresso and the variety of latte flavors and pastries they sell. Will definitely be back soon!

Kacie B.

Yelp
I love this place. A great local establishment who is celebrating their birthday this weekend! Celebrating 9 years of amazing service, great food, and excellent coffee! Thank you Brew for encompassing the Riverside vibe, you are so loved! (And your breakfast tacos are awesome)

Halley B.

Yelp
The food and coffee here was super good, it was kind of expensive but worth it. I got the goat cheese and arugula toast with a hot honey on top and it was loaded with cheese and arugula. It's a busy place but the staff is super quick and nice. If you want a table inside you will have to wait a while but the barstools are typically open.

Tiffany L.

Yelp
This place is small and easy to miss, but it's super cute. They have some food items that smelled and looked really good, but I didn't try any at my recent/first visit. I like that their drinks are affordable and tasty. The staff is also super nice!

Emily G.

Yelp
Brew is the best kept secret in 5 points! The chill coffee shop vibes are great to get work done. They offer the best tacos and sweets. Say hi to Callie next time you go. The service was amazing. I love the hipster vibe here.

Ken E.

Yelp
Surprisingly good food and coffee and surprisingly terrible service. We were about to order and the woman behind the counter could not have possibly looked more bored or put out. While we were about to order, a friend of hers showed up with his dog, without saying a word to us, she suddenly left to talk to the friend and give attention to the dog. She literally left, went outside and completely ignored us. Eventually she came back in, didn't wash her hands, after being all over the dog and got behind the counter, where she started scrolling on her phone. Someone else eventually took our order. This was on a Sunday afternoon in our own neighborhood.

Dea H.

Yelp
Love love love Brew! Their coffee is great, but their food & pastry case IS TO DIE FOR!!! Calli is a fantastic baker and I would eat brunch there every day if i could! My favorites are their breakfast tacos & jalapeño sausage kolaches! I love them a latte!!!! A local gem and a must stop if you're visiting!

Andrea M.

Yelp
Good quality coffee at a good price! The friendly service was a great perk too. Cold brew w/ salty caramel ($4.50): This was a pretty tasty drink: flavorful, cold, and caffeinated. The sweetness level was perfect for my sweet tooth. It was about a 12 oz drink so it was a great deal. Tumeric honey latte ($4.50): The tumeric was super subtle and not overwhelming. It was an overall pretty tasty latte with the perfect amount of sweetness.

Miriam C.

Yelp
What a fun and charming place!!! I recommend getting there earlier rather than later, as it filled up with a line out the door when we were leaving. We arrived around 9:45 am on a beautiful November Saturday. There was no line! The cashier was friendly and helpful! My friend ordered a super fun latte with a giant marshmallow! I skipped coffee and ordered the ranch Sammy! Sooooo good! Toasted fresh bread, with crispy bacon, perfectly executed egg and cheese and a delicious ranch sauce. I could have taken a bottle of that sauce home. Would love to return next time I'm in the area!

Lucia P.

Yelp
I was looking forward to coming to Brew since I was in the Jacksonville area. We walked in and staff was not the most kind, a little standoffish and cold. We ordered the ranch sammy, the potato hash with eggs, a lime mango scone, two cookies, and iced oat latte. The coffee was delicious. Great blend and balance. The ranch Sammy was not very good. The bread was barely toasted, there was a lot of cheese that was not melted, the eggs were over cooked and flavor was a bit off. The potato hash was quite tasty. The potatoes and broccoli had very good flavor, the egg was also over cooked. The cookies were okay, the better one was the checkered, and the scone was nearing the dry and stale side. The frosting was quite good but not enough to go around. The shop is very nicely decorated and they sell cool gear to buy. There's a wide selection of food, pastries, and drinks. Better customer service would improve the experience.

Kim T.

Yelp
My son and I wanted to pass some time before the antique store opened so we stopped into Brew and woah was it the right idea! We got a couple coffees and the chorizo breakfast burritos to split. Yummy in my tummy. I enjoyed the heck out of our breakfast. Looking forward to the next visit to try out more!

Neal S.

Yelp
Bro, the food straps harder than Brian Shaw! I got the "brisket sandwich" and a "ginger plumb" tea which was fantastic for 11:30am. The sandwich ingredients from the menu reads: "tyler's smoked chopped brisket, housemade pimento cheese, pickled red onions, cumin pickles, griddled on our bread" and you get every bit of that flavor. Perfection on bread made in-house with love. With pimento cheese oozing down the sides, thick chopped brisket, and the pickles are actually "cummin' pickles." That's because its what you do as you eat them (all jokes aside the pickles are fire!). The service is always great! Every time I've came in, the same smiling faces are there and they all work together like a well oiled machine. Start to finish, it may take 6 minuets to get my food on a very busy morning. The food is fresh, hot, and flavor packed when it arrives always & you feel the love put into it. The ambiance is always great inside with low music, people always chatting, and doing coffee shop things. Do yourself a favor and stop in to check them out! Check their hours anywhere online and if you're an introvert, just order online. They have a great online platform for ordering and it's very fast service. Their food is great, the service is superb, and the ambiance is that perfect coffee shop vibe!

Yelp
Cute little coffee shop/eatery in 5 Points! After dropping off our puppy at "school" aka daycare across the street we stopped in for coffee. They have a small selection of standard offering and house made syrups tho none are sugar free. They also have food and pastries. The food menu looks good will def have to try it out sometime. The pastries look amazing! One thing I wish about many places is they are all "healthy" or whatever and offer the brown sugar packets or stevia. The sugar in the raw I feel like takes 10 packets to even taste so not worth the calories. Stevia has an awful aftertaste to me. Why no Splenda or actual sugar? If trying to be "natural" I get it but Splenda is made from sugar so it's natural. *rant over*

Brianna M.

Yelp
This is my favorite coffee shop ever, period. Brew is the epitome of shopping local as they support other local businesses through their sourcing (e.g., graphic design, florals, coffee beans). The creativity in both the food, the atmosphere, and the drinks is unmatched. Interesting and delicious seasonal items, and always a wonderful visit. I haven't lived in Jax since 2021, but I always make it a priority to come in when I'm home. PSA, do not visit BREW without getting an everything kolache. You will not regret it!!

Shane D.

Yelp
I'm not much of a coffee person but I absolutely love the matches here and occasional breakfast. Staff is always friendly, it's a quiet nice space for the most part to catch up on some work.

Kelly R.

Yelp
We stopped in to get some cold chai lattes. The person who rang me up was very nice. The drinks came up very quickly. I loved it! At first it tasted different and I was not expecting anyone to re-invent the chai wheel but it was great! It was not as sweet as Starbucks ( I think, I don't drink from there often) but had a really good flavor. I enjoyed our quick stop on the way to the park. Cute little place!

Stacy S.

Yelp
Had a wonderful breakfast here. Tacos and breakfast sandwich were amazing. Coffee was pure silk! Love this place. Great service. Amazing prices.

Kaitlin M.

Yelp
BREW is the BEST! This place has such a special rotating menu that celebrates the seasonality of food and beverages. And with the Holiday season upon us, nothing is more festive than a marshmallow on my peppermint mocha cappuccino. YUM!

Juvy D.

Yelp
Came to five points to go to a certain store and then decided to try this coffee place since it was a few stores down. This place is really cute and the workers are very nice. Ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich. It was really good. The crunch on the bread is awesome and the sandwich itself is huge. Definitely shareable. The drinks were just "okay". My coffee was a little watered down. The matcha latte was like plain milk. Definitely could use another 2 scoops of matcha powder and extra sweetener. Overall, I'd consider giving them another try, but next time I would customize my drinks to get it right.

Tim D.

Yelp
Brew in five points is a bright spot in jax. Flavorful breakfast tacos and delicious cold brew. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Taking my wife back soon for breakfast!

Cade S.

Yelp
Some of the kindest staff and the best espresso based drinks I've had in a super long time, amazing breakfast tacos and other tasting bites. The salted caramel cappuccino is probably the best coffee drink I've ever had in my life.

Jasmine R.

Yelp
Hands-down, the best coffee in all of Jacksonville! The vibe is awesome and the baristas are extremely helpful. I always recommend the salty caramel latte.

Christina D.

Yelp
Went there for a breakfast snack: Love that they have kolaches and they were good but mostly bread rather than filling. Sweet snacks looked good but didn't try them this visit. Overall the food is overpriced but I would imagine the coffee is pretty good- it's a cute spot to stop in when you are in the area. Good place to meet up with a friend for coffee but not the coffee shop to go to if you're looking to have table space or study.

Loan N.

Yelp
Today my friends and I needed a pick me up after work today, and we were close to Brew coffee; so we thought why not try this place out. It was our first time here. The place itself is such a cute little place. I love the small details in the lighting and of course the plants! It adds a touch to it. Very welcoming, peaceful, and calm. There are indoor/outdoor seating. From what I saw social distance was enforced. I ordered a vanilla creme lavender cappuccino with almond milk and it was so good! It was perfect, just what I needed after a long day of work. My friends loved what they got as well! I don't remember what it was though, but they said it was really good. They also sell some pastries and some cold drinks/coffee in a can to go if you want that as well. Overall, this place is a gem and I will definitely stop by here again to get coffee whenever I'm in the area. Highly recommend this coffee shop!

Rebecca U.

Yelp
Very nice area has outdoor seating so I sat outside and enjoyed my meal. They also serve sweets and deserts. Staff is super nice and helpful.

Raven D.

Yelp
Went to have a little breakfast snack and coffee and it was amazing. I had a kolache as well as a coffee with a house made marshmallow on top. I like that this cafe always has floral flavors for coffee as well as incorporated into their pastries. If you see the marshmallows don't skip it!

Precious R.

Yelp
So my first visit was amazing. The place is a little small for the crowd but it was still really nice. I have bought 3 different people to check the place out and I will go back fairly often. It's a bit nosy when extremely busy but I can still sit down and read a good book or study!

Carole M.

Yelp
Stop for coffee during day Park on street may be tough but go around corner for more space Good coffee Efficient staff

Lamia D.

Yelp
Greens Bowl I was trying to pass by some time after dropping my mom off an appointment and am not usually on this side of town. I found this cute little spot on Yelp. This was probably the best breakfast bowl I've had in my 23 years of living in Jacksonville lol. Aside from the delicious cappuccino and food, the vibes were immaculate and I would definitely be a regular if I lived around here!

Uma P.

Yelp
it's a really cute coffee shop. It is slightly hard to find parking. It is parking outside. I'm not sure if you have to pay on weekdays but we went on a weekend and we're out pretty quickly. They have the spacious area inside to sit, but if you're waiting for an order, it gets very crowded in the front. Obviously, you can wait outside as well but it's difficult to know when your order is ready. They have an assortment of foods and pastries. My mom got the spinach loaf bread/croissant thing. She was not a huge fan. She said it was OK. We all got coffee which was good too. The staff there was extremely nice. The food came out semi-quickly but they were very busy. A lot of people waiting around for their orders. The area where you get the sugar in the coffee creamer was a little bit crowded and packed because of its location near the front. They probably need to re-organize that, but I'm not sure there's space for that. Regardless, this is a cute place to go. It would be better if you sat inside and just relaxed and chilled and ate there. It's definitely a cute place with lots of shops nearby and find location.

Maya C.

Yelp
I feel bad because I've had BREW takeout at the beginning of COVID19 quarantine and never wrote a review about them. Bad Yelper, but I think I've redeemed myself having it again. Like Erica W said....kolaches. It's all about the kolaches, bay-bee! The first time I had one, it was actually the kolache sandwich. That was delish then so I tried it again, times two. This time around I ordered the Sausage Kolache and the Spinach Garlic Kolache. Yes, both for me. Don't judge. First off, a kolache is a sweet and savory yeast bun that sometimes is filled and sometimes has fruit on top. The sausage kolache was filled with white cheddar and a sausage patty. Sounds basic, until you bite it. The dough alone is what brings me back. It's subtly-sweet like a breakfast should be with a blast of proteins to wake you up. The spinach garlic one I wanted to try not so much for breakfast but just to see what it would taste like. Same subtly-sweet outside, but the garlicky spinach inside would make this a perfect lunch option in my opinion. I really enjoyed how well this paired together. And you know, I couldn't leave out the coffee! Always ordered an Americano with lavender or honey or both! It's so good. This place is a must!

Chelsea R.

Yelp
They are still open during the pandemic! They have a cart right at the front and are taking Take-Out orders. They still have a full menu. I ordered a Cold Brew, some breakfast tacos and pastries. I was hoping they would have some fun seasonal lattes on this chilly morning but none that I could see. Cold brew was ok. Definitely needed some sugar added to it. I saw another reviewer added lavender syrup to hers? I'm sure that was amazing! The sweet potato and chorizo taco was outstanding! Loved the strong flavors in this one. Very hearty and filling. The OG was a perfect name for the second one. It tasted like a true breakfast all rolled into a delicious taco. The flavors of the bacon, eggs, and avocado was very familiar and comforting The Migus was delicious and different. What a mexican breakfast would taste like-I assume. The tacos are for real! Highly suggest getting those if you love flavor and delicious food!! The cinnamon roll was Devine! I read other reviews about how good it was and very happy I ordered it.

Maury K.

Yelp
I LOVE the coffee and food (OG Taco is magic). HOWEVER; there always seems to be an extremely bougie attitude from the people who take your order. Not the chefs, they deliver the magic perfectly. But the ladies who handle front of house most always have horrible customer service skills. Today, I asked (not the first time) if they sold or had any merch with their classic, retro tag line "not bad". They told me that unfortunately they had none today, as always. Further they directed my gaze at other swag. I told her I didn't like that swag, and I wanted "not bad" swag, exactly as they print it on their bags, mugs and glasses. One of the ladies rolled her eyes at me and turned away, not wanting to listen to me and make me go away! Therefore, from this point I will start giving them back their attitude, but I will continue to patronize because of their magical delights.

Erin L.

Yelp
Sammy Kolche - wow, yummy. A little too sweet for me, but I enjoyed it anyway. Sadly my toddler saw a sign of green, he refused to eat it. But it's his loss. My husband got chorizo with potatoes breakfast tacos and he said he was in heaven! Matcha- yum! Not the best I've drank, but I'm enjoying it! Mocha- my hubs said it's better than the one he drank yesterday in Fort Walton. Friendly staff, very engaging. Cute ambiance.
