On Fridays, I try to get Fish as much as possible, even though I'm not really a religious person. I love fried fish, as a Canadian colony diehard.
While they had Fish 'N Chips on the menu, this was a misnomer, they should have called it Fried fish nuggets and fries. With a beer, tax and tip, my meal came out to $29.
The food was not good, and it looked nothing like English or Scottish style fish and chips. A good fish is a large fillet of cod, haddock or halibut. I can also take in Salmon....but these were little nuggets and they were soggy, not crisp. To make it even worse, they had not been de-boned properly, a no-no. Two of them had bones in them that needed to be picked out.
Secondly, the chips aren't chips, they're seasoned shoestring type fries, similar to those you get from Ore-Ida. I don't mind seasoned fries, but anyone who orders FnC knows that chips needs to be hand cut, thick and unseasoned (that why you give us salt and malt vinegar!) so they can be soft, mash potato-like on the inside.
And the beer, it was good but at $7, I expected a pint. I swore, this was more like a half pint or less (can't confirm).
The only reason why I gave it a second star was because it was a nice warm day and they put me close to the patio so I got to get some late afternoon sun.
