What a nice place! Very good service, beer is good, I liked the Lager and Honey Wheat, not so much the Sequoia Red, which is an amber ale. But that is just me. Plates were very well served and sized, I had the Brewbaker's salad which was easily for two. The other dishes we ordered looked good and we ended up taking hime enough for dinner. No one complained about the food except a small mistake and my wife's hamburger was not well done as she ordered it. This was quickly taken care of and was good according to her. Highly recommend place in Visalia downtown.

Google
I failed. I had the French dip, which was very enjoyable. But compared to the "B.A.C.K. pasta" and their pizza burger, I'm afraid the French dip was just enjoyable. Those other two dishes were fantastic. The sauce they used in the pizza burger kicked it up and using the pizza dough as a bun was a brilliant choice. As for the pasta. So simple. Chicken, artichoke, cheese and bacon. But a good portion and very satisfying. I had the red ale which complimented everything I ate. Great place. And get the potato wedges with garlic. Amazing

Our waitress was amazing! I ordered a round of Red Beers 🍻 to set the Lunch Vibe w/ my Family who has Never been. We sat upstairs, and enjoyed our lunch & Every1 was Super Happy.

This place reminds me of a local secret. We were on our way through town for an archery tournament and we will definitely be back. The food was AMAZING! My son got the Revved Up Pastrami with garlic fries, my husband got the Reuben with potato wedges and I got the French Dip with regular shoestring fries. It was all perfection. My only suggestion is that the au jus for the French Dip could be a little richer in flavor, but it was still excellent. We also tried the beer and soda flight. The Imperial Stout, Mocha Stout and Red were excellent. I'm big into stouts (they are my favorite) and these did not disappoint. I wish we could have tried the carrot cake and the coffees, but we were too stuffed. I also wish I had gotten the sweet potato fries, but I love sweet potato fries. They looked so yummy! We will definitely be back!

Google
Pleasant surprise from other breweries. I had personally grown tired of the food from OTHER breweries in the area. Their food dropped in value and quality when they used to be great. However, I’m very happy that I stumbled into Brewbakers today. I had a small fish and chips with a substation of garlic potato wedges. I paired this with the Sequoia Red and it was pretty damn good. Not only is it good value (less than $20 for the meal+beer), it was very good. Wouldn’t be surprised if somebody told me that all the food is made in house. Staff was very timely and friendly, which I love from these local places because it makes it easier to support them. I personally did not try the pizza burger, but a friend in our party loved it. The popcorn chicken was good and was a decent sized piece of chicken. Everything was cooked extremely well and I will definitely be coming back soon.

We were camping in Sequoia National Park and asked a park ranger about a burger place he would recommend on our way down the mountain. He recommended Brewbakers, not only for the burgers but also for their beers. We were not disappointed. The server woman was so helpful, and their beer flights with 9 beer samplers and 3 handcrafted soda samplers were only $15 dollars! Super affordable. Lastly, the burgers were amazing. Best I've had in recent memory. Stop here after an inspiring but tiring hike, and you will feel complete. P.S. ask for garlic wedges (not on menu)!

Google
Good beer. Bad food and unfriendly waiters. Hostess was the friendliest face I spoke to. Got a terrible special of cheese slop over potato wedges. When I paid the server did tell me I should have told her to help my experience which I appreciated. You may have a better experience than me. Good luck

Google
Fish and chips were delicious and worth it. Steak was okay for a brewery company but not the best. Potato wedges were not as good as the fries. I do like their flight $18 and worth even pretty penny!!!

Yelp
The absolute best fish and chips in the world, the tartar sauce changed my life. Good beer, good food, good vibes. My only qualm: the bartender called a Michelada a "poor man's Bloody Mary". I thought that was uncalled for. It's completely different, regional to Mexico and adored by many. Not a poor man's drink. I literally drove 45 mins for some fish and chips. So, do go.

Yelp
It has been years since we ate at Brewbakers. I'm sure it will be years from now before we do again. We used to enjoy a meal there. Today we did not. My review has nothing to say or complain about regarding their brewed products, since we did not partake. Just the overall experience was not what we had remembered. The ambiance , although still highlighted by the beauty of the interior seemed "dark" and uninviting. The service was good, but seemingly given without interest or much care. The food was really blah. Edible but blah. We both were really sorry to have chosen Brewbakers out of all the restaurants in Visalia.

Yelp
The food here was delicious! I had the Reuben sandwich with garlic fries on the side. Both were really good and I liked that the Reuben had a lot of sauerkraut. The service was really friendly and attentive! Overall I liked the laid back atmosphere of this place. There were two stories of seating and we sat up top. The bathrooms were very clean too.

Yelp
Love this place! The employees are great and the food is consistently good. The ambiance is especially fun & I loved the experience!

Yelp
Wife and I went to lunch here with friends and it was a great time in a chill brewery atmosphere. I had the ultimate burger and it was cooked perfectly medium, was juicy and flavorful. We shared a pitcher of their IPA and it was good. Staff was super friendly and attentive.

Yelp
First time in Visalia and decided to try Brewbakers. The location is downtown where the street is lined with trees and cute shops. Really liked the interior of the pub with Tiffany lights and old styled bar area. Ordered the Diablo pizza. It's not for the weak. It's spicy but my husband loved it. Side note, if you order the pizza it will take a little longer. I had the special, a tri tip sandwich, it was more of a patty melt style than Bbq, it was delicious. Thinly sliced tri tip on grilled sourdough. Our food paired nicely with their IPA and Red Ale.

Yelp
2 stars because Gilbert P was nice. The Justin Cabernet is execellent and my friend liked 3 out of the 5 Bold and Hoppy sampler. The hamburger is a joke. I ordered it medium rare and it came out well done. It had no flavor. The side salad tasted of sulfite preservative. I know that it is not illegal in Tulare County to put take out in polystyrene foam food containers, but this product is harmful to people as well as the enviornment.

Yelp
Came here after a long trip in the sequoia mountains with some friends and it was pretty good. Ordered my steak raw and it came out perfect & the lemon chicken is to die for as well. The staff are nice and there's both upstairs, downstairs, & outside seating! Place seemed to be pretty poppin on a Sunday in the little downtown area! Also, looks like they updated their menu so I tried getting some good photos of it since there's only a few of the new ones that aren't as clear.

Yelp
This is one of my family's go-to restaurants for celebrations! Their food is always great, with different options that can accommodate lots of people. The servers are always very friendly, they make it even more fun! I just wish it was more accessible for wheelchairs. The seating for bigger groups is upstairs but as far as I know, no elevator is available.

Robert R.

Yelp
Foods always great. Service is slow midday. First beer came quick, then second one took 15 minutes after I went empty. Where's the hustle to sell! lol otherwise the pesto pasta is killer. Cheers to democracy.

Yelp
My effort to eat at every restaurant on Maim Street continues. I saw a big neon sign pointing with restaurant on it. I took it as a sign and walked in. What a cool place. Stained glass lights? Check. Huge beer tanks? Check. Beautiful copper bar top? Check. Friendly bar tender with big bushy beer? Check. Too bad it's lunch time, I would love to taste their beer. The menu is standard American pub food. I ordered the ultimate burger with their name attached. The food came quickly. The party was juicy and flavorful. Nice with bacon on top. Very happy with the food.

Steve B.

Yelp
Excellent Food Good Service Reasonable Prices. Fridays and Saturdays try the Blackened Salmon Chowder. One of a kind. The Best

Yelp
I always order the chicken pesto sandwich with garlic fries and it's so good! It's big portions too. I typically go around lunch time so I never have to wait too long to get seated. The workers are nice and the food is amazing! Beer is good too, I'll enjoy a few while eating.
google avatar

Darlene K.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant but the food was not good. The steak was tough , broccoli covered in a sauce that sat too long making it mushy and the salad was okay until you put the Italian dressing on it. I tried to eat it but just couldn't. Very disappointing. My stomach is paying for it. Not a good food experience.

Yelp
Great experience at Brewbakers. Everyone was happy with their meals - my wife had salmon, asparagus and a baked potato, I had steak, asparagus and a salad, my son had a kid's cheeseburger with fries and my daughter had the tri-tip chili nachos. Their IPA is on point. Service was excellent. The place was lively, but not loud. Sunday night football was on. Relaxing and totally enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Rebecca R.

Yelp
We love this place but unfortunately didn't have a good experience tonight. They took forever for our food and when it finally came my husband's pizza was way undercooked. So then he ordered a burger to replace it. That took another "forever" and we took it to go. He attempted to eat it when we got home, but that too was undercooked.
google avatar

Gregory M.

Yelp
I've been here two or three times since moving here earlier in the year. Service has always been good, good full bar, and the atmosphere feels very neighborhoody and small townish which we like.
google avatar

Linda R.

Yelp
After checking online and seeing that Brewbakers had stouts on draft, we decided to visit. It was in walking distance of our hotel which made it very convenient. It was a Friday night, and all the tables were full. Luckily, there were two last seats at the bar, and we were able to order food and eat there. After tasting a few other beers, I decided on the Blackout Stout. It was really good. It was nice sitting at the bar because we met so many nice people. The brewery was a cozy place, the beautiful Tiffany lamps added to the ambiance.

Yelp
Everything you expect from a great brewpub. Nice selection of craft beers and sodas. The menu has something for everyone, salads, burgers, soup, pizza, sandwiches and more. I have not anything here I didn't like. Great staff and fresh beer, don't miss this downtown hot spot!

Yelp
food was ok, service was not so good. u should try there burgrs are good server was rood

Yelp
It had a cool pub like feel! The service was great and the food was amazing. My son had the wings and loved them. I had the seared ahi...AMAZING!!

Yelp
Loved it here as well as the setting and seating. service was very fast and servers were very nice and friendly. even the busser i think his name was juan was very sweet and took our dishes away no problem. he deserves some kind of tip or raise. very friendly as well and recommended we get nachos next time. definitely coming back for those. Love this place and community!!

Yelp
Always a treat, service is on point. Food was quick to the table. Several beers to choose from. They are happy to get you a sample if you're questioning the beer taste. Server was on point with my beer selection. We went close to closing, staff was still attentive and welcomed us in. The inside was peaceful.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was "eh"... and by that I mean... nothing worth coming back for. The waitress was nice but we waited for 50 minutes to be seated (with reservations), and another 1 hour +15 minutes for our food. I think they forgot we were waiting to be seated and I had to go back in and look for someone to let them know we're still waiting for a table. There were approximately 9 of us in all. We've had this experience the first time we went (same group of friends) and opted to give this place a second chance... Needless to say, we will not be returning here again.
google avatar

T H.

Yelp
I had fish and chips, two piece. One piece was rubbery and I could not bit through it. It pulled out of the batter on both sides. The second piece was okay and fries were good. I was disappointed overall.
google avatar

Tony D.

Yelp
You ever wake up in morning and think to your self "today will be a good day"? Yea me either. So when I feel like that I remember Brewbakers puts everything in order in the universe. I order the blackened kettle Chips, YUM. Then I order a fresh af beer. YUM YUM. Then I order a BORGAR WITH BACON AND CHEESE YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM. then I go home and feel sad again because I existo in this shitso. SO I GO BACK TO BREWBAKERS AGAIN!! 20 years I've been on this cycle !!! YUMMMMMMM BOIIIIIIII

Yelp
These guys and gals have a great place to enjoy great food and amazing beers and drinks! They are so warm and friendly to all who come in! They also help out the community with beer fests and events! You have to go here if you want a beer and drink and great food! 5 stars for sure! Claude and Peggy G. The atmosphere here is so chill!

Yelp
Was in Visalia with my daughter for a film festival and decided to stop here to grab some dinner before heading home. There didn't seem to be a lot of tables in there, so I'm glad we were able to be sat pretty quickly for a Friday night. Some of the staff seemed friendly, but others seemed like they couldn't wait to get off work We ordered the pretzel with cheese sauce as an appetizer. The pretzel came out piping hot, which was nice, and the cheese sauce was definitely made from scratch. It was delicious! They gave us so much I was tempted to ask for a plate of fries to finish it. For dinner, we each ordered a pizza. My daughter ordered the BBQ chicken pizza. She said it was really good. I ordered the Brewbaker pizza, which came with chicken, mushrooms and pepperoni. I added bacon and olives. They weren't stingy with the toppings and the dough was pretty fresh. My only complaint is we each ordered the hand crafted Orange Cream soda. It didn't have much flavor and was kind of flat. Our server was nice but didn't really check in other than to take our order or drop off food The food would definitely bring me back if I find myself in downtown Visalia again
google avatar

Chris P.

Yelp
I love Brewbakers. Not only do they have really good beers on tap, they also have crafted sodas they make! Come get a taste of any and take a growler home too! In between beers, have some excellent food too. The pizzas are good, burgers are too, but keep an eye out for the daily specials. Something new all the time. Always a pasta, soup, sandwiches and burgers changing daily. The blackened salmon chowder on Fridays is my fave. Really good fish and chips, and you can go with fries, garlic fries, potato wedges or onion rings as your side for any meal. The place is small, always busy, but they move fast. It's a small bar downstairs with some booths next to it, and a dining room upstairs. Even though they get busy it never seems too loud. You can always have a conversation here. Servers are friendly, beer is great, it's a good place to hangout and get a bite too!

Yelp
Out daughter was in town and just turned 21 so we wanted a burger and brews. We walked in and weren't greeted. We wanted to eat on the balcony so we made our way up the stairs. The hostess was less than friendly. We seated ourselves outside. Our server was very nice she offered recommendations and was attentive. Our food was just ok. We started with the spicy chicken bite appetizer on special, they were really good. My daughter ordered the pizza burger which she thought was gross. I got the bbq burger, the pattie tasted frozen. My husband got the fish and chips which he liked very much. We got the drink sampler which was fun. The beers however were not very cold. Overall it was a good lunch- Pricey- We all agreed though, that the french fries and house made sauces are ALL delicious!
google avatar

Jack S.

Yelp
I had the Bleu Burger and Fries, really well prepared and plenty for one portion. The ranch is house made and was a great side for the fries. I'm not a beer guy but seemed lots of folks were enjoying the seasonal beverages. I would definitely go back for another meal. Service was very attentive and ambiance is definitely brewpub.
google avatar

Ashley L.

Yelp
The place has great vibes! I'm a big fan of amber ales and they have a really nice one! We ordered the burgers and while they were great, it was way too big. I left there needing to role out but overall good service and burgers.
google avatar

Gina A.

Yelp
I love the fish and chips I haven't been there in a year or so because I live in Ivanhoe and I don't drive if I don't need to but I can say this when I decide to eat out and if it's fish and chips that I want then this is where I would go Definitely Worth It

Yelp
Brewbakers Brewing Company (Visalia, CA) June 18, 2023 Brewbakers Brewing Company sits in the heart of Downtown Visalia. We came in on Fathers Day after about a 4 hour drive from Barstow. It was packed when we arrived at about 1:30 PM. It sounded like there would be about a 15 minute wait, so we grabbed a couple chairs at the bar. Our bartender was attentive and got us menus and took our drink orders quickly. I ordered the tri-tip salad with blue cheese dressing, and my wife ordered the vegetable salad with blue cheese dressing. I got a West Coast IPA and my wife got a glass of Chardonnay. I tried my wife's Chardonnay. It was pretty good, and my West Coast IPA was reasonable. It was a little less hoppy than I prefer, but it definitely passed as a West Coast IPA style. The food came out pretty quickly. However, they delivered a Cobb salad to my wife instead of the vegetable salad. The server took it back and they restarted my wife's salad. A new bartender showed up right about that time and asked how things were going. We explained to her the situation. She immediately headed back to the kitchen and the next thing we knew she showed up with my wife's salad. That made me feel good. Five stars to her!! Both salads were very good, and very large. They were actually more than that either of us could eat, so we got to-go containers and took them home with us. This is actually a pretty good size brewery, with both upstairs and downstairs seating. I like the vibe. They have their brew kettles directly behind the bar, so that really gives it an "I'm in the Brewery" kind of feeling. The staff are friendly and the service was good. Their beer selections are fairly limited. They only had about six beers on tap, including a blonde logger, sequoia red, West Coast IPA, a barley wine, apple beer, and Belgian apricot. They had a few other alcoholic drink selections as well. They also do handcrafted root beer, orange soda, and blue raspberry soda. I'll definitely come back if I'm in town again.

Yelp
Request Jade to be your server!! She's awesome!! Super friendly and attentive. The food was also incredible!! We came here two nights in a row!! Atmosphere and vibes are casual and relaxed. Definitely the highlight of Visalia in my opinion.
google avatar

Joann C.

Yelp
I have been here many times over the years. My husband wanted to get a sandwich. He ordered the Reuben with garlic fries and I had the Dirty Hippie with coleslaw. We shared our sandwiches and sides. My half of my sandwich was stacked with yummy ingredients and my coleslaw was great. I thought the Reuben was yummy but my husband thought it tasted weird. The big disappointment was the garlic fries. There was no garlic!!! They weren't fresh!!! What happened? You should always make sure your French fries are impeccable!!! People really look forward to their fries. Our servers were attentive. Good job. We had orange cream soda and root beer to drink. They were flat.

Brenda H.

Yelp
Their Dirty Hippie sandwich is delicious! I also really enjoyed the bbq kettle chips as an appetizer. Very friendly and pleasant atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back
google avatar

John L.

Yelp
Genuinely enjoyed everything we ordered here! The service was attentive and the beers were great too. We ordered the Pastrami special sandwich (came with garlic fries), BBQ wings, chili with cheese/onions. Everything was cooked perfectly -- the pastrami was juicy, the wing batter was crispy, and the chili had a nice kick to it with tender meat. The brass monkey beers were really refreshing and tasty. Would definitely visit again.

Yelp
Good food and brew. Pesto fettuccine, salad, California pizza, Cab and a flight. Yum.
google avatar

Lisa W.

Yelp
Visiting the area and wanted a place with good reviews and a chill vibe after a long day in the sun. This place did not disappoint. Super chill vibe, greeted and seated right away in a comfy booth. Light chatter at the bar and a baseball game on the tv in the background which is all part of the charm. Good service, tasty brew (I had the blonde lager) , and good food made as requested. We ordered a personal pizza and the ultimate burger. We will come back the next time we are in town.
google avatar

Yesenia Essie M.

Yelp
The food was amazing. We started off with onion rings, and I had the melted turkey and swiss sandwich on sourdough with the blackened salmon soup. My husband had the ultimate hamburger and added avocado with potato wedges . Unfortunately, we didn't take any pictures . But I highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back soon!
google avatar

Yiuing P.

Yelp
Really excellent food and service. They hand make the appetizers- The pretzel was handmade soft and doughy, with homemade cheese sauce. Very impressive. 8/5 $8 The buffalo beer wings were also impressive. 5/5 $7 We ordered the club with the wedges it was excellent. 5/5 $14.50 Tri-tip dinner $25 (3/5) was not worth the price, the meat was not tender (needs to be cooked slowly instead of fast grilled) however, the side of the twice baked potato was excellent and made the dish. Really appreciated the broccoli being a third of the dish, I actually love that but the broccoli was very salty in some parts. The server was very kind as well.

Yelp
Located in downtown Visalia. Street parking or a nearby parking garage available. Easily walkable to hotels , and other destinations.Greeted and seated fast. The tap beers are located on the board in front of the bar. It's a very chill vibe ; a lot of people just relaxing having a beer and watching the sports game on the tv's. We ordered the pretzel with jalapeño queso. Umm delicious; with a nice kick. Real pieces of jalapeño in the cheese that added that extra fire. Loved it. We also ordered beer battered chicken strips ; these were tender; golden brown and nice and hot . Straight outta the fryer. These are served with whatever sauces you would like bbq, ranch, honey mustard, etc. This is a great hangout spot if your passing through or in the Visalia area!

Yelp
Today's visit wasn't the best. Every time I'm in town, I order the Katelyn Salad. Today was no different except this time I tried the Italian cake. I ordered the tri-tip medium rare every time. Today, it was well burnt on a lot of the pieces. I told the waitress about it, she said, "I'll let the kitchen know". Lastly, I ordered the lemon cake. She told me it was the last piece. Well, it definitely was. It was a very expensive tiny piece of cake. Overall, I love this restaurant. Everyone is allowed to have a bad night. I'll keep coming here when I'm in town.
google avatar

Bethany B.

Yelp
Ordered the Ruben and club both with garlic fries. Both were amazing! Will definitely be back soon! The beer is all good too!
google avatar

Lynn C.

Yelp
It was not my cup of tea, reason I ordered Buffalo wings and they were not cooked all the way and that Scared me my Dad almost died from that he had salmonella and he was deathly ill. We barely got him to the hospital, and they had to do emergency surgery on him so raw wings and chicken scares me second chicken strips were good. They were beer, battered, and I got garlic fries, but it had hardly any garlic on it whatsoeverbarbecue sauce, though is amazing and they're blonde pill. L is really good even though only got a little one I bought the sampler plate and it was not me either. I drank the blonde only and two of the sodas again this is just my opinion.

Yelp
I wrote to the restaurant about this but it was ignored, so here I am... I was in recently (12/31/23) with my family. We had 3 young children with us. When ordering drinks we asked if lemonade was available for them. The server brought 3 small cups with lids for them. When we paid we discovered that we were charged $5 ea for the kids drinks, beyond the kids meal price. I brought it up to the server when I paid, not asking for a discount , just saying for future reference mayne a person should be told the kids drink is am extra $5 charge. She then said my dad grows the lemons, they're local. I explained I understand it was likely a specialty drink but a heads up that it was extra, especially $5 each would have been good. Especially since 2 of the 3 kids didn't even drink theirs. We absolutely would have not order them. The server was polite about it but dismissed me really. This experience stuck with me so I felt like I had to say something. In all honesty between that, how long everything took, and the quality of our sandwiches I can't imagine I will be back, at least not for a long time.

Brittany A.

Yelp
I got the Tri-tip meal and blonde lager. The meal was so amazing!! It wasn't your typical bar food this was like sitting down at a restaurant and their beer was awesome too. Check this place out if you are nearby! You can't go wrong.

Yelp
We love Brewbakers for its array of craft beers selection, menu, and great service. Always our date night go to place.
