BrewDog Roppongi

First time visiting this bar in Roppongi. The inner décor reminds of a bar in the US with counter seats and booths at the front and tables in the back. The menu is mainly in English with Japanese descriptions. You can select from a wide range of craft beers that are available in S/L/Pint sizes. They also have a pretty good food menu with daily specials that are really great. With some slightly old western pop songs playing in the background, perfect place if you want to drink alone or with friends! Spacey and very welcoming even for a first timer! I went to this place with friends on a Friday night and made a reservation through AutoReserve. The staff speak English really well. They have a great selection of craft beers and food. We got three pizzas, and they were super tasty! The craft beer was awesome too. The restaurant is pretty big, amazing atmosphere, and the bathrooms are clean, though you have to go upstairs for them. The prices are very reasonable. I’ll definitely visit again when I'm around there. If you love craft beer, you should totally check this place out! 🍻

Had a great night out here. The food was good, even if the servings were on the small side (but, hey - it is Japan!). The service was friendly and efficient — we got some good beer recommendations from the bar staff 😀 After a few beers, we met a couple of friendly Americans and had a good old chat. So, a “tick” for good atmosphere and friendly patrons. It is a Western style bar with western style food and craft beer. The disconcertingly named “Elvis Juice” was the pick of the tasting paddle. Although we enjoyed our beers in moderation, I did wonder how people who might of had “a few too many” get back alive from the bathroom, which is at the top of a long, narrow flight of stairs on the second floor 😂

I found it a good place to spend some time with friends. Was in Tokyo for work and stayed in Roppongi area, so this store is in Roppongi. There are options in drinks including Wine. No smoking area near by, so you'll have to walk long for smoking. Food options are there from Pizzas, Fish and Chips to fries and more. Overall a good place, Recommended.

Pales in comparison to beloved UK counterparts unfortunately. The beer is just as good but a premium price (double the UK) and the food is absolutely rubbish as well as expensive. A four slice teriyaki pizza was 1,550 and so salty I couldn’t finish it. The jalapeño poppers were at least decently spicy. 65,000 for 2 beers (S and L sized), a small pizza, a half fish and chips and the poppers. Outrageous. Not worth the trip, you can go to a boujee Japanese beer kitchen for less.

American style brewpub here offering beer flights and some cocktail specials. The server we had was extremely cool and awesome to talk to as well. The beer was also pretty good.

Overall was a pretty good experience. Really enjoyed the lamb pizza. Beers were as expected and prices in line with the area.

Staff super friendly and attentive, great selection of drinks (doing great stuff with other brewery collaborations). Great food awesome vibes! Def check it out

A fantastic European-style bar/pub in the Roppongi party district of Tokyo. Over twenty beers on draft and another 50 beers in bottles/cans. One of the best bar food menus in Tokyo! Great place to kick off a night of partying in Roppongi!

I have been to multiple BrewDog locations and this one is my least favorite. Overcrowded and not much customer service with the bar staff. Wanted to know which beers were current on their tap list and was thrown a menu with not much help. Unfortunate. The food was decent American/UK Pub fare and up to par. Met some interesting local Japanese students and ended up going to the next bar with them in Roppongi Hills. I would come back here again for their beer but next time closer to their opening time or during the week. Too noisy and loud to hold a conversation late night!

Atmosphere seems pretty cool, the food is just unhealthy finger food, but it is a bar that caters to Americans & internationals alike. I briefly glanced at the menu looked like they had a good selection, some German beers on tap as well as some IPA's. My main gripe was the young blonde bartender. I came in sat down for 3-5 mins getting acclimated and sent off a few texts to update my friends where I was. I decided to go to the restroom which was upstairs a little bit of a trip. Took maybe another 5-7 mins. I come down back to my seat where I left my phone, had already glanced at the menu not knowing what I wanted yet. The young blond bartender looks to the hostess with the nose ring and whispers "He's Just sitting there". I am immediately offended and couldn't help but feel rushed. Not that it matters but I just dropped 3,000$ USD in shopping, rushing me was not the best plan of action. I'll gladly take my business elsewhere. This is JAPAN, hospitality is huge here and no matter the bar, bartenders like that ruin the experience for everyone. Save yourself a trip there's much better bars then this one in Roppongi.

Brew Dog is an interesting chain. They kinda look the same but they are different. This one had a pretty big selection of beer on draft, that was nice. We arrived right around opening a little after five so not much business then. Still, the service was a little slow, although we did get all we asked for. We did not eat, only drinking, and that was fine.

The service is great, and the servers speak a English if you want to ask any questions about beer recommendations . If you like Nintendo, they have a mini console corner for N64! The place is well-known globally, and is very much worth visiting. The beers come in small, medium, and large selections. It's pretty casual and laid back. It's in the Roppongi district, and can be a bit hard to miss. The bar is pretty lively sometimes from the last time I came, or pretty chill like it is now. Check it out!

Came here for a drink on a Sunday night and had high hopes. I have seen these guys on tv and really wanted to like everything about it. Unfortunately the punk ipa was just average. It was slightly bland and definitely now depth or complexity to it. Also, service was kinda lacking. I felt like we were inconveniencing them by being there. This is the exact opposite of all the other places I have been in Tokyo.

I've been to the one in Edinburgh so it was funny to find another one so far away. The beers are pretty solid and they have many to chose from. I had the Elvis, which was a grapefruit IPA and was very good. Free WIFI that was very fast was used to check in for our flights out of Japan. The prices are pretty high, like 800 yen and up for a regular pint. More for their larger glasses. Very Western, obviously, with American music playing overhead. As the time went by, many people came into bar and was good atmosphere.

I am a big Brewdog fan. I know they are mass market now and sort of losing their "craft" reputation, but they still are different from the rest and do a great product so I am still pro punk. When in Tokyo we decided to hunt out their bar to compare it to our Local Glasgow one. I have to say they have done a good job of getting there theme and message to their Tokyo location. I defo felt like I was in Brewdog location. All the brewdog beers were there and so were plenty of guest beers. There was the wooden tables, stone walls and even a Scottish barmaid. I had a pint of punk which being tasted a bit "off" (not sure why TBH) so was slightly disappointing. On the food front I had a burger which was lovely with chips on the side. Well not chips, 5 fat wedges, which were rubbish. So on eating and drinking side I was not blown away. Bar location is in Roppogni which is not my favourite area. It's the only area in Tokyo which I felt seemed dodgy in any way. Brewdog is five stars for me, but my experience at this location on the occasion I went was only 3 stars I'm afraid.

I love this place! There were several options but I come here specifically for one...Hardcore IPA. Nice atmosphere. The bartenders were super! And they have board games! FUN!!!

Another great craft beer spot in Roppongi! This was my 2nd stop out of 4 pubs in our unofficial Daytime craft beer crawl in Roppongi. After having an IPA at the Hobgoblin, we "Yelped" craft beer and found this place. Two Dogs was closer but wasn't open. BrewDog is a nice 5 mins away from Roppongi Hibiya line station. Also a stone throw away from the Hard Rock Cafe. A nice beer drinking environment. Decent sized dinning/drinking area. The high tables & bar stool area seats 18. Good for groups. The dinning area another 24. Music not too loud. A good mix of locals and foreigners here. Our server, from Scotland, knew the beers on tap and was very helpful. The beer: I enjoyed the IPA is dead Kohatu. A great tasting IPA but with a sweet tasting note towards the end. The price... We're in Roppongi so be prepared to spend a pretty penny or ¥1,400. If the beer is great, buy it. That was the case. My friends enjoyed their Libertine Black Ale and Punk IPA as well. Bookmarked and will be back for more!

Brew Dog is a great craft beer place located on the back streets of Roppongi, about a 1 min walk from Hard Rock Cafe. Pretty sweet atmosphere and heard that the beer is great. Fish & Chips were alright, but had tons of volume. Wasn't too crowded on a Sunday night.

So we heard about this place from a random couple we met at Golden Gai. They told us we had to try this place out - and we so happened to stumble upon this place when our portable wifi died. They have games, beer, and free wifi! Our waitress was nice enough to charge our wifi for us. Their IPAs are I strongly recommend to get the Elvis juice (grapefruit infused IPA) or the jack Hammer (ipa). We also tried some of their appetizers and it's not bad at all! Great place to hang out and chill :)

Nice break when you've had enough sushi for a while and you want something closer to home. Gin and tonic rather than beer is my preference, and the Japanese G&T with Ki No Bi Kyoto gin was terrific. Loved the fish and chips. Barstools are a bit low, and the bar doesn't overhang, so no real place for ones knees are my only (minor) gripes-- almost not worth mentioning given that the rest of it is spot on.

Nice atmosphere. Enjoyed the cinema (movie theater) seating. I tried all of the Brewdog beers they had on tap this evening and enjoyed all of them. The Jet Black Nitro was amazing. The food was excellent and I really enjoyed bangers and mash! Definitely worth a visit. I'll search out other Brewdog bars at home!

Had a great time here and we just stumbled upon it. This is the local outpost of the Scottish brewery from Edinburgh. Knowing that I loved my experience in Scotland, this was a no brainer. We walked in at 17:00, which is opening time. The staff was immediately welcoming and helpful. We tried several tastes before deciding on our first round. The Rye IPA that I chose was exactly what I was craving and my friend had a saison that was also delicious. My second round had me at the mango, habanero IPA. It has a beautiful mango nose, hip presence and a back end habanero "burn" that it pleasant, but not for everyone. Trust me if you get a sample, it's worth getting through a full glass to really appreciate its complexity. Go small, get a larger if you think this is the. Beer for you. We bought a collector's pint glass to add to our stockpile from around the world...always a shaker pint. Prices are reasonable and the staff is beer knowledgeable, another plus. Yes, stop here for good beer.

I'm so jealous that both Stockholm and Tokyo have a BrewDog! I love their beer and get it anywhere I can find it in SF. Unfortunately, we only have a few varieties here. At the pub in Tokyo, you'll have plenty to choose from and can easily spend a lot of time and money there. But you'll do so happily. Also, both bartenders were super nice and knew a lot of English. The latter isn't a requisite of mine by any means but it's nice once in a while to be able to have more of a conversation.

Incredibly expensive craft beers, though quite a large selection. The food was nothing special. I've been to three other of this chain in various countries and had a good experience. This location I cannot recommend. You can go down the street to Ants and Bees and get craft brews for half the price.

As big fans of the Brew Dogs TV show we had to stop in. Great bar, definitely a very Western vibe, but a mixed clientele. To be completely honest Brew Dogs don't make my favourite beers, but their guest taps are good, the soundtrack is fab and they have a selection of board games and a Nintendo 64 to keep you busy. Plus crunchy, fresh house made pickles.

Stopped in here for beers before grabbing dinner at another spot nearby. They have plenty of seating, pretty good beer selection, and the staff was friendly. Literally everyone else in the place was eating, so I assume the food must be pretty good.

had a drink with English and American friends here. tried many different types of brew dog original, Pumpkin King (5.4%, spiced ale) 5 AM Saint (5.0%, Red Ale) Jack Hammer (7.2%, IPA) Electric India (5.2%, Hoppy Saison) Hardcore IPA (9.2%, Imperial IPA) never tried Hoppy Saison before but this slight orange flavor and spicy herbs mixture made me smile soon after air comes out from my nose even after had 5 large glass of beer. You can upgrade to Pint (658ml) size to pay extra 350 Yen from Large size. But Large made me try many kinds of beers. Food also good, some Asian mixture plate and Ram kebab and of course, fish and chips were great.

BrewDog was a bit of a guilty pleasure for me. I felt it was the most western place we went to while in Tokyo and I almost feel a little bit bad for loving it as much as I did. BrewDog has a nice variety of beer, which was a breath of fresh air for me. We didn't go out to many bars while I was visiting, but I was disappointed with Kirin, Sapporo, and Asahi being my only choices at every restaurant we went to. Don't get me wrong, I actually enjoy all three of those Japanese beers quite a bit, but sometimes you want to mix it up, you know? I had a "This. Is. Lager" and a Hardcore IPA and some fish and chips. It was all excellent. I didn't love the Hardcore IPA as much as the lager, which is consistent with my normal preferences, but it was still enjoyable. The fish and chips were of exceptional presentation and quality. The fish was flaky and soft, and the chips (potato wedges) were seasoned perfectly. Also, they supply some mixed nuts in the style of British pubs at each table, which I thought was a nice addition to the experience. Extra points for our "hafu" waitress, who was attentive, friendly, and helpful.

Brew dog! We made it a must on our list as my boyfriend and I are both big fans. The place has all the usual Brew Dog beers on tap, plus some of the special ones (as well as the really strong ones...like Tactical Nuclear Penguin). Food items are mostly standard pub fare and bar food. Everyone speaks English, and there's loads of foreigner customers (including us). It can be a bit pricey, but it's good stuff!

Love this craft beer pub in Roppongi! Fantastic selection of beers at a reasonable price. The food here is very good too - actual authentic pub grub (think bangers and mash, fish and chips, etc). Very rare to find such a large pub too in Tokyo, with plenty of seating. Definitely recommended!

Cool craft beer place run by some ex-pats. In all my travels all around Japan, this place had the only good IPA I ever came across. Friendly staff and a spacious interior. If you're looking for a place to find a good beer and some good bar food, this is it.

Has a good selection of their own beers and guest beers. They have wine and liquor too if people in your group don't drink beer. Good selection of bar food. English speaking waiters. Had a great time here!

there are lots of craft beer spots in tokyo now and it's hard to stand out. this place does - the beers here have a pleasantly unique taste (many of the US craft beers taste similar to me...) and the vibe is pretty mellow/ friendly/ cool as well. the Punk IPA is the clear flagship beer, but there's a number of other solid brews here as well (fake lager, white IPA, etc.)

Its just ok. The tell me their most popular beer is the Punk IPA. I tried it and was underwhelmed. So I also tried a few others -meh. I mean, if you've been living on Japanese pilsners for a while the Brew Dog IPAs will at least give you a bit of variety, but there's better beer to be had. I also had the burger - again, for the price you can find better burgers in the area. Especially for 1200 yen. this place can also be super loud, to the point where conversations are tough.

After walking the streets of Roppongi and avoiding the aggressive Africans, we landed at Brew Dog...a welcoming Western style bar. We enjoyed trying a wide selection of beers and didn't mind paying a little higher price for the experience. Try the Libertine Black Ale and the Roppongi Pilot 01...solid options.

This is a very nice atmosphere. Staff is Great! If you claim to be a craft beer drinker then you haven't tried Brew Dog..! Because it seriously requires an acquired taste. But stroll by and have a round you'll still be happy you did.

In a Disneyland-like bar environment, brewdog exclusively serves washed up ethylene proof hop bombs of yesteryear. The attempt of coolness is lost abortive flavors of their swill.
