Tired Hands Biergarten Review - Fishtown - Philadelphia - The Infatuation

"A bunch of restaurants and bars in the city carry Tired Hands beer, but they usually only have one or two types, and if you want the full list, you have to travel 30 minutes deep into the suburbs. Fortunately, they opened a seasonal space in Fishtown, where they’re selling their whole repertoire in what used to be an abandoned lot. Now, it’s filled with picnic tables and tree stumps that double as stools, and it’s where you want to be until the temperature drops below 50." - Sydney McElwee

A tiny but nice little brewery that is nice when you want to grab a drink in the good weather. We ended up getting a hazy and it was pretty decent and was nice to have on a hot day. The staff was pretty friendly and the outdoor seating was nice for everyone that had dogs too. They ended up having a food truck pull up which is nice to have at any brewery. With our luck the generator for it was right next to us though so we left pretty quickly after that. Still nice to have and if we wanted to stay we could have found quieter spots. It seems like they are doing well for the tiny amount of space they have. On a nice day it seems like a great spot for a beer.

Great little brewery in the heart of Fishtown! This was our third stop of a self-guided brewery tour of Fishtown, and definitely the favorite. I had a flight with the Still Near and Dead DIPA, Building Big table beer, Woolen Jumper Mild ale, and Waynes Pale Ale. The Still Near and Dear was by far my favorite- simply a top notch Imperial IPA. ARS had a great range of styles for such a cozy place. Do not miss ARS if you are in Philly. You will not be disappointed.

Tried out the latest Brewery ARS location on a warm Saturday and had a great time! The inside is well decorated with a fun atmosphere. The beer options were varied, and each option we tried was delicious. Prices were fair as well. I recommend a visit!

Went opening day and despite being pretty packed they had ample staff and we got beers very easily! They have flights and a rotating draft list, cans to go, a limited on site menu but they seem to partner with food trucks frequently. Follow their IG for more info. So happy to have another great place for local freshies 🍻

Low key brewery space (Fishtown), friendly bartender, flavorful beers, and retro new wave/punk music (at least when we were there). Nice range of IPAs/Pales.

I went to Brewery ARS during my trip to Philly and their place is just as good as the one in Passyunk. Great vibes, great beers, and a good time. Great for the neighborhood. You either stay and have one or take it to go. Cheers!

Yelp
been to both locations and both are a vibe. Great place for a solo or group drinks and the people are always nice. Food is bring your own and I know in South Philly they usually have food trucks right up front.

Yelp
Small, hip taproom that has beer, wine and canned cocktails. For my first visit I stuck to their beers. We thoroughly enjoyed the beer, and the atmosphere was cool. It was too cold that day, but they seem to have an outdoor area that is probably fun when the weather is nice. Staff were friendly. I felt really comfortable here and wish I lived closer so I could make it my regular taproom. I'll be back to sample more flights.

Yelp
Great service, environment, and beer. They also allow outside food, which pairs perfectly with the beer menu.

Yelp
I am a huge fan of Brewery ARS in South Philly and was excited to hear they opened a taproom in Fishtown. The space is small but cozy and they really maximize seating options in the space. There are a few light food options (Fishtown pickles, snacks and hot dogs I believe) - but the beer is really the star at ARS. Every time you come to ARS you can expect to find some different, delicious options. They really excel in IPAs (the Monumental Awakening is a more recent one that's quite good, though Penny Candy is my all time favorite). However, Wayne's pale ale and their Vienna lager are also solid choices. Although the West Passyunk location will always be my favorite (it's close to home), I'll happily visit this spot when I'm in Fishtown.

Yelp
I'm a big fan of this chill little tap room because they have both Pilsner and Kölsch on draft, that's a great find, plus yummy stuff like oatmeal stout and English pub ale. Plenty of tables on the sidewalk so you can drink outside in fine weather. Make your own flight! Four ounce pour is $3, 8oz is $5, pints are $7.
