Brewery Restaurant Plevna

Very pleased with the entire experience and place. I can see that this is a place for community in the area and many people come here for the beers and atmosphere. Location is also a perfect meet up place for locals. The food is outstanding; the sausages and seasonings on the dishes were up to par. We had some house baked chocolate cake for dessert and tried the beer tasting. The beers were excellent and there was enough beer types to meet the taste buds of each individual. My personal favourite was the stout and the honey infused mead. The decor is very traditional Bavarian style and the collection of 1500 beer glasses is impressive. All facilities and the brewery inside the restaurant are great and well maintained. Great location for a family brunch, a meet up with friends or perhaps a bigger group for a special event. I would highly recommend visiting.

It gets quite busy. We were there around 5.30 -6pm with reservations. We arrived slightly late, and our table was already given away. To note that even if you communicate your delay, the team may not have the time to see/ update the reservations. So be prepared to wait. Nevertheless, after a bit of waiting at the bar, the team was able to find us a table at the heated verandah area - works out well for us as we much preferred this brighter space. Excellent selection of beer. Food is heavy and rich - so you may not want to dine here if you are looking for a light dinner. Or perhaps consider the smaller serving size - cause the serving size is quite generous for food that's rather filling and rich. For reference - the stir fry in our picture is a small (recommended by the serving staff to take small - thank you very much!) and the goulash was a large serving - a rather hearty, heavy version of goulash. Food came after a decent amount of weight for a large restaurant - around 20-25 minutes. And they make sure you have your drinks early for while you wait.

Incredible place to eat typical Finnish food! It has its charm and is an incredible place, just like the food! The waitress who served us was so friendly and helpful, speaking English! I recommend it 100%! They have lactose free and gluten free meals!

The best Finnish beer! And the best place to taste Finnish traditional food! Update ❤️ So many times have been visited this place… can say 100% all my international and Finnish guests in Tampere are visiting Plevna and everyone are happy about service and food ❤️ love forever Upd! The waiter Sofia is very very very nice, so friendly, knowing her job well, fast, smart even it was a busy evening, smiley and beautiful🥰 I think she deserve some bonus to her paycheck for sure. Upd!2 We had a great experience here! Our waiter Rudolf was very polite and friendly. He spoke with us in Russian, which was a lovely surprise, and explained all the dishes and drinks in detail. Excellent service and a warm atmosphere — thank you!

We came to Plevna Brewery for dinner and it was excellent! We had the Sausage pan, Plevna’s stir-fry, and tried a black pudding sausage as a side. Everything was so good! We definitely recommend the sausage pan. The sauerkraut and potatoes that came with it were amazing. We also got two of the beer flights, so we were able to try ten different beers, and wow! We liked almost all of them! Our favorites were the Wiezenbock, the Tahti Lager, and Tumma. Overall, this was a great experience in Tampere and we highly recommend coming!

Great traditional food, affordable and nice sized portions💪

A fantastic place to sample local beers and taste exquisite cuisine. The brewery has been highly acclaimed and I wasn't disappointed. The servers wear German dresses which adds to the unique experience.

On Saturday afternoon: Very slow service, took almost an hour to get the main course. Local draft beer's not surprising, salmon soup ok but their curry wurst was just awful. Mediocre ingredients spoiled by a single flavor dominated overwhelming sauce that leaves a bad after taste. No points for the service, poor value for the money. The positive sides include an allergy considerate menu and great portions. Best avoided.

Good place for a very late meal. We visited at midnight and ordered chicken sandwiches. They were served with a fresh salad - very tasty combo! The service was quick.

For some reason, considered by many as a must visit place in Tampere. Quite often, when a conference or similar event is held in Tampere, the attendees are brought to Plevna for the official dinner. I would not do that if I was organizing. The place itself is OK (made in the style of a Czech / German brewery house), but you pay restaurant prices for food of quality not much better than in a "grillikioski". Sausages, creamy heavy potatoes.. All beers are locally brewed and in a wide selection. But this also means that all the choices given are only Finnish beers which are all rather flat and with that one specific aftertaste (I still do not know what creates it), which I am not a fan of.

I had heard so much about this place - and it was already hyped up to the max for me. Thus I feared the place would be a let down. But, the induced food coma, and tons of fantastic memories from the place tell a different tale. Food - Fantastic! a bit on the heavy side.. but if everything you(me) order is essentially made only up of meat and gravy - I can expect nothing else. Drinks - Excellent variety and quantity. Ohh the taste ... I miss it so much!! They also describe their drinks very well, and the servers are knowledgeable about them too. Loud fun place for work friends or a party! Excellent Decor - historic value. very nicely maintained! - 5 stars from me

Restaurants making their own beer is not that typical in Finland. But this is one of the place in Tampere that offers very nice German Brauerei like atmosphere to enjoy the evening with good food and own beer. I really liked their Weizen beer last time I visited there. As a small Quiz-tip, Finland's first electric lamp was taken in use in this building at 1882.
