"Brewnuts is part-bar, part-bakery, and somewhere you can go after dinner for a cold beer and Willy Wonka-esque donut. They have 16 local brews on tap to accompany whatever sweet treat catches your eye: flavors rotate, but glazed, sprinkles, and some type of fry cake are always on the menu. And they’re often celebrating some themed holiday, real or imagined—for National Margarita Day, there was a prickly pear margarita donut and frozen marg combo, and on St. Patrick’s Day, they did a Bailey’s-infused, cheesecake-filled donut and a boozy shamrock shake. They’re open until 11pm on weekends, and on some nights, it’s a semi-chaotic mix of families grabbing dessert and bar-hoppers making a snacky pitstop. " - kate bigam kaput

Amazing vibes, good donuts and fantastic coffee. The donuts are SUPER sweet!! So be warned, lol I usually can only eat 1/2 at a time! And the people who work there are very nice. They had Taylor Fest this weekend and I took my daughter, her bestie, and her bestie's mom and we enjoyed our time together, the food, and the atmosphere. 💐💖💗

Google
Brewnuts is what Cleveland is all about. Eclectic, accepting of all, and cool as hell. The donuts are soft, yeasty, and delicious. There are always multiple vegan options, and they're not an after thought. I can't recommend them enough

Google
The atmosphere alone is worth a visit! The donuts were delicious and the drink selection was cozy and unique. A great place to chill and hang with your friends or family!

Amber Dilley

Google
Super friendly owners who make delicious donuts and always have multiple great vegan options. They also do vegan paczkis for Fat Tuesday 💜

Google
The best donuts in town! Love that they do different theme donuts throughout the month. The Girl Scout and Malley’s collabs have been my favorite. My go to donut is the Strawberry Sprinkle, it’s so simple but they do it better than anyone else. They treat their customers well and makes everyone feel welcomed at Brewnuts. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and good beverages.

Google
The donuts are massive! They have so many good flavors and they rotate what they put out, so there's almost always something new to try. I haven't had anything else from here but the staff is always pleasant and the morning atmosphere is pretty chill vibes.

Oh my! Doughnuts similar to UK ones! They were amazing! The best doughnuts I have had in all trips to the US. I just wish I was around for the coconut doughnuts. I would be there daily! The money spent was so worth it! Friendly staff and great espresso too!

Google
Cold. Damn cold. Seven degrees with wind. The bike frame stiff, unforgiving. Pedaled to Brewnuts, bright and warm against Cleveland's gray. Neon signs. Beer taps gleaming. Young backpackers at the bar. Crazy. They speak of swimming Lake Erie. Thirty-five degrees. Warmer than the air. I sip coffee, watch them. No fear. Just motion. Just doing. The donut is super sweet. Rich. Hemingway would approve. Simple. Direct. No unnecessary words. Outside, Cleveland waits. Cold and hard as truth.

Yelp
Super friendly staff! The donuts rotate seasonally. It was my first time actually walking inside and it's very cute. A bunch of inclusive decor and a full bar inside.

Briana N.

Yelp
I was craving donuts so badly this evening and was so happy to find Brewnuts still open as most donut places other than Dunkin and Krispy Kreme were all closed. There's free street parking which made it super easy to quickly get in and grab some to go. But the atmosphere inside is really nice, maybe I would stay next time. I can see this being a really nice place to catch up with friends or play some games as they also serve drinks here (cafe and alcoholic). The donuts are huge and have a good chew to them. I like how they have some classic flavors but then also some less traditional ones. We tried the maple bacon donut. And it was good but I wish it leaned more into the savory. It was still mostly very sweet. The maple flavor was strong, and the only bacon flavor was from the actual bacon on top which didn't taste like much because there also wasn't that much bacon.

Yelp
Brewnuts is such a cool and fun donut spot! I'm glad I stopped there while I was in Cleveland! The donuts change weekly. When I went a couple weeks ago I got the pumpkin bread pudding and pecan shortbread donuts!! Highly recommend checking them out!

Jenna W.

Yelp
Fun and unique donut place that has donuts and beer to offer! Their menu has around 13 different flavors, all different and sound delicious. We ordered half a dozen, which they have a small discount for, giving us a chance to try a few flavors. My favorite was the caramel pretzel! It had a nice layer of caramel on top and then a bunch of fresh pretzels and a drizzle of chocolate. The donuts have a unique flavor because they're made with craft beer, cutting down on the sweetness. The atmosphere of the shop is casual and welcoming to all. There are a few tvs to watch sports like a local bar, with signs promoting watch parties too. The donuts are a bit more expensive than most, but given they're handmade, very filling, and uniquely constructed, it is worth it.

Nupur S.

Yelp
Very cool and hip spot! Love going there on Saturday morning to get some my favorite food! Love the area also! Very nice people! A+

Jaylin H.

Yelp
I was excited to try this place but was very disappointed not only with the food but also the service. The Donuts were pretty dry and lacked flavor. The service we received really turned us off. The interaction the group before and after us was completely different than ours & I hate to say it but we felt like it was race related. The person was very short and impatient with us & wanted nothing to do with us . Whereas the group before and after he was thrilled and enthusiastic to help . I will say the aesthetic of the restaurant is nice .

Brad M.

Yelp
Had to hit Brewnuts on our way home from the vacation. All that I wanted it to be. Got a dark coffee because I knew the donuts would hit that sweet tooth hard. The coffee was really good and can imagine it even better with milk. Person there that helped was kind and patient. Parked across the road and it was delicious all the way home for 6hrs.

Sara S.

Yelp
Great place to enjoy some good sized delicious donuts and catch a game of some formula one! Love going there!

Melissa M.

Yelp
Went in to grab a variety of donuts to try around 10am and they were out of a few choices. I grabbed 5 different donuts to try and some cold brew as well. Cold brew was smooth, delicious and did the trick. The inside of the store is so cute and I enjoy the welcoming environment, including the person that talked through choices and provided great service. The donuts are a mixed bag for us. I like a bit heavier donut so that was good for me. The key lime was very flavorful and I found myself taking little bites through the day after our sampling :) The Xmas Ale fry cake flavor was great but a little dry on the crumb. Either way, we enjoyed a lot about the store and donuts but they are bigger, more dense and I could not imagine eating an entire one myself :)

Amanda L.

Yelp
This place is very cute with a great tropical sweet vibe. It's half bar - half bakery. I went in early in the morning for donuts and came out a happy customer. It was fast and easy to order, there was plenty of open seating and the donuts were amazing. I loved the maple bacon donut the most. I took home half a dozen and they didn't disappoint. They are bigger in size than duck donuts or Dunkin'. The parking is easy and next time I'll need to get a drink to try! I highly recommend coming in for a visit.

Chris S.

Yelp
I love this place and would consider it to be a "must try" if you're stopping in the Gordon Square area. If the price of the donuts makes you uneasy, be aware that these are big, dense donuts. These aren't the dry little things you might get at a drive-thru somewhere, these are like a full dessert. The flavors change often and it will make you want to constantly come back because they're nearly all bangers. The fact that they also serve alcohol makes it a good spot to stop in for a bit to hang out with friends. That being said, while it does have a selection of beers and ciders available, the environment doesn't have a "bar" vibe which is a plus.

Aubrey L.

Yelp
Honestly this wasn't my favorite bakery as a donut lover but the actual shop is one of the cutest I've been in. Their bathrooms are so fun with different themes in each. walking in to this shop felt like walking into a vacation. It's so colorful and positive inside. I love the idea of beer and donuts and they had several vegan donuts. As a former vegan, I love that they have that option. I tried two vegan donuts and honestly they were a great texture, just extremely sweet for my liking. Even if you don't get donuts, it would be a fun stop to make just to hangout

Yaz A.

Yelp
I had another opportunity for visit Brewnuts earlier in the morning where the selections were vast. There was a long line so I knew there was something good to have. But the line went by fast. The vibes inside were on point as well. Once I got to the front if the line, the girl up front was helpful in telling us what the best sellers were. I opted for the Samoa donut and it did not disappoint. I'm not a huge donut person, but their donut was so big and fluffy. I appreciated that and will this has now become my new donut spot!

Kayla H.

Yelp
Pretty good! I LOVED the creative themed donuts and zang decor. It is very popular so it was quite crowded and not easy to find a seat for a group of 5. They had great deals for half and full dozens which also applies to the coffee. My favorite part personally. The workers were efficient and friendly. The only maybe negative thing I'd say which is really quite minor, but some of the donuts veer on the sickeningly sweet side. The simple glazed was far sweeter than all the donuts in this picture and two of them had white chocolate on them (the blue ones). This might not be a negative for some other people but we had a lower sweet tolerance.

Amy J.

Yelp
Pickle fritter was delicious with mildly sweet soft fried goodness and dill spice with a teeny bit of pickle found in one part of the large pastry. The Oreo pumpkin donut had great donut volume and good frosting although always too sweet for me. They always have new eccentric flavors to try.

Saphace A.

Yelp
When we came late afternoon, they didn't have a lot left. Just a vegan donut with chocolate icing and the red velvet. The vegan one had the texture of a Hawaiian roll. Definitely different! But I think they put beer in the batter so it prob does change the texture and flavor somewhat. Not bad though! The space seems cool to hang out in. Definitely wouldn't mind returning! The guy at the counter was super nice and made conversation with us. Parking around here is tricky. There are parallel parking spots and small parking lots.

Lisa C.

Yelp
Good quality ingredients go into these donuts which I could taste. Easy to tell that these donuts were freshly made. Very unique flavor creations are available here. Bought six different donuts so we could taste various flavors. Glazed was my favorite! The one with the chocolate cream was really good too. These donuts are best eaten the day you buy them. The size of each donut is good for the cost. Also tried an iced latte. Very good and a great compliment to the donuts. Great customer service here as well.

Josie G.

Yelp
Very cute inside with lots of fun signs hanging up. We did not wait in line very long ( especially for a Sunday morning)! Donuts were very instagram worthy but we didnt really enjoy any of the flavors we had gotten.

Paige S.

Yelp
Super cute place, cute staff, cute & yummy donuts. First of all the curb appeal is killer. The bright blue door & pink rolling pin handle is just great. The whole block is pretty fun & cozy. Inside is very spacious. They have some bold decor which I love. Seating is a little unique but it works. They had some really good flavors. It was hard to pick just one. I went with the Cassata cake donut & my bf got the Spumoni donut. They're really big & dense donuts. Both really tasty. The cassata cake had a more subtle sweetness that I like. The spumoni was super sweet. A little much for me but he said it's the best donut he's ever had so take that! This is a really cool place. Drinks & donuts! LGBTQIA friendly as well. They've got it going on.

J.K. G.

Yelp
The donuts here were a huge disappointment today. I'm shocked with all the good reviews, but they got me to make the drive and try them. The donuts are pleasant to look at (cute decor and big), but they lack flavor. We tried multiple flavors and all were dry and not tasty. They were what I would expect a vending machine donut to taste like, not a "fresh" donut from a place where donuts are the main attraction, and cost $4.00 per nut! Such a bummer.

Aiden L.

Yelp
The food was good. The donuts are heavy, so drink some beer with it. If you have a chance, the service was really fast. They make the donuts almost fresh. Every day in the service was really nice and I'll be on like a bar with a doughnut theme

Nic P.

Yelp
Donuts are a very tricky thing to get right for some reason (to me). But Brewnuts does them so dang well. And before I begin let me say that any business that is so openly inclusive and welcoming (as you'll see in the photos) is a business you should support. I am forever changed by these donuts, they were that incredible. Nothing else will ever compare. I walked into this beautiful magic factory and, I feel like they did this on purpose, but they had 12 different flavors. So you want me to buy a dozen? Well, ok. Nobody needs a dozen donuts unless they're Brewnuts. So I got my dozen and I grabbed an amazing Ohio beer, Bodhi Double IPA, took my little basket and knife so I could taste each one and sat down at a really cute picnic table totally unprepared. Every piece of doughnut that I ate was absolute perfection (except the espresso, I dislike coffee). The flavors are so unique and so palate pleasing that you will not soon forget them. My favorite out of all of them, if I'm forced to choose, was the chocolate cream filled heart. Oh my goodness, so delicious. The cream filling wasn't that cloyingly sweet artificial taste that comes in most filled donuts. It tasted almost like a chocolate whipped cream with a little more weight and depth. Delicious. If you want something surprising and different, try the Violet Clementine. At first it's very surprising and almost perfume-y, but then it settles into a really interesting and tasty bite. I can't explain it any other way than that, please don't ask me to. It was delicious. They are all delicious. The beer selection is amazing. The people are amazing. The space is amazing. The people are welcoming and the space is welcoming. Also, I never tip places like this, but I definitely tipped here. I believe it's locally owned and they do such an amazing job you will definitely want to tip them and come back again and again!

Gary S.

Yelp
Unique and tasty donuts that never disappoint!! I really enjoy the coffee as well as the options for beer and liquor. (depending on time of day) The owners are very creative and host all kinds of events, watch parties, and go all in on decorating for the current event.

William L.

Yelp
Brewnuts has some of the most unique and interesting donut flavors I've ever seen- and everything thing has always blown me away. There will be something where you look at it and think no way that would taste good as a donut and it always does. They host a ton of cool events and there is always something going on.

Katie G.

Yelp
We take every visitor we have to Brewnuts! Best donuts around! We love to grab as many of the different donuts we think we can eat and then bring them to Edgewater Park where we find the best picnic table overlooking the lake and then we cut all the donuts into pieces so everyone can try a little of each. Some of our favorites are always the bullseye's and when they have citrus or lavender flavored ones! The strawberry sprinkle is usually always on the menu and that one surprises everyone with how good it is. The menu changes almost every week so if you see a flavor you think sounds good, you better go in quick to try it out! Check out their Instagram to know what flavors they have that day.

John

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick dozen donuts. Service was awful. Girl behind the counter did not want to be there and it showed. Got back to the office and the donuts were all extremely undercooked and still doughy! Stay away from this place if you want friendly service and fully cooked donuts!

Sarah T.

Yelp
My third trimester led me to Brewnuts. We've been craving donuts and I saw the Valentine's Day menu and had to go. This place is super cute and really aesthetically pleasing, pops of color and fun menus. They have coffee and alcohol as well, with their changing menu of donuts. We got a total of 4 donuts, and a coffee. I got their strawberry donut and dense super sweet, but delicious, donut. And the cute little chocolate one with the fun of ganache in the middle. Super dense, but mega delicious. My sister for the rasberry filled cheesecake donut and it kicked you with flavor from the filling. I'm not usually a donut girl but these were amazing! I love that they change up the donuts they have so you're getting something new and fun (they do have staples as well). And they have a fun coffee menu along with a changing cocktail menu to match the donuts. Check this fun place out!

Amy J.

Yelp
I don't know if it was because I was extremely hangry but the stroopwafel donut I tried was so so good! I'm not a huge donut person generally but this one wasn't overly sweet and perfectly fluffy. They also serve cocktails and coffee drinks so I love that this place can go from day to night. The interior is decorated with some Christmas lights for the holidays which adds to the retro vibes going on in here. The person who helped us was also so sweet! Thanks for being the perfect pit stop before dinner.

Charlie C.

Yelp
The donuts are very dry, basically all the flavor is in whatever is on top (which is very rarely good anyways). I don't understand the glowing reviews here when you're pretty much just paying for frosting and sprinkles, cereal or whatever else they decide to put on top

Irene C.

Yelp
We got the maple bacon and the pumpkin cream cheese roll for ~~~fall vibeZ~~~~ and they were delicious!! Highly rec the pumpkin roll and the hot chocolate. The doughnuts are a pretty large size and can eat them and save for later. Note that they may sell out, especially of popular ones like the pumpkin cream cheese so go in the morning!!

Jacqueline T.

Yelp
I'm usually pretty good at finding local places that I'll like, so I don't usually have to write many bad reviews. Unfortunately, this one was a miss for us. Their donuts look and sound really good. They have really unique flavors which is right up my alley. We tried three donuts: the Everything "Bagel" Twist, Banana Golden Graham Butterscotch, and Blueberry Goat Cheese Filled with Lemon Icing. The icings were good, but the donuts weren't glazed at all. They were huge and just ended up being very dry/bready. It tasted like bread with icing on top to me and I really didn't enjoy them at all. They have really good reviews though, so either other people enjoy this kind of donut or we just got them on an off day.

Tina B.

Yelp
These donuts are scrumptious & they are fairly large. Hubby and I picked up a box of 4 donuts and we weren't able to finish them as the filled donuts had an abundant amount of filling, which sadly isn't the case with most donut shops. They have interesting flavor donut offerings that change often in addition to some of their regular flavors. We enjoyed the glaze, lemon pie and peanut butter & jelly. There was ample seating area in the shop and though we didn't have any beer at this visit, there's quite a variety of on-tap brews to select from.

Nikki T.

Yelp
I'm sorry to change my review....but subsequent visits since 2019 I've since changed my mind on brew nuts. The first time was good a solid 4. Since then just don't feel it. And then this last time really solidified it for me. The bar tender(s) always seem less then happy to be there/take orders and we'll honestly the quality of the donuts just aren't as good. Or maybe they sit more now idk what it is. Brought some friends in for a donut and drink from out of town bc the idea is really cute and unique. Well everyone was just really underwhelmed and the donuts were honestly either old tasting or just not good. Had a dunkin doughnut at work this week that was 10x better and more than half the price. Wish I would of took my guests somewhere else.

Patty Caraballo M.

Yelp
I love everything about brewnuts from the owners fun post to their creative donut drink combos. A must stop if you are in the Gordon square area. The donut selections are always delicious and filling., even the vegan donuts are mouth watering. If you are cocktail lover or a beer drinker, the selections are endless. No beer, never fear because they offer coffee as well. Love love love!!

Lauren K.

Yelp
It took me an embarrassingly long time to check out Brewnuts. I stopped by with a friend to support their fundraiser for Ukraine and pick up a 1/2 dozen of the Ukraine donuts benefiting humanitarian causes. Brewnuts makes you immediately happy and gives you energetic Cleveland vibes. Brewnuts is probably known best for its oversized donuts and accompanying beer menu. Yes, donuts and beer! Clevelands only donut bar. I didn't do any beer, but rather just the Ukraine donuts to-go. The donuts are all made in small batches and are some of the best donuts in Cleveland. They're known for their inventive flavors, custom donuts and colorful, photo-worthy donuts that can instantly make anyone jealous. They taste as great as they look! There's a small area to sit but we were grabbing ours to-go anyways. Parking can be tough in this part of Gordon Square, so give yourself time and be patient in finding street parking. If you're seeking something specific, it also doesn't hurt to call ahead and see if its still in-stock. Brewnuts has a great reputation around town for many good reasons. It's a true stop on any Cleveland food tour!

Amanda D.

Yelp
Parked across the street behind the movie theater! Not sure if this is recommended, but the lot was relatively empty and no issues! Its just a quick 2 minutes to the front door of Brewnuts. Very inviting decor, family friendly space as well. You can choose to sit at the bar or tables, but have the option to take things to go! The staff was quick and efficient. We ordered three donuts: maple bacon, strawberry with sprinkles, and brown sugar poptart. We almost chose the cosmic brownie donut but decided against it! The iced coffee was good, definitely recommend getting it black or get a water to cut the sweetness of the donuts. Overall, donuts were soft and super flavorful. We will definitely be back to get a dozen or two for a fun breakfast!

Nicole M.

Yelp
Can never go wrong with Brewnuts! Donuts and beer?! Amazing!! The rotating menu is always exciting to check out. Obviously sometimes they have some they aren't to my liking but they clearly have no issues having something for everyone. Beer & cocktails selections are always good too! Coffee isn't my favorite leaves a weird taste in my mouth but not letting that impact my decision to not go there. Seating inside is spacious and can hold a decent amount of people. Parking can sometimes be a little rough especially if you go on the weekends when they are a little more busy. Speaking of when they are busy, you might have a little bit of a wait when waiting to place your orders. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in the area!

Julie S.

Yelp
Went here because a friend wanted to get a donut and coffee after our brunch date with a group of our friends. I've never been to this place and always heard good things so I thought, why not?! This place definitely did not disappoint!! Everything about this place was amazing! The lattes were phenomenal as well! The only thing that I would suggest is, if you get the tagalong iced latte, that you use the straw as a spoon for the peanut butter because when it gets stuck at the end of your straw, it's not fun. Other than that the donuts were so fresh!!! I love a delicious fluffy glaze donut and this place served it with confidence! Very happy I tagged along with my friend to get coffee and donuts!

Gina D.

Yelp
I love Brewnuts! The donuts are so good and always fresh, really cool atmosphere right in the middle of Gordon Square. Really fun to go after dinner and grab a donut and a beer or espresso.

Chadwin B.

Yelp
The service here is great, vibes are great, donuts are amazing! Some of the best donuts I have ever had easily. For a donut establishment, I can't see how it could get much better than this! Keep in mind, these donuts are huge and very heavy, but super high quality.Highly recommend if in town!

Noah F.

Yelp
Dude, who new they made a beer to go with doughnuts? Want some oversized, creative and slightly overpriced (too sweet?) doughnuts this is your place in Cleveland. Showing up on a weekend, be prepared to wait. But it's worth it. Full compliment of coffee drinks, plus BEER! That's a French toast fry cake with a wolf ridge coffee cream ale.

Lauren G.

Yelp
Donuts and local beers? YES PLEASE! I loved this space so much, the decor was random and eclectic and fun, the donuts are INCREDIBLE, and a full bar! A must stop for donut lovers.

Annie M.

Yelp
A+ for creative donut flavors. A+ for delicious donut dough. B- for icing I've been here twice now and had the same experience basically. They have such an enticing variety of donut flavors. For example, today some of the options included strawberry pop tart, cotton candy, Cap'n Crunch, maple bacon and more. Their donuts are fricken HUGEEEE like half the size of my head. The dough is really delicious too but the icing is pretty meh. I literally tried a bite or two of my two donuts today and then tore the icing off and just ate the baked donut. Haha. Big YAY for having #blm signs and pride flags. Definitely not my favorite donuts around but I think they're a really dang cool business and I'll continue to support them for sure.

Warren S.

Yelp
Where do I start?! Brewnuts has the BEST donuts I've ever had!! Shelley and John run an exceptional business and have a friendly team hard at work creating awesome specialty themed donuts and the "regular flavors" we all know and love! Not to mention they have beer on tap (available for to-go orders) and other libations - hence the Brewnuts name! Donuts are big and extremely filling, just a fair warning. I also want to note how proud I am to see they were one or the first businesses in the area that I visited after COVID hit in March who actually were extremely proactive in instituting social distancing and closing indoor seating. This does cause a line to build up outside on weekends and other busy days, but the wait is always worth it! Before COVID, Brewnuts used to host fun events including monthly drag shows with fun themes and it was always a joy to attend those. On top of that, Brewnuts does so much to support the Cleveland community and gives back when they can. Forever my favorite local Cleveland business to support!

Marcus F.

Yelp
Oh man, I wish I could sit here all day munching on donuts and sipping beer. There were so many delicious options for both, I think a multi-day trip is the way to go next time. I got their hot honey buttered cornbread donut and Nutella coffee stroopwafel bullseye donuts. Both were fantastic! The Nutella donut was STUFFED with cream, I wish all donuts were like this. They were both super fresh and fluffy, and super fluffy. Will definitely be back!

C V.

Yelp
Amazing. Donuts were delicious. So was the beer. Lots of flavors to choose from. We both ordered 2 a piece not knowing how big they are!

Omar D.

Yelp
Friends and I were across the street eating dinner at a neighboring restaurant when a sign outside of Bewnuts caught our attention: "happy 40th birthday, Britney". So uhhhh we had to stop in! It was a Britney Spears birthday party! Donuts were Britney inspired (and must I say there were delicious!). Music was playing in the background (all Britney). Staff was so nice and appreciative of people coming in to check out the place). We had some beer, donuts, and even ended up getting a shot ski. The ambiance is pretty chill. The bathrooms are super clean! The crowd was diverse and inclusive. I loved it here and will definitely return.

Ashley O.

Yelp
I was really excited to pick up donuts as we've had them in the past and they were good, but this time, they just tasted like grease. They were so oily and the oil created a pretty thick crust. Hoping this was a one off.

Joe C.

Yelp
Donuts and beer! What can be better than that? Definitely a must if you are in the Cleveland area. All the donuts are so unique and fun to try out. Each time I go in here there is a different donut which is cool to try. I personally think there are better tasting donuts around the Cleveland area but none are quite as unique and outside the box as Brewnuts.
