We ordered the shaved ice here, and the portion was quite generous even though it was labeled as “kiddo.” It tasted good and we enjoyed it. The only downside was the unpleasant smell when we walked in—improving the store’s cleanliness would make the experience much better.

This is a small chain focusing on Hawaiian shave ice. While this shop is simple, they have all the key flavors and toppings to make a refreshing shave ice. It is amazing on a hot day and very fun for kids and adults alike. I like to get macadamia nut ice cream in the center, fruity flavored syrups, and topped with Ling Hi Mui powder for a bit of tartness. There are plenty of options though, so you can customize to your tastes. For example there is condensed milk, Dole whip, etc. There is a selection of syrups that are sweetened with Stevia instead of sugar, if that is a preference. In my opinion, these syrups are all on the sweet side, except the Green Tea. So much so that I ask them to go light on syrup. But that is just my taste, I prefer light sweetness. There are other items here like Boba but I haven't tried them. At this particular location, there is no seating indoors or outdoors. The parking lot seems to always be very full and difficult to find a spot in.

Such a fun shop, renowned for their delicious shaved ice. However, this time I opted for boba, though I couldn't help but regret my decision upon seeing everyone else enjoying the shaved ice. They offer a wide variety of treats, including slushies. I ordered a Thai tea with boba for $5, which I found to be a great deal compared to other nearby places. The staff were friendly, and the location was clean. They even had customer-only bathrooms and ample parking in the public lot. Apparently, their specialty here is the dole whip, so I'll definitely make sure to try it next time!

Delicious shaved ice. I highly recommend adding ice cream. They serve Fosselman's Ice Cream. Yum! Great service and generous portions.

Pretty much my favorite shaved ice store in LA, or this franchise at least. They have a lot of options of flavors and fillings (imo the dole whip or vanilla ice cream is the best) and huge portions (my friends, family and I can only finish the Kiddie size unless we're starving). A freat thing is they're open (kind of) late. I take everyone here and they're usually mind blown.

Their Uji-Kintoki was amazing. Fluffy shaved ice, right amount of sweetness from condensed milk and Azuki, and slight saltiness and nice texture from mochi.

Met up with my favorite SFV girls for an afternoon catch up along with some shaved ice & boba. The inside had plenty of tables & bright yellow walls with beach murals. The counter for ordering looked like a hut with a huge plexiglass window as a barrier. I found this strange since it wasn't a bank but I guess it kept the server safe. I ordered the passionfruit black tea with light boba which was very good! A few of the girls got the shaved ice which they liked. *Great place to meet up with friends *Gets busy around 3:00pm when the kiddos get out of school *Perfect for Kids of ALL ages:) *Plenty of parking in the lot - just be very cautious since many drivers are not paying attention when parking or leaving here!

After coming here last year for boba, I definitely wanted to come back for some shaved ice. I recently went to Hawaii, where they're known for their shaved ice, and I had the best of my life over there. I won't lie--this one comes really close. Almost perfect! I love that they have options to build your own, or you can choose from some of their specials. I got the #3 "Sour Face," which has lemon, lemonade, and green apple, topped with a sour spray for an extra fun kick. They also offer the option to add ice cream or Dole Whip, so next time I come, I'll build my own and try it with ice cream and some fun extra toppings. The space is small inside, but they have a huge parking lot and a few indoor tables for dining with family or friends.

Came here with some fellow yelpers to hang! I got the honey black tea with boba. The tea itself tasted so good - and the boba was fresh! Super good. The space is small but super cute on the inside. The people that work there were great. Parking- it's in a shopping center so parking is pretty easy!

A refreshing day for some shaved ice and some much needed girls time. A build your own shave ice or pick a staff favorite. I ended opting to build my own; shaved ice, dole whip ($1 extra), syrups in mango and strawberry (up to three for free) and then you can get a free topping but I didn't want any extra sugar on top. It was soft shaved iced and the dole whip gave it an extra creaminess to it. I got the kids size and it was great for one person. **They also have boba, acai and slushes here if you don't want the shaved iced. Inside seating is small but we managed to push two tables together and made it work.

I just stopped at Brian's Shaved Ice & Boba. Small delightful little spot in Tarzana. Ordered a large Mango Green Tea & Boba and a Matcha Boba. They were delicious and refreshing. The service was fast only waited a couple of minutes.

I have to say, first of all, I love shaved ice but unfortunately today we came by and I felt so bad for the one young lady that is working alone with 16 customers lined up and placing orders. Can the owners help her. She's busting her butt takings and making them. Give this girl a raise!! A bonus even! She deserves it! Let me add she still did it all with a smile! Thank you mine was great!!!

Stopped in for a new year's snack. The staff was very helpful, with additional advice on what to add into your boba. I added honey boba. The shop has a lovely setting with plenty of seating space. If you're out with a buddy, this is the spot.

if we can give here a 20/10 we would it was our first time here last week and we ended up going back two days later. we got the shaved ice: one with blue raspberry and cotton candy and one with colada and banana. the second time we got: blue bubblegum and cotton candy, and blue raspberry and banana with sour spray each time the shaved ice was so so yummy and smooth. we took it to go both times, about a ten min drive, and the shaved ice traveled so well and tasted just as good when we got home!! i wish we lived closer and could visit more this summer!!

This spot is a hidden gem! I went with my family to get ice cream and we decided to go to Brain's Shave Ice & Boba, and everyone enjoyed it. Everyone was nice and friendly attended us well, and made a joke which cheered my day. I tried the boba as well, and the flavors were so tasty and I was in love.

Love me some good shaved ice, and Brian's has truly withstood the test of time. This location is in a large plaza with a pho place and a sushi place, and just next to Corbin Bowl. This is a good dessert place after a date or a day of fun. It is not much of a place to stay and hang, but that's okay. Service is efficient and polite. The menu is extensive - I went with cotton candy, tiger's blood, and blue raspberry the last time. There's plenty for everyone. Don't forget the stamp card! There's ample parking in the plaza, or else metered street parking outside of the plaza. Don't forget to pay your meter!

First REAL shaved ice I've encounter. Super nice cashier easy to order and got our shaved ice very fast. HUGE PORTIONS. The flavors are delicious and definitely worth the 20 minute drive.

There were so many delicious flavors to choose from--my favorites were strawberry and mango. The fresh fruit and condensed milk toppings were the perfect addition. A refreshing treat for a hot day! Highly recommend! Totally a sweet spot for your date and family time. It was so good we took a photo after taking the first bites.

Very cute place with great prices They have shaved ice with over 30 flavors to choose from . They also have slushes . My favorite it the bubble with vanilla ice cream . The teens that work there are very cute and friendly. More then enough parking outside the shop

Wow I can't believe that I only now found out about this place. Their prices are so cheap and the portions are so big and the taste is amazing. This is now going to be my once a week going to place. It's in a big shopping center so they have lots of parking. The girls that work there are very sweet and they work fast

The sno-cones are amazing here! We drive from Castaic to Tarzana for them. So many flavors and the sizes are Wow! The kiddie is the small, which is NOT small at all, the regular is the medium, then there's the large, which can be shared by 2 people. I've gotten the Root Beer Float sno cone, snow capped( condensed milk on top) , this is root beer and vanilla flavors, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream in the middle! Sooo goood!! Only down is there is no seating. There are chairs and tables in the place, but not set out for use, they are stacked up. Need to sit in your car or on the dirty steps next to the place.

My go to sweet treat! Servings are super generous, with their smallest size only being $5 and big enough for me to eat in two meals. They have super large variety of flavors, and their fillings make a super tasty combo and texture. Love it

Wow, I have been there like a dozen times and never wrote a review! So here goes! Nothing super special about the place but they do have some good drinks. I am not a boba person, not a sugary drink person - but once in a while I will go to a place like this and buy one, especially if with friends/family. So yesterday I tried a milk tea. I LOVED IT! Not sugary at all, and very tasty. A large was 5 bucks even. I've never really understood the appeal of shaved ice or the other kinds of drinks they have on their menu... I'm from the Snoopy Snow Cone Machine and snowcones era haha I think these places are mostly for younger people who need sugar highs. And some of them drink a LOT of these drinks. I suppose it's a better alternative to Starbucks, which has gone far downhill. It's also a better alternative to McCafe and their diabetes drinks lol They have so much sugar that it is not even funny! The good thing about this location is that it is never really crowded, but during cold-flu season, wear a mask in there, it's a very small store not very well ventilated. Or just get your drink and leave right after if there are more than like 3 people in there.

After my trip from Hawaii, I was on the search for a shaved ice place that would bring back the memories. Thankfully, Brian's shave ice did just that! When you walk inside the store, you get a family environment feeling where everyone is welcome. The menu resembled the one back in Hawaii from having mai tai to li hing mui as their shave ice flavor. If you haven't tried the li Hing mui flavor, I highly suggest it esp if you like sweet things. It's also important to note that they get their syrups from Oahu, which makes it clear to me where I'll be getting shave ice from now one. I did want to note that the macadamia ice cream wasn't as good as I thought it would be, because the nuts tasted a bit old and unfresh.

Love that place!! The shaved ice is great and comes with a lot of different flavors. I also love their bubble tea drinks. I was helped by Justin and he's was amazing !!

I got a shaved ice, half pineapple half lime filled with pineapple Dole! Wow! Very sweet but very delicious. My kiddos got cherry:lime with vanilla ice cream filling and cotton candy/bubblegum with vanilla ice cream filling. They were both soo yummy. I don't think you can go wrong with vanilla filling in any snow cone. The snow cone ice was fine and easy to eat, nice and fluffy! The kids size is very generous and it was a cold day so we got the right size but on a hot day maybe we would get the small! The place itself is clean and they don't allow seating in the restaurant. They have many many flavor syrups so I can't Wait to try the other flavor combinations. My husband got a jasmine milk tea boba and he enjoyed that! We will definitely be back and yes we recommend!

If you want something light, airy, and packed with flavor come to Brian's shaved ice. I prefer this location over the Sherman oaks location as there is more parking available. The service here is great, they make it super smooth, will also answer any questions you may have.

I came in looking to get a boba but was impulsed on shaved ice since that's what everyone else was getting. The menu has many choices for shaved ice but not as many for fruit teas. I went with one of recommendations, Howzit Brah, which had hawaiian punch, mango, and peach. I just added condensed milk because what's shaved ice without it. It was great and reasonably priced. I recommend ordering the "kiddie" size for one person cuz the regular seemed huge.

Get your ICE on here at Brian's. This place is your one stop shop for that late night sugar rush. There are a few locations across LA, and all of them offer a great selection of Shave Ice and Boba drinks. I come here often as it's a great convenient spot and always open late! Staff are super friendly and quick to get your orders out. The do a great job explaining the menu and some of the flavors if you happen to get mixed up in all the sugary greatness on their selection wall. My personal favs are the Ubi and Green Tea shave ice specialty selections. There isn't much else close to those unique flavors offered at any other Shave Ice shop. I'll be back for more for sure!

Lately I've been ordering the taro milk tea. It's so delicious every time. This place always puts the right amount of boba. They also have really fast service. I have been ordering through Yelp and it always says 30-40 min pickup time, but it's always ready within in 10 min. They keep it cold for you in the fridge which is great. Plenty of parking is around as it is located in a larger complex across the street from Sol Y Luna.

Shockingly delicious!!! Popped in today with my family, and boy, what a treat. My son got a kiddie shaved ice with blue vanilla, cherry and strawberry with sour spray, i got the lavender slush with boba and my husband got a regular slush (macademia ice cream, root beer and second flavor, and sour spray), and they were all delicious. My son's ice was full of flavor and that sour spray was for sure sour; and my slush had an appropriate balance of lavender, it wasn't overpowering, and my husband kept raving about the slush and ice cream. There was no seating inside or outside (i think they keep adhering to covid guidelines, which was ok since our family and other customers to the stairs around the shopping center). Will for sure come again, what a lovely Valley treat!

my brother has been coming here since he was in highschool and i'm just getting to finally try it. it is so so delicious. i've been looking for a shaved ice place with soft good ice and this place hits the spot so good. the service is fast, efficient and friendly! will definitely be back a million times

Both of my kids have vomited after drinking a black tea boba from this location on separate occasions. I've tried calling to speak to a manager and nobody will answer the phone. The last two times we went the teas looked cloudy. It's not very clean here. I'm adding a star for their low prices, but I wouldn't recommend going here considering you might get sick.

They have Authentic Hawaiian Shave Ice just like in the Hawaiian Islands, Fosselman's Ice Cream, Smoothies, Dole Whip, Açaí Bowls, Boba & other refreshing treats. For the Shave Ice it's a 4 Step Process. 1) First Choose Your Size, Your Filling, Your Flavor & Your Topping. I chose a Medium, Dole Whip with Blue Hawaii, Mango & Tiger Blood & Snow Capped. It was Really Good & Very Refreshing on a Warm Summer Evening! It used to be, you had to have Mega Bucks & be really rich to have the Good Life, not anymore. The Game has changed. You've been Upgraded. Now You Can Live Like a King on a Limited Budget!

The things they serve are great. The kids always enjoy their shaved ice or boba. I've been coming here for years with cousins and family. BUT part of the experience of going to get shaved ice, or ice cream is to sit at the establishment enjoy our dessert and have a laugh. They took out their seating during Covid, we are not 4 years after its time to bring it back. It makes no sense to me why the tables and chairs are inside the establishment but we can not use them. Why do my children need to sit on a dirty sidewalk and eat their food. Gross. When I ask the employees what the problem is with me pulling up a chair they say management doesn't allow it. Also, time for a refresh of the restroom.

Was craving Shaved ice & this place popped up! We found parking right in the front on a late Sunday evening. The shaved ice was delicious! The açaí bowl was a tad bit too sweet for me. Will be back whenever another shaved ice craving hits

I've had this place bookmarked for a while, but now that I finally tried the boba, I'm very underwhelmed :( I wasn't super impressed by the selection of drinks, and I was really surprised they didn't have brown sugar milk tea on the menu. I ordered a caramel milk tea instead, and my friend got a matcha milk tea. Both of our drinks tasted really watered down and the flavor was barely there. Not bad, just tasted like they were trying to cut down on costs. The boba itself was also pretty hard and not as supple as some of my favorite places. I'm pretty sure this is the only time in my life I haven't finished my boba. Like I said, it's not bad, but it's just...not good. There are so many better options nearby.

The service, well what service??? Their phones never work.. We get boba from this location all the time since it is the closest place to get boba. It has been extremely inconvenient for us at our work place; having to leave to place the order their and wait while they work like sloths. We have asked why their phones don't work, their response was hmmm I dont know?? the phones haven't rang all day?????? As a business owner I would think they would want their phone systems fixed. The employees that work at this establishment don't care, they are chit chatting amongst themselves and on their phones taking pictures and texting, no concerns for their customers. This is an ongoing issue. If I can give negative stars regarding customer service I would.

My wife enjoyed the shaved ice. My Boba wasn't too bad either. But, the attitude and rudeness of the male cashier with the beanie and earrings was unprofessional, silly, and ruined the vibe. I was in high school once too, but check the attitude when a customer is trying to support your business. Don't be an immature punk to customers.

Being a big fan of shaved ice, this location does the job. My usual is blue hawaiian, cotton candy, and blue bubble gum. The flavors are a great combination, especially on a hot day. Granted, I will have shaved ice if it's minus 30 I enjoy so much. The staff is great and make sure your needs are met. Parking is in the main lot which accommodates a number of stores and is usually a non issue.

Cute little place lots of flavor options for the shaved ice. I really recommend the taiyaki ice cream it was a generous portion and the mix of coffee and vanilla flavored ice cream with the warm taiyaki was amazingggg. The staff was very nice too.

Sadly this use to be a great Shave ice spot, but lately it's gotten so bad. We came here regularly but the last few times it's been flavorless ice. This time we got 4 shave ice and all 4 were water flavor basically shave ice with no flavor. No syrup. We brought it back to show them and to give them a final chance, but they made it again and worse. To top it off the girls making them had a bad attitude when we showed them that there was no flavor 1/2 way through and hardly anything on the top. To be honest I don't like it too sweet, but plain ice is ridiculous. This used to be a favorite spot for our family, I guess it's time to move on.

I love it here. All the drinks are creamy with flavor. Haven't tried shaved ice yet but I hear it's good the Thai tea has half and half but they have soy milk or almond milk if u don't want dairy. I had it with cream it was good The other milk teas are NON DAIRY I had rose milk tea it's very sweet, FYI I ask for 75 percent rose syrup, The lavender milk tea is my favorite!! Good spot. The location could get busy at times which makes parking a pain, but when you're in its definitely worth it. They have some pretty great prices I've seen so far. One of our favorite things to get is the shaved ice with a scoop of ice cream inside. It was a first for me and now I don't think I could have it any other way. Everything seems to be great quality and rich in flavor. One of my fave places to come for a treat.

Me, my pregnant wife, her friend, and 3 other couples got here 10 minute before closing. One couple that got here before us tried to open the door and they shut the lights off on them. We then walked in and they kicked us out in a rude manner. They say there and argued that they don't have ice and they cleaned up and don't wanna make anything. I get it. It's 10 minutes before closing but you're still open. If that's the case, change closing time to 9:49 when they kicked us out. Incredibly disappointed as I've been a fan of this place and the environment but now I'll give my business to somewhere else as well as 13 other repeat customers. I hope management can hear the people dissatisfaction. Now my wife is mad and I'm sleeping on the couch tonight. I hope it was worth it. :(

This spot always closes early!!! I got here ten minutes before closing and they said they were closed after I asked them if they closed at 10pm. They proceeded to tell me that they close 5 minutes before 10pm. (Where's the sign?) Very disappointed in this place, workers are always rude and stuck up.

OMG the perfect treat for a hot summer! Went by here for the first time and they have some amazing flavors, even two sugar free ones! The regular size literally compares to a large elsewhere. Definitely worth the value and you walk away knowing you've gotten your moneys worth. Highly recommend.

I really enjoy boba from this place. I have cravings for boba often. I am able to order from the app and walk in and pick it up. They usually finish the drink about 10-15 mins after I place the order. They are also open pretty late. I noticed they were not open on new year's day so make sure to check the holiday schedule. I usually order the jasmine milk tea which is not too sweet. The mango milk tea is very sweet. The boba is soft and even when I get a large, the boba lasts to every last sip. Very good boba!
