The Conservatory

"Titchwell Manor’s formal dining room is a bright, airy space looking out over the walled gardens. Cooking champions local ingredients with seafood from Brancaster Staithe and meat and game from local estates. Unfussy modern classics focus on natural flavours, using a less-is-more approach." - Michelin Inspector

Lovely Stay in a Great Location We recently stayed at Briarfields Hotel in Titchwell and were very impressed overall. The location is fantastic — perfectly placed for exploring the local area and enjoying the beautiful Norfolk coastline. Our room was spacious, well furnished, and spotlessly clean, making it a very comfortable base. For the quality and space provided, we felt it was excellent value for money. The food was good and nicely presented, though not quite outstanding — more solid than spectacular. That said, we certainly enjoyed our meals here. The hotel is run by a hardworking young team, and it’s clear they put a lot of effort into looking after guests. A few of the staff could perhaps be a little more cheerful — I wasn’t sure if it was tiredness or that they weren’t enjoying their work — but overall, service was friendly and helpful. In short, a great place to stay in a prime location, offering good value, comfortable rooms, and a generally warm welcome.

Excellent family friendly coastal hotel. We couldnt have asked for more, the rooms were spacious and all set up for our toddler and 5 year old for our arrival, beautifully decorated and facing a lovely little courtyard. The food was also delicious from our evening meal (the miso cod!) and the kids ate for free as well. The breakfast was fantastic, yummy fruit platters and we will be talking about the harissa eggs for a while! The hotel also boasts an amazing kids play park with zip lines with a great terrace. The staff were so nice and made us feel super welcome with two young children. Lots of games and colouring. Such a lovely hotel and we can’t wait to come back. Thank you to Paul and the team.

Had a fantastic meal here with the family at the end of a long day around the North Norfolk coast. Portion size very generous plus the kids menu was great to see different options other than just a burger. Staff very friendly, large car park with a great outdoor area for the kids.

I always struggle with the dinner menu here. l go as part of an organised group so have no choice of where we stay but I really enjoy the rest of it so put up with Briarfields. The breakfast is really good but service is so slow even when not busy. The starters are quite nice especially the Korean chicken . Main course fish and chips. The fish was served in thick overcooked batter so the fish inside was dried up.Next day burger. The burger bun was overcooked and the burger like shoe leather. Final night roast pork.Sent it back as it was pink .The kale was like trying to eat a green hanky it was so undercooked. Service slow. Mostly red meat and fish on the menu. Maybe a chicken option and more veggie choice would be good. Staff are very pleasant.|Room noisy as I could everything going on in the bathroom in the next room. Bright lights in the courtyard Al night that show through blinds. I'm||E

Really impressed, large car park, welcoming gorgeous smelling reception, room beautifully decorated, comfortable bed, good sheets, towels everything spotless. Large garden, plenty of chairs with large wooden children’s play area, backs onto RSPB and sea beyond. Didn’t eat there but spacious dining area overlooking garden, also cosy lounge areas with books, games if wanted. Would go back.

Visited for an evening drink and to use the playpark, outside garden empty but every single table was covered in empty glasses, rubbish etc. Looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for hours. Not great. ||Into the restaurant, again not busy. Served by a young women. First drink Guinness, and the barrel had gone, ‘I’ll try the otherside she says, I can’t be bothered with that I just want to go home now’. Hmm ok. Next onto my drink, a San Miguel.. What was presented to me was a bottom of the barrel cloudy pint. My partner works in a pub and knew it was off as she walked over with it. She placed it in front of me to which my partner said that beer is off and she responded ‘yeah I did think it didn’t look right’ Had my partner not said anything she would have charged me for a drink that would have potentially made me poorly. Asked for some menus which was a yeah of course. Grabbed her phone and asked someone behind the bar if she can leave now, to which I caught her attention and asked if I can have those menus? Yes it’s 5 minutes past your home time but still some level of customer service is expected. Overall not a great experience. Food menu if u had bothered to stay needs more variety as not an awful lot on there at all.

I stayed in a deluxe room on my own whilst visiting the Titchwell bird reserve next door.|The room was very large with a separate bathroom and a separate clothes storage room. Everything in the room worked well, and I had a really comfortable stay. |If you are visiting the RSPB reserve at Titchwell, this is probably the best place to stay. |Breakfast is included in the price and was of good quality. When I stayed before, there was a self-service and a table service, but now the self-service part is not available. This is not a problem, as the waitresses will bring you anything you want.|The only 2 negative points to be aware of are:|a) There is no iron and ironing board in the room|b) In the room that I stayed in, there were two small windows in the ceiling. They were great during the day because they allow more light in, but in the evening they could be troublesome for those who want complete darkness.

Lovely place for a drink and a pub lunch, absolutely massive area for children to play, best I've seen. Only marking down a star as the vegetarian options are very limited and they don't offer any vegetarian sandwiches. But the onion baji burger was delicious.
