The Conservatory

"Titchwell Manor’s formal dining room is a bright, airy space looking out over the walled gardens. Cooking champions local ingredients with seafood from Brancaster Staithe and meat and game from local estates. Unfussy modern classics focus on natural flavours, using a less-is-more approach." - Michelin Inspector

We stayed in room 19 which was outstanding. Very spacious, spotless, good value for money. The other facilities were amazing, relaxing, peaceful and just a great place to stay. We had an evening meal and the beef & ale pie, absolutely delicious. Breakfast was perfect; hot croissant, then eggs Benedict and toast. We couldn’t fault it. All in all a perfect place to stay, close to fabulous walks, beaches. The staff were very courteous and professional. We would highly recommend it.

Had a fantastic meal here with the family at the end of a long day around the North Norfolk coast. Portion size very generous plus the kids menu was great to see different options other than just a burger. Staff very friendly, large car park with a great outdoor area for the kids.

Great location. Convenient room with adjacent parking. Most staff friendly but don’t recommend eating more than breakfast. Dinner menu selection is poor and delivery is worse. Could not eat my main course tonight even with a generous helping of sauce to mask the taste. Pulled pork over spiced and degenerated into an unappetising mess accompanied by undercooked chips. Burger bread boring and uninviting. Lettuce shredded so fine it got lost in the mayonnaise and was a further mushed mess. Chocolate tart so firm one needed more than the single spoon offered To break into it. Chasing ice cream around the oversized plate as it melted. Suspect a falsely exotically described menu in reality masks cheap ingredients poorly delivered. Feel the food on offer is a poor comparison with the room offering and really lets the experience of staying here down as one seeks a decent evening meal after a day in the fresh air.

Excellent family friendly coastal hotel. We couldnt have asked for more, the rooms were spacious and all set up for our toddler and 5 year old for our arrival, beautifully decorated and facing a lovely little courtyard. The food was also delicious from our evening meal (the miso cod!) and the kids ate for free as well. The breakfast was fantastic, yummy fruit platters and we will be talking about the harissa eggs for a while! The hotel also boasts an amazing kids play park with zip lines with a great terrace. The staff were so nice and made us feel super welcome with two young children. Lots of games and colouring. Such a lovely hotel and we can’t wait to come back. Thank you to Paul and the team.

Lovely Stay in a Great Location We recently stayed at Briarfields Hotel in Titchwell and were very impressed overall. The location is fantastic — perfectly placed for exploring the local area and enjoying the beautiful Norfolk coastline. Our room was spacious, well furnished, and spotlessly clean, making it a very comfortable base. For the quality and space provided, we felt it was excellent value for money. The food was good and nicely presented, though not quite outstanding — more solid than spectacular. That said, we certainly enjoyed our meals here. The hotel is run by a hardworking young team, and it’s clear they put a lot of effort into looking after guests. A few of the staff could perhaps be a little more cheerful — I wasn’t sure if it was tiredness or that they weren’t enjoying their work — but overall, service was friendly and helpful. In short, a great place to stay in a prime location, offering good value, comfortable rooms, and a generally warm welcome.

I always struggle with the dinner menu here. l go as part of an organised group so have no choice of where we stay but I really enjoy the rest of it so put up with Briarfields. The breakfast is really good but service is so slow even when not busy. The starters are quite nice especially the Korean chicken . Main course fish and chips. The fish was served in thick overcooked batter so the fish inside was dried up.Next day burger. The burger bun was overcooked and the burger like shoe leather. Final night roast pork.Sent it back as it was pink .The kale was like trying to eat a green hanky it was so undercooked. Service slow. Mostly red meat and fish on the menu. Maybe a chicken option and more veggie choice would be good. Staff are very pleasant.|Room noisy as I could everything going on in the bathroom in the next room. Bright lights in the courtyard Al night that show through blinds. I'm||E

Really impressed, large car park, welcoming gorgeous smelling reception, room beautifully decorated, comfortable bed, good sheets, towels everything spotless. Large garden, plenty of chairs with large wooden children’s play area, backs onto RSPB and sea beyond. Didn’t eat there but spacious dining area overlooking garden, also cosy lounge areas with books, games if wanted. Would go back.

We visited for a special birthday. Paul was friendly and helpful with a cake that I had taken along for the birthday celebrations. We had afternoon tea, the quality of the food is very good and presented well. Sausage roll and cheese straws in the savoury selection. The gluten-free stack had 2 scones. The traditional had one scone. The jam and cream pots needed more in them. We had to ask for additional jam and cream. We also asked for more scones as we felt one wasn't enough. We were charged for these until I asked why we had been charged. Then, the additional cost was removed. The other cakes were delicious in the stack. In my opinion, you need 2 scones in traditional afternoon tea. Some of the waitresses hardly spoke and definitely didn't smile.
