24 Best Restaurants in Boston

"When the moon hits your eye, like a big pizza pie: that's Bricco. One of the criticisms you’ll hear about the North End from visitors–and even sometimes locals–is that it can be so difficult to know where to go for dinner. There are simply so many good restaurants, making a selection can feel impossible; yet this Hanover Street icon stands on a level all its own. The Italian-centric wine list offers glasses and bottles for all palates and price points; the housemade pasta and fall-off-the-bone meats capture all the passion and attention to detail that Italian cuisine embodies. There are a few Boston-style winks on the menu, like an abundance of seafood, as well as a Sam Adams-braised pork shank. If you're only in the area for a quick jaunt, hit the alleyway deli for a carry-out sandwich on house-baked bread (the chicken parm and prosciutto options are cult favorites)." - Todd Plummer, Shannon McMahon

Where to Drink Espresso Martinis in Boston This Winter | Eater

"Bricco’s espresso martini should be at the top of your bucket list. The team at this North End Italian restaurant has elevated the classic cocktail with amaretto and hazelnut liqueur, along with the requisite Absolut Vanilla, Kahlúa, and espresso blend. Bricco has served the drink more than a million times, and it was even voted the best espresso martini in town — for good reason. It’s perfectly creamy without being saccharine, save a hint of chocolatey sweetness from a rim dusted with cocoa and raw sugar. There’s no better dessert after a big plate of pasta in the North End." - Molly McDonough

First time here and the I have no idea who our waiter was, he never said his name. He came over and asked if we wanted wine. The brick chicken is one of the best I have tasted in Boston. The espresso martini because of the hype I expected it to be spectacular and it wasn't. It was ok. I have definitely had better. The supporting staff was great. Our waiter was good, but I wish he stated his name. It was also very humid in there. I wish all the doors were open.

Our family visited the North End for spring break and had the pleasure of dining at Bricco last Saturday evening. The food, ambiance, wine, cocktails and desserts were absolutely delicious! However, the best part of our evening was definitely the exceptional service we received from our server, Wolmar! From start to finish we were wowed by his food and drink recommendations, personal attentiveness, fantastic personality and overall superior service. What a gem! He made our experience at Bricco unforgettable and because of him, we will definitely be back! Thank you, Wolmar for treating our family like your family!

I’ve been a fan of the North End for 25 years. This was our first experience dining at Bricco. We enjoyed a wonderful evening of superb service from Alexa. Her wine and food suggestions were excellent. Our entrees were the Fettuccine Carbonara and 7-Spice Brick Chicken, both absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is North End cozy. Definitely worth a return visit.

Enjoyed a great date night with my husband here. Our server was very patient and knowledgeable about the menu after being informed of my dairy allergy. We enjoyed the grilled octopus appetizer, and two pasta dishes which were easy to make dairy free (wild boar and shrimp). I would recommend people with food allergies speak to the staff about your options here. My only comment is that it was very loud and sometimes hard to hear the staff - luckily they were patient about repeating themselves.

Google
Such a phenomenal Italian restaurant with exceptional service from Josh B. He made our evening truly incredible and recommended such great food options. The pasta special of the night was immaculate, and the zucchini flowers, cowboy ribeye, & the parpadelle with wild boar were out of this world! We ended our meal with the BEST espresso martini we’ve ever had in our lives! We highly recommend Bricco to everyone and can’t say enough amazing things about Josh B’s service!

I have had two meals in my life that I will never forget. The first was at Torres winery in Spain. The second was at Bricco last night in Boston. I will dream of this ravioli for the rest of my life. I believe this was agnolotti ravioli. It was a veal and beef stuffed pasta with ricotta, spinach and onions. The sauce was a cream truffle sauce and was so good I would drink it from a glass. I don’t cook, but this made me want to learn so I could eat this anytime. It is a rare gift to take this much joy from one of life’s simplest pleasures - food. The atmosphere and service at this place were impeccable. Our server Camilo was delightful, gracious and attentive without being too involved. There were three of us, all adults, and the food was so good we were quietly just eating and shaking our heads in disbelief for a while during our meal. The restrooms were clean and the whole restaurant had the typical charm of an historical Boston building but with an elegant and classic design. It felt cozy and comfortable and I would honestly go back every week if I lived here. My only complaint would be that tables were very tightly packed which always means a more noisy place, but it wasn’t overbearing and I expect that from most places on a Saturday night anyway. Business have to make money, too, and I’m glad they are because I hope they are here until I make it back to Boston and can return to them again. Also, we didn’t wait but we had a reservation. I highly recommend one because there were lines on the streets at any place worth eating.

Google
My husband and I were here 3/21 after our wedding and Wolmar was so incredible he saved my night!!!! The wine he recommended was amazing, and when the first pasta dish I ordered, the pappardelle, wasn’t cooked (if it was al dente that would have been one thing, but it just wasn’t cooked), he got me something else from the kitchen!! Some sort of ravioli, it was delicious. My husband’s short rib was incredible, and Wolmar brought us out a lovely dessert platter too with “congratulations” written in chocolate :) love love love despite the wobble with the first dish, we’ll be back for Wolmar and his wine!!!!

Google
It's one of the best Italian restaurants I have eaten at! The food and the drinks were amazing. Our party of 8 had two favorite drinks at the table were the espresso martini and the hot and dirty martini. We ordered zucchini flowers for our appetizer, and they were definitely worth it. It is small so space is tight but not too bad. One thing I wish I knew before hand, they have valet parking, cash only, but it is easier and closer than the lot we parked in. Definitely worth going if you have never been.

Yelp
Just want to comment on another fabulous dinner at Bricco in the North End. Always our go to for amazing Italian dishes and amazing hospitality. Atmosphere is great. A special shout out to our waiter Volmar, but you can call him VuVu. He's so good at his job and is so accommodating. I highly recommend that you request him if he's on that night. Braised Rib, Gnocchi, Meatballs, Zucchini flowers, and the wine recommendation was amazing. We can't wait to get back there, so all who may read this, hope you enjoy your fine experience.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of having dinner at Bricco the service was amazing- not only the service but I had the best server ever Wolmar ceolin he was so knowledgeable with the menu and loved the ambiance. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Really loved it here. Bricco has a great reputation and rightfully so. They seated us early and the service was friendly and prompt. The bread service was on point. The ricotta pillows and espresso martini are equally excellent. It's genuinely one of the best espresso martinis I've had. Be sure to get a reservation if you're visiting on a weekend, otherwise it'll be an uphill battle to get in. Looking forward to returning!

Yelp
What a lovely experience having dinner at Bricco! The dimly lit, romantic ambiance is perfect for an intimate date or a get-together with good company. Overall, the food was good, but the portions were small, and for the price, the taste was underwhelming. Papparadelle al Cinghiale (wild boar pasta) - 6/10 Ricotta Pillows (mushroom pasta) - 8/10 Classic Spaghetti Pomodoro - 6/10 Caesar salad - 7/10 - The dressing tasted strongly of anchovies The staff was pleasant to engage with, there were no adverse events.

Yelp
Another spot we checked out in North End - their house bread offering is great - the bread itself is not to write home about but it comes with 3 dips - roasted garlic confit, olive oil, and pesto cream - all delicious. Not a lot of veggie options but they were accommodative of customizations. We got a farfalle primavera with red sauce and a pumpkin tortellini. The pumpkin tortellini was good but the serving size was tiny. The farfalle was clearly handmade pasta, they were huge. The primavera sauce was lovely - very cherry tomato forward. The waiting staff was friendly and the restaurant is reminiscent of formal, dimly lit italian restaurants. Comparing Bricco with Prezza (since they both are in North End and we got basically the same dishes at both), I would say Prezza wins hands down. Although my dishes were delicious at both, I was charged nearly $10 more at Bricco for the same quality and dish (pasta, red sauce, and a couple of veggies!) Additionally, the serving sizes were far better at Prezza given the same tiering of the dishe styles (e.g stuffed pasta). I would give Bricco another chance since it was overall a fabulous meal, but hoping they manage their prices better for vegetarian guests! TDLR: Good but pricey! Great house bread + starter dip

Yelp
This gem was recommended to my colleague and I from a waitress at another restaurant we went to for happy hour. We sat at the bar and were greeted by a friendly bartender. The bread and spreads were delicious. I enjoyed the roasted garlic and white bean spreads. The baked egg plant was delicious as well. For our entrees we split the shrimp pasta and wild boar pappardelle. Both were really good but my favorite was the shrimp pasta. The sauce was amazing!

Yelp
I only stopped in to have a drink but the restaurant looked very nice. Our bartender was very nice as well and we had some of the blueberry cheesecake which was divine! We will be back.

Yelp
Bricco is Boston's Best (at least in my eyes)! Our first time here and wow were we impressed. The North End has so many Italian restaurants to choose from but Bricco definitely stands out for sure. They are one of the first restaurants you see when walking down Hanover Street (from Faneuil Hall), they have a gorgeous bar (some spots do not have one at all), they have friendly staff, especially the bartender we had, a spectacular and premier wine menu for both BTG and bottle and incredible Italian food that makes you want seconds. Bricco is just one of the many restaurants that this restaurant group owns. They also own Assaggio, Aqua Pazza, and Quattro, to name a few. We only shared the meatballs since we weren't all that hungry and they were delicious. I had a few glasses of their Montepulciano which was fantastic and super smooth. We shared their award-winning Espresso Martini for dessert. Bricco should be on your "restaurant bucket list" as your next date night spot for sure. I also would recommend reservations, especially on the weekends. Or you can always eat at the bar too if they have room. Cheers to Italian food in the North End!

Yelp
We sat at the bar and shared the Capriccio and bread. It was delicious and a perfect dinner after a huge lunch somewhere else. The atmosphere was charming with the white linen table clothes. Courtney, the bartender, was very engaging. She made the perfect Expresso Martini with tequila. Very tasty! Will definitely come back to try other items on their menu when we have more of an appetite.

Yelp
Good but not my favorite Northend restaurant. Service is amazing. Romantic setting. Business casual. The complimentary bread comes with three dipping selections. Garlic, pesto, and a bean dip. The entree portions are on the smaller side. Menu has lots of selections. Cocktail menu is pricey. I had the old fashioned that had great flavor but it was full of ice, which watered the drink down.

Yelp
My husband and I flew into town for a quick weekend get away. We had dinner at another restaurant however we came here for our after dinner cocktail. Bricco's came highly recommended for their Espresso Martini. They did not disappoint, it was absolutely delicious. We will definitely stop back for food if time permits. Friendly staff and the ambiance was welcoming.

Yelp
Our first time in Boston and we picked one of the best Italian places right off the first shot! We walked up to Bricco, not knowing what to expect and we left and felt like we experienced a little bit of Italy here in the Northeast! . When you walk in, they will serve you bread at your table with three types of dipping sauces. It looks great in the picture, but the bread was a little dry for my tastes. We didn't get the caprice salad which was phenomenal and colorful and looked great. Well presented! We then the ravioli with beef that was absolutely flavorful, and the sauce was outstanding! Great place to visit when you're exploring the north end in Boston

Yelp
Here for a work dinner but Bricco never disappoints. This place is always busy which tells you something. Sat upstairs by the window with a great view of Hanover street. Service was outstanding. The upstairs has a little bit of an old house feel but quite nice. Now the food. Appetizers were the octopus, meatballs, and shrimp scampi. All were delish but the octopus was the highlight. Perfectly cooked, delish. Then the entrees. The had the Bricco Brodetto, a full plate of fish and shellfish in a light savory delicious broth. Highly recommend it. Others at the table had an array of pastas and one steak. Everything looked delish. Dessert highlight was the deconstructed tiramisu. Outstanding. This is one of my favorite places in the North End.

Yelp
I was in Boston foe one night. Sat at the bar. The bartender was super efficient but distant. The free bread w roasted garlic and pesto was, by far, the highlight of my meal. The carpaccio didn't have a lot of meat and the lemon in the arugula almost completely overpowered the aged beef. The mussels were super tasty but, rather than providing some bread to stop up the broth (arguably the best part) it was accompanied by a thin slice of burnt toast. The gnocchi sorrento was excellent. I didn't find it great value.

Yelp
Bricco is a great Italian restaurant. The taste of the food was amazing and the service was friendly and attentive. We were in Boston for a night and were looking for a good meal. A local recommended Bricco as one of their favorite go to spots. The restaurant was full, but we were able to get a couple of seats at the bar. The bartender was friendly and gave good service. The food was incredible. -- We started with bread, garlic, pesto and seasonings (10/10). -- For appetizer, we had CAB Dry Aged Beef Carpaccio with arugula, parmigiano and truffle essence (8/10). -- For the meal, we had another appetizer - Octopus which was dry roasted with ginger & jalapeño crust and served with purple potato and string bean salad. This was amazing (10/10). -- For dessert we had a Deconstructed Tiramisú. Very good (9/10). I highly recommend Bricco. Fantastic food.

Yelp
Bricco was my last restaurant stop during my Boston trip. It's definitely a great place and we were seated by the window so we had a good view of the street. The menu isn't huge, but the food items our table ordered were very delicious. The service of degree in our experience here overall was very good.
google avatar

Yelp
Of all the Italian places in northern Bricco stands out more than the rest. They have the most comfortable bar and knowledgeable staff. The pasta is excellent but highly recommend getting one of the meat choices. I have been here multiple times and truly enjoy it every time.
google avatar

Yelp
Very lively atmosphere with a large wrap around bar! I heard their espresso martinis were delicious, but I ended up going with a cabernet since they had a good wine selection. The bread with trio dips was good. Service was good. I was quite disappointed with the tortelli pumpkin pasta...while the presentation was classy this was more expensive for the least amount of pasta I ate in the North End. I was hoping the taste of the tortelli pumpkin would at least be decadent, but the pumpkin wasn't smooth at all and the veggies on top were crunchy which really took away from the flavor balance; the dish could have really used some more sage. I wish I had gotten their gnocchetti sorrentina as that looked really good.
google avatar

George B.

Yelp
This is an espresso martini only review, because that is why I come here. I travel to Boston for work on occasion. There are many places I like to stop for a meal but only one that I come to for an espresso martini - right here. It is actually made with espresso (you would be surprised to see what some other places do) and offers killer flavor. We prefer to go straight to a corner of the bar and make our order. It comes quickly, and then we get to just sip and relax. Sure sometimes there is a bit of hustle and bustle but nothing gets in the way of espresso martini nirvana. The menu says the martini is famous. I do not know if that is true but it should be!
google avatar

Yhon S.

Yelp
This was my first time in this restaurant and I am not big on Italian cuisine, however the food was really good. Our server was attentive and she explained all the options in an efficient way. Although we did not get bread until I asked for it. My dish (gnocchi) filled me up and it was tasty. The temperature of the plates were ideal - not too hot, not too cold - the crème brule was not crispy in the top, it was not as creamy as I was expecting but it was delicious. Our table was located on the second floor and its location was next to a busy section, which was a little tight. I really like the lighting which was not dark nor too bright, however I hope they rearrange the tables so it is not as crowed while you are eating

Yelp
My Valentine's evening at Bricco was nothing short of delightful. The restaurant was buzzing with energy, creating a lively and romantic atmosphere. We kicked off the night with an espresso martini and a chocolate martini; the former lived up to its hype, and the latter evoked nostalgic sensory memories of sipping chocolate milk as kids. For starters, we indulged in the zucchini flowers stuffed with ricotta cheese, a beautifully presented dish that stood out as my favorite of the night. The combination of flavors was exquisite, making it a true highlight. The insalata mista with passion fruit purée served as our second starter, offering a refreshing and delicious palate cleanser. Moving on to the main courses, the braised beef short ribs with polenta stole the show. The tenderness of the ribs and the richness of the polenta created an outstanding dish. As a second main, we opted for the Pappardelle al Cinghiale, a pasta and wild boar dish. While delicious, it leaned towards being overly meaty, and I anticipated a more pasta-centric focus, especially given its place in the artisanal pasta section. Throughout the evening, the service was exceptional, adding to the overall positive experience. Bricco provided the perfect setting for a fantastic Valentine's date, with a wonderful ambiance, delicious food, and impeccable service. Highly recommended for a special occasion or a memorable dining experience.

Yelp
Dinner was fabulous and the service was amazing. This was a great dinner to celebrate with friends

Yelp
Don't get me wrong-- I DO love the food here. We ordered the burrata and meatballs to start, and the pappardelle al cinghiale (wild boar braised in red wine with mushrooms) and the tortelli pumpkin as mains, and we loved every dish. Oh, and the espresso martinis were *chef's kiss* However, the wait was ridiculous. We had a reservation and got seated and introduced by the server right away, but we did not see the server for another hour thereafter... which is weird because the place is kind of small (but it was also cramped). And they are so quick to turn the tables over once they check out lol.

Yelp
Bricco is a go to for us when we have folks visiting from out of town. This past trip we had a group of 5 and were seated upstairs. I wasn't the best at taking pictures but we had so much great food. To start: Bread with accoutrements (spreads/roasted garlic) Meatballs - the sauce was addicting Polenta - usually I'm not a huge fan but the flavors of this were on point Beef tartare - the truffle was so delicious Caeser salad - just okay, wouldn't order again Entrees: Ricotta pillows: me or someone in my group always has to order these and they are always delicious. The portion isn't huge but it's just so tasty Gnocchi: pretty run of the mill but good Rack of lamb and lobster mash: I didn't try it but it was thoroughly enjoyed by my friend. Garganelli Amatriciana: a miss for the group. It was very smoky tasting because of the pancetta, but if you are into that maybe you would like it. Dessert: GET THE ESPRESSO MARTINIS also we ordered tiramisu without looking at the menu because what else do you do at an Italian place and it was made at the table side which was so cool and unique!
google avatar

Ted G.

Yelp
This tasty little Italian restaurant is not an easy place to find, but being tucked away in a small alleyway clearly doesn't hurt their business. I was looking for a light sandwich for lunch, but here they don't serve anything light, here a sandwich is a meal! Being an Italian restaurant surrounded by Italian markets that sell everything homemade, I felt it necessary to try a meatball sub which was excellent. The house made meatballs with the perfect consistency for a sandwich, smothered in a rich sauce and stuffed in the fresh sourdough bread was excellent. It's a great little takeout shop that serves excellent food, if you're lucky you might find a seat at one of the two tables outside. Cheers!
google avatar

Mal L.

Yelp
Service was a 5 Food was a 4 Ambiance on a Saturday night a 3 It was jam-packed in here and incredibly loud. It's definitely not the spot for a romantic dinner. The bathrooms were a disaster, I even picked up the woman's bc it was embarrassing. We ordered the carpaccio and pork parpadelle pasta. Both entrees were delicious. They're known for their handmade pasta, which they do in-house. I made reservations online, and there is a full bar if you'd like drinks. When I asked if they checked coats they looked at me like I was crazy then realized it's a thing LOL and they checked mine. It's a small place with no where to put anything.

Yelp
This is a nice restaurant. The bartenders and servers are professional. You come here for a treat and leave with an experience. As an avid North End explorer and resident I declare Bricco's espresso martini the most excellent. But the food is the real reason you come here and blow a paycheck. The pasta is worth every penny. *chefs kiss

Yelp
Bricco is located in the heart of the North End (aka close to all the cannolis and dessert places). We had reservations so we were seated quickly. Our server, Gonsalvo, was incredibly attentive and made wonderful recommendations. We ordered the meatballs, some truffle/beef/veal pasta special dish, and the gnocchetti. SO GOOD. The portion sizes were perfect, the pasta itself had a nice chew, and we left feeling full but not painfully full. The restaurant was cozy but not claustrophobic. It was a little too dark to see the interior design but the ambiance was there. OH. We were also there celebrating our birthdays and Gonsalvo got us a birthday dessert with limoncello shots, which were honestly the cherry on top of a most wonderful dinner. Thank you so much for having us!!
google avatar

Yelp
One of the best dinners I've had in Boston. From the appetizers to dessert we enjoyed ourselves. Gluten free options were enough to satisfy me and so delicious. The filet was cooked perfectly and the sides equally good. It's hard to find a place in Boston lately with truly good food but Bricco's is amazing!
google avatar

Jifeng Z.

Yelp
Went to Bricco multiple times and they never cease to amaze us! The ossobuco was absolutely top notch! The margherita pizza, Duck, octopus were also delicious and the service was even better! Would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants fine Italian food, 100 stars

Andrew S.

Yelp
The atmosphere is amazing, this is what the North End should be like ... kind of a fancier nicer restaurant on Hanover. Waiter was very nice and helpful. Oysters were delicious and fresh. Both my dining partner's lobster pasta and my truffle risotto were really well done, elegant and classy. I had a glass of the Amarone which was just OK. Overall, a wonderful experience. I wish I lived in Boston so I could go to these types of restaurants all the time ...
google avatar

Sandra D.

Yelp
We stumbled upon this bar walking in the North End looking for an Espresso Martini. We loved the atmosphere of sitting at the bar close to the outside area. The Espresso Martini was smooth but very rich and filling. We also were talked into trying the pistachio shot, and were pleasantly surprised how delicious it was! The perfect dessert shot if you are looking for one. The bartender was friendly and even gave us recommendations around town to try. Definitely recommend checking this place out!

Yelp
Came in for a random weekday dinner with friends. The place was decently busy around the 6:30 dinnertime but we were seated quickly and the servers were attentive. The complimentary bread was okay, a bit hard and maybe not the freshest though. We got the burrata as an appetizer and that was really good but maybe could've come with more than one slice of bread. For my main, I got their penne pasta with lobster meat dish. I really liked it. The pasta was fresh and perfectly cooked and they were really generous with the lobster meat, esp for the price. Nice environment for a summer dinner. The windows were all open to the north end busy streets. Overall, a good place for dinner. Not mind blowing but a nice dinner in the north end!

Sam S.

Yelp
I went to Bricco last night with my friends for dinner and it has to be one of the worst food experiences I have ever had in the North End. We ordered the oysters to start and there was so many broken shells in it that we could've broken a teeth. I ordered the beef short ribs and that was a big mistake! The presentation was nice but the meat was way overcooked that it actually required the knife to cut it apart. Truly well cooked short ribs will come apart with just the fork. My friends' pasta dishes were much better. My gf got the farfalle and she loved that. My other friend got the pumpkin pasta and he loved that too. The desserts and espresso martini were the only good parts of this $100 meal a person

Meg N.

Yelp
The most delicious food! They don't have a kids menu but were accommodating to my kids with spaghetti and meatballs! Espresso martini was delish and service was awesome!
google avatar

Yesenia V.

Yelp
Incredibly mediocre for the pricing and the hype this restaurant receives. Do not recommend the mushroom soup at all!! Worst thing that we tried. Possibly one of the worst soups I've ever had. The entrees weren't bad but again, mediocre at best. The service was decent - they were attentive and they have plenty of staff around for when you need something. The ambiance is typical of an Italian restaurant in the North End. Very middle of the road, average Italian restaurant. Would definitely pick others in the north end before this one.
google avatar

Richard K.

Yelp
All the hustle and bustle of the north end packed into a small space with a large menu. Fabulous service, great selection of wine by the glass, and all the Italian classics. Everything is done really well. Bravisimo

Yelp
I took my wife and daughters there for my wife's special birthday dinner, hoping for a memorable evening out. It was memorable, but not as we hoped. The tables are tightly packed and so are all the customers. Staff were pleasant enough but too busy to pay much attention. And when my wife got the tortellini, it came on a huge plate with a cup sized dent in the middle that had 5 tortellini in it for over $20. Sorry, Bricco, but that was the wrong type of memory to leave us with. If you do go here, get the Veal Ossobuco, which was very large and delicious.

Yelp
The sign on Hanover St make claim to the best sandwiches in town and directs you to into walking alley, that sets the picture for hidden gem. Of course we got the Italian's Special. The ingredients were splendid, a thin on the meat quantity, unfortunately the bread quality was too hard. We took the sandwiches back to the balcony in our room it was our loss.

Yelp
Very disappointed! Ordered the pumpkin tortellini's I got 4 of them for 28 dollars! The waiter kept rushing us out. When we asked for dessert to go he told us to go next door at Modern Pastry. Very disappointed

Yelp
3.5 stars. Great place to sit at the bar and grab a drink. Bar is beautiful and a great atmosphere. However, the food itself is....largely underwhelming. Split the Pappardelle Al Cinghiale and the Gnocchi Sorrentina with my girlfriend, and both were subpar. The plating lacked care, and the food itself was unfortunately average. One positive note is the bread brought before the food, as the bread was absolutely perfect and the accompanying dips tasty. Would definitely recommend grabbing a drink here, but eating elsewhere!

Yelp
My friends and I decided to explore a new spot in the North End. We always walked past Bricco and it looked cozy, so we decided to try it out. We went on the weekend around 6:30 PM and it was pretty busy/packed. The chairs were a bit tight and close together, but it didn't bother us too much. The food at Bricco was great, with well-plated dishes and appropriate portion sizes. We opted for the Frittura Mista for our appetizer and I tried the Pappardelle al Cinghiale for my main. The pricing was within our expectations, comparable to other places we've visited in the North End. However, it took an unusually long time for the wait staff to take our order and serve our food. The wait time exceeded an hour from ordering to receiving our entrees, which was disappointing. In summary, if you're looking for a cozy atmosphere, tasty food, and don't mind a lengthy dining experience, Bricco could be a suitable choice. However, if prompt service is a priority to you, there might be better options in the North End worth exploring.

Yelp
I sat at the bar and started with a glass of wine and ordered the ricotta pillows. They brought out bread and a trio of roasted garlic, pesto and then I think a bean trip of some sort. These were phenomenal. On the pasta, to be honest I was expecting something like gnocchi, but it was actually more of a ravioli. Flavors were good and I'm happy I ordered that. I'd get it again! Service was great at the bar and it was a quaint moody spot in the north end.
