"Glendale’s Brick and Flour opened a second outlet a stone’s throw from Pasadena City College. The fast-casual Mexican spot encourages diners to DIY tacos, burritos, tortas, and bowls." - Cathy Chaplin

Google
A pretty good fast food Mexican restaurant that does all the classics. The flavors are good and the portions are big. The interior is very clean and well designed. The chips come with some seasoning which was good. Staff are very friendly and the food comes pretty quickly. Overall a good option for a quick and filling meal.

Google
Average food from a location more oriented for takeout and delivery than dine in. The fish bowl was bland and lacking flavor; however, I must say the vegetables were very fresh and generously used in the bowl. I also ordered a queisdila with shrimp which was hot and larger than expected. Overall, I was pleased with my meal.

Listen, they make good food, the workers are good, not great, but they're good. The issue is have is that the PRICING ONLING IS FALSE. I ordered two 10 dollar burritos over the phone. Come to pick it up and my bill is 30 bucks. Their 9.95 al pastor burrito is actually 13.95 when you come in. The owner needs to fix this because having out dated pricing is just straight up false advertising. Again, love the food. Good workers, place is clean. But there's no reason why a burrito should be 40% more expensive than a year ago. Atleast list it correctly.

After a long day at Universal Studios, we saw on the internet that Brick and Flour was open till 10 pm. We arrived at 9:30. I apologized to the counter person for being late diners, but he didn't even acknowledge my comment. We tried to place our order at the kiosk, but unfortunately it was not working. We asked if we could place our order at the counter. Even though they weren't closing for half an hour, he was already counting the cash from the register. Seeing that, we decided to pay by card rather than cash as we had planned. We ordered two burritos and two tacos. After we placed the order, he informed us that there was no more dining in. It was apparent that we were not welcome. At that point, we just wanted to get our food and go. Once we were in our car, we opened our food. The food was literally dripping with grease. It was incredibly messy to eat and the amount of grease made it inedible after just a few bites. At the end of the day we spent $40 on food we ended up tossing in the trash. We will not be coming back. There is a Brick and Flour in Valencia where we've dined at with outstanding customer service; perhaps this location could learn from them.☹️

All my gal has to say is, "Brick and Morty," and I know it's gonna be a good night. This is our favorite place, and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The fries have this awesome seasoning. The burritos are incredible no matter what you get. The workers there are the best. Couldn't recommend this place more.

Google
I ordered a large beer battered carne asada fries (4/5). When I received my fries, I was surprised by how much food it was. There’s more than enough fries and meat for one person but not for two. I also ordered some churro bites (5/5), which used to be a churro donut. I highly recommend these to anyone who likes churros. Getting here is easy, it’s not hard to find. There is free parking in the back. You can enter the store from the front or the back and there’s plenty of seating inside.

Google
Heard about this place so we decided to try it out myself tried the asada fries and a al pastor & asada very tasty i love the sauce they put in it burrito also ordered crispy chicken burrito, and a order of asada fries ..we will be back...

Google
It's good, I will give it 88 in the 100 range. The flavor is so good. I had chili cheese fries before, but it is the first time I had such fries. I like the avocado mixed with various spices. I love it.

Yelp
I originally wanted Greek food next door but they were closed. This was my first time eating here. All the businesses are somewhat on a neglected or sleepy street. I walked here. They have a few tables outside to eat with seating indoors as well. On a Sunday afternoon, I could only see two workers. The same guy who cooked my food was the one who rang me up. Note- the breakfast burrito is served all day, good portion but is not listed as an option to order through the kisok. You have to order this item through an employee It's $13 (a little expensive) but really really good. I asked for the house salsa on the side. It honestly doesn't need it. I'm looking forward to walking back to try the carne asada fries!

Olive J.

Yelp
I've been a loyal customer of Brick and Flour in Pasadena for their late hours, but last night was the last straw. When I walked in and asked if they were open, the employee mumbled something unintelligible under his breath, rolled his eyes, and shook his head in clear annoyance. It was evident he was angry we showed up 20 minutes before closing. I asked again if they were open, and got a begrudging "yeah." I tried to clarify if I should order with him or use the kiosk, but his constant mumbling made it impossible to understand. His hostile demeanor made us feel like we were intruding. When I thanked him for my food, he completely ignored me--no "you're welcome" or "have a good night." Just cold silence and dirty looks. To make matters worse, I spent $50 on food that was hastily thrown together and burnt. I could have gone to Jack in the Box next door for better food and service. This place used to be my go-to for late-night eats, but after this horrendous experience, I'll never be back.

Rae R.

Yelp
The carneasada fries had too much sour cream and nacho cheese on it. So the fries were too soggy to eat. I'm not much of a fan of nacho cheese on carneasada fries. The service was nice, and ambiance was chill. Not a good spot for Carneasada Fries in my opinion.

Natel S.

Yelp
Brick and flour is definitely one of my favorite late night spots. I love their carne asada fries. It's perfect for a quick late night bite and if you're in the mood for a good taco or burrito.

Joseph B.

Yelp
I remember when this place was packed all the time, went in today. The ordering kiosk was not working, finally the guy acknowledged me after 6 min of standing there. Btw Not one customer in the restaurant and the guy said it's 20-30 min for one burrito. If they keep driving customers out of here they'll be closed for good in no time.

Yelp
Brick & Flour has been on my list of places to try for a while now. IG makes everything look oh so tasty. We received a Grub Hub gift card for our wedding. Who doesn't like food right? Had a lazy weekend and that gift card came in super handy. We were excited to see Brick & Flour on the list of delivery options. We ordered the Shrimp Bowl and Carne Asada Bowl. Happy to see the portions weren't tiny. First bite..wow. Tons of flavor. The shrimp has a great smoky flavor and the combination of guac, pickled onions, and all the other tasty bits mixed in packed quite the punch. We enjoyed our food so much that we made it a point to make an in person visit. I don't think I'd be able to order anything other than the shrimp bowl since I loved it so much. My son enjoyed his fish tacos and my husband went heart eyes for the al pastor bowl. Street art on the walls were a nice touch and there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Will be back for more of that shrimp!!!!

Jessica C.

Yelp
This place has quickly become a favorite!!!! My goodness the nachos, the bowls, I want to try other stuff but those two are just so freaking tasty I can't bring myself to try other things. Sevice is excellent, friendly staff, cute wall art also, only warning is you may get hooked! It's that good

Nancy F.

Yelp
Food is fine. The service however was horrible. Two very grumpy guys who did not give me the time of day and would prefer that I wait for them to take the orders from the entire line before checking my to go order on the counter so I could leave. If I could just leave without you checking it, why say "you will be with me a minute." No you won't. It wasn't til I waited and started to take my food that the guy in the back grumpily muttered something about it being my order . Also why not use two bags instead of crushing the orders . The heavy bowl was placed on top of the two boxes causing them to be opened in the bag. Not impressed.

Ann T.

Yelp
PRO-TIP: Yelp Check In for a 10% discount off the entire order. I remember this place (at least I think it was this business) had a Yelp Elite event but I didn't make the cut for it. Was pretty disappointed, but once I saw that it was close by to where we were at, we made the decision to stop by. There's street parking and parking in the church lot when it's not a Sunday. Some seating outside and a couple tables inside. Very bright and well lit eatery with some street themed aesthetic choices (neon lights, etc). You can choose whichever protein or combo you'd like in the form of a bowl, torta, burrito, or tacos. We got the: 1) House Special Bowl: -This comes with top sirloin roast beef, Spanish rice, pinto beans, lettuce, house salsa, guacamole, chipotle aioli, and scallions. -They don't skip out on the ingredients since initially I didn't even think it was a rice bowl before I sifted through the huge layer of beans. -Generous with the guac too. 2) Cup of Street Corn: -You can also get this in cob form if that is what you desire. -Comes with mayo, cheese, cayenne, scallions. -A bit more liquidy and watery than I would usually prefer but not bad. As for salsa, we got the salsa verde. There are fountain drink machines and the utensils are in those disposable packets. All of our food was packed already ready for to go. Decent Mexican fusion place.

Wing C.

Yelp
The chicken was very salty and my rice was drenched in salsa water? It wasn't great. My husband had the fish burrito and said there were more peppers than fish. He wasn't sure what he actually bit into.

Katie M.

Yelp
Brick and Flour is a go-to for us. We love the food, especially the chicken and fish burritos. The burritos are a good amount of food for what you pay. Each menu item is a winner. I definitely recommend checking this place out if you haven't.

Kaelan G.

Yelp
decided to try the Pasadena location after going to the Glendale one so many times since I was in the area... probably not coming back. I just saw one of the workers (glasses, braided hair but with buzzed down sides) wipe his nose and proceed to grab some meat and throw it down on the stove with the same hand . All without a glove.... Plus it was the same guy who took my order who definitely gave off the vibe that he did not care too. Pretty alarming to see especially since the Glendale location has always been so clean and the staff were great. all locations aren't built the same I guess.

Willis C.

Yelp
Great place, friendly staff, food was good. My wife really enjoyed the crispy chicken tacos. I enjoyed the carne asada fries. The house salsa has some kick, so feel free to put that on the side if you don't want it spicy.

RandeeMarie C.

Yelp
Service sucks - tried getting my refund back for an order that I placed on their website but never received ANY of their items bc they kept cancelling it & didn't receive my refund

Frank L.

Yelp
Afternoon staff is cool. Friendly, welcoming service. The burritos are fat and loaded with meat. Night time staff is a different story. Dude looks at you like you like you're the scum of the earth. His hostile manner makes you feel like you're begging for food. Hell I don't even look at panhandlers that way. He looks at you like you stole something from him. I should've listened to the wife and just left but figured I was already there. I tried to call the owner to let them know but was told the owner is not there often. It's a shame, dude is addicted to the phone and rather scroll through reels than service customers. I'm a local business owner and worked in the food industry for over 10 years. I treat people with kindness and always tip generously. Night time staff gets a big zero. Have some pride in your work my dude. Your angry attitude towards customers is an embarrassment.

Lina R.

Yelp
The service of this place is the worst service I have ever received. We had to wait for 10 minutes before he decided to take the order then The cashier treated us like we were an inconvenience to him, visibly annoyed that we were there. No greeting, not even how can I help? He just stood there gave me a look of why are you here, and took the order without even acknowledging the customer. When I said thanks he rudely ignore me and gave me a dirty look. Terrible customer service. And to make things worse the horchata was expired.

Kimberly R.

Yelp
Gastroenteritis. Horrible food poisoning due to contaminated shrimp. Never eating there again. It was the first and only food I ate today, because I haven't been able to keep anything down since. There was a sign in the front asking for tips because the employee was working the entire restaurant alone. Please hire more staff. Poor management decision endangers customers. Will not be going back.

Sherry S.

Yelp
Chill Saturday. I always like it here. Parking on the street or small lot in the back.

Jerry T.

Yelp
Feedback from a 9-year-old. Cool yum tacos! Yum corn. But ac. Looks nice inside. Nice and accommodating people. Very chill. Foods good.

Matthew F.

Yelp
Always like coming here for great Mexican food. Service is always great. Chill vibes.

Brandon W.

Yelp
Really great! Chips and Guacamole were really good. The chips were made fresh to order. All ingredients were fresh and tasty! This is not a "chipotle copy". Fresh made good food. We'll be back!

Eddie L.

Yelp
Great place, just bought a burrito and beer battered carne asada fries! The serving was way bigger than anticipated and was delicious. I'll be back!!!

Blake R.

Yelp
Food is above average and yummy. Service is ok just sometimes busy for small talk. Overall ambiance is chill and very clean. Would return with friends or someone trying something new.

Joanne F.

Yelp
Really good place for carne asada fries! The wait for food isn't too long, and food came out hot

Nathaniel H.

Yelp
Shoutout to this location of Brick and Flour! I love the shrimp tacos, the shrimp bowl, and the fries, and the vibe and service is always cool as well. Major shoutout to Jacob that works the front counter. He's always positive, cool, and kind whenever I order from them. Show him some love!

Asiamae P.

Yelp
My husband and I came to eat here as we passed by Pasadena. Their food was very good. We both enjoyed our meals. I'm not sure if it was just the day we were there but as we were hitting the triple digits, it was very warm in their establishment. I'm not sure if they just don't have AC or it just wasn't running that day, but it felt better to sit outside instead of indoors where it was a little stuffy. The service was pretty fast, the 2 gentlemen that worked there were very quiet and didn't say much but did make sure to let us know our food was ready. Their horchata was pretty delicious. We'd come back again.

Jihee P.

Yelp
To start, this place had me on a chokehold my entire third trimester. I am not the type to get the same plate everytime and I'm definitely not a nacho type of person especially for having gifted lactose intolerance from my Asian ancestors. But I sent my husband on late night runs to Brick & Flour more times than I can count for their asada nachos. With NO CHEESE. Their asada is always well seasoned and their aioli sauce and salsa is just chef's kiss. And even without the cheesy goodness it always hit the spot. When I felt dangerous I did grab a few bites from my husband's cheese covered plate and it was absolutely delicious. I thought it was my pregnancy taste buds and my obsession with no cheese nacho plate will be over once I had the baby. So I sent my husband once again, ready to bid good bye expecting disappointment. But I was wrong. It was still so good. Brick & Flour did it again. This has become our regular spot and according to my husband the staff is just as pleasant. I'm ending this review just as my husband walk in with our food. If you are in the area, I recommend! And bonus for staying open late.

Yelp
CHRIS & GEO Gave Excellent Service, 10/10 Brought My Family here for the first time, they loved it! loved the service love the setting & the staff members made us feel very welcomed and served us some Great Food! Will Come Again, Please Stop By this Hidden Gem

Alice A.

Yelp
The food is amazing and the service is top tier. I always come to eat here with my bf after class. The service is pretty amazing per usual. The cashier was so friendly (give her a raise) Seriously tho the food is good

Barry L.

Yelp
Food was really greasy (moreso than any other Mexican food I've eaten before), meat was dry.

Will C.

Yelp
I really like the food here. I've been going to the Glendale location ever since they opened and I was really happy to see one in Pasadena now. I usually stick with the carne asada, it's consistently very good. I've tried it all four ways and each time it was really delicious. This last time we ordered the large carne asada fries and it was so good! It was loaded with a lot of meat, sour cream, guac, etc. It's honestly enough for two people. One thing to look out for is the 6% service charge. Not a big deal, just be aware of it when you're paying. Otherwise the food and service was really good.

Henry G.

Yelp
Heard about this place so we decided to try it out myself tried the asada fries and a al pastor & asada very tasty i love the sauce they put in it burrito also ordered crispy chicken burrito, and a order of asada fries ..we will be back...

Ikem C.

Yelp
These gentlemen don't say "hello" when you walk in or "thank you" when they hand you a receipt. I would have asked for a refund but I was starving. Shameful. 07/15/2024. 6pm

Ashley B.

Yelp
I've been to two other Brick & Flour locations. North Hollywood - Awesome. Glendale - eh, they failed to tell us our food was up to the point that it was barely warm by the time we inquired about it and discovered it was just sitting on the counter. This location? Not much better than Glendale. We came here for a friend's birthday (why fast food was her birthday pick, I do not know, but that's beside the point). The two employees who took our orders were nice enough. They had 2 registers open. In our group of 5, three ordered at one register, two ordered at the other. The first 3 orders came out in a decently quick manner. By my order and the person who ordered ahead of me....nowhere to be found. So we're waiting, and waiting. And see at least 7 or so to go orders go out. A couple that came in long after us got their food, so that's when we decided to ask what was up. Because everyone else in the group is politely waiting for everyone to have food to dig in, but now everyone's food is probably getting cold and soggy. The guy who took our orders asked to confirm our names on the orders. Did a little back and forth with the kitchen and the other employee. Apologized that sometimes that register doesn't send the orders and then sent them to the kitchen. Uh, if you knew that sometimes that register doesn't send the orders, you would think you'd verify that they went through in the first place? -_- I should have been wary when my friend and I both placed our orders on that register and were told the receipt printer isn't working. Alas. After some more waiting, my burrito comes out. And after a lot more waiting, my friend's fries come out. Yay we finally all have food! Also, I'm not sure if the A/C in this place was broken or isn't on or is poorly functioning in general, but it was uncomfortably warm in there the entire time, only made worse by being hungry and sans food for so long. I literally went through 2 and a half rounds of fountain drink before my food came out. After all was said and done, my burrito was just okay. I had to cut it open to verify they added my cheese and sour cream to it, because I couldn't really tell in the first few bites. They did, indeed, but it was such a minuscule amount that it seemed pointless, especially given the upcharge. Everyone else enjoyed their food. I have enjoyed other items from Brick and Flour in the past (house special torta, chicken bowl, house special tacos...) but the burrito missed the mark for me. I also think maybe a dessert or something could have been thrown in for the excessive wait time that threw off our party's eating schedule here in addition to the too warm atmosphere. But alas. Won't be coming back to this location.

Cristina A.

Yelp
We love brick and flour burritos! Had to come here to celebrate "National burrito day" today. With kids you know having menu variety is key to happy kids and we got a breakfast burrito and carne asada burrito with leftovers for later. Great value, taste and service! The churro donut is delicious too

Christine T.

Yelp
I ordered the fish burrito and it tastes fresh, it was served warm and the tortilla is crunchy outside. The burrito is a good size and packed with goodness. The cashier was polite, helpful and friendly. The place is well kept and clean.

Alef M.

Yelp
I asked for a breakfast burrito with no pico, easy bacon, with chipotle aioli and asked for it to be cut in half. They did complete opposite of my order. They added pico, had no Aioli, and burrito was not cut. They made a new one with what I asked, and my burrito looks and feels like they drenched my burrito with a bowl of grease or oil from the stove. It is disgusting and they ruined my appetite and messed up on 2 burritos back to back.

Jessica U.

Yelp
Love that it's open late!!!! Nothing is in la haha. Clean and nice and I can't wait for my food to come out

Alex K.

Yelp
Totally disgusting. How dare you send me burnt food. Never ever visiting this place again. Food quality is a hit or miss and they don't event take responsibility or own up to their mistakes.

Kaitlyn L.

Yelp
When we first got inside there was no worker in site. Then when a worker came out he was busy and told us to wait. Another worker came over to take our order and didn't greet us and did not say a single word (even when we asked a question about the sizing). So the service was not great. Then when we got our food he just handed us the bag; didn't ask if we wanted utensils or sauce. When other people got their food we heard the worker ask if they wanted hot sauce. When we sat down to eat it was really disappointing taking a first look at it but never judge a book by its cover. So we tried it and it was not what we were expecting. The look of the food and taste was not good at all (didn't look like how they portray it to be on Yelp). So not a great experience.

Crisheen I.

Yelp
Tacos Desvelados is always a vibe! So cutely decorated, fun lights inside, with cute decor, and music. The food is amazing! We usually get the Gorditas, asada fries, and have tried different types of tacos. The miches are also delicious! The service here is GREAT! (Honestly prefer this location over Glendale, which is always overly crowded for some reason). Our server Axel was soooo nice! Super attentive, even thought he was working alone. Axels energy made our dining experience a great one!

Benjamin F.

Yelp
This was our go to spot for asada fries, but the service has been horrible the last two times. Last time, the guy didn't want to take our order and instead told us to use the self service kiosk. The kiosk says for take out only. This time, we came at 7pm on 11/29 and walked in and the kiosk wasn't working. We let the guy know, and he rolled his eyes and mumbled something and just stood there waiting for our order. When the food was done, he placed it on the counter and walked away without even asking if we wanted salsa. I asked for salsa, and he gave me one even though there were two separate orders. When I asked if we could have one each, he rolled his eyes and tossed another on the counter. Needless to say we won't be coming back.

Jimmy G.

Yelp
Should be a 4.5 but customer service was terrible. I guess they are only used to online orders. I didn't want to ask for anything else after the cashier/cook was clearly annoyed that I asked anything in the first place. With all that being said the food was delicious. I want to go back but maybe to a different location. We went to the one in Pasadena.

Feebers

Yelp
My dad told me to check this place out since it's in the area and I had some leftovers of his i thought were pretty good. I went for myself and got their asada fries and they are sooooo good and their service was pretty quick and they also had lots to choose from. I really thought their fries were amazing and this is a place I will be taking friends to.

Scott A.

Yelp
I think this place has the best burritos in Pasadena. So why three stars? The poor and inconsistent service. I've found the staff to be unnecessarily gruff when taking phone orders. Also, they are prone to leaving things out of orders, e.g. forgetting guacamole that was ordered or not including salsa unless specifically asked.

Tiffiny H.

Yelp
I got a crispy chicken burrito and it was as big as my forearm! Huge! And really good. The guy at the register was really nice and so was the guy who prepared and served me my food. I would love to go back and try some other menu items.

Danielle R.

Yelp
I just saw this place today on Instagram.......So i decided to try it out...... My nachos were I would definitely order them again

Flip B.

Yelp
Food was decent, service was good, chill ambient to eat nice artwork and set up for the restaurant. I had a few different things the carnitas are not it. Asada was a bit too overcooked and salty, the pastor was decent, the burritos are good, once everything is in them theyre good the meat could be better, the price was okay for the amount of food you get pretty clean i would eat here again. 4 out of 5 if the carnitas and asada were better it would be a solid 5

Joriene M.

Yelp
Food (5/5 stars): Brick & Flour's Carne Asada Fries were heavenly. The combination of the carne asada and their chipotle and cilantro avocado aioli was chef's kiss. To top it off, this was only $7! Experience (5/5 stars): * Price: VERY good price * Wait Time: minimal on a Sunday afternoon * Service: good * Parking: they have a parking lot * Ambiance: it's a nice quick service restaurant with decent amount of indoor and outdoor seating
