Exceptional Willamette Valley Restaurants to Visit Post-Wine Tasting
"Located in an airy 1886 church on Dayton’s sleepy central square, Brick Hall is the restaurant is home base to Tournant, the Portland collective known for live-fire cooking and on-farm events. Chef de cuisine Nic Maraziti, who previously rolled pasta at Ave Gene’s and Piccone’s Corner, helms the day-to-day operations. The concise menu showcases extruded in-house pastas in tautly faithful Italian presentations including carbonara, amatriciana, and Oregon rifles like a squid ink-spaghettini loaded with Dungeness crab. To accompany them are seasonal small plates like grilled little gem Caesar salad and a few larger ones. The n’duja-stuffed porchetta with charred cabbages is a stunner." - Emily Teel
Brick Hall is a communal dining space in the heart of wine country that focuses on local farm-driven fare inside a former 1886 church. Their seasonal dishes were ambrosial & beautifully composed, would definitely dine here again!! ⛪️👩🏻🌾🍷

Total hidden gem in Dayton! Absolutely worth the short drive if you’re staying in nearby McMinnville.
We did the chefs tasting menu and it was wonderful. The server and chef both did an excellent job sharing about all the local
Ingredients and seasonality of the products. The courses were great size, we weren’t left wanting more. Great pricing as well.
The wine list was lovely and the server provided great pairing recommendations.
Menus change monthly on the 15th. They have an al a carte menu as well! We will for sure be back!

This place is a gem. In an old church the interior very much has an old county farmhouse feel that is fantastic. The food shows great flavors and holds in the mouth. Take a group and split several things family style. You will want to try everything!!!!! The seeds and stems salad is absolutely AMAZING, but it has been a very long time since I have been somewhere where everything I tried was so delicious. Tried 9 things from the menu for a party of 6. So WONDERFUL.

What an amazing place... everything was perfect! My mom and I went for Sunday Supper which was a full meal including a cesar salad, lasagna and dessert. We tried both lasagna options (meat or veggie) which did not disappoint, both full of flavor and a unique take on the classic! This meal would not be complete without a superior Oregon wine, they have an amazing selection with one of my absolute favorites, Copper Mountain Vineyards.

Yelp
Ok, so this place really blew me away. The dishes were extremely creative with all locally sourced ingredients. They have a seasonal menu that changes throughout the year. The thing that I found really cool is the chef took the time to come out and chat with us about the dishes we ordered. I'd assume this was because it was a slower night, so I wouldn't expect it on a busier night. Regardless, the pasta dish was something else - everyone can do a pasta dish but this was so unusual and delicious it really stands out in my memory. I've been to fine dining restaurants all throughout the country and I can tell you this place is a hidden gem that deserves way more praise.

Yelp
We enjoyed an amazing meal with a multitude of selections and quality at every course. The chef served us and showed pride mixed with humility with each course. We started with arancini and fried mushrooms. Beyond description in terms of flavors: bold, savory, immaculate. Broccolini followed fried parsnips and purée underneath was beautifully presented. Squid ink pasta made in house with the freshest Oregon Dungeness crab. Big pieces, not small little bits. Finally beef shin that was so tender and flavorful. We managed to find room for a ricotta donut and espresso crème anglaise.
The best meal we have had in Oregon in a long time. The last meal we ate of this quality was in France. Go now. Support them. Such a beautiful space and location!

Yelp
