"As far as bakeries go, this one is pretty cool. Situated in a light airy warehouse off the high street, this is the perfect place to grab a coffee and some artisan sourdough at the weekend with friends." - 2A Studio

"Depending on your stride and/or obsession with letting a song finish before you go in somewhere, Brick House is about 30 steps away from Peckham Rye station. This bakery and coffee bar is a little on the small side, but it’s the perfect place to pretend to do some work and get a quick refuel in the morning or afternoon. If you fancy yourself as an amateur sleuth, you’ve probably already guessed that things on bread, between bread, or that are just simply bread, are well worth ordering." - Jake Missing

Lovely food but a bit pricey for what and where it is. Super convenient for station and does serve red brick coffee..... Dinner coming soon apparently Update-came back recently. I had a really nice experience here actually. V friendly staff and coffee was great.

Shame that this coffee shop is serving a not so quality coffee and sandwiches. It's a bit pricey for a cup of coffee and cold sandwich which takes ages to deliver to your table.

Lovely staff, nice atmosphere and a great place for a brunch or just some coffee!

I don't understand the bad reviews one bit... the coffee here is absolutely excellent, and only maybe 20% more expensive than Costa or Starbucks but the quality is twofold. The service is friendly and thorough. The bread is frankly some of the best bread in London. Plus their loyalty card for coffees is 7 rather than 10 at most other places. Trust me, the coffee is extremely delish and the bread is heavenly. Ignore the detractors.

Delicious coffee, fantastic cinnamon roll. I was a little taken aback by the price of the cinnamon roll, £3.50 seemed like a lot. But when I tasted it. Wow. It was so much nicer than any of the others I have tried. Such light and buttery pastry. Would highly recommend. The coffee was great too, although more typically priced.

Absolutely gutted that this places is closing down in the new year. Loved my morning coffees here. Their coffee and more importantly the baristas that work here are amazing. I'm not sure where I will get my morning caffeine fix from now, probably the coal rooms or old spike (both nearly as good). The food in this place was equally as good. The eggs and sourdough combo will be dearly missed.

It was my second visit there and I have to say definitely not going back. The prices killed me! For thin slice of bread with avocado I have paid £5.00, for a sandwich with minimal amount of hummus and one roasted pepper £6.50. Ridiculous!!! Wanted to buy coffee beans and was told that they can not grind it for me even though there was a grinder visible. Really bad place for brunch. Not recommend.

The coffee here is so delicious, once you have a coffee here you won't want to get one anywhere else. It's a really lovely cafe in the heart of Peckham and I hope they can expand to elsewhere in London. If you are in Peckham don't go anywhere else for coffee AND the people behind the till are very friendly which is a great perk on your morning commute.
